The location of the restaurant is very nice. If you can get an upstairs table, you get the ocean views. The staff here are friendly and provide very good service. Food served here are decent. Kids mocktail is very nice. Recommended.

It’s really great here. Fantastic views, our waitress was very friendly and nothing was a problem for her and the food was delicious. They were flexible with us bringing in a birthday cake for our celebration we had and organising plates and cutlery for that. Will definitely be back, great atmosphere and vibe. Highly recommend.

The favourite local! Can’t get better location, right on the beach. It’s relaxed drinking, bite, or sit down meal is it’s benefit - all occasions! Tasty food menu too and service with a smile!

Great dine and drink place. Went there for lunch with my office. Food was great, but food service was quite slow (we had to wait for a while). Love the view right to the beach. There is an open balcony area looking straight to the beach. Internal interior is also really good. The main issue is limited carpark hours (mostly 1 hour street parking, with maximum of 2 hours). There is a nice children playing area on ground foor.

Beautiful view and tasty food, although they could do with a more varied menu - very Pub Food like with little salad options. A bit pricey, but worth it for the atmosphere. Parking is tricky and expensive unless you can get street parking.

Fantastic venue and location. Great coffee and food. Really lovely staff. The Collaroy hosted our business networking meeting and there was also a mother's group there plus a few other groups. I think it is an ideal venue for these types of things.

Food at the kiosk is quite bland. The pizza had no flavour and the steak sandwich was extremely basic. I hear the restaurant upstairs is much better so I would try that out next time. Great thing about the ground floor is the kiddies corner for those with toddlers.

I head here for a meal every chance I get. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Had the fried chicken burger last time and I still dream of it regularly. Wine selection is awesome, and if you're driving they even have tasty non-alcoholic beers. Oh, and did I mention the views?

Same old Merivale nailing it again. Great Pizza and the burger was hektik. Great view and location right on the beach. Staff are always friendly and knowledgable. Healthy options also available. Of course it comes with the price to match but thats to be excepted at such a location. Great views to be had. This place will be great in the summer time.

Everything is first class about The Collaroy . There is plenty of parking so dont hesitate to drive but a bus from city also stops out the front. It has fabulous ocean and beach views. The food is well worth trying , I had a pizza which was superb ( but served 25 minutes late which was bizare ) and sydney rock oysters from Pambula which were fresh and flavoursome. Their wine list is excellent yet the house brand label of Felix house wines are award winning . The waitresses are gorgeous , friendly and helpfull . The Chefs know what they are doing and are highly professional. I have been visiting this Pub for 20 years and even more keen now the Hemmes Family run it. Also this place is not over priced , they are standard pub prices . But The Collaroy does have some teething problems and to just have an ice cold beer and chill out after a few hours on the beach in summer one will be better off going next door to The Club where there are less prams and kids.

Delicious food, amazing atmosphere and the drinks are yum! I would highly recommend the mozzarella sticks and the gamberi prawn pizza. The restaurant is very clean and the staff members are great. Our waiter was super friendly and very skilled. The best server ever! She was the tall girl with the warm blonde hair! It's a nice place to go for northern beaches locals or for people to visit from other locations!

A great little spot for lunch. The restaurant upstairs is slightly more formal than downstairs. The advantage with upstairs is you can book a table, whereas downstairs it’s first come first served. If you have kids then downstairs should be your default, so they can play and you can relax. Sitting downstairs gives you the option of eating off either upstairs/downstairs menus - so the best if both worlds. I opted for a salad, and it was delicious. Good range of drinks at the bar too.

Great spot for a weekend lunch. Booking in advance with COVID restrictions limiting capacity. As always with any Merivale venue the service, location and menu at second to none. Parking outside the venue is timed but easily accessible, the B line bus stops just outside. Well worth a visit!

Modern and welcoming place with sea views. We've had 3 burgers (1 meat, 1 chicken and 1 falafel) and carbonara pasta, all tasty and filling. That's a wonderful restaurant to chilling out after spending the day at the beach.

This place is what we’re missing in the area. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s like casual and sophisticated at the same time. It’s not pretentious but super nice. The food is super nice, but if you have allergies like gluten intolerance the menu is a bit restricted. I highly recommend their dinner menu for those week nights you’re too busy to cook.

Good relaxed atmosphere, the fit out complements the location, the food is in keeping. I'd rather be here than the (Newport) Arms - it's less "epic". Was back at the Collaroy again after a Covid enforced absence... and it's still a great place for an informal catch-up, and while the food is still good, the stand out this visit was the staff... wonderful, warm, friendly and accommodating. Great hospitality is more than a good wine list and good food... it starts & ends with the staff who make it happen... Well done guys & girls... you kick it out of the park!

The Collaroy is my favorite restaurant/pub in Collaroy. Easy to get by car or bus. Plenty of carpark. Wheelchair accesible entrance. Nice and friendly staff. Very good pizzas or yumi burgers. Upstairs you can have an awesome ocean view while having dinner. At the moment (2020) there is Salsa dance on Friday nights. Defenitely a great place to have a good time.

I had a catch up with my son at The Collaroy. We had planned to go to the movies but it was closed on that day. We crossed the road to The Collaroy and my son had a very enjoyable lunch (I had already eaten) and I picked at a bowl of warm olives. We both ordered affogato which was delicious. It turned into a very long and immensely enjoyable lunch.

She is so sweet, genuine and personable and has such a great attitude while she's working which is rare for people to have! Trendy cute place both upstairs and down which was very child friendly making the downstairs area great for families. We ordered upstairs but when it came to the actual food rather than being large and filling....the rigatoni i had ...like the place itself was cute and dainty. Be prepared to pay a lot of money for a serving size that might satisfy a 10 year old. I guess that is the Collaroys way of getting you to order entree and/or dessert.

Our food was so delicious, I had the Market fish of the day Barumundi it was first class, the favour of the basil pesto and butter lettuce was light, elegant and fragrant, I loved it so much!! The setup of the upstairs and downstairs areas is a bit confusing. Some food can only be ordered upstairs, some only downstairs. Some staff say they're happy to deliver between the levels, others say it can't be done. Who knows? We've been a few times now, and the food has always been pretty good (except for the meatballs, those were dry and crumbly.) The staff are always real friendly, and there's a great view!

Had a great afternoon function with a big family spanning a few generations and enjoyed the experience. Food covers the standards you would expect of a beach pub - I rate it for comfort and service, as well as location, but food and beverage probably won't amaze you. You won't go hungry or thirsty though! Nice little kids play area that is a bit different, and close to the collaroy beach public play area which is great for toddlers and primary schoolers. Enjoyable, comfortable, worth a visit.

If you haven't been here yet, you need to go. The renovations are beautiful and the menu is out of control delicious. Definitely order one of the salad options as they are just delicious. If you're being naughty the waffle fries are also incredible. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area or feel like checking out a beach side spot.

Come to The Collaroy for the amazing views looking up Collaroy and Narrabeen beaches, and the relaxed vibe. It's recently been refurbished with very cool decor inside, and looks fantastic. I've been there twice and the food was average - the burger was dry the first time and raw the second. Although the staff were friendly when you got their attention, it has been a bit hit and miss. I'd come here for a beer with friends on a summer's day, it's perfect for that.

Fantastic location, litterally on the beach. The Collaroy is a typical Australian Hotel providing food and drinks, good quality, good price. Staff is very nice usually! 1st floor is better as it offers more choice for food and offers stunning views on Collaroy beach until Narrabeen beach. The Kiosk at The Collaroy is sublime. Superb food choices. Delicious coffee and tea. Spectacular views. Sensational seating and decor settings. Comfortable, peaceful surroundings right on Collaroy beach. Delightful friendly staff, polite, fast service, attentive with very professional skills too. The atmosphere is set with the high roof, the long tables in the centre, rows of higher seating settings along the windows to take advantage of the glorious views. There are also.lounge chairs where a family with babies was settled for a lovely gathering. Wheelchair accessible through front entrance. Convenient parking. Easily accessed by public transport as well.

I don't get it. Burgers upstairs, not downstairs. Order upstairs get then take down. Drinking bar seems to be downstairs but only salad bowls. The new decor is pleasant but the lack of sound insulation makes downstairs extremely loud if the windows aren't open and it's over half full. Been twice thinking teething issues but still seems a bit chaotic. On the plus if you can get food it's bloody brilliant.

I would highly recommend the Vitality salad with prawns- possibly the best salad I've ever had in a restaurant! Since the latest renovation it has lost its local appeal. With concrete floors it can be so loud you can’t hear the person in front of you. The expensive prices don’t reflect the quality of the food and drinks. Collaroy is not Bondi. The best part of The Collaroy is it’s location and fantastic views.

Elements of Ye Olde Surfrock are missed; cranking dancefloor, the non temptation to purchase food (it wasnt great) alas change for thee better! Great interior fitout and quality (well overdue) full revamp (re-opened Dec 2014) of one of the landmark pubs on the Northern Beaches. Bar service is very good with fresh faced local employees. They operate the bistro as take-a-numberstand-and-we-bring-the-meal service which is always refreshing for a pub rather than one of those annoying buzzers than interupts in your midst of an important conversation surrounding the latest Star Wars Ep. 7 movie. Good selection of beers on tap and is an Aligned CUB pub. Had my first glass of Carlton Draught Tank Beer here and gosh it was a goodie! Also have PureBlond, some crafts (ugh) and Great Northern (The Cairns Midstrength which is quite watery, doesn't taste as good as 4XXXX - would rather have Carlton Mid overall) They cook a damn good steak for only a small kitchen, the arincini are awesom as are the sweet potato fries (poss best on the beaches?!) All in all a good package with views of the surf beach and plenty of parking in the immediate area. Family friendly as has a dedicated kids play area. Better crowd of citizen than the adjoining Collaroy Servicemans (RSL) Beach Club. 4* - good, multifaceted venue
