Comments of The Meat & Wine Co Circular Quay

Restaurant was very quiet , much quieter than during the lunch time hours when I have been previously. We ordered a couple of really nice cocktails before deciding on the entree tasting plate with the pork belly, bruschetta, calamari, and South African sausage, and pickled Spanish onions. Was just wonderful. We struggled to complete our mains of steak and skewered beef after having such a large entree but everything was Beautifully cooked to order. A must try when in the city.

Located At the intercontinental hotel. Rib eye was better than the new Yorker - the Mac and cheese was great!
R. P.
Exceptional good and service from the team. Highly recommend the Biltong and a glass of Glenmorangie Highland Single Malt - Sherry Cask Finish.
J. B.
The service was great especially by the guy who took our order and served us our meal. Didn’t get his name but so professional. Food and wine excellent.
My concern having been asked to prove we had checked in, customers were allowed to move about the restaurant not adhering to mandatory mask wearing and not being challenged. A bad example however was one of the serving staff not wearing his mask properly. I challenged him and his answer was he gets hot! Not good enough. We as customers adhered to the rules and would expect staff to do the same and challenge customers not adhering to rules. I do believe a manager challenged the staff member and his mask wearing improved but a few minutes later he lapsed once more until I challenged him.
Great experience spoiled by rules being broken.

Great steak restaurant hidden inside the hotel that is huge on flavour and quality. All the steaks are cooked to perfection and very tasty, while the sauces are punchy and the chips are crunchy. A nice night out with lots of wines to choose. Recommended!
B. C.
Great evening of good food n service.
Restaurant is in the front of Intercontinental Hotel.
Very warm n cosy seating.
Staff are attentive and courteous.

Nice atmosphere. Good service. Good Food.
We tried the Let's lunch set menu. It has a good variety for selection. I tried beef and my partner tried pork. If I am to return, I would definetely go for Pork ribs. Both dessets on the menu were pretty good too.

Where to begin! The garlic bread is like eating delicious little clouds, and the Tartare, while not my thing was also worth a try.
Both my fiancee and i had steaks which were cooked beautifully to our requested levels (medium for her, rare for myself), but the sides stole the show! The mash potato is a MUST try and the mac and cheese was exceptional!
All the cocktails were tasty and the Affogatos went down a treat along with the Creme brulee and fondant.
A must go for any special occasion (very pricey, but so worth it)

The Meat & Wine Co cooks up the best steak in town if you feel like a good steak. Great African inspired decor and atmosphere is very inviting with exceptional service.

Celebrated my daughter's birthday .great food atmosphere and decor . Tad disappointed that they forgot the sparklers with our desert as we planned to surprise my daughter. Even after a reminder was given to waitress they ignored our request
L. M.
This is my second time, different location however just as pleased with both locations. First visit was the darling harbour location. Only difference, I found the darling harbour location location to be more fancy.
Food was equally delicious and consistent across both locations!
Delicious cocktails as well!

A great restaurant with very high quality food, meat and dishes. The restaurant itself felt like a gentleman’s club, dark and mysterious but sophisticated.
We ordered the wagyu rump and it was delicious. We split it between us since it was so big, but having some sides with it was excellent.
Service was good and we would definitely come back here again!
E. P.
Had a lovely dinner, everything was great from the start to the end, especially the Wagyu rump that was perfectly cooked. I only wish they had more options for the dessert but the chocolate & hazelnut fondant was still delicious!
A. L.
Enjoyed the July 50% off Dimmi deal at this restaurant and it was definitely worth the money. Ambience was great - quiet, cozy and dim lighting which made it intimate and classy. Food was mostly excellent (may have just been a matter of personal taste) and the staff were friendly. They did forget my wine and almost charged me for a bottle rather than a glass but they were apologetic and professional about it. Loved it.
l.
Brilliant steak house, wide selection of meat cuts. With steak cooked to perfection.
Mac n Cheese is a must side.
Service was great, staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
Only downside was the men’s toilets, absolutely disgusting and some of the clientele dress code of shorts and runners bought the restaurant down from being high end.
D. T.
We had the lunchtime 3 course menu - the stake was devine as well as the beef tartar. When it comes to dessert, would recommend the pie rather than the cream brulé. Overall - had an excellent experience with great service and atmosphere, would go back without a doubt
M. A.
Took my husband here for his birthday as a suprise! The atmosphere was intimate and classy. The waiter was very professional and quick. Although the food was a bit pricey it was 5 star quality, fresh and full of flavour. We really in enjoyed our time there and would definitely be going back!
A. S.
We had a lovely time here! The steak was awesome and generously portioned, the ribs were delicious, the salad was fresh and flavorful, and the desert was to die for! The service was professional and friendly and the price was reasonable. A fantastic experience.
P. V.
Very good food, top quality. I felt a bit under dressed being a tourist. I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt. However, I was still able to get a table. Had the lunch special, 2 courses for $45. Had wagyu bruschetta tartare, and waygu rump steak. Also came with a glass of wine. Don't think you can get a better deal anywhere for $45, considering the quality of the food.
M. A.
Cracker beef ribs and ribeye steak. Service was slow... had to order a drink 3 times before it arrived and also got my steak without a sauce and side... had to wait longer for the sauce and side to come. But 5 stars because of the climate we are in and because the food was that darn tasty. Please please improve service.
P. M.
Great place for a nice dinner. The ambience is very nice and the service good. I had the wagyu tartare for starters which was excellent and very fresh. For main I chose the kangaroo skewer which was a bit over cooked although I asked for medium-rare, but tasted really nicely. With a glass of wine and dessert the total price was 75 AUD which is a good price for a quality meal. Recommended!

I’ve been to this Meat & Wine Co twice for a birthday bash and both parties booked the private dining room out the back where the bathrooms were.
I think the staff are very professional and patient when handling big groups and the food and drinks were never disappointing.
Also loved the sectioned off private glass dining rooms there as well.
A. R.
We went in this restaurant yesterday but discovered that all the tables were reserved yet, so we decided to book a reservation for the following day (today). Everything has been amazingly good! I advice the beef ribs and the mashed potatoes, really delicious. They grill the meat as no one else does. The only negative part is basically the bill. They charge 5 dollars per person for the Sundays reservations, just because it's Sunday. 👎
And a bottle of still water is 9 AUD, a bit expensive also compared to the other expensive restaurants.
So basically if you don't care too much to spend about 30% / 40% more for your dinner this will be the perfect place to visit. Oh.. The service is perfect!
A.
Probably one of the best places to have ribs and steak! Though, the place we sat hadn't had the nicest lighting. It was dark and dingy with nothing but an overly bright spotlight at the centre of the table.
Design fail, but otherwise the food was great. Also we didn't know about Sunday surcharges were a thing here, which was distasteful for such of a price we paid.
L. K.
Great steaks, good service and nice ambience.
H. D.
Hands down one of the best steaks i have eaten (if not the best)
Dined at this restaurant during lunch. The atmosphere and ambient were very warm and welcoming.
On to the food, i ordered wagyu tartare for entree, it was alright however too much dressing has made it very difficult to taste the actual wagyu.
The slight disappointment for the entree was quickly compensated by the two perfectly cooked steaks: the monte grain fed and wagyu ribeye 8+ (which is not stated in the menu, but i was offered by one of the staff)
Both steaks were perfectly cooked to medium rare and i must emphasise on the extraordinary taste of the Wagyu ribeye 8+. The fat marbles were so nicely distributed that i could now actually understand "the meat melts in your mouth" experience.
The overall experience was absolutely wonderful and despite the $89 price tag of the wagyu steak - it was worth every penny.
I. S.
Cannot recommend enough, food full of taste, fresh, and fast serving, burger was one of the best I've tasted in sudney.
They have lunch set menus which will be more convenient, some their meat is halal, just ask the waiter to check with chef which type is halal
B. H.
Great restaurant in the heart of Sydney.
Got a nice, dark yet modern interior design which gives it sort of a private atmosphere.
Great food menu, especially if you are into grilled meat.
This is a great place if you want to try out kangaroo for the first time.
Nice and very professional staff.
The prices are satisfied by the quality of the food.
O. P.
The Steak was cooked to perfection! The Beef Ribs were "fall off the bone" tender! The ambiance was wonderful and the service impeccable!
P. C.
The Meat and Wine Co in Circular Quay is really nice to go on a date with someone special or even a special date-night with with your partner. The meals are quite expensive but really tasty. My favourite Dish is the skewered salmon; it’s always cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We tend to go here for the Chocolate and Hazelnut Fondant which is beautiful HOWEVER on a recent visit to the restaurant they changed the fondant and it is totally different. Not as good as the original.

Very nice restaurant with a good value for money balance. Make sure you leave some space for desert. The food is of course of a very good quality but the location is also very cozy.
S. H.
Despite high expectations we found this steakhouse to be, well, boring. We made a reservation and the staff from beginning to end were very good without being exceptional. They seemed fake happy if that’s a thing, they just didn’t seem to want to be there. The food was very good with being amazing and given the other reviews I had really high expectations. The menu was really lacking in variety for a steakhouse it just didn’t have the depth of choice I was hoping for. My local pub has pretty much the same menu plus a bit more which really shouldn’t be the case when you call yourself a steak house. So then price was higher than it should have been given the food and service. I have no problems paying top dollar but I expect a higher level all round.
A. C.
Good atmosphere, made one mistake with the drink order which was immediately fixed. The food is good. The steak sauce is overpriced and should be complimentary. Steaks are made perfectly to the desired level.

The place was recommended by Dean the concierge from The Grace Hotel at Yorke St.
Superb!!
The deco and ambience is amazing with enough space between the tables.
Started with the bruschetta, sze chuan calamari and truffle oil garlic bread. Bruschetta was normal. Calamari was superb with a good outer crunch and succulently fresh calamari. While the garlic bread has a nice touch of shaved cheese over it but disappointed from lack of garlic and truffle oil.
For the mains I had the St Louis Ribs which were grilled spare ribs done to perfection. Soft to the cut and flavour to the core. Well worth the wait and made up for the subtle introduction.
Overall its a worthly 8.5 out of 10 and highly recommended for the mains
T. L.
It was really a great please and experience in this restaurant, I took the Kangaroo steak with potato and Aussie beer which made a excellent combination to chill in. The staff was really friendly and looked so professional. This restaurant atmosphere is really suitable for dating but it's okay if you just wanna try how is Kangaroo :D . I really recommend this for anyone. Will definitely come back this place whenever I visit Sydney
J. L.
Excellent!
Must try their kangourou meat (300gr) and their pork ribs (500gr)!
Well presented plate!
Nice atmosphere and good location!
A little bit expensive (117AUD for 2 peoples including half bottle wine), but it definitely worth it!
J. A.
Awesome service, quality food and great atmosphere. Will go again!
O. N.
Enjoyed our NYE dinner here. We were served with 2 glasses of Moët when arriving. The calamari as entree was impressive, and the wagyu rib eye was great as well (tbh a bit dry for me though I asked it to be medium), tiramisu the dessert as the perfect ending of 2018.

Great food and cozy restaurant if U are into meat and wine. The decoration and atmostshere is cozy and chic. We booked a table for 10 and we had a private room. Great to be able to share meals and talk to people as it has much less noise on the room. The service was excellent. I had lamb sholder and it was very soft and tasty. My friends had kangaroo skewers and they said it's good. The downside is the portion is not very big and a bit high price but it's worth and correct for the quality and service received.
P. W.
After a hard day sightseeing we thought we'd go for a steak. It was only about 6pm and despite it already being pretty busy they found us a table in the corner with room to park the buggy nearby too.
I had shorthorn fillet steak which was slightly overdone but nothing to complain about - it was well aged and really tasty. The chips were good too, nice and crisp. My wife had the chicken which was very nice too. We also had a side of mac and cheese which our 1 year old at most of - it was a little disappointing, not cheesy enough and not enough sauce to coat all the pasta - she didn't mind though.
For desert I had the creme brulee which was very good - lovely little biscuit on top too with some melted chocolate and some dried mandarin which added a nice texture.
Not the cheapest place but service was really good and overall I thought it was pretty good value for money.

I went once for lunch with friends, after looking for steakhouses in Sydney and the meat was amazing. Putting it simply: the steak literally filled me with happiness!
The place is expensive... but not as much as other high tier steakhouses around. We went on a Sunday for lunch and the place was almost empty, so we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Cherry in the cake: while we came for the meat, the desserts were surprisingly excellent too!
T. C.
Food was good, not especially outstanding but worth the money. The kangaroo skewer is...(lets be nice) a little ostentatious. Trying to have a conversation with my wife, I was actually just talking to a half meter contraption of piled meat and metal.
c. j.
I Wish I have a bigger stomach for such good place!
we had rid eye with bone and fish and chips for lunch, the service like every where i went in Sydney, so friendly and always gives u sun shine smile all the way!
Well, the steak was juicy, tender and just the way i ordered it, the fish is unbelievable tasty! the bill, u wont believe it, to good to be true!
S. M. J.
Best steakplace in Sydney for me!
This place has great atmosphere and is a must for steaklovers. They consistently produce delicious steaks (my favourite being the newyorker steak). Mushroom sauce is one of the best I've had and the chips are so tasty too.
Price is very reasonable and I always take my friends here and definately friends that come from overseas that want to try some steak in Australia!
Great value, delicious, highly recommended.
T. A.
Got the 3 course lunch for $59 deal which includes a glass of wine or soft drink. Got the Karubi Plate for entrée which was a small serving but really tasty (the brisket was a tiny bit dry but no big deal). For main got the 250g Wagyu Rump which was amazing steak with this really nice whipped butter. The Christmas Brulee for desert was amazing too - such a nice crispy top. The service was a little slow but friendly. Great lunch!
S. S.
Absolutely amazing! Steak was perfect. Wine was excellent. There is a surcharge of $5/per person on Sundays and public holidays and the sauces cost $4 each, but this place was worth it. We also got a free bottle of wine with the special on dimmi.
D. K.
I went to this place for the first time with partner on his birthday and also It was was first time trying steak. It was really good but I found a strand of hair in my steak, so I called the waiter and explained it, he took it back and came and told me that it was from a brush and asked me if I still wanted to eat it or they can happily make another one. I didn’t wanna eat the same steak after seeing hair so I requested a new one. Anyways my dining experience would have been awesome if the hair thing wasn’t there.
H. Y. C.
I visited here for lunch on workday. It was full booked, and we had to have seats on the counter. So we had to wait our stake quite long time. You should make a reservation if you visit here even lunch time.
All staffs are nice and friendly. Unfortunately rib eye stake didn’t go well with red wine sauce very much. (It was the only sauce costs $7, other ones are $4) Maybe we could ask staff’s recommendations!
Wanted to try dessert but time was running out. Hope next time I can visit with reservation and have time for creme brûlée.
F. D.
Amazing food and drink!
Chef came out to explain the sharing board and it was delicious.
Their mushroom sauce was one of the nicest I’ve ever had!
Great ambience and reasonable prices for the quality of food you get.
B. Q.
Absolutely delicious meal! The best calamari I've ever eaten and the sauce it came with was amazing. For dinner I had the shorthorn filet which was cooked perfectly memium rare and the cauliflower mac and cheese was a perfect side.
A. N.
Great atmosphere, great service, on my good the food is soo good. Great collection of wine and cocktails. Deserts for all taste buds.
S.
Perfection all around! Enjoyed a few entrees a red and white wine (both delicous). For main, my partner enjoyed the kangaroo and I, a delicious steak. Couldn't recommend enough!
F. A.
Awesome food and service. We got there pretty much during peak hour and were seated promptly and asked what we wanted to start. However, beyond the great service, the decor is the main draw. For a small place, the placement of the glass and mirrors made it seem more spacious and less claustrophobic than you might expect. Also, the food was great and don't skimp on dessert. The Don Padre thick shake is fantastic. Take it from me, get it with frangelico. You won't regret it.
H. U. (.
Delicious steak and ribs. The service is good and a bottle of wine is free of charge if you paid by citibank credit card.
z. g.
The food was delicious, the ribs were juicy and tasty. The customer service was great this time.
J.
I had an amazing experience in your another restaurant in Barangaroo and decided to try in this place... The food was ok I ordered steak the size was small and it was too dry , also average cocktails. Very disappointed as I was expecting a lot better.
N. A.
The food at Food & Wine Co is simply stunning ! Tonight we had the beef and chicken skewers (and shared them). The meat is succulent and perfectly cooked. The chips are also brilliant - beer batter chips - delicious. A garden salad was also the perfect accompaniment.
Our seat wasn't great - top of the stairs and in the thoroughfare to the toilets (and also where staff congregate to chat about other staff). (And one of the staff continually walked past clearing his throat and coughing - so not feeling Covid safe.) Plenty of other great spots to be seated - ours just wasn't great (poor ambience and service a little off).
But we'll definitely be back as the food is stunning and I'll be sure to say we don't want the table at the top of the stairs just near the toilet walkway !
L. W.
I loved their vibe including music selection between 90's-20's were great !
Staff were friendly and foods were exquisite - chicken and lamb skewer were fantastic. Better order a glass of wine than getting a bottle of wine is much cheaper. Love to go again.
R. N.
Good selection of meats. Yes they serve kangaroo on a skewer. Nice setting. Good date place.
K. “. Y.
Not bad. Portions are a good size and there is some creative use of truffles. For the price though if expect a bit extra... More effort on plating and service maybe ? Not all the dishes are as good as others. Some pretty good ribs, but lamb shoulder is so so.
W. 2.
One of the better restaurant for meats dishes, grill, steak with wines. Cosy, classy and reasonable service. If prices can be friendlier, stars would increase. Desert was bad.
M. W.
Incredible atmosphere and incredible food and incredible service. 10/10.
E. B.
Highly satisfying steakhouse experience like always! I had the boerewors starter and the beef skewer for my main and both were outstanding! Will go back again and again.
J. O.
definitely a must try! really good food
at a reasonable price!
M. H.
Great range of menu options. Extensive list of delicious cocktails. Rooms and set menu available for larger groups.
J. B.
Meat & Wine, who could ask for more?! I’d recommend the Angus beef burger, thick and juicy! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The lighting makes for a nice romantic atmosphere. The only reason for 4 stars is that it was extremely stuffy and hot during our dinner. Didn’t seem to be any air flow or air conditioning. Otherwise the meal was wonderful!
K. R.
Visited this place with one goal only....to taste kangaroo. Host were friendly and waiter as well. I always appreciate when waiters give recommendations as suggestions help. Thank you!
H. H.
Friendly waiters that made fantastic recommendations, exceptional dining experience & lovely ambience. Highly recommended.
N. D.
Really good restaurant in the Intercontinental in Sydney. The steak and the ribs are fantastic. I highly recommend the pork belly for starter. It is very expensive though.
M. C.
One of my favourite go-to places for ribs. But was a let down today. Ordered the ribs platter. Beef was cooked perfectly, but lamb and pork were over done - meat was dried out and covered in charcoal.
P. R.
I went there to try kangaroo meat, which I did. The restaurant was clean friendly and appropriately priced. The food was well prepared and presented.
A. S.
Enjoyed a Sunday lunch. Great menu and dessert range. Would visit again. Staff are friendly and didn't rush us out.
T. A. H.
Food was good. My eye fillet was good. A 7/10. Service and atmosphere is good.
S. N.
Lovely dining experience. We had the beef skewers and it was delicious. They know how to prepare their meat. Our waiter was excellent and so helpful, he made our experience so wonderful. A short walk from Circular Quay. I've dined here a couple of times, will be returning in the future.
R. R.
Beginning with the positives the Steak was amazing, literally one of the best i have had. But everything else was a slight dissapointnent. The ribs I had ordered had literally no meat on it. The serving of sides (chips and salad) was barely a handful each and not what you expect when you are paying such extravagant costs. I was told any custom cocktail could be made, having got my hopes up, i ordered my favourite cocktail to then be told only classic cocktails; we got a margarita and Long Island both typically strong drinks yet barely any taste of alcohol. Lastly my biggest frustration of all, having just sat down we were asked still or sparkling, I said still (assuming tap water) and instead was given a bottle of water which cost $10! I can accept I should have been specific but I was so focussed on settling a baby I was not ready to order and should have been asked if tap was ok by waiter.
Overall cant call this a bad restaurant as the quality is there and the interior feels very classy, just a very bad and dissapointing experience for what was supposed to be a big day for me personally.
C. M. U.
Great ambience and very nice service. I had an excellent ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. If you don't want to wait, book in advance!
M. L.
Always a big fan of Meat & Wine Co! Love their steak 🥩 so much.. Beautiful decore and very nice steak with crunchy chips. 😋 Love going there when we have sth to celebrate 🎉
p.
Great place for a steak. Nice atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We will definitely come back.
J. A.
One of my favorite places for all occasions. Great selection of food at great prices. They have a snazzy dining experience with a sophisticated atmosphere holding true to it's African style. The food and drinks are always great. Steaks are juicy and tender with plenty of sides to have with it. Ribs fall off the bone. A++
G. B.
Food was ok, some good, but marked down due to Waiter spilling wine on me.
C. L.
The atmosphere was great, the food was wonderful, the service.....hmmmmm. Asked if they could combine the mushroom and pepper sauce, answer was no!!! And was told the one starter out of 3 that I really wanted was unavailable on a Saturday night. Not acceptable from a top class restaurant in the city.
S. F.
Sensational food, wine dessert and service in a beautiful atmosphere.
J. H.
This is such a great dining place. Great service and tasty foods. Specially thanks to Ben. He is the main reason why I become a regular and big fan of the Meat and Wine. I also have great dinner today as always. Ben 🙏😄😃😄😃😄🙏
b. b.
The food is average I expected more nice place good service
J. W.
Awesome food and next level personal service. Amazing dry aged steak and the ribs blew me away! Definitely worth it!
g. r.
I am disappointed by this restaurant which "specialises" in meat.
I asked for a rare rib-eye steak: first time they brought it, the steak was a medium cook, so I asked them to change it. Second try, the meat arrived blue.. nevermind, I ate it this way.
Other bad point, the price!!!
43 dollars for a steak with frozen fries in a ridiculusly small quantity compare to the amount of industrielle 8 dollars veal juice...
At the end the meat was great and The service was professionnal.
A. A.
Great steaks at reasonable price. Good service and ambience. Tried the rib eye. Will go again
C. J.
I am usually happy with the Meat and Wine Company - when doing business travel to Melbourne I would frequent their restaurants there. But, there were 3 issues with our service on 28-Feb-2020.
I selected a wine Brothers in Arms Shiraz 2010 - when the wine was bought to the table I needed to ask the waiter if it was the vintage year of 2010 as he was about to open it - it was 2012 - I asked if there was any 2010 left - he replaced “No we no longer have 2010 available”. I took the 2012 for our dinner. Point here is if you no longer have a specific vintage please inform the customer of this - just don’t assume they find another vintage acceptable
As we were finishing up our dinner the waiter began to clear the table and did not ask if we were finished - grabbed one of our side dishes that still had some food left - put his hand directly into the bow - my partner tried to stop him from taking it away and said she was not finished yet. He was apologetic and did bring us another serve of the side dish. Point here the wait staff needed to understand the proper etiquette and ask if we were finished - not just start clearing the table
Lastly, what disappointed us the most was the quality of the meat. The meat was cooked properly but was quite chewy and more on the tough side. Quite disappointing for a reputable steak house. When I informed the restaurant manger and said to him the steak had gristle - he was not aware of what gristle was - I had to inform the MANAGER OF A STEAK HOUSE THE MEANING OF GRISTLE. If you manage an establishment like this you need to be well informed about beef / meat and the terms that describe the product. Very disappointed.
P. T.
Very good service! And very delicious food! Definitely recommend!
M. V.
Loved this place. Did not make reservation and walked in. Pretty crowded. food and service was good.
R. S.
The restaurant has good setup, warm and cozy especially for couple talk as the atmosphere seems to be quite romantic. Tried the premium steak with supposedly 2+ marble score but mine was too dry and my friend one was overcooked. At least the service was good as they managed to replace with another set. Pricing wise seems to be a great deal only if the doneness is right and the meat is not dry.
J. M.
Missed the octopus!! I came with a mindset of having octopus and kangaroo. Could not have the first because they had none.
They argued it was busy and Christmas approaching... will have to come back to taste it.
M. O.
Only been here once and after that experience I think they should change their name to The Wine & Meat Company, with the emphasis on wine. The wine selection was exceptional. Very nice presentation of the wine.
On the other hand, the meat was average at best. Three of our party had steaks that were very tough and hard to chew. Very disappointing after having a great Shiraz.
N. H.
Great food & Great cocktails! Staff was Welcoming, friendly & professional. Meat & Wine Co never lets me down. My favourite restaurant. The shared entree’ and dessert platters were perfect for myself and my partner, we both LOVED the variety, the flavours and presentation was Amazing! We also ordered the $80 steak and OMG! Hands down the BEST steak I’ve had EVER!!! I’ve never spent that much on a steak before seeing as I have never found anyone that cooks it better than my dad. But we got it & it was nothing like anything I’ve had before. If your a steak fan, you’ve definitely got to try it.
A. C.
We were gifted a red balloon experience of a 3 course dinner. It was so lovely. Staff and service was amazing. Food was delicious. The calamari was so nice, the pork ribs were fantastic. Finished off with a decadent dessert of creme brulee and chocolate fondue. So lovely. Would love to go again. Would be great for a small group of diners as well.
J.
I would highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant, The food is amazing and the service is just outstanding, The staff really know there wines as well!! I go at least once a month when i can.

Had our last family meal here before we return hime after an amazing holiday with our family who are staying behind 😥 . The food here was excellent as was the service. We had a party of 8 people and were dining in one of the private dining rooms where we had our own waitress looking after us. There is a huge selection of wines available to suit all of the many meats that are on offer. I had a full rack of ribs with a selection of sides between us all and I was starting to struggle towards the end but I finished them off. Meat fell off the bones and it was delicious. As you would expect the prices are higher than normal which is what you wiuld expect for this fine dining.Go on get down here and try it yourself

Nice restaurant perfect for business. High end but not outrageously pricey. Good value lunch set with very nice steak.
P. B.
A very nice restaurant and bar serving excellent food. My friends and I enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
O. C.
With good foods and nice ambient, this restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars.

A great steak house. Plush leather booths and big handled steak knives set the scene - the place has a traditional old school steak restaurant feel to it. But the food is sensational from entrees to desert and of course the steak is bang on. Service is effortlessly friendly and helpful. A great experience all around.
K. H.
Steak was decent quality. My fillet was good while wife's rib eye was too chewy. Service was average. But it really depends on your luck with the easier that you get. I saw other tables getting great service from their waiter.
E. A.
We came here because it showed up in our research for places that serve great Kangaroo. We were not disappointed. The service and food was great! I ordered a fillet and my wife ordered the kangaroo skewer. We also got drinks too. The only disappointing part was the side salad for the fillet (iceberg lettuce and tomatoes are not creative).
I would highly recommend people come check this place out.
E. A.
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The kangaroo steak was amazing, see photo. Must go restaurant in Sydney.
N. M.
Great venue and atmosphere, and very friendly service. Vegetarians don't be put off by the name (or that its technically a steakhouse)! I had grilled haloumi and roasted artichoke with whipped feta and it was divine. The blood orange mojito was also a winner. Can definitely recommend this restaurant, regardless of whether you're there for the steak.
P. P.
Lovely restaurant located at the Intercontinental hotel. A short walk from Circular Quay. Went here for our anniversary. Had the Rib - Eye Monte Grain fed steak. It was really awesome. My wife tried the Salmon skewer which was also very tasty. Tried the sweet potato fries as a side dish. Loved that too. Amazing good, nice ambiance and very courteous staff. Keep it up. Will be visiting again for sure.

One of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. Highly recommended!
R. J.
Went out for our last night in Sydney and glad we found this place. Restaurant is dimly lit which created a nice atmosphere. Service was very professional, efficient and friendly and the food was to die for. Cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. The skewered meat was awesome :)
N. E.
The best steaks in Sydney! Always cooked to perfection.
V. I.
Warm and mood lit atmosphere. The layout of the seating can accommodate romantic, private, and groups.
Tried the steak dishes, medium-rare. So good didn't even touch the side sauce. Would like to try the big skewers next time.
c. L.
Phenomenal steakhouse with great ambiance, respectful service, and absolutely incredible food. While the steak shines brightly (choice between several types of cow, cut, and age), the side dishes do not disappoint. I will be returning here again for any excuse I can find.
P. R.
Great food and wine - not cheap, but you'd expect that! Service is great; our waiter was a good sport with a very dry sense of humour that contributed to the pleasant atmosphere. Very much liked the decor too. Hope to be back soon!
A. A. B.
I always enjoy steaks here. Cooked to perfection. Also try their Pina Colada, too good!
S. W.
Good selection of wine. The steaks were delicious with a bit of sauce.
J. C.
Cooked perfect. Atmosphere amazing. Will go again.
S.
Kangaroo Skewer is the best. Portuguese Chicken is tender but the spices are a matter of taste. Service can be better. I found it quite shameful of them to ask me how much I would like to tip instead of asking me whether everything/food is fine. 20 minutes waiting for our cocktails. Summary one can say, food is good, poor service. Reservation is recommended/required.
B. J.
Had dinner here on the 7th of April and I was very impressed with my meal and the service that we received. Hands down the best ribs I have ever had, so sweet and juicy, just fell off the bone. Embraced the natural flavour of the meat without overpowering it with an overwhelming BBQ marinade. Everything, including the beverages, sides and entree, were very enjoyable. Had such a lovely experience and on our next trip to Sydney we will be sure to stop by again. Thanks so much.
V. G.
Proper. The steaks were done properly, the red wine and bubbles were proper, the service was proper and a proper atmosphere for a fine dinner.
Recommend: Organic Chianti (a medium body red with extremely aromatic nose by glass)with Wagyu rib eye (You can taste the beautiful sweetness from fat).
This restaurant is still very busy on Tuesday night, it comes for a reason :)
It will never be a wrong choice if you would like to go steak.
J. C.
Steaks were delicious. The service was excellent. We had 3 young kids and they made sure we were looked after what with setting up a high chair, giving us a private room (beneficial for us as well as the other patrons) and being overall very patient with us.
M. B.
Food was good. Wine was nice. Service was OK. Limited options for GF, as it's a famous chain I would have expected more in this department. For the price I would expect closer to a fine dining type of service to add to the overall vibe/experience.
F. L.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my steak as much as I hoped. I ordered the $50 500g Wagyu 6+ rump. It was still a bit tough and chewy so don't expect Kobe quality here. Friend ordered salmon. I told her to ask for it medium rare but she said well done. After it came she told me she wished she listened to me as it was fairly dry. *Sigh*. Sides were the broccolini and garden salad. They were fine.... Service was good
V. H.
I recently dined at this beautiful restaurant in the semi private room. The food quality is excellent and has generous proportions. I was impressed with the presentation of the food and venue. We had the lunch deal option - $25 for one course with a glass of wine - great value for a city restaurant. The temperate of the room was freezing but they soon fixed this. Also the chairs in the semi private room feel a little low for the table. Other than that, we had a great time. Highly recommended.
E. L.
One of the best steak I’ve ever had. Go for the Monte Prime Rib Eye.
A. M.
Had a couple of work dinners at this restaurant location. The first one was in the private room - a converted cool room. The less said about that the better. It was as bad as any dinner in a cool room could go. Most recently we had a set menu dinner in the restaurant proper and the experience was great. The service was impeccable and the food (entree, steaks and dessert) were of a high standard. The steaks were cooked as we asked them to be served. Great range of wines as well.
K. Y.
Leaving a review this time because even though we hadn't booked, they accommodated us - a large group - graciously. This was a great place to bring guests as they have items on the menu that our European friends hadn't tried before. Overall it was a successful evening. We've been here a few times over the years, and the food quality varies a little. In this recent occasion however, I have to say it was a solid 8/10. Would recommend.
J. D.
I can honestly say that it was the best meal of 2018. The calamari was tender and perfectly battered, the wine was delicious, and the pork ribs.... oh wow the pork ribs. I could’ve eaten my fingers because the sauce was on them. The chips were complimented with an incredible blue cheese sauce. 10/10 would enter food coma again.

Went for early dinner to Meat & Wine Co. in Circular Quay today, we have eaten there many times and it seems to be hit and miss. Today apart from me and my partner there was one other couple in the whole restaurant. Before we were taken to our table we were advised that as it was a Sunday that there was a $5 surcharge which I think is ridiculous, its almost like we should thank them for being open on a Sunday which you would imagine is one of their busiest days.
Anyway, as I mentioned there was us and another couple, we waited at least 30 minutes for our meals to come, I ordered salmon, I like my salmon medium and I was told this is the way they cook it, the salmon came out over down and dry and my partners pork ribs were cold.
I did say to our waiter that my salmon was overdone but I didn't want to change it as I didn't want to wait for it to be re-cooked. She went and told the chef that it was overdone and we were given desert on the house.
As it was so quiet there, I feel there was no excuse for the meal to take so long and then for it to be cold and overdone plus paying a surcharge was very disappointing.
S. P.
We had been waiting for 45 mins for our food to come before one of their staff approached our table and apologized while explaining about our food delay because of their system broke down. Little did we notice about that because we thought it was because they were full house at that. She also directly gave us a complimentary food as a starter for us without our asking. Not long after that we got all our wine and food order as well. Overall we were so glad about their service and didn't matter about the delay, really enjoyed our dinner and Food was worth every penny we spent! Will be back for sure!
S. P.
Food was real nice. Really liked the design and ambience of the restaurant too.
J. C. (.
It's okay...
Food is general food, not great not bad..
The song playlist was old school 80s 90s which confused me as it doesn't fit the overall vibe of the branch especially at night.
But as expected customer service was on point.
Overall if you're looking for a fancy-ish dinner or gathering, it's not bad but there are better places I'd go over Meat & Wine co.
J. M.
Perfectly cooked steak. Didn't have reservations , and ended up sitting at the bar. The staff wasn't over the top friendly, more punctual and to the point. Most likely a five star review if we got to experience the servers, as I could see they were more attentive to their tables. Will come back if I'm ever in Australia again.
C. E.
Service was excellent. Food was overpriced. It was good, mind you, but at those prices, I should have been blown away. I wasn't. I've had better steak at Outback. I did thoroughly enjoy the bottle of wine, at least.
S. D. (.
Four of just had dinner here and it was fanatic! Even the garlic bread was a cut above. Two had the Ribeye, cooked to perfection, and two had Lamb. One had the ribs and one had the shoulder. The shoulder was in a rich sauce roasted to a delightful tenderness. The ribs were grilled with rosemary and mint and were fall off the bone tinder.
Service was good with a knowledgeable waiter who kept us well attended.
D. F.
AMAZING food, meat cooked to perfection, loved the South African food. Great service and venue looks the part.
C. C.
One of my family's favourite places. Circular quay location has a much better atmosphere than Barangaroo. Very pricey, but worth it if you're looking for a nice dinner out. The skewers are a must, they have chicken, salmon or kangaroo - all great! Order with the blue cheese sauce.
D. A.
Great tasting food and great wine recommendation from my server (even though i don't generally like wine), cognac espresso martini was delicious, garlic bread could have been a bit crispier but was very tasty, wagyu rib-eye was delicious, though a little too charred for medium, chips & salad were very good.
T. T.
A very fancy, upscale and romantic restaurant.
Delicious food, professional and knowledgeable staff and above all, the best kangaroo steak and beef ribs I've ever had - by far!!
I can't wait to be back!
K.
The share platter for 2 was delicious. Our wagyu was as cooked perfectly, the salad that came with the meal was dull. Drinks were good although the “ old fashioned” was just a bit to sweet. I would come back.
R. R.
Unique Aussie food with reasonable price, however, $5 surcharge per person on Sunday.
K. S.
Great selection of well aged steaks and a great wine list. Great old fashioned steak house. What's not to like? Try the 150 day aged shorthorn style, you will not be disappointed.
P. G.
Great spot for happy hour drink between 4-6pm weeknights, at real happy hour prices! And what's the one thing cheap drinks makes up for?Average service! The staff are nice enough, and I'm not sure its the pressures of working at a big high end hotel, or something else, though they just seem a little disinterested ! Otherwise, this would get 5 stars.
Y. A.
Good steaks, but not that amazing although the waiter described it as the best stake in town. The waiters are super friendly. I couldn't find a reservation that suits me, so I dropped by, and they managed to get me a table. Very cozy place, by little gloomy.
C. D. L.
The 2/3 course lunch menu is quite good and good value. The Wagyu tartare was great and a sizeable portion. The steak was also cooked very well. Pink all the way through with no bleeding. Only thing I will say is the ribs were dry, may have just been a overcooked batch. My brother said he's had the same St Louis ribs from Barangaroo and recommended it. So one star off for that. Apart from that everything was good. Service, food, coffee all good.
R. M.
The steaks are nowehere near tender. Even the wagyu isn't properly cooked and chewy and hard to cut through. Would've hoped that since I'm paying nearly $90 for a piece of steak that I'd at least get a juicy tender medium rare piece of wagyu steak, but it was poorly seasoned, and really low quality meat. Utterly disappointed.
B. p.
Steak house in Intercon Hotel. Great meats and steak.
W. L.
Beautiful dining experience. Food was perfect, service was spot on. I had the steak and rib combo with Portuguese sauce and apple pie for dessert - both were absolutely delicious.
We were a party of 5 and we were all left very satisfied
M. A.
Amazing food great service. Ribs are to die for 👍
M. S.
One of the best meat dishes I've ever had in my life! Come for the kangroo and stay for the lamb ribs. Mouth watering and mind-blowingly delicious. The cocktails were also amazing.
K. I.
I placed a 3 star review for Meat and Wine Co. Barangaroo but the Circular Quay branch is much better in ambiance and service. The food was superb like always and my guests thoroughly loved the food, experience and service. A must for a nice meal with family, friends or a date! Well done Meat and Wine Co. Circular Quay!
g. r.
Had an amazing night on Wednesday 15th. The food was amazing, steak cooked perfect and the ribs we the best I've had. I would have to say aswell that i have had some pretty good mushroom sauces to but the one i had easily topped the lot! The staff and the service was great, i recommend the upper floor for an awsome view while you eat to. Highly recommended restaurant, cant wait to come back!
Goodluck guys your doing an amazing job 👍👌
L. C.
Price are a bit high, but it is worth testing this restaurant if you are really into meat. All pieces were perfectly cooked, and very tasty. Wine was very average and rather pricey.
L. Z.
Finally, after a lot of trial and error, we found a restaurant that serves good kangaroo meat!
I tried an amazing kangaroo steak years ago and during recent trip to Australia I tried to replicate experience - in vain. This meat is very easy to overcook, and probably like beef has to come from a happy roo - otherwise it is very tough. Restaurant after restaurant I tried, and ended up disappointed.
I was giving up hope, but we went to Meat and wine on our last day and oh, it was so worth it. If you think kangaroo meat is rubbish, try it there, I guarantee you'll change your mind.
Good selection of wine too.
M. S.
You think "oh, hotel restaurant", but no no no it is so much better. The steaks were done to perfection, aged and tender. Even the baked potato was the way I like it, crispy skin with velvety interior. And dont be fooled by the house wines, the Shiraz was great.
W. D.
This is a really great place for a meal. The menu is really broad with lots of choices. The meat is fantastic here and pretty well priced too. They are also part of Citibank dining so if you've a citibank card you can get free wine with your meal. Service is great and atmosphere inside is very homely.
S. M.
A welcome addition to Circular Quay, and the surprise for me was the hand pressed premium beef burger. So delicious! juicy sauces with crunchy lettuce on a toasted bun.
The setting will be a bit noisy when full, but right now it is an undiscovered gem right next to the opera house.
The wine list has an extensive selection of Australian wines, although it would have been nicer to have a more diverse number of South African ones to choose from.
Highly recommended.
B. L.
There were 20 people in our group, & we were looked after with great service , good food & a dark atmosphere.
Y. K.
Went on Valentine's Day, they had a special that was approximately $100 per steak. Even with a full house, the food was exceptional, and came out moderately quickly, and the atmosphere was just amazing. Service was super attentive and helpful as well. I had an amazing time in Sydney (Partly thanks to this place).
M. G.
We ate here with a large party on our wedding night and it was absolutely incredible!! If you're visiting Sydney, do yourself a favor and eat here! And, make sure to order the calamari - every person in our group said it was the best they ever had!!
D. L.
Great food and service...We arrived a bit late hungry with 2 young children in tow..who both love great beef. They gave us a great table, accommodated us well and recognised our children as patrons which is commendable given many establishments attitudes to family meals out. The meat, food and service is great ! The staff are fantastic...Great job Team !
Thanks for a great night out with tasty food !
D. C.
Wagyu Ribeye Steak is a must-try. The wines are great. Service is pretty good. Bit noisy but you’ll probably ignore that as the food is just phenom; better than Southbank branch.
C. F.
very very good food. I ate Kangaroo stake. Very soft. and Good taste. also price is reasonable. you don't have to pay any tip and Tax in Sydney. already include in the price.
G. S.
I was reluctant to do steaks again so soon after a trip to Stripsteak in Waikiki. The difference is extremely. Stripsteak had a Michelin star (at least in Miami), an attitude, hopeless staff that demand a 22% tip and terrible steaks.
Meat & Wine brought back the smile. Firstly the staff were very friendly. The menu was easy to understand and choose from. They're quick to recommend and explain how each steak should be cooked (medium for some, medium rare for others for example).
The steaks were cooked quickly and were done perfectly. Soft, and easy to cut. Booking through Dimmi were we given a bottle of house Shiraz which wasn't too bad. Nice ambience. Easy to pay (we were able to and go at the table).
S. L.
Had a full rack of pork ribs here for $59. Pricey but worth it as a premium ribs experience.
L. H.
The food is alright. We tried the 5 courses in Dimmi offer last week, however quite disappointing as our streak was over-cooked. The octopus with potato taste fine, but there are only 4 small pieces of octopus and all the rest is potato.
r. g.
Steak was great, desserts were a miss. But hey.... you go to a steak restaurant for steak not dessert. Waiter was tops. Hope this helps guys! Oh hit up the pepper sauce, the best of the lot.
A. T.
This place is really good. Waiters were very friendly and informative , our server took the time to explain the different grades of beef etc and recommendations . Steaks come out in a timely manner and was mouth watering . Would recommend to anyone
ゆ.
Staff is kindness. I used at dinner twice, and both day are bustling with many people. About food, everything is good. Especially, broccolini and fodan chocola are really delicious!! You must try it.
A. S.
Great place to have dinner with the family. Food was absolutely delicious, 5 star service and love the decor. Definitely will come back for more. Ben Cheng the restaurant manager was very attentive and look after our table.
J. J.
Everything we expected, top notch food, drinks and service! Staff have good knowledge especially with drink selection. Our server was very helpful and recommend foods to go with our drink selection and it was spot on! Would return again for sure 👍
S. W.
Great meal. Got the 350g rib eye and 500g Wagyu rump. Both cooked perfectly. Great lively atmosphere also. Very quick service.
J. T.
The food is simply mind blowing, there is nothing better than an entree of Pork Belly or Szechuan Calamari then follow up with a main of Medium Rare New York steak with peppercorn sauce. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
A. S.
Amazing food and really nice ambience. Not the cheapest place to have a dinner but they don't market themselves as such. Should try if you're looking for a nice place to have a dinner in the city. The CQ location isn't as busy as the Barangaroo one so one can even go without a reservation.
F. L.
The beef was tender but under seasoned. Not a fan of the glaze on my steak. The sides were great. Service was great. The blue cheese sauce was not impressive either.
j. n. (.
Visited this restaurant during Vivid. Waiters were professional and courteous. Their knowledge of the different styles and cuts of meat were good. The Rack of ribs were fall of the bone delicious.
C. C.
I love the black garlic butter for steaks!
M. W.
Had dinner for my birthday but hadn't mentioned it during booking or in conversing with the waiter. Mitch overheard us talking about it and surprised me with the offer of a Birthday Broulee after our amazing steaks. Highly recommended :)
L.
Great restaurant, fabulously friendly staff and amazing food. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and the atmosphere was on point, the steak is cooked to perfection and the wine list compliments perfectly.
N. B.
Surprisingly excellent food for a hotel lobby restaurant. Best meal I had while in Austrailia. The rack of lamb and broccolini were well executed though I wish I had also ordered the kebabs which arrive on a hanging skwer.
A. O.
I've been the the Barangaroo location and Circular Quay. Unfortunately our experience wasn't that great at Circular Quay. Desserts and wine were lovely, and inside is a nice setup. The service was what let us down. At 430pm our waiter changed and not only did we have to flag him down to order a drink, but he was quite rude. We ended up going elsewhere for dinner.
R. M.
Food was ok. Overpriced. Customer service was mediocre, cared more about upselling than our experience. Steak was over cooked. Had higher expectations. Wouldn’t recommend.
A. S.
What an excellent meal. The food is pricey but you get what you pay for. The Kangaroo is not to be missed! If you like beets try the beet salad appetizer, just delightful. If I ever make it back to Sydney this place will be worth coming back to.
M.
So.. where to start.. We ordered the wagyu filet (recommended as a «out of meny» thing) and it was perfectly cooked and yeah.. just mindblowing good! We took some dessert and cocktails, and it was all perfect! The chocolate and hazelnut fondant melted apart as my stomach started to go completly full. A big thank you to the staff!
P. O.
The wagyu steak was expensive but exceptionally well cooked and tasted almost sweet and bbq'd. The peppercorn sauce was very peppery, but nice. If you go all out for the wagyu steak, don't bother with any sauces as the steak itself tastes perfect as is
s. O.
The service was amazing, never been treated so kindly in my life. The food was beautiful the different spices just bounce down your throat my chicken was so soft and moist and my brothers stake was cooked to perfection will defiantly be returning in future with friends and family.
V. A. T.
Perfect lunch date with my fiancé at perfect restaurant.. service , food , restaurant all excellent 💯 will recommend to all my friends and will come back with friends 😊 thank you guys ..
D. F.
It's full of suits and meat but what is not to like about the beautifully redecorated former home of Etch that has now been taken over by the juggernaut that is The Meat & Wine Co. If you are a carnivore, it's hard to go wrong. The 350g rib-eye is superb and the half rack of pork ribs is cooked such that meat simply glides off the bone. Any place where you get to wear a bib to dine has got to be okay, right?
The wine list is good and is heavy on the Australian side with a nod to some South African wines which is where the company hails from. It's all too easy to sit here an entire afternoon for a long lunch as the staff bring more red, a cheese plate or two and you finish with a nice sticky wine. It's a dangerous business meeting that uses this place as a luncheon location. Well worth a visit but make to take your wallet!
D. M.
Been here plenty of times, very good food as always although the prices have been increased lately and are getting a bit outrageous.
J. H.
Service was friendly and food fantastic. The restaurant is a little small and there was a feeling of constantly being bumped by wait staff and other customers as they walked past. Otherwise a great experience.
J.
The outstanding and memorable part of the meal was the excellent service that we were provided. The food of course was delicious and the servings were generous, but the wait staff were very courteous and accommodating. Thank you for a great meal!
N. K.
Service was not what we hoped for. Barely asked us if we wanted an alcoholic beverage or drink in general. Ordered a ribeye medium came out borderline well-done. Served dessert without spoons. Will go again maybe it's worth a second chance and this was an off night.
J. B.
Consistantly fabulous. Great food, great vibe. I enjoyed the New Yorker with blue cheese sauce, boerwors entree with miele pap and chakalaka sauce. Finished off with a creme brulee and a bite of my friends pav, delightfully accompanied by the Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc.
E. A.
Beautiful grass fed steak 400gr with some farmer salad (baby cos lettuce, cucumber, onion, radish and pomegranate
A. M.
The place is decent
Though low lighting
The chicken was good, tender and soct.
But the sticky rice with that wasn't well digested.
I had stomach gastric because of that ( may be)
M. M.
Fantastic steak. Perfectly cooked. What you would expect from Meat and Wine Co. Interested to see they also had some nice looking grilled salmon hanging skewer dishes, so they are catering to a wider audience.
I. M.
The restaurant has pleasant and cozy ambience. Ribs and chicken breast were perfectly cooked and seasoned. And creme brulee close to if not the best we have had anywhere!
G. D.
Had half racks pork and beef ribs for my partners birthday and they were sooooooo good plus a side of mac & cheese which has to be one of the best mac & cheese's I've have also service from the team at Meat & Wine Co was amazing!
N. L.
Came here for my wife's bday.
Let's just say service and the complementary desert where the best part of the meal, in a steak restaurant...
Beef carpaccio for starter had too many 'dips' and smoked veggies on it, instead of the traditional parmagian cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.
Half a rack of pork ribs was not bad, but my wife's ramp eye steak was way over cooked and dry after she asked for a medium.
Overall an average experience
A.
We loved it. Pricey but worth it. Amazing service and even better food.
We will definitely be back.
A. M.
Always go out of their way to make us feel welcomed and the food is to match. Highly recommend. However the toilets which they share with the Intercontinental are terrible, especially later at night.
Z. L.
You must to have their rip. So good.
C. H.
Really nice steak and drinks
T. W. F.
Great atmosphere and really good food.
The only negative point was the fact that it hard to get a table (it gets fully booked fast), but we could eat at the counter so it was still really nice.
Service is normal.
G. C.
Excellent food and service. Fast and polite.
E. K.
Great food and service.
Went there for dinner on a Friday night and there was no problems getting a table. The service was excellent and we shared an entree and a ribs and steal combo. The food was good and the service was good too. Nothing to complain about.
R. V.
Great atmosphere, same tried and true menu they have had forever. Excellent steaks as you would expect.
A. K.
Stunning meats. Not on the cheap side at all, but worth every penny. We had the rump steak and fillet, both incredibly tender and cooked to perfection.
G. W.
We were in for dinner on Wednesday 29/3/2017. All I can say is the service and the food was absolutely fabulous. My complements to all concerned. The only downside was the noise from other people but to be expected from a very busy restaurant.
Thank you all again for a great experience.
Judy & Guy Wolland
R. N.
Good atmosphere and food was great. However there were a lot of menu inconsistencies as their online and in house menus varied quite a bit. For some of the group who had dietary requirements, their lack of details made it difficult to order.
A.
Great food ! & I love th atmosphere here. Staff were super friendly & helpful. As a solo traveller, I didn't feel out of place or left on the shelf. Hopefully I get to return to this venue very soon!
S. B.
Good food and we enjoyed lamb and kangaroo. However, service was rushed, mains arrived before entree was cleared, then we had to wait for wine to arrive to go with our main meal.
M. C.
Absolutely love this restaurant. When in Sydney you must come as the food is excellent, the cocktails are very good and the service is exemplary. Cannot recommend enough.
G. L.
Highly recommend!!!
Cocktails are amazing and so are the steaks, tender and juicy and it just melts in your mouth.
Professional customer service
P. H.
The medium-rare Rib-Eye was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The Black garlic butter didn't overpower but empower the tenderness of the rib-eye.
It's heaven for meat lover.
C. C.
Delicious, perfectly cooked steak and a great wine list. The only negative was the tomato salad, but I guess it's hard to get good tomatoes out of season.
I. S.
Great food, it was perfect and service was outstanding, I would recommend
B. H.
Delicious steak & red wine, served by attentive staff left me wanting for nothing - until the dessert menu arrived. Always a brilliant venue.
N. L.
My partner and I decided we’re never going to cook a steak at home any more. We’ll just eat one here when we feel like steak. This place is amazing!
A. L.
Great ombiance and good wine selection, but my steak was over cooked and under seasoned. You should never have to add salt and pepper to a $35 filet mignon.
R. B.
$59 platter ribs were average. Beef inparticular was very undercooked/black, had no taste and was chewy/bad. Lamb/pork were decent.
K. P.
Very good service, the Italian waiter was extremely friendly. The kangaroo is a must. You will enjoy your time here.
S. F.
Always reliable venue for great steak cooked perfectly. Shame the deserts came up short. Pavalova was a dry Meringue that out US guests likened to eating plaster.
S. N.
Warm and inviting restaurant serving lots of steak-based meals, believe it or not. Prices are reasonable for a CBD location. Great desserts!
J. K.
Food was exceptionally delicious, and the waiters were extremely attentive but not to the point of intrusiveness which was refreshing. I would recommend this for anyone seeking a nice upper class dinner.
S. E.
Great portion size and value for money. Delicious food served, well cooked meal. Be prepared to use your hands for the ribs.
R. G.
Good atmosphere food and service overall. We were a party of 8, only my steak was very salty. I should have sent it back.
W. H.
Food was delicious, but we were seated in the back and our server took a long time to take our order. We also had to remind them of our wine order as we received our mains before our drinks
J. C.
The Wagyu steak was expensive however a brilliantly cooked medium rare steak. I enjoyed the peppercorn sauce & sides. The Wagyu steak without the sauce is also brilliant, perhaps a little too salty but a great steak.
M. M.
Good food. Steak was done perfectly and was a huge serving. Service was excellent. The food is rather pricey - but it is a high end restaurant.
S. B.
My favourite meal is the pork ribs. They are so tender and fall off the bone. The service was really great as well.
W. G. J.
Great place for steak lover.
Like: Lots of steak choices. Include offers non-steak choices
Dislike: Online booking does not seem to work well.
K. R.
Good food, decent service
K. H.
In the top 3 best steaks if my life; Highly recommend.
F. L.
Good steak. Great sides. Good service. Not find of the bluecheese sauce for the steak or the glaze that they automatically put on it. But otherwise a good meal.
m.
Great service, nice cosy environment but a tad too dime. Place for meat lovers only. Dont walk in on the weekend without a reservation. Parking around the hotel is plentiful.
S. S.
Words don't express it . Great food Great Wine and Great service. If there's one place to eat and drink...you can't miss the Meat and Wine company. *******Star.
M. S.
Very good steaks and good wine menu to choose from. The restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere ( unless you sit near the back near the bathrooms which is highly not recommended)...Been here on many occasions - food is still consistent but the service has definitely 'slipped' over the years..not as attentive as it used to be...
J. C.
A great steak experience with an indulgent Mac and cheese.
C. M.
Lovely restaurant in the InterContinental hotel. Had a beautifully cooked steak and a glass of Malbec as recommended by the exceptionally professional waiter who served us. Highly recommended.
M. L.
Great food and service. Steaks are perfectly cooked which is always a bonus. Would dine here more often if it was more affordable.
I. O.
Friendly service, great food. Had the tomahawk steak. 10/10 ! Couldn't fault anything about the place.
S. G.
Upscale ambience for succulent meat dishes. Amazing restaurant with excellent service. Good wine list. Love the interior design.
M. K.
Shared an entree (the grilled cheese), fillet steak, and the Argentinian spiced chicken. Beautifully cooked and presented. Great quality and not too expensive
S. R.
A restaraunt for foodies who love quality and service. Close to $100 pp for 2 courses and a cocktail and worth every penny. Can't do it everyday but if yoy can get there. Get there!
G. R.
Fantastic steakhouse and the service is friendly. I have not had a steak so juicy.
S. P.
Amazing food. Servers are friendlier and more attentive here than at the Barangaroo one. Lovely experience, will be going back.
R. L.
Have had very good experiences here before, but unfortunately steak tonight was way over cooked and as a result dry and tough
C. L.
Beautiful interior, the best of the various locations. Lovely service. However, I have the feeling that the quality of the cooking is decreasing with time.
K. F.
The portugese chicken skewers are amazing and the wine was also so good. The music is great although one in our party complained it was too loud.
F. G.

J. E.
Great steaks and ribs with a nice wine list for a reasonable budget, I would highly recommend the meat and wine co near circular key
J. K.
Dark and moody setting, attentive staff, and delicious food. The highly directional lighting can leave some guests seated in the dark unable to read whilst others are flowing and highlighted in a near spotlight.
A. P.
Pork ribs are off the chain. Steak was amazing as well. Good atmosphere and will be back.
W. C.
Is very popular so need to make a reservation. I had a 350gm rid eye. Steak was very tender.

There's Meat. There's Wine. There's (usually) company. It's a nice place for romantic or formal dining, but isn't overly stiff like some of its counterparts in this end of town.

Part of a chain. The food is pretty good and well priced. Recommend sharing mains as portions are generous.

Asked for a medium well fillet (costing 56 dollars).. I get the driest meat ever. Last time for me here.
