We stumbled upon this Idyllic quaint bistro cafe right smack on the waterfront of Cabbage Tree Aquatic reserve as we strolled from Manly beach to Shelly beach along the waterside walkway. We stopped for lunch and a quick refreshments. The food was great and the sea view is spectacular sun bathers paradise around the tidal rock pool. Easy access but popular location, However we were lucky to get a seat outside on a warm day the sea breeze so refreshing. Bring yr swimming gear, Highly recommended!

What a little discovery, a casual walk from Manly Beach towards Shelly Beach resides this casual little cafe on the water. Gorgeous views in a relaxed atmosphere with great coffee and all those cafe delights. My wife and I snuck in some oysters and some bubbles whilst taking in the breathtaking scenery. Also a great place to people watch if that's your thing or simply watch the world go by...

Its ok, nothing too special. The salmon was a tiny portion and the fish and chips had a bitter taste. Maybe would be a good spot just for a coffee or something simple. I wouldn't save this for a special occasion. Also the lunch menu online isn't correct

Wanted to grab a spot of lunch after a little seaside walk. We were lucky enough to get a table outside just after 1:30pm on which seemed to be a moderately busy day at the beach. It seems there are a few options to order here, you can download an app to order & pay or you can order & pay at the bar. The food came out pretty quick. The fish tacos were fantastic as was the rice salad & shoestring fries. Definitely a lovely place to have a relaxing meal & drink with the beach as your view.

AVERAGE AT BEST. Had a seafood platter for 2 (which includes wine - the wines were good!) for $90. To be honest, the grilled fish was good. Every other fish/seafood was « meh » at most. The prawns had NO FLAVOUR AT ALL! The « sashimi » & oysters were not bad but simply absolutely TASTELESS. I personally felt bad for the employees (both the italian waiter and the young girl working there were sweet and had great manners, they were NOT responsible for this situation I believe) as they looked understaffed and they came twice to offer me drinks i didnt order, i seen 2 tables around me also telling the waiters their orders were wrong. I guess except the veeery average (unexciting) food, the biggest issue is really that there is no table service / customer service almost. When we walked in, nobody greeted us, nobody said a “thank you” when we left. When you speak to the employees they are very nice but none of them seems to approach you if you don’t directly approach them (problem is, this isn’t a fish & chips or a mcDonalds, when you pay a decent price you also expect a decent service). The location is GORGEOUS and this is such a shame that such well located establishment seems so terribly managed.

Great breakfast, fantastic views, and the service is excellent. I had the poached eggs, my wife had the advocado. I thought it was a bit pricey, but it's a fair comparison of the prices in the area. Overall though an excellent experience, so it gets my recommendation.

Great view and outlook onto the water. Cool beachy vibes. Prices are high but it’s due to the location. Food and coffee were good. You need to order at the counter, which is understandable for the outside tables but table service would have been nice for the inside. Overall, we had a nice breakfast.

This little cafe is situated at such a good spot ! Right in front of the Shelly beach pool . Prices are high for what you get but it’s coz of the location. I got the okinomayaki pancake but i wish they served it with a poached egg, it’s yum but it was a little pricy and not like the way they serve it in Japan. Wish they had table service but it was overall a good experience . The menu was very limited they need to expand the menu a little more and not charge up to 7 dollars for add ons.

Look, this place ticks loads of boxes and the location is almost enough to make it 5 star by itself. The current incarnation of restaurant/cafe at this superb corner on the walkway to Shelly Beach is casual, complete with beach chic interiors, though this version appears to be aiming to offer a more sophisticated experience. All well and good, but today was not great for service. The person at the bar was so agressively disinterested that it was vaguely embarrassing... I wasn’t quite sure why he was there. He took my order, but barely, and there was zero interest in friendly chat, add-on orders or just generally improving our experience. At this point, I was moved to (involuntarily) utter 'Wow" out loud, mainly out of sheer incredulity. It was such a negative beginning that I canned our plans for lunch and had a quick coffee instead. It also made me feel compelled to write this review because there are tonnes more options in Manly where the service will far exceed this and potential punters should take this into account. The uninterrupted water views may not be as amazing in Manly central but, personally, I’d rather spend my dollars somewhere I feel welcome.

Service fast but found the prices very high and meals small. Over $40 for small scrambled eggs on burnt toast and a fruit plater. With a coffee and a tea. Should have kept walking and gone to boathouse.

Coffee was good, service good, and the view is great on a sunny morning ... but this is next to Millionaires Row so I guess that is how they justify $20 for scrambled eggs on toast ... ouch. Almond croissant looked popular so we tried that too ... it was big but dry (day old perhaps?).

The view is awesome... the venue calming and relaxed. We were a table of 4... food quality was good but a little small for price charged... I suppose that with limited seating and expenses one needs to have a low food cost to allow for profit to cover the operational costs. The menu is limited with choices however the selection of sides allows you to build your own breakfast dish but again small portions. They must make the toast in advance because it came out cold... again a reflection of the kitchen facilities and it's ability to service the menu. Would I go back again? Yes!! The view awesome and food 7/10..

Excelent food with stunning views to Shelly Beach. Really worth it. So why not 5 stars then? Answer: no table service. Annoying that every time you want another drink or more food you need to walk to the counter, stay in line and pay. Personally, I think this ruins the experience a little bit. In a place like this, all I want is someone serving me while I enjoy and watch life go by.

This is a great spot for a nice coffee and a classic Sunday session of people watching. Granted it's on the corner of an extremely busy part of Manly and often gets busy both eat in and takeaway, but still worth noting the humble yet impressive coffee. The scenes on a nice sunny weekend with people sunbaking on the rocks and tourists strolling paths leaves you thinking you are miles away from Sydney. The cafe does get busy but you are there for the coffee, food and views and not wait staff. While we enjoyed our coffee we noticed all the lunch dishes looked amazing and will now be stopping more often for coffee with next visit being for lunch. Definitely worth a try

Great view and location.Previously ate here. Loved it then. Seemed to be different now. Maybe it was my choice. I had Chicken Banh Mi which was average. But saw a very good looking fish and chips and a salmon plate. They looked very nice.

Hands down, best coffee in Manly. The staff and owners are extremely pleasant, food is always visually appealing and tastes great. Not sure why or how people discounted the service. I have never had a bad experience. This place is definitely a hidden gem and worth paying a visit to.
