Lovely location sitting outside looking over the beautiful green paddocks, chickens wandering past. seafood platter was delicious & generous! all the meals including the desert's were great, our young male waiter outshone all the floor staff ,only thing was we gave up on our coffee's & just went & paid the bill. Sorry but the girls on the floor seemed swamped.Enjoyable evening none the less.

I think the views and service were lovely, but food needs improvement in terms of seasoning. I ordered the new york striploin in medium rare, I think the doneness I asked for was alright but it's bland. It included duck fat potatoes but it tasted just normal unseasoned potatoes. My friends loved their crispy barramundi dish though but the ones who ordered squid ink linguine and risotto said the same about under seasoning.

This was a great little find. Food and service was excellent. Only criticism put the aircon on when it's a hot day we left because it was just too hot in there - I'm guessing it's because one table is positioned right under the aircon and diners probably asked them to turn it off at the expense of everyone else. Other than that highly recommend.

Just had dinner here tonight. I had the lemon herb chicken, hubby had Seafood platter for two and shared with our son. Our youngest had the crumbed squid chips and salad. The food was excellent and we left nothing behind on our plates.
The owners are gracious people. Very welcoming and friendly esp with our two boys!. Highly recommend this place.

Overall we had pleasant evening. The dishes were mostly very nice with the entree duck breast a standout.
However the risotto was very disappointing. The rice was soft and mushy, definitely not rich, creamy texture, with each individual grain of rice standing out clearly and having a hint of a bite. It would seem the moulded half sphere of rice had been long before prepared and then microwaved on order. The surrounding prawns were well cooked however were at room temperature and so not freshly cooked. This dish is not risotto.
The service was effective in so far that we were attended politely and promptly on arrival and taking our orders. No one checked with us at any stage to see if we needed anything else, which we had several occasions to need to do so for ordering drinks and to request cutlery that was missing. Hailing down staff took some effort as eye contact was difficult. Also empty glasses and bottles were left at our table for the entire dinner. Overall the service resembles that of a standard reception not a restaurant.

We eat out probably way to much but we love fine food. On a recent break we stayed locally and turned up at The butter factory without a reservation. They were booked out but the chef popped out had a chat and wow we had a table. The young girls who served us were working hard to keep all of the diners comfortable and the chef certainly serviced us a great 3 course meal. We even grabbed a takeaway cheese platter to eat back at the Silo. The prices are about half of what we would expect for similar quality food in Sydney, honestly the food was fresh and tasty. If this restaurant was in Sydney I would certainly be adding it to our regular eating lists, in saying that we will certainly be back next time we are in the shoalhaven area.

These guys squeezed us in last minute on a fairly busy weekend and we had a fabulous time, food and venue was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to bringing some friends out next time :)

Busy mid week during school holidays. Delicious fresh seafood platter $58 for two people. Great value. Smoked duck breast was divine; wish the meat was sliced thicker. Friendly hospitality even though they were super busy.

Very accommodating, food is very good, the setting is outstanding and reasonably priced. Covid has affected them staff wise and with new staff being trained service needs to improve and it no doubt will. I think a little patience on the front and it provides a lovely dining experience. We will 100% be back and looking forward to it.

We pre booked online dinner for Valentine's day. When we turned up we found it was a 'fixed' menu. Not stated when we booked & not stated when we received confirmation email. Shown to table where both chairs were 'wobbly' (which staff would have known beforehand). Shown to another table thankfully. Dinner was lovely, but can't see how they justify prices & also the Service Charge?? Not much variety if you want to purchase a glass of wine. I just read another review where someone stated meals were from $25 & generous serving of wine? Would not go there again.
D. B.
Great easy booking a table on the phone. Great reception and table seating, excellent staff helping with selection from the menu. No waiting for meals and food was excellent. Would recommend the butter factory restaurant for reaxing meal.

We just had a fantastic meal at the Butterfactory restaurant.
Maria is a wonderful host who talked us through the menu and was very friendly and helpful.
This was our second time eating here after having a great experience one year ago. Sometimes visiting a restaurant a second time can be disappointing but not here. It was just as good if not better than last time.
All of the food we ate was delicious.
The home baked bread was soft and warm straight out of the oven. The seafood platters were sensational. Very generous sizes and a great assortment of tasty seafood. We barely had room left but we managed to squeeze some dessert in too.
If you are ever around Pyree I highly recommend you visit the Butterfactory. Even if you are not it's definitely worth the drive.

We had our wedding at the Butter Factory back in November and it was amazing. Maria and Andrew went above and beyond to make it perfect. Always happy to answer my (many) emails. The atmosphere and design of the building suited me and my husband perfectly. And the food was AMAZING! Highly recommend. perfect spot for a wedding, or for just fish and chips as lunch (which i have also had many times- always cooked perfectly). One of my favourite places for lunch :)
F. B.
Had a great lunch with the family for a birthday celebration. Great service, we had the seafood platter which was very good and great value for money. All other dishes were very nice. Highly recommend 👌

Today we stumbled upon The butter factory. I’d say this a solid 3.5. It had lovely aspect with a beautiful garden to welcome you in. Everything was nice but just missed a little warmth in our greetings with the staff. Maybe they’d come out of a rushed lunch so I would not let this hold you back from trying out this quaint little place. Food was lovely. The juniper duck was delice.

Whenever we make the trek from Sydney to Berry and the Southern Highlands, we look forward to visiting The Butter Factory. While the building has a rustic and rural ambience, the food follows suit with generous, well-prepared servings (though they weren't as nicely hot as our previous visit). Everything was packed with flavour: the truffled Mushroom Risotto, the delicious Steak with Café de Paris butter, the fantastic smoked Lamb Rump, and the delectable Sticky Date Pudding. Wine list is plentiful and very affordable. And the service from everyone was charming as always. See you again soon!

Fine dining with a farm view. Very relaxing place and good value $25 a main and a generous portion wine. And battered fish was yummy. But the hidden gem of the dish was the homemade dipping sauce with fish roe and herbs. The entree smoked duck had a complexed flavour with vinegared onion. Finish with a penna cotta. I Really like the topping, apart from normal fruit puree, also added plain pop corn (very fine, gives additional flavour) and crumbled caramel shards... very inspired dishes... Really like the place. Drove passed the area and didnt plan and made my day... also very good service

Good restaurant at a beautiful location. Staff were attentive and friendly. The menu was inviting with some great dishes to choose from.
If there is one let-down, then it would be the ambience of the large dining area. It could do with light-dimmers for the ceiling lights, and the tables were bare and could use some tealights and a small plant or flowers. It felt much like a brighly lit retirement home.
C. L.
Great place. Beautiful scenery and the pork belly and steak we had were wonderful. Price is reasonable. Go here for the ambience.
M. P.
A lucky find as we drove past it and it intrigued us. So lucky we stopped. The farm-like setting is magical, the staff and owners so lovely. Then there is the food: hearty, not fussy, super tasty and so fresh. Great value for money and exceptional prices for wine by the glass or bottle. We started with the delicious Pork Ravioli, so good. I then had the striploin, perfectly cooked medium as I requested with duck fat kipfler potatoes and green vegetables, loved it. My partner had the snapper fish with one of the best homemade tartar sauce I have ever tasted, great chips as well. Finally desserts and coffee and again all fantastic. We can not wait to go back even though it's over 2 hours drive from home.

Came here for the mother-in-laws birthday lunch…
Nothing short of phenomenal! Service was very family like, menu was very precise with just the right amount of great options, food was spectacular!
HIGHLY recommend this place!!! Narelle and iszy’s service was superb!
S. F.
Went with a large group for an anniversary dinner and the service was great and the food was delicious and came out pretty quickly. Couldn’t fault any of it

My wife and I visited this lovely Restaurant for a birthday celebration Meal. We loved the ambience vibe and lighting of the restaurant, the young ladies who served us had great smiles and were able to hold great conversations with us we felt very relaxed in that setting.I had New york Striploin ( so juicy to eat)and my Wife had succulent Crispy Skinned Barramundi fillet,(she said the best ever)washed down with a glass or two of wine, then followed up with desserts,it made for a great celebration meal, we will return when passing that way again. We also met Maria one of the owners a lovely young women, thanks guys for a great memory.. Ted & Brenda.

Lovely place, foods amazing. The head waitress was a bit of a Karen though sort of spoiled the mood.
J. B.
Food was very good.
Setting was beautiful.
And they take NSW dining vouchers too.
M. R.
Exellent place for dinner!
Food was delissh. Service and staff great.
Surrounds ideal. Cows gracing outside, chooks looking for food happily outside windows. Had the scallops and squid ink, linguini melted in your mouth, thanks to cook!
B. B.
Great staff. Beautiful food. Nice location and well priced.
Had a graduation dinner there and it was perfect.
Would highly recommend.
L. W.
Sat in the lovely outdoor garden area to take in the views of the surrounding farm and mountains. Food was delicious. Scallops for entree, and pork belly & squid ink linguini for mains.
A. T.
Loved the ambience, the staff was helpful. We were 14 of us 3 families, 6 kids...we had lunch - fish of the day and steak are worth it's recommendations...
T. T.
My wife and I love this gem of a place.
We are slightly biased as we got married here a many moons ago but this place holds a very special place in our hearts.
We always pop in when we can get away from the fast paced Sydney life, the kids and can let our hir down a bit to reminisce about our special day there.
You would be hard pressed to find incredible owners who love what they do and love sharing it with the world.
We'll be back soon enough for another helping!
T. C.
Super nice restaurant. Food is superb, service can improve as we had few mistakes with the deserts and the coffees.
M. L.
Simply Delicious and friendly staff, very happy and enjoyable experience.
N. C.
Service was fast and friendly. Maria was an attentive host 😃
Food was delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Large selection of wine, matched well to the food options.
Very enjoyable experience. Will definitely return next time we're in the area
T.
Delicious food at a cute and scenic setting. Servers were lovely.
R. R.
Amazing location and ambience, beautiful restaurant, fantastic front of house staff. Food was a little lacking, meat was overcooked and needed seasoning.
A. F.
We returned to the Butter Factory over the recent long weekend with 2 other couples. The service and our meals combined for a great afternoon with friends. Maria & (charming) son William delivered a combination of great options, the Pork Ravioli and Duck Breast (entrees) and the New York Cut Striploin (main) were standouts. Reasonably priced, great vista and beautiful old building.
M. K.
Excellent food and a magnificent property... the waitress was a bit cheeky but excellent besides
R. C.
Beautiful food...enjoyed everything. Smoked Lamb is perfection
B. D.
The takeaway food we had was excellent! Very tasty and lovely service from the ladies there. Highly recommended - support your local businesses in these tough times
C. F.
We were delighted we booked this restaurant. From the driveway to the last sip of wine we had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is in an old farm style building, with views of the mountains, chickens running about the place and quirky furniture, which results in the overall atmosphere being 10/10. We had a mix of starters and mains and thought everything was delicious bar the steak was a bit tough and not cooked as requested. The employees went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable time and I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.
M. K.
Came for dinner because we read such great reviews about it. Alas that wasn't our experience. Started off with pretty poor service. We sat unattended for around 15 minutes, finally got a waitress' attention only to be told that our assigned waitress was busy and would be with us shortly. We didn't even have water at this stage! When we were served, the service was lacking warmth.
Food was only so so too. Nothing outstanding. Was surprised that the risotto was compacted into a Dariole mould so it was of course stodgy. The pork belly skin was also chewy the knife could barely handle it (granted it wasn't advertised as crispy).
Really wanted to love it but it was a disappointment, at least for us.
U. R.
Due to covid, it's take away only. There was a little hic up with the order, but all sorted quickly. Who cares about the hic up, the food was amazing.
Best risotto I've ever had!
Do yourself a favour and order the most amazing take away!
D. P.
Xmas in July was a huge success, staff were first class and the meals were amazing with large portions cooked to perfection. What a great way to spend an evening, will definitely be returning soon😊
K. H.
Wonderful views from the venue, wonderful service, but the food was a bit bland/basic (see photo of 'warmed sourdough's which was toasted with black corners) although the sauces were great!
A. H.
Great local casual dining in a nice setting. Always enjoy it here with the family. Glassware is a little rsl like but a decent wine selection. Some of the best kids meals around. Staff are always friendly. We left a tip via card which staff said they wouldn't get it unless it was cash which was a shame.
B. S.
Awesome gem but booking is essential. Good food, great atmosphere and nice, attentive staff.
N. B.
We keep trying this place every few months in the hope it has improved, as it should be a fabulous experience given the setting. The deserts were great, but my main not so. I had the vegetable lasagne and it looked like it had seen better days with plenty of pasta but hardly any veg in sight. The service was 'ok' more cafe style than country restaurant. There's no warmth, as other reviews have suggested and it felt forced. We weren't a late booking, we sat down at 6.30pm, but we were stared at across the room after desert - I'm guessing as an attempt to show us it was time to leave. It was a long busy day and staff were tired, we get it, but come over and chat to us rather than trying to make us feel uncomfortable. I guess we'll try again in a few months :-)
M. C.
A hidden gem! This would easily be the best place to eat in Nowra. Upmarket, and great country ambiance with an English touch about it. Wonderful food and great service! Very friendly staff. What a discovery! We drove all the way from Sussex Inlet and was worth it. We were shown the pink sunset over the farm fields. Thanks for the hospitality.
E. C.
We had four courses. The food tasted amazing. My only criticism of the food was that I didn't get as much smoked duck as I expected, but aside from that, top quality. Service and food. I recommend this place.
Two dishes for entrees (scallops, smoked duck), two dishes for mains (NY strip steak, squid ink linguine), a cheese plate to share then a very nice thing for dessert whose name I can't remember but it was delicious. The wine list was pretty good, I'm no expert but we drank a bottle of Gieser The Fuder Dillons Point SB 2013.
The service was professional, the food arrived in a timely manner. The wait and kitchen staff were so good.
J. A.
Visited again for Friday lunch. There hadn’t been any substantial changes to the menu since last visit but that wasn’t an issue as the food was even better this visit. Maria is a great host and the service is friendly but no fuss. Love visiting this place with good company and a bit of time- easy, leisurely lunch, great food, decent booze selection and great value.
——
We had the perfect Sunday lunch at The Butter Factory. A cloudy day turned sunny so we thought we’d go to lunch, it seems everyone thought that was a good idea and it was quite busy. Sitting out the in the sun the ambience was perfect. Service was friendly, warm and good humoured. Maria and the team took good care of us.
Scallops and the pork ravioli entrees were spot on- ravioli broth was particularly yum. Duck and pork belly for mains were balanced and moreish. Lemon curd pannacotta finished us off nicely.
Really good value given the quality and experience. Looking forward to going back
M. S.
Modern Australian dining. Watching the quirky view of the cows. Yummy food. It's busy so you need to book.

I took my parents to The Butter Factory tonight for my Mum’s 75th birthday.
I supplied a birthday cake and a vase of flowers.
On arrival, the table was set with the flowers as a centrepiece as asked.
The waitresses were absolutely amazing- friendly, happy, patient, and efficient.
The food was outstanding!
They finished our night with 4 waitresses presenting the birthday cake, all singing happy birthday.
We had a great laugh, amazing food and an all round very special and memorable occasion.
I can not thank the staff enough for their above and beyond effort. You made my Mum’s 75th birthday an event she will alway cherish.
Thank you all so much again and we certainly will be back.
K. L.
We visited this place last weekend with some old friends for lunch. We chose their offer of a meal and a glass of wine for $25.00. Now the restaurant was overlooking a grazing pasture with awesome mountains rising on the horizon. Scenic beyond scenic! The staff were friendly and attentive bringing the wine quickly as we wished. The food when it arrived was everything we hoped it to be. All in all a great place to visit. We'll definitely come again.
G. C.
Had an 80th birthday celebration at this lovely restaurant. The ambience of the place was lovely and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals were delicious. We all had a lovely time and would highly recommend it.
P. C.
Food was fantastic and a nice varied selection to choose from. Welcoming and a relaxed atmosphere. Would go again just to eat it all again. Thank you
S. D.
My husband and I had lunch today at Butter Factory. His seafood was great my chicken was dry and not very tasty. The staff were fantastic friendly and welcoming. 10 for the staff, 9 for the seafood, 5 for the chicken.
L. N.
A nice place to visit South of Nowra. Very picturesque with working farms all around, a small little garden out the back and an open fire burning somewhere nearby that left the smell of smoke.
We visited for lunch and the food was fantastic. We ordered squid ink linguine and pork belly. The table service could have been a little better but overall it was a very nice time.
K. S.
Great food, nice service and a really great little find on the south coast.
c. m.
Amazing! Great food, friendly staff and absolutely beautiful views.
I. B.
Great food and reasonable prices. Lovely view. A bit noisy.
M. C.
Our accomodation people recommended The Butter Factory Restaurant for dinner. It is a delightful place on a farm with chickens outside (they were popular in photos). The food was amazing and very fresh and well priced.
Looking forward to dining there again soon.
S. O.
The food was extremely yum. We had the pork belly and duck which were both fresh and melt in your mouth. The bread and sides were good too. We ordered local wine which was excellent. I don't kkow what the bad reviews below are on about we had a great time.
J. N.
Maria and Master William were the perfect hosts when we visited for dinner. The seafood platter is a must try, and the ambience and hospitality was exceptional! If you're in the area do stop by!
N. L.
Awesome place, even with a last minute big group booking, Maria and her staff were very accomodating and very lovely. Service 5star quality and with a smile. And the food was absolutely amazing!!! Definitely recommend stopping @ The Butter Factory for lunch or dinner
G. E.
We just had dinner in this great restruant for the first time. The food was excellent value and very yummy! Maria made us feel very welcome and the atmosphere and decor all worked brilliantly. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it.
M. J.
Lovely place, beautiful views. The folks there took great care of us.
D. K.
For the location of good food and prices. Would recommend going there for a nice day in the country side and lunch.
Was told a reservation is recommended of Friday nights and Saturdays, and probably call ahead incase they are booked for an event

Definitely recommend this place! We went to jervis bay for the weekend for valentines day and couldn’t find any local restaurants that we wanted to go to that was open on a Sunday, so we headed to the butter factory.
It took us 30mins to get there but we absolutely loved it! If you are ever in jervis bay definitely check them out! There portion are a good size and taste is amazing! Definitely recommend the gnoochi! the flavours were amazing!
The staff were amazing! We definitely would recommend anyone near by the area or is heading down that way to pop by the butter factory! Cannot recommend enough!
K. L.
This is a beautiful restaurant, nice and friendly staff members.
We ordered
Seared Scallops ❤
Seafood Tasting Plate❤
Squid Ink Linguine❤
Butter Factory Chips
Almond Tart❤
All dishes are lovely and yummy.
If the chips can have some home made special sauce to dip with or add some special flavour on it will be much more fit the name and more special.
We enjoyed the night here. Will visit again in the future.
J. L.
Service was quick, despite a busy night and 9 of us. Chicken was delicious, tender and portion sizes good. Staff warmed up after initially appearing overwhelmed. Took outside photos for our group which was nice. Could be a bit cleaner, spider webs all over the windows. Nice view outside.
A. M.
Walking in, this restaurant feels a bit special compared to other places in the area.
The food was good quality produce and tasted great. Service okay. They seemed to give off a little attitude when we didn't order dessert.
K. M.
Made for tourists. Beautiful setting and menu (on paper). Food overrated. Ordered an entree and out of 7 ingredients 2 were actually those I ordered, the rest was made up as they’d obviously runout and tried to pass it over without saying anything - cheeky and not cool esp at the prices charged.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
r. s.
Nice location , food quite nice not great for the prices. Service wasn't very good , the best waiter was a young boy of about 10? We asked the older waitress for salt it never came we asked the young boy and he got it straight away. This also happened with another request too , we orded our wine 15 mins before the food it arrived 10mins after our food. Wouldn't go back.
K. H.
we just tried the new takeaway menu - amazing! fish amd chips and mushroom leek feta tart was excellent and the meal kept very well until we got home. very very affordable also - worth the trip.
excellent hygiene measures also - foaming alcohol hand cleaner at the door amd only one person in the pick up area at a time. plenty of parking and space outside. well done Butter Factory. ***** stars!
E. D.
Fantastic to find a place that caters so well to children. Staff were great with the kids. Menu, food and location are great. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
L. O.
AMAZING. Went to Culburra Beach for a holiday with friends and drove passed this adorable fairy light filled restaurant. Absolutely adorable, beyond aesthetically pleasing, would recommend for a country wedding!
The food was AMAZING. The best meal I’ve EVER eaten. Super GF, began and vegetarian friendly too!
Service was awesome, a 9yo boy also checked on us to ensure our meals were good and if we needed anything, his customer service was just as good (if not better) as any of the adults.
The scallops were cooked to perfection, the flavour was out of this world. I ordered the slow cooked pork belly for the main, it could not have tasted better. Even all the extras surrounding the pork belly were amazing on their own.
Could not recommend this place more, great experience!
Y. S.
Nice and quiet in lunch time😊 Service from memory was pretty good.
T. A.
Thoroughly enjoyed end of school year luncheon.Sevice and food were amazing
P. &. P. R. (.
Went for Christmas in July. Food was OK but the beef was very tough and almost inedible. Pity, it rather spoiled the rest of the experience
L. K.
This restaurant has a lovely setting and a great view, but our experience was very mixed. In the good side, my husband ordered the confit duck leg and it was pretty delicious (aside from the accompanying onion tart being burnt). The wine by the glass was also great value. I ordered the roasted vegetable lasagne... and that’s where things went a bit downhill. It was $26 (totally reasonable)... but when it arrived it measured about 4cm x 7cm. A tiny portion. Sadly it was dry and it was hard to tell what roasted veg was actually even in it. We didn’t asked for anything off the bill, but when we requested the waitress to pass this feedback along to the kitchen she said ‘That dish is a bit hit and miss, depending on who’s cooking it that day. They all have their own variations to the recipe. It’s certainly not one of my favourites’. What a strange thing to say. Wanted to like this place, but left disappointed. Won’t be back. Also, could hear a pin drop in there - play some music!
A. M.
My wife and I went here today for her birthday. Food and service fantastic, as was the fab old building and great view across the fields. Real family affair that made you feel very welcome. Also during these crazy times felt very safe. We will be back I am certain
K. D.
Great Food, Great Service and Great Value. We came with a group of 9 including children and the staff were so accommodating. The grilled snapper was amazing, the gnocchi exceptional and the kids food menu was extensive and tasty. Really enjoyed it, will be coming back.
M. F.
Had a fantastic night out for our work Christmas party. Food was delicious (especially the squid ink linguine and the dessert of the day which was a lemon tart). Service was amazing as usual, especially by Maria who's service is so bubbly and welcoming.
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant - its elegant yet still warm & cozy.
P. S.
A fantastic lunch of fresh seafood overlooking farmlands and mountains. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Will be going again.
J. A.
Lovley staff and food. Portions were great, Food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it to come out. Staff were very friendly.
R. B.
A lovely quaint restaurant. Front of house was a little lacking upon arrival, but we were seated after a little delay. Food was well portioned and well seasoned.... quite enjoyed the whole meal, specifically the lamb dishes were delicious. Wine selection also very good and reasonabley priced. In general good prices were very fair and good value, and food came out quite quickly.
Two cons for me were just that the bathrooms need some updating, and the menus could do with a bit of a modern/sophisticated facelift/reprint befitting the establishment.
F. G.
Absolutely delightful meal... food sensational,, top class. The owner Maria chatted to us at the end of the evening about the history of the place, her family connection, her goals for the restaurant. We will definately be returning for more and more experiences here!
K. D.
We waited for over 1.5 hours for our lunch today. I ordered the salt and pepper squid. I found the calamari rings to be all batter (tasty) and very little squid....about a 1/3 of the thickness of a usual piece of calamari. The salad was nice
C. M.
One of my absolute favourite places to eat. My family and I eat there everytime we visit the area. Staff are lovely and food is absolutely divine. Very well priced.
C. L.
I've had consistently wonderful meals at The Butter Factory. Maria, Andrew and their team are fantastic. Welcoming and happy to provide local knowledge on seasonal produce and menu selections. Their seafood platter is generous and I really loved their Braised Pork Ravioli. Full of flavour!
E. N.
AMAZING!!
I always enjoy coming here. One of my favorite places to go out for dinner. The food quality has always excellent and so is the service! Maria (the owner) is ALWAYS so welcoming and provides great service! The location is so beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
I remember coming here for a school formal years ago and it was such a great place to have it. Always have had great memories here! Will continue to keep supporting this great business.
A. B.
Fish and chips on good friday was delicious. Service was great and very friendly.
L. M.
I went here in March with my family from the Netherlands (right before the travel ban) and we all LOVED the food. The service was great, super friendly staff, and the place is in a lovely location. Hope to go back soon!
L. F.
My wife thought this was very nice, she really liked it. Quaint decor and delicious food. Ordered steak and breads. All great. A special place to have a celebration dinner. Good service initially but were ignored later. Just went home for coffee.
K. S.
5 star all the way! Location, venue, staff and food! Loved the space of the restaurant - no being crammed together, great decor & so much history! The owners have done a magnificent job in making it welcoming & warm! My food was delicious & I highly recommend you trying it.

Got takeaway tonight and will say was very impressed.thanks guys for a great dinner.you never disappoint.keep up the good work.
R. S.
A nice cosey restaurant with a romantic decor. The cute fairy lights and furnishings are perfect for a intimate barn style wedding.
The presentation of the food was well matched with the quality offering a nice selection of choices, and a very nice sunday night special.
Hopefully they offer take away during these times. A nice place- God bless

Couldn't have had a better experience! We went for dinner on 29 Jan, food was amazing, staff were great, building itself was amazing. Thanks for the great night team!!!

It was only 6 months ago that i had the pleasure of being married at The Butter Factory. Tonight we celebrated again. Not only is the venue stunning and the food second to none, but the owners (Maria and Andrew) are the most incredible people. For anyone considering the venue for a function or simply lunch or dinner out, my family and I could not recommend them more highly!!!
A. M.
One of the best restaurants in the area. The food was delicious. Generous serves. The restaurant itself is very special. We did not have to wait long at all for the food. Everything worked perfectly for us. It was our wedding anniversary and it was a night to remember.
I am very critical with food. I do not understand the unhappy reviews. Maybe they changed the cook. I have to say THANK YOU. We loved the place and food. Yes this is a place that we recommend and we will be coming back.
A. K.
Absolutely wonderful meal! The food is to die for, and the staff are amazing. To top it off, the location and ambiance is absolutely fantastic. It's our favourite place to go for dinner.
M. M.
Great food. Great location. Excellent views across green pastures. Best Sunday lunch for a long time
s. G.
Outstanding service, value for money. We enjoyed the seafood platters. Andrew and Maria are great hosts. Peaceful dairy country views. Never disappoint.
K. W.
We had our staff Christmas party at The Butterfactory tonight. We were greeted warmly, seated quickly and our drinks arrived without delay. The food was delicious... great soft shell crab entrée... and each course came out at pleasant intervals. Excellent service, beautiful setting, happy customers! Thanks for a great night!
M. B.
Beautiful grounds & building, scrumptious food & lovely service
E. M.
Quality food for reasonable prices. It is up market but not outlandish. Wine prices range from $27-70 a bottle. Mains average $32. Great setting. A good night all round.
M. M.
Food was great, some staff are less experienced but will be fantastic with some guidance. Great outlook over dairy paddocks, plenty of chickens roaming around. Good bit of space for kids to run around.
D. S.
Loved it - beautiful restaurant and great location. The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive and accommodating.
R. A.
Delicious food and nice place :)
J. S.
Great food!!! Service friendly and attentive
T. B.
We had the joy of dining at the Butterfactory on Thursday night. We were after a unique setting and great food and we weren’t disappointed. Maria was such a lovely host and it shows that she is truely passionate about her restaurant. I would highly recommend the Butterfactory for a unique location and great food. Take some time beforehand or between courses to wander the grounds.
I was curious about this place after seeing a string of 1 star reviews about two months ago, all from the same party. I like to make my own mind up about a dining experiece, and to me it was clear that those people were uneducated and underserving of dining at the butterfactory. I think they would be best suited to sticking with Hungry Jacks. For the rest of us the Butterfactory is a great experience.

WOW what a lovely find for a Sunday lunch, the restaurant took me back to a place in Italy years ago, beautiful seafood platter, glass of riesling or two, staff were lovely, kids & their dogs running around with the owners chooks in the vege garden 🪴 🎃 🍅
J. S.
We had the Butterfactory come to our property and do the catering for our wedding reception. All the staff were fantastic and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. The food was presented beautifully, tasted absolutely delicious and there was more than enough for all of the guests.
Thank you so much to Brittany and the butterfactory staff for such a wonderful night.
D. S.
Great food and service. Wonderful view of Coolangatta Mountain, especially on a winter day lunch. Seafood platter for 2 was frst class cuisine.
D. P.
The pizza was amazing with a side of taco and a lovely strawberry thick shake for dessert, staff wasn't the best but it's about the food isn't it? would recommend!
H. V.
Excellent food and service. Great friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
R. K.
Nice ambience, very friendly waiter

Lovely location, excellent lunch menu. We enjoyed seafood platter, belly pork, squid ink linguini and then had delicious desserts. Service was very good with friendly staff.
I.
Absoulty amazing. I would recommend going here now. Everything is so quite during this bush fire season.
A. F.
SOUTH COAST, get back there!
The recent fires on the South Coast of NSW have had effects on many levels, from the tragedies of personal and property loss to the ongoing issue of a “charred” tourism economy.
We visited nearby Greenwell Point and opted for lunch at the Butter Factory, like many that visit the area we should do it more. Sitting in the 19th century building with a vista of dairy farms to the north is a special setting.
Good food showcasing local produce at a reasonable price makes for a good stop.
We opted on sharing the Seafood Platter with some bread made on site, it was great.
This is one of the quality eateries that the Shoalhaven area has, they’ll all need our ongoing support coming out of this disaster.
B. B.
Really cosy atmosphere, slow combustion wood fire burning, terrific decor, excellent meal selection wonderfully cooked and presented. Good beer, wine and spirits selection.
M. T.
Andrew and Maria run a beautiful restaurant, in the heart of the Shoalhavens dairy region. They did an amazing job catering for our work Christmas party of about 50 people
The Butter Factory is definitely a staple on our eating out calendar.
S. K.
Came here for our wedding anniversary and it is a beautiful instagram worthy venue. The service was outstanding and fast. The garlic butter bread and peanut brittle desert was amazing. Is definately worth a stop if you are in the area. We will be back :)
M. L.
Lovely lunch out in a truly country atmosphere. Couldn’t believe how full it was for a Wednesday lunch. Stayed for ages and no one pushed us to move on.
J. D. P.
Great Little Surprise Restaurant On Our Visit To The Area, That's Well Worth A Visit.
Food Was Great And The Service Was Fast (maybe too quick, if there is such a thing haha)
P. A.
Nice rural vistas, comfortable surrounds, lovely food. A little rushed through service & a little more attention from staff & it would have been 5 stars

This regional gem gives Sydney restaurants a run for their money. Have been here 2 years running as a birthday treat, food is a gastronomic gift, and the service is impeccable. Squid Ink Linguine is a must try.
M. B.
Always a warm welcome & friendly staff, food is very well presented & great mix of flavours, have never had a bad meal here, looking forward to the next visit already!
T. K.
Great food! Maria takes feedback very seriously and had not failed to impress. The lamb saddle and ginger and toffee tart were excellent.
A.
Busy place with wide variety of food. Waiting time is average. Booking is required though. The restaurant seems to be understaffed to cut expenses as they seem to stressed.
G. M.
Set in rhe character of the old butter factory carefully reappointed the food and drinks here are of excellent taste and quality. Friendly and helpful service adds to the pleasant restuarant set in a great location. A restuarant or celebration opportumity not to be missed.
