An average Turkish cuisine restaurant. Their set menu prices is not expensive but to my view you don't get what you pay for it. Next time I would just request what I like rather than a set menu price.
K. F.
Their perfectLy textured Turkish bread and assortment of dips earn this place 5 stars alone. Outrageously good value and the din filled garage-come-seating area at the back gives this place all the cheap and cheerful charm you could ask for. The kebabs bang too. In general a great cuisine for takeaway.

Best dips ever!
That’s a large size with whatever flavours you want. We were sad that beetroot was such a large portion and told our waiter, we’d prefer chilli. He was very kind to give us another plate with just chilli. Talk about exceptional service 👌🏼👌🏼
Tasty and well cooked lamb kebabs and delicious pides!!
Highly recommend.
A. W.
Love this place, has been my favourite for so long. My suggestion is to not get the banquet if you can help it and if you're a meat eater, there's no place better to go to get beautifully cooked lamb on coals. The other stand outs for me are the beetroot hummus and karisik pide.
a. z.
It was Bertie’s and I first outing since lockdown finished...had a nice time (only took one photo) had a good mix of food and will be back again...iskander kebab

I love this place. The food is delicious and very fresh. The service is lightning fast and friendly. 5 stars!

Great food. The restaurant can get a little noisy when full (which is like all the time) but it's not that bad in summer as all the windows were open. The servings are large and filling. The large dips collection and bread basket will be enough as a meal for two people. Don't order starters and mains at the same time as it will come at the same time. Order dishes with a but of time in-between. The service could improve a little but that's probably because there aren't enough people waiting the tables. I will recommend this restaurant for Lebanese/Turkish/Middle Eastern food.
L. S.
Very convenient location on the main street in Newtown. Their dips are amazing - rich and complex flavour, soft but not runny texture. A perfect combination with bread - just can’t stop eating. The staffs are very friendly too :)
A. R.
Nice experience, fresh food, and completely different than. Other restaurants.
I like the Turkish tea there.
Lovely and helpful team, pretty expensive, took 20 minuets I get the food on the table.
In general I recommend this place for kebab and fresh pides
R. M.
Cheap, BYO, Cash only and great kebabs and pides is the best way to describe Sultan's Table. We've been going to this family run restaurant for years and it's always great. I'd highly recommend the Shish Kebab, Sucuklu Pide and a combo of dips. This place isn't fancy (don't go in expecting stellar service as the wait staff are constantly under the pump) in anyway but it's definitely worth checking out
E. W.
Great turkish food selections. Plenty of good options including mixed dips, meats & breads. Relaxed outdoor back dining area with Turkish ambiance. Casual dining.
S.
The pide and kebab quality is absolutely top notch. It is pricey but tasty. The mess a small order detail almost everytime but the food is still so good u talk yourself into being satisfied.
D. M.
My favourite restaurant on Enmore Road!
Huge serves and great prices. Go in at lunch time to watch a lot of the food being prepared by hand or order and pide and it's made right in front of you. Popular spot to dine in or take out and remember that it's cash only 💰
K.
Came here on a busy Thursday night. Ordered the meze dip and chicken pide. Did not disappoint. The dips were my fave dish of the night. Service was polite and not as bad as expected as per previous reviews. One server couldn’t speak English and had to keep redirecting my requests to someone else.. although he did seem friendly!
H. M.
Good food, though there's no salt in the chicken. Service can be a tad slow.
J. S.
This place is really great, been twice and really satisfied, tasty food and quality dips. The kebab chicken could be better though as there were some tiny bits of gristle which I've not had in other kebab shops - however the meat wasn't dry and overlooked like many other kebab places
Y.
Tasty turkish cuisine. We visit at least once every month. Bread was hot, fluffy and aromatic.
M.
Delicious food & dips love the Freshly made Turkish bread to take home. Definitely recommend it.
G. D.
Would get a 5 star if they were open until late. What kind of crazy person wants a kebab before midnight?
M. T.
Some high quality Turkish options and even better it's BYO with a bottle shop 2 doors down. Loads of great kebabs and sauces. Magical carpets on the roof. Nice marquee area out back. Easy and casual option.
G. C.
Best Turkish fare in Newtown. Have been coming here for years.
E. M.
Iskender plate should NOT be on the menu, just slices of meat and bread and sauces. Way too heavy and presentation isn't good. The rest are okay.
B. K.
I love this place. The best Turkish food I’ve ever had in Sydney. Their Pide and dips are just the best. Strongly suggesting it.
A. C.
Always consistent with the taste of the food and service. This the the 4th time at this place. This time the visit was sheer accident. Not planned.
M. A.
Whatever you order, always get the mixed dips with Turkish bread. They're amazing and even if you run out of bread, the dips go with heaps of other dishes (or you can ask for more bread!).
All the food is delicious and the service is super friendly, even if it is busy. We go about once a fortnight and it's always fantastic.
T. T.
One of my favourite cheat meals is a quality kebab and I try to get to the highly reviewed ones around Sydney in the search for the best and for me this is up there. You know it's legit when they don't toast it and they slice the chicken off the rotisserie and crisp it up on the grill. It wasn't greasy, I don't like a pool of oil in the bottom of the bag, salad was fresh and ample sauce options, I went with mint yoghurt and hot chilli. We also had a vegetarian pide with egg which was also 5/5. Not all kebabs shops are created equal and this place is a solid option, they put in the extra effort and you can taste it.
E. S.
Food is very good but service is horrendous! Used to have the best waiter ever 3 years ago but it seems that they deliberately want to treat people badly. Please get better as food served is nice
P. S.
Friendly quick no nonsense service. Great food and good value for money. Best kebabs in Enmore
A. K.
Ordered grill plates and pides.. super yum! Loved it. Definitely coming back. And for those who care.. it’s all halal!
A. P.
Ordered beef kebab roll lettuce onion tomato garlic sauce. Lots of meat which is great except it was a bit dry and lacking in taste. Garlic sauce sauce like a dip so obviously it was not spread on the pita first only one dollop in the middle top so you miss out on the evenness. Overall underwhelming experience.
J.
Been going here for years. Love the iskender and veggie pide with the lot anf hummus on the side. But remember its cash only! Otherwise you'll have to fun across the road with a full belly to the ATM.
R. G. L.
The most authentic Turkish food that I've tried in Sydney, reasonable price and excellent service
K. R.
The food taste really nice and yummy, one of the best
V. H.
Four of us ate a fabulous meal at the Sultans Table last night. Sooo busy and queue was up the street but the head waiter, Faizel, looked after us with excellent customer service. Delicious dips and Turkish bread, vine leaves, cabbage rolls and meat dishes 😋 If you don't mind crowded eating to have top food, this restaurant is for you!
M. D.
One of the best turkish restaurants every eaten.
Going there since past 8 years.
The main item on the menu I love the most is the chilli dip with hot baked bread.
The cost of dinning in very high as compared to take away.
M. G.
Well prepared food. A busy restaurant that have a small amount of seating
S. H.
Amazing food. Cheap and cheerful. They're finally no longer cash only.
K. R.
Really good food, especially the grilled meats, fresh bread and dips. We loved this place so much, last time we moved of the criteria for where we wanted to live was within walking distance of this place. Fast forward to 2020 and I am now giving a three star review as the prices have gone up dramatically, for example a mixed grill costing $49 which is way to expensive and means it’s no longer in our regular rotation :(
B. F.
Excellent food, delivered quickly. The dips are simply amazing, you MUST get a mixed dips if you’re dining with friends. The staff were very accomodating of our dietary needs.
M. E.
Great food. The young waiter is doing a beautiful job.
J. K.
Long time walk in customer, always asked for chili sauce. Ordered delivery tonight and not an option to add chili sauce but meal turned up with it. Have had delivery a few times before - great service to connect it and throw some chili sauce on. Thanks Sultans Table.
A. D. F. J.
Wow, what happened to Sultan's Table? This place used to be the go-to for good Turkish.
We ordered four pides and adana kebab recently. The beef mince and diced lamb kebabs were verging on bland, and the sucuk number wasn't great. The dough also wasn't always great, quite tough and overcooked in some bits. The spinach and egg pide however was lovely.
The adana kebab was, again, verging on bland - more salt and more pepper paste needed! The pearl barley it came with was also bland, and the salad has no dressing whatsoever - even a squeeze of lemon would've done wonders.
Overall, disappointing. I doubt we'll ever come back.
B. C.
This place is great! Food is great service is great, but guys, you need to remove the white paper wrapping around your kababs, everytime i eat, i always eat some ahahahha
K. S.
amazing dips and kebabs and the best falafel I have had in Australia
M. P.
In a group of 4 go for the set menu, so worth it in value and quantity. The flavours are really wonderful and food is always fresh. the standouts for me on this visit was the Cheese and Spinach Pide, so yummy and the beef Iskender plate divine. Chicken and Lamb skewers also delicious. It can get noisy with so many people but everyone is there to enjoy the food and have fun.
R. P.
Total 5-star. Great food with home-made touches, very friendly and helpful staff, in an authentic atmosphere. We sat the tables opposite the oven and got to watch the baker's masterful work while having our Guven stew, dulma and side platter of yugorts. When checking out, the owner spoiled us by offering two bowls of fantastic rice pudding for desert, on the house! We'll definitely be back.
B. E.
I love this place, the food is fresh and delicious. It’s open late. If you’re there near closing time they sometimes hand out free bread. The potions are huge! And the staff lovely. I recommend the dips and the spinach and cheese pitta. They started taking card payments recently, yay!!
I will say it’s a bit noisy at night - if you’re going with friends I’d save the conversation for your post/dinner gelato at Cow and Moon, just across the road!
O. J.
Fantastic food and friendly service. Stuffed cabbage leaves were delicious, as was the falafel plate. Will definitely return soon.
S. G.
Great authentic food! And so incredibly friendly. When I had no idea what to order, they cut me some slack and took the time to help me out. Their hospitality was a great start to set the tone for me and my friends’ very first visit to Australia. Couldn’t ask for anything better!! Thank you!!
B.
The restaurant is delicious, also the best falafels in town, I recommend the falafel kebab. My only gripe is that they don't toast the kebabs - I don't know if that has changed since the last time I was there.
m.
It's ok. $20 for mixed dips that don't even come with bread is way overpriced IMO and just kinda scabby.
Kinda ruined the rest of the meal, cause we all couldn't get past why you wouldn't just include a serving of bread with dips. Especially for $20 worth of dips.
Pizzas are also very greasy cause of low quality meat and cheese.
m.
I've always loved coming to this place. Space is a little tight but the food is always amazing whether you eat in or take away. For value I would highly recommend the banquet as it is a massive amount of food for a good price and will always have you leaving full.
D. T.
You simply can’t beat this place.
Excellent food, excellent price and excellent service. It’s a place you can take your friends where there’s something for everyone and no one will leave disappointed.
C. M.
Despite being elbowed in the head several times by a waiter as he rushed past with plates while sitting in the thoroughfare (one time so hard it left a lump - no apology btw), I've never been disappointed coming here. The food is tasty, the portions are good and it's reasonably priced. The staff are efficient and rushed and this can make them seem unfriendly, but no one has ever been rude to me.
It's an institution of Enmore and you really should go If you get the chance... just beware sitting in an isle lest you risk concussion.
C. H.
I've been going here regularly for at least a decade. Vegetarian pide with the lot and side of their baba ganoush dip is the best combination imaginable. Always friendly service, one staff member (Tariq) is the most lovely and friendly guy there. Always clean and great atmosphere.
B. S.
Love this place. Especially if you've missed a meal before a show at the Enmore.
Large servings great flavours wonderful staff and the right price.
K. S.
Love this place..I'll happily travel over half an hour for the best budget Turkish food in Sydney... choose a PIDE, and don't leave without dips and their fresh baked bread.
J.
This place is conveniently located near Enmore Theatre and a great place to go after a show. They have lots of seating so you're more likely to get a table here without waiting too long. Service is pretty good, if I recall it was cash only. Good for a well priced, casual meal. Serving sizes are generous.
L. L.
Local favourite. I usually get the dips with freshly baked bread, a mixed grill plate and pides and have never been disappointed. The setting inside the restaurant could be improved but the value of the food is incredible.
A. E.
Food is always good, love the mixed dips, well prepared meats and freshly baked Turkish bread.
Service can be a bit hit and miss. The venue isn't air conditioned and is quite hard to navigate through a tightly packed entrance.
D.
Majority Of The Time The Food Is Really Good But There Are Days When It Can Be Worse Than Usual
T. P.
Always like to stop in at the Sultan's Table after a good hike at the London Street Botanical Garden. Good food, friendly staff, jolly atmosphere.
M. L.
I couldn't agree more with the review by Kerry Rawlins. We have been going to Sultans Table since they opened and would get home delivered at least once a fortnight. They were great, good food, good service and good prices, and I told everyone I knew about them. BUT... their recent price increase is just crazy. What used to cost us $50-60 would now cost $80-90, some items have increased by almost 50%. Not sure if its the "Enmore effect" or the Covid 19 situation, but it's just way too expensive for us now. They've been great over the years so we wish them well, but we're out.
R.
I came here with 4 other people and we ordered the banquet for $39 per person. The portions are very generous and in the end we couldn’t finish it so had to doggy bag some home. The dips and bread come first, there were 6 different types all of which were delicious, then followed by cheese pastries and the skewered meats. The interior is nothing special but that’s not why you come here.
J. S.
Went there for dinner last night and was not disappointed. The food was fresh, portions were generous and staff were friendly.
The pides came out smoking hot, perfect to combat the winter chill. Eggplant pide is a must. Will definitely be back.
E. M.
I have been going to Sultans for over a decade. Whilst the service can be occasionally gruff, I can understand the strain given how immensely popular the venue is. The food is consistently satisfying and generally quick, and it suits a party as much as a foil to a big night out. Thank you Sultans, don't ever change.
L. M.
Normally it's a great eatery as the scores show. However I visited in December after work with a friend and I feel that we were not treated as well as usual.
The food was lovely that we ordered, except the Tabbouleh. I was expecting a lovely plate with parsley, tomatoes, garlic, lemon juice possibly some bulgar wheat and mint. This was a plate of parsley chopped and a few tiny pieces of tomato! I suggested to the waiter that it wasn't as expected he just said it looked fine to him.
I'm sure that many people enjoyed their meals that evening we didn't.
Not really impressed not sure if I'll bother returning.
M. A. C.
One of my favorite Turkish restaurant in Sydney and the reason is, I can enjoy my meat and my vegetarian friends can have pide with different varieties of sauces.
The place is always full over the weekend so highly recommend to book in advanced else you will be standing for half an hour at least. Also, the seating arrangement is haphazard and hard to sit for longer duration.
Food wise 5/5 points coz of the quantity and quality. Everything is super fresh but service wise 3/5 coz sometimes it took ages to get your food. Price wise it is also expensive and you need 25$ per person for sure if you are foodie like me.
Highly recommend to try their kebab and different sauces.
Z. L.
Love it, Very delicious food and great atmosphere.
Despite them being extremely busy we received one of the best customer service we came across in Sydney
D. N.
Some of the better kebabs around this area and for much much better prices. The meat portion is generous and has a bit of crisp to it whilst remaining juicy and the veges taste pretty fresh. I recommend the garlic and the homemade chili sauces to compliment the done kebab, and the baklava is not a bad choice either. No jalapeños, but you can also ask for fresh chili if you want a bit of spice :)
B. W.
This place is heaven. Bring some cash because it's CASH ONLY. It's not super flashy or fancy and it doesn't pretend to be. The shopfront is takeaway, and the back looks like someone's carport converted into a restaurant. But the food. Oh the food. It's just so good. Sweet sweet carby goodness. Dips are AMAZING. Just do yourself a favour and go when you're extra hungry. Bring a few mates to share with.
S. A. W.
This restaurant looks a lot larger on the inside than the outside. It was quite packed with a great atmosphere. The chicken pide is good and amazing dips. My favourite was the beetroot dip! Would recommend it, although be careful with making bookings. I had a booking for 9 people yesterday and they moved us twice because our booking was only from 6.30 to 7.30pm. Highly recommended though.
K. G.
Food was above average, service was terrible.
J. O.
Really amazing food for an unassuming little place that looks just like an everyday kebab shop ... but they really do have well above average turkish eats ! Really friendly family run business service, very homely, the folks who run this place really take pride in what they do. Amazing pide, superb dips, everything else just looks so darn delicious too, will definitely be back !!!
A. K.
This place is packed to the brim. There's tables out front and they've created a room out back as well which doubles the size of the place. As a result it does get noisy and seems very hectic with the staff shovelling out the food at a rapid pace. Ignoring that, the food is very tasty and comes in very large quantities. This is a place to stuff yourself with lots of meat, bread and sauces. Great place to have a meal with a party of friends.
S. R.
One of my favourite local spots. Delicious food made with love (and big portions). Lively, chaotic atmosphere. The staff are real characters. Great to sit in and enjoy the fun, equally as good for sneaky take-out pidé.
P. S.
Have been before. Group booking, so ordered the banquet. So much food and the service was great. The food was sensational but could have brought the food a bit slower so we could have a break but overall a great experience.
A. C.
Excellent food, great service, and a very competitive price. The Pide was to die for and the bread was delicious, warm, and garlicky served with some delectable dips.
F. R.
Come here for their pides and grilled meat, you will not regret it, they’re one of the best in the business, and have been for a long time. Atmosphere is not great and service can get a bit iffy, but overlook those and the food will not leave you disappointed.
J. F.
I've only had takeaway. Always good and fresh. Great homemade cabbage rolls and falafel rolls. Vegan options
M. C.
This is an excellent place to visit if you are hungry for some good food at a reasonable price. There is a good selection of varied Turkish food available. The front side caters mainly for take-away but there is a large restaurant area out the back with windows that can be opened in Summer and with cosy gas heaters in winter. Service is sometimes slow, but that is no problem if you want to enjoy your meal with friends in a leisurely manner. Very good value.
A. P.
The food, wow, the food! And ultimately, that's why you go to a restaurant right? But the service, oh the service. It's horrible more often than not. Don't ask to alter something on the menu, or request some change if you split a bill. The staff is moody and unfriendly every time. To them I say.. Chill out, and know that there will be alterations sometimes. Don't be a jerk please. As patrons, we notice, and we talk to our friends..
P. B.
Top shelf Turkish cuisine & service. Staff & food are fantastic. Best mixed grill you'll find in Sydney & the crunchiest most delicious falafel too. The Sultan knows how to cook
M. C.
Delicious Turkish food at reasonable prices. If you've ever driven down Enmore Rd and wondered what the delicious smell is, its this place. The Adana and Shish cooked fresh on their charcoal BBQ in the front window, the kebabs and other rolls, the Iskender, the pide, the dips! Its all delicious! I have not had a bad meal here and have never been disappointed with the service. Always bustling, even on a Monday night, yet the service is always fast and efficient. A meal for 4 people is easily under $80, and everyone leaves full to the brim. BYO. Delivery. Whats not to love?? Highly recommended!
L. V.
Was alright, had to wait 5 minutes for a menu. The bread and dips are great but the meat was a bit meh, went during a busy time so the food might have been rushed. Worth a try.
J. L.
Great kebabs, amazing dips and the pide was really good, it was the highlight of our meal. What I like about the place is the dine in options look pricey, however the quantities were pretty large. It’s BYO too!
E. L. M.
The food here is unbelievable. Its tasty, fresh - a party in your mouth.
The service - if you go before their peak periods the service is outstanding. I love this place but I always come here when its not full :-)
S. P.
Lovely fresh food.
Great vibe, friendly service by the Turkish gentleman 😋
Ready to serve 😊
J. X.
Yummy turkish foods and friendly service. Busy restaurant 😊
S. K.
I had lunch there yesterday and I have to admit the food was great, and I have to say that I do know my Turkish food. OK the place was a little tight but who cares, we go there for the food.
All the meats were very lean and tasty and the Pides were great as well, the only problem is that we all ate too much as it was so delicious.
As a matter of fact I just edited my review from 4 to 5 stars after having a terrible experience at another Turkish place and realised how good Sultans is.
C. S.
Awesome food! I always enjoy coming here
J. B.
Delicious food, charcoal meats, pide and dips in an unpretentious environment - have loved going here for years. But my biggest gripe with this place is a formality which is becoming more annoying with each passing visit - being the lack of eftpos facilities which in 2017 is surely misaligned with most customers expectations?!? Have been to many a group function where a convoy has to trudge down the street post meal to get cash. The service is also hit and miss. So I would actually give this place 3.5 stars - but can only seem to give whole numbers, so 3 it is.
A. L.
We had a group booking and they managed our large size and orders very well. Portions were unfortunately small, but perhaps that may have been due to our party size. We ordered the large dip platter that comes with bread, but ended up order 4 additional bread baskets per platter.
S. D.
Some of the best Turkish food I have ever had. Literally cannot fault it. The only thing that I didn't lile was the outside doing area which was so congested and crowded I kept getting bumped into.
This can be avoided by not getting seats in middle. But stick to outside tables in area.
Amazing food!
M. C. (. M.
eat in meals are way more expensive than take away. also it's CASH-ONLY. i recommend the take away shish-kebab. they make their own bread and cook the marinated meat over hot coals. very very delicious.
R. L. H.
I've been to a few Turkish restaurants before in Sydney most notably Pasha's and Ferah which were both very stingy on the food and high priced. I was expecting the same thing here but I was proven wrong. For what you pay they give you a lot of food and it's very nice. I would definitely come here again.
S. Z.
Well, I decided to have a dinner because most people recommended me as one of the best restaurant "must" try in Newtown. The food is quite yummy but the time to serve was taking so long even it wasn't a busy Sunday. 🙈 not really satisfied enough.
M. A.
The Sultans Table sits at the trendy end of Enmore road. While the service is sometimes abrupt the food is always top notch. Their pide, salads and dips make a visit worth while. It gets pretty busy in there so you may need to book at peak times. Try their baklava when you want a special treat.
D. L.
Food was very good and came pretty quickly. The pide was very good and had a lot of meat/cheese/egg inside. The adana was also delicious and I loved the salad. The chilli they gave with the plate wasn't spicy though.
A bit pricey compared to some other turkish places especially out west. Probably due to higher rent.
Open late which is good. They only take cash though.
V. G.
Amazing Turkish food! Not a big fan of dips, but loved the meat dishes! Nice outside area with Turkish decor, would totally recommend for Turkish dine in, or take away.
E. W.
Sultan's has a fantastic range of vegetarian and vegan options and is always fresh, delicious and speedy. Takeaway or eat in options but it's always super busy on Friday and Saturday nights. Parking is tricky so better to leave the car at home. Cash only but there is a bank across the road.
A. P.
Their other food is pretty good and all but it’s the kebabs you should be focusing on. We’ve compared across Sydney and also also Istanbul itself and nowhere anywhere is either if these cities does anything close. These guys just make the unequivocally best kebab anywhere. The bread is sits and freshly home baked and the fillings are delicious. I wouldn’t dream of byying a kebab anywhere ese within a half hour radius.
A.
One of the few places of interest to us open after new year's day, so it was busy. But the food was great, good value as service and serving sizes were a good match for the price. The resteraunt was quite loud, but cherry.
J. C.
The people complaining about this restaurant have an entitlement problem. It’s really great food at very reasonable prices. I take the family here regularly. I couldn’t say enough good things about this place, it’s great! We love it.
A. M.
Great service. I particularly recommend the harams treat and the sultans special pide, the mixed dips, and the mixed grill. Lovely outdoor and undercover courtyard dining. Once of my favourite dining spots in Newtown/Enmore.
M. C.
I loved this place. The food is always so good and the guys there are just so kind and welcoming. Sue and the boys do such a great job. Went there again recently and it was total disappointment they food was not that nice and the service was bad the guy didnt even speak English!! What's going on??
R. S.
Normally customer service is ok but at times can be rude !!!!
R. L.
Food is excellent! Dining in is definable worth the experience and although takeaway food is equally amazing, it’s a little confusing what is still available and when you need to pay. So my tip for takeaway is to order a roll, pay when you pick it up, and eat on the street.
M. L.
This is a great place to drop in on a late Friday night after the movies, the food is good, affordable and the service is quick and friendly. The ambience is good and central to the hubs of Newtown where public transport is convenient. One of my favourite middle eastern takeaway or dine in eateries.
S. H.
Excellent meat dishes and the chilli dip is the best! The portions are big, and it's really good value for money. For large groups, get a table out the back.
T. L.
The dips! The delicious food made up for being greated with "you must leave in an hour" even though we were the only two patrons present at the time. Ambience is not great here - bright lighting etc. Love that it is BYO.
E. F.
There is never a disappointing moment when dining at Sultan's Table. Service can be a little scrappy, but the food makes up for it. Definitely worth the trip to experience an oasis of deliciousness. Peace out
T. N.
I love the food here. Try the doners, the dips and the stuffed vegetables. All really yummy. It's fun to go in a large group and share the food. The food is delicious but the service aren't very friendly.
w. x.
Great little place serving excellent Turkish food. I loved their Pide, especially the chicken pide ! Be careful not to order too much food as the servings are slightly bigger than what you normally expect. Its also BYO so you can bring your own wine and drinks !
R. R.
Couldn’t easily be 5 star ratings but the staff member that served me had about as much charisma as week old cabbage...on a positive note I got possibly the best damn chicken kebab I’ve ever eaten!
C. G.
This place has really delicious and affordable Turkish. It was really busy the night we went but the service was very good to ensure we weren't waiting too long. Get the plate of dips but you will need extra bread!
a. s.
Deliver on time, food hot and good quality. The mixed grill is great value and the bread alone is five star
S. H.
Foods are great. It's so crowded and popular so make sure you have reservations before going there. I love the dip dishes, pide, vine leaves and cabbage roll.
L. K.
Delicious Turkish food in a simply set up, but friendly restaurant! Buying a loaf of their freshly baked Turkish bread to take home is a MUST
M. C.
What a nice little place. They serve heart-warming food home-cook style served in a nice and characteristic ambient.
Portions are huuuge so I suggest you to gather a few mates, get a few plates and feast!
My fave is their Sultan's pied, with lamb cheese and egg! Also make sure you get their large mixed dips with some turkish bread to start the party!
Last time I checked in it was at lunchtime during the week and the place was pretty busy.
So I suggest to book in advance if you're planning to go over during the weekend!
P. T.
You can't go past the plate of dips and bread in this establishment. The multi-coloured display of home-made delights is the perfect way to start your dining experience here. Though it is always bustling with people, you can generally guarantee a seating if you wait 5 - 10 mins. The staff will respond to your requests at a great fast pace. Situated near to the Enmore Theatre its a great option for pre or post show meals.

Food is good in general but for the price is not a good value. Couple of times I've been there the quantity is not that much in some plates. Probably the best food we've had there are the stuffed vine leaves and the pide. Other con is the fact that is cash only
E. V.
This is by far the best Turkish Restaurant in Sydney. Been coming here for years now. They never disappoint. Very friendly staff. Best value for money.
J. f. W. (.
Amazing food with really cheap prices. Used to live here for 11 years but moved 1 hour away, still always come here to get a feed every now and then as their food is just that good, never been disappointed!
L. P.
Amazing food. Just poor service. The men behind the counter are arrogant and often won’t serve you until they’ve finished their chat with friends/colleagues.They make you feel like you’re a nuisance just for being a customer. Also the cash-only thing is a joke. Again, arrogance.
H. G.
Food was great - downfalls are that they only take cash payment and kebab wraps are only available if you order them at the counter, even if you are seated at a table. Weird system and inconvenient.
T. K.
Food was very tasty & excellent value for money. Staff were friendly & prompt. This restaurant is a casual place. BYO too. 🙂
H. C.
I've heard good things about this place (from the gf who goes often) and went to check it out, seeing as I was in Turkey earlier this year.
We kind of ordered a little too much food, we got the chicken shish, one of the gourmet pide's, and turkish ravioli. Whoops.
Their chicken shish is SO good...normally chicken gets overcooked but this was a great blend of tender and juicy.
The gourmet pide was pretty good but also extremely heavy...if that's not your thing don't get a gourmet pide.
The ravioli tasted like I the one I had back in Istanbul...however the ravioli literally took 30 minutes more to come out after our first two dishes. I made a joke that no one's ordered the ravioli in ages so they had to make it from scratch...I think I was right. The place wasn't extremely busy, but the server was very apologetic.
I'd give this place 4 stars but that wait for ravioli really brings it down a star.
Definitely come here and get the chicken shish or mixed shish, but skip the ravioli if you don't want to wait so long.
F. W.
Great feed and friendly staff!! Best pide in the city!!
A. P.
Great food and I expensive. Not very flash. Good for a family dinner less so for a date
E.
Delicious food, fantastic service, highly recommend the banquet set menu for a large group.
Quite busy and a bit noisy in the restaurant seating area.
Be aware it is cash only.
L. R.
Either eat in or late night kebab; Sultans delivers honest and tasty Turkish staples in spades. The service can be quite gruff at times (i'd be too if I had to work next to coals, ovens and flames till 1am...) but they make up for it with the quality of food they punch out. The gourmet Pide's are excellent, and you can't go past the dips. The dine in area is often packed, loud and animated which adds to the atmosphere, where your BYO can be accompanied by epic portions of awesome. Highly recommended.
G. A.
Best Turkish food in Sydney, if not Australia. Highly recommend it, book your place and eat away. It gets very busy so book in advance.
V. N.
Love coming here before a show. Dips and Bread are just WOW!!!!
My pide was a little cold nut the meat is always amazing
r. b.
Kebabs here used to be good but not anymore more. Meat was burned and kebab by itself was very dry despite that I asked to put more sauce and first time in my life paid additional for extra sauce in kebab...
E. W.
This restaurant operates on many different levels. It is a small takeaway kebab shop for passers by, a cosy cosmopolitan cafe for locals and regulars and finally a wholesome family eatery with a huge outside area. The shish kebabs and mezze food plates are always fresh and tasty. My only warning would be that as most of the seating is outside it can be a bit cold on frosty winter nights.
A. M.
Great food, my favourites are the stuffed capsicum and the plate of dips served with a basket of hot Turkish bread pieces.
D. B.
Delicious great value food. The pide and Turkish breads are made fresh. Best Turkish in the inner west. There is a reason this is a cultural institution!
B.
Really good place in my local area. Highly recommend
W. A.
The Adana Kebab was so well seasoned and cooked, a great meal.
J. B.
Yum and yum! We ordered Iskander and the Harems Treat and they were delicious! Nice service, nothing to fault. Would recommend and return!
B. H.
Excellent food and atmosphere.
Prices are sensational and location is great.
Best way to get there is by foot as parking is a little difficult to get but worth the effort.
Great variety of food for all tastes.
J. C.
Best restaurant in Enmore. Recommending it wholeheartedly. It's fairly inexpensive, and all the dishes are delicious and filling. Particularly recommending the Iskender Kebab, or the banquet (only for groups of 4 or more).
E. P.
Great kebab place, well cooked and full of flavour. The customer service was also very good. Cash only, however
B. W.
Sultan's Table is pretty much a weekly staple in my diet! The dips are amazing, the bread awesome and they make the best kebab in town. Also, great for a group of friends.
P. A.
...so when decided to buy an apartment after renting in the area for some time - close proximity to Sultan's table was an actual criteria for me...! This place is absolutely brilliant.. BYO, quick service, good range of rusti delicious Turkish fast-food cuisine. Their dip plates are terrific, their Pide is excellent and that late night Kebab roll can only be matched by Saray (further down on Enmore Road). This place is perfect for low-key mid-week dinners with friends and extraordinarily cheap. Highly recommend it obviously... if you have a few minutes to kill check out the craftsmanship and skill of the Pide chefs!
B. S.
Great food, we had a group of 20+ people and everyone had a great time and were left feeling very full and pleased with the fantastic meals. Highly recommended.
M. B.
An iconic Enmore establishment with something for everyone, The Sultan's Table nails the three main requirements for a good local: delicious food, cheap prices and warm atmosphere. The food is authentic and tantalisingly good; you can't go past the Iskender (doner kebab meat and Turkish bread served with yoghurt and a rich tomato sauce) or the mixed homemade dips platter (garlic, hummus, parsley, carrot, beetroot, to name a few). It's great for family outings, friendly catch ups or even business meetings, and try to take at least three others with you so you can all indulge in the banquet at $40pp. It's BYO and, better yet, there are no corkage fees. For those on the run, grab a doner or falafel kebab throughout the day or night.
j.
I come here for kebabs all the time. The kebabs are very good. I highly recommend the doner kebab with the lot (that means everything) and garlic sauce and chilli. The pide is also quite good and the guy who make the pide is really nice.
A. C.
On a Saturday night, it's crazy busy, crowded, noisy, and chaotic, but it is so worth it! The staff are very friendly and the food is just incredible!
P. C.
Best takeaway ever and they deliver!!!
I don't think I've actually been to the shop to eat as my friends always order home delivery from them.
I'm drooling just thinking about the possibilities: mixed grill, salads.... Omg what to pick
G. A.
Great fresh food and home made breads. I went for lunch and there was plenty of room. Not just a late night munchie place. Much more.
R. C.
I thought I did report this one I went there and the food was just out of this world there was chicken meals lamb there was be there was everything to tabouli all the Mixtape so we had it was a best food I've had for ages I recommend that place anytime go there and enjoy your food and I think you're allowed to have alcohol in there I'm not sure
J. H.
Fantastic food- veggie Pide, mixed dips, lamb shish plate are highlights.
D. Y.
Loaded with style, flavour and most nights, people – The Sultan's Table is part of my staple Turkish diet. The food is traditional and showcases the strength in Turkish cuisine. Kebabs are awesome, they throw fresh bread at you to mop up all the sauces and everything's reasonably priced. Not to mention it's BYO. Yum. I try to sit at The Sultan's Table as often as I'm in Newtown...
A. W. (.
I love this place. Albeit we had a booking for 11 but only a table of ten was set up so had to squeeze in. Very crowded. But the food is good.
K. G.
The food is good ams cooked fresh especially the mixed kebabs. The bread is baked fresh and the smell of charcoal wifting through the restaurant adds the Istanbul street food aspect.
N. A.
Great food with different dips
J. B.
Amazing place to have lunch or dinner! Great food (would recommend the mixed grill platter and choice of various dips ), great service and also a great place to bring the family.
J. V.
Delicious food! Pretty well priced. I would come again for the food. Decor is a little out dated and it's cash only which was annoying to find out at the end
F.
Convenient location, decent food (I'm Arab, and this isn't too different from what I'd expect out of a home cooked meal, maybe just a little more fancy).
Pricing is also reasonable.
G. K.
One of the best experience i never had the food is amazing, definitely you should try the chicken sish. And the waitress Called " Alya " is so professional and helpful, thank you sultans table see you soon again !!!!
T. L.
Gorgeous fresh authentic flavours - Just what I wanted visiting Sydney! Generous hearty meals, family run business - super friendly staff - Thank you!
L. P.
Been going here for years. Tge.food.is always good and comes out quicly. I absolutely love the dip.platter and get it every time.
S. T.
Best Turkish kebab in Sydney
K. A.
Cash only, limited menu. Food was tasty for the most part. Service was a tad slow but cheerful. Doner kebab was really good
G. T.
this place is the best the staff are awesome I was working outside in the rain and the owner gave me a dry shirt to wear can't get much better service than that if staff can care that much about people I even purchase a kebab and they treated me as if I was a king thank you
D. E.
Have to be one of the best restaurants around.
Everything I have tried I have loved.
Just happy to get some turkish bread and there dips.
It's all about the food.
S. S.
Mixed feelings about this place. Sometimes really good and sometimes average. But always packed so that’s very encouraging. I’ll still be back guys.
M. K.
People rave about this place but I have never understood why. There are things to commend it - it’s relatively cheap, and the food is good enough - but overall it’s not great.
J. G.
The best pide in the area also there snack pack mixed meat and chips garlic sauce..
U. D.
Great tasting Adana in Sydney, one of my favourites. Best DIPS in SYDNEY!!! Bring to work quite often. Parking is not too much of an issue also.
O. T.
Sweet falafel loving salvation this place is fantastic. Every time I've eaten here it's been awesome and the opening hours are great.
B. C.
Good but a a bit pricy
P. A.
Excellent Sunday lunch with family visitors. Too much food due to the portion sizes but great variety of foods. Needed a long walk afterwards.
J. S.
The food is really good here and unlike other Turkish places like Pasha's or Ferah, they give you a lot of food here and are not stingy on anything.
E. T.
Delicious turkish food, home made turkish bread is a favourite. IMO take away is better than eat in and cheaper too!
T.
Ordered the mixed kebab with salad, tabouli, hummus and chilli sauce. The price was pretty good ($9.5). Service was quick.
J. N.
Looks like just a kebab store from the front but you can walk out to the back courtyard and it is so packed with regulars and the smell from the delicious food is amazing. Really authentic and the staff are all so helpful!
R. G.
Been here few times, apart from not being the best place for service , i will definitely recommend this place. Large quantity and good pricing still maintaining good quality and taste
R. M.
YES! Just YES! Go and eat there. Great value, humungous portions, and friendly vibe. Very Enmore/Newtown.
A. O.
Good food and service, highly recommended, eat in or takeaway , great vegetarian options also
R. M.
At least won’t recommend it for a late night visit, as you are not gonna be welcomed. Staff are a bit selfish.
But ! Food is nice
a. p.
Food and service is excellent.
J. P.
Wow. Food fresh & tasty and lots of it. Staff lovely. Value for money, great atmosphere.
N. H.
Fantastic food!
H. O.
Turkish grill meats and salad yum
N. R.
Great place to have some good turkish food and also you can bring your own wine for the dinner. Very delicious food
N. M.
The dips are fantastic, but the lamb shish was a bit chewy and a bit tough. The chicken version is better.
M.
The food is so good. One of my favourites. Absolutely reasonably priced and service is great! Highly recommended.
E. M.
A great variety of selections for salads and sauces. I ordered a Chicken Shish Roll sorry no photos I was hungry at the time 😄😉😊
R.
Had the iskander and also falafel plate. Both were amazing. Iskander was great. Soft meat with an incredible sauce.
N. P.
The staff are always nice and the food is some of the best I have ever tasted.
M. H.
Great quality food, excellent value . Amazing dips , fresh bread made on premise . Favourite
M. S.
Amazing food, especially mixed dips, great place for groups but make sure you book ahead!
M. Z.
Very busy and crowded. Not a very pleasant dine in experience. The food was not great, the kebabs were overcooked.
p. s.
An Enmore Road staple. I always go for the lamb shish plate. Also treat yourself to their bread and selections of dips.
A. C.
Fantastic food, great value for money. Well suited to big groups, you will never leave hungry.
C. P. M.
One of the best Turkish shops in the world!!!
D. H.
Great service. We had the banquet because we were a group of 10+ and everyone commented on how great the food was.
K. S.
Best vegetarian kebabs in the inner west. I will walk 20 mins down king st past every other Turkish restaurant to get my hands on the zucchini fritter roll.
C.
Excellent customer service. Fresh and tasty. You will have a solid feed here
A. L.
The best restaurant I have ever been too, the food is amazingly great with perfect turkish cuisine and not expensive at all!
D. T.
Very average food. Just go to a kebab shop instead.
M. C.
Go hungry, the lamb shish kebab was beautiful. Really friendly service. Cash only. BYO
R. S.
Very friendly staff, food is amazing & generous serving. Excellent place . Highly recommend 😁
E.
Cheap good food, what more can i say than that the meat is good and everyone should have a kebab from sultans table.
H.
Iskender kebab was good. Imam bayildi not good at all, but sarma was nice.
J. M.
Very tasty food. Good, friendly service. Was very loud out the back, though.
J. F.
I have been cimijng to this place for the last 6 years and nothing has changed. The quality of food is excellent and the owner is always there to help
L. W.
Service was friendly and fast. The food unfortunately didn't blow me away though. This was a banquet with a group
b. o.
Place looks like a take out but it does really fancy kebabs spread out on a plate. Meat and accompanyments are quite excellent.
J. S. A.
Always gets great reviews but I'm not entirely sure why. Standard Turkish food, nothing to write home about.
a. p.
We love the food there but unless you get a table outside , the place is so noisy you can't hear your own thoughts
G. J.
Awesome food large servings. Staff friendly and polite.
I. R.
Good food and reasonable service and very busy. I have enjoyed much better middle-eastern food.

Delicious Turkish food, friendly staff!!..👌👍
Recommended place...🙂
G. P.
Outside is a bit misleading in that once you get into the back it feels like a proper restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious.
M. S.
Unstated interior but outstanding food and service. We were impressed with the service and the food was delicious. Thank you.
T. G. (.
Delicious and cheap. The only issue is the service if you are there in popular hours which can degrade into near madness.
S. “. K.
Great food but felt a bit on the pricey side.
m. a.
Good food. Unfortunately they don't accept card, it's cash only.
J. E.
Unfortunately the buffet wasn't worth the money. Best choose individual dishes to get value.

I think it's a bit overrated. The service wasn't very nice and it gets loud/crowded.
