We stopped here on our way home from Byron and it was a cool little spot tucked away from the streets of Frederickton. Food was all excellent, service was great. Pricing was a little on the high side I believe but overall I definitely recommend stopping and checking it out!

Have visited on two occasions and food/ service was great. Beer glasses look more like wine glasses and are a bit of a tragedy as beer goes flat very quickly. Please please purchase better beer glasses.

Our daughter knew that she wanted a special 18th at the Garden Bar and Kitchen in Frederickton and she was not disappointed. The staff at the Garden Bar were very accomodating for our private function and a very special time was enjoyed by all. The food was magnificent and we had wonderful feed back from our guests. Food was really nice. Seating and atmosphere was beautiful. Wonderful service. One thing though is that I asked for a medium rare for my steak but It was way over cooked, like pretty much welldone. It was a good tasty tender steak though. And that was the same for my friends. So I'm not sure maybe it was just that night or a certain chef. Other than that I definitely will go back

The best chateaubriand I have ever had. Main courses from this chef are of a standard which cannot be found between Sydney and Brisbane. Great young couple as owner operators assisted by a more than capable chef, backed up by a very enthusiastic team of helpers. Well done keep it up.

We had a fantastic experience here. Right on the river, great vibe and food excellent. But by far, the best part of this place is Lucy. Lucy is the friendliest and most welcoming waitress I’ve ever come across. Lucy made us and our dog feel so comfortable and she has such a warm attitude. We had the same feeling from all the wait staff. We will come here every time we get the chance.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch by the river at the Garden Bar & Kitchen today. The service was friendly and attentive from our arrival to our departure. The timing of our drinks and meals was perfect and gave us time to enjoy the cool breeze on the verandah and take in the gorgeous scenery. Our meals were very delicious and we are keen to try other items on the menu next visit. As regular visitors to the region for work and pleasure we will be back for sure.

Stopped in with a large group of 18. The service was efficient, friendly and professional. Located on the banks of the Macleay river, the view was spectacular particularly with the sun going down. Orders were taken promptly and all the meals came out within a reasonable time and were delicious. I had an eye fillet for main and it was the best steak I have had in ages. They also had local produce including craft beers from the local "bucket brewery" which was a nice touch. Probably the best restaurant on the-north coast. I'll be back!

Stopped here for a brunch/lunch in the middle of a long drive.... food was lovely (We had the salads, fries and the veggie stack...my mum said they were the best sweet potato fries she's had. Also coffee was goooooood) and the view is too! Staff were friendly and accommodated us even though they technically hadn't started serving lunch yet.... Thank you! Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous spot! The service was friendly and the food and coffee was amazing! We shared the homemade hommus with pulled pork for entree. We had the gluten free option - the bread was delish, and the hommus and pork combo was so tasty. I had the paella and my husband had the karaage chicken burger. Both were so good - chicken was crunchy outside but juicy inside and the paella was perfect. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

From the Wine to the Cheese Platter to the Beef Sliders to the Arancini Balls and then desserts and cuppa's..all delicious and we didn't leave a crumb...and the great customer service from the very efficient and friendly staff. Frederickton now has a wonderful place to visit with family and friends to enjoy yummy food and a beautiful atmosphere.
