Great spot for a lunch date. Friendly staff. Yummy food - crispy Aranchini for starters, flavourful meatballs in Spaghetti Polpette and nice seafood spaghetti. Big piece of tiramisu is worth the price. Will be back for a date night to check out the vibes.

Great food and service especially by Francesca and Manuel. We had the focaccia and truffle butter, mushroom rigatoni, prawn risotto and the beef tartare. Admittedly a little on the pricey side, but everything was great and no complaints as to quality. You can probably find equally good food for slightly cheaper elsewhere, but you definitely won't have to worry about bad food here.

We had a great night at Vino y Cucina. The back outdoor area is really nice. The pizza was great as well. A bit disappointed by the spaghetti with seafood though. It was a bit tasteless and tasted more like normal pasta cooked with tomatoes, where you just add seafood at the end. I could not feel like the pasta were cooked within the seafood juice. So for $38, I was clearly disappointed but overall good experience.

Very nice venue where you fell like in Italy. The terrace in the courtyard is the best spot. Food is correct but nothing incredible. A lot of choices on the menu to satisfy everyone. The service is really quick and the waiters are friendly and careful. Make sure to have a booking otherwise you will not get a table.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and it was such a wonderful night. The venue is quaint and cozy - we loved the open air seating in the back. The food was delicious as well. Good serving sizes and beautifully presented. And to top it all off, the service was amazing. We were greeted by two incredibly kind staff members who wished us a happy anniversary. Our waiter was so helpful and all smiles. Plus, they gave us a free glass of champagne each for our celebration 😊 we really loved our time here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch Italian experience in Sydney.

We dined here and whilst the venue itself was lovely with outdoor dining at the front and a cute interior, unfortunately the food was average and quite overpriced for what it was. The food didn’t feel like authentic Italian, the pasta sauces were tomatoey and didn’t have a lot of depth. The beef in my wagyu ragù was dry and the pasta was very heavy and felt a bit gluggy. The food felt a bit like it belonged at an Italian chain rather than an authentic restaurant. There are many other Italian restaurants in Paddington I would recommend for a similar price.

We had a large booking of 14 extended family celebration. Francesca and Matteo and all the staff could not have been more accomodating, fabulous friendly service, superb food and nothing was too much trouble. Could not recommend them highly enough - go and enjoy 😊

Best italian in Sydney! The staff was very attentive. The atmosphere was very authentic and homely. But obviously it was the food that was delicious! Best pizza (ordered the mezaluna), tried their arancini, and pappardelle and, o God, was it all good! We were so full but the waiters left a dessert menu for us and couldn't help but order their tiramisu. Best best best tiramisu ever. Worth every calorie. Haha

Went in with my 11 year old and partner after school to get out of the rain and have a drink and a snack. Empty restaurant as it was 5pm.. when they open. Was told that there was a minimum spend of $49 per person just to sit down. So 150 at a minimum at 5pm on a school day in an empty restaurant. Sounds a bit silly. EDIT given it's COVID time, probably best to give these guys the benefit of the doubt... but would argue this policy is actually a bit predatory and makes people who feel a $150 minimum for 3 people feel a bit not cared about and excluded? Appreciate it's a hard time being in lockdown for so long, but maybe some signage that say '$49 minimum PER PERSON' out the front or on the website would help. While I get you're struggling... so are many people and excluding people who don't want to pay that... which I still maintain is ridiculous feels gross.

$20 all you can eat pizza on Mondays!! Different pizza slices are brought around for you to eat throughout the evening. Have as many as you want! The staff are friendly and will fill up your water without asking.

Beautiful food. Had the pappardelle beef ragu pasta and the crab ravioli. Olives to start, garlic bread pizza and finished with golden gaytime dessert. Very busy with deliveries so the service was slow. Loved the atmosphere in the area and will definitely be back.

Saturday morning I entered this restaurant and the manager greeted me perfectly and gave me a run down of what the restaurant has to offer and gave me a Mini tour. he could see that we were quite curious and pleased with the look of the restaurant. I found the manager to be exceptionally friendly and genuine and the food looked amazing. the ambience of this restaurant is 2nd to none it looks like something that you would find when you go to a 5 star restaurant in Italy itself.

My husband and I researched about 15 Italian restaurants in the Sydney area before we finally decided on this one for a date night. We do not go out for Italian often because we find it unimpressive for the price. But this restaurant changed our minds. Worth every cent! The service was kind and attentive, they genuinely care that you are enjoying your experience. We shared a pizza and pasta and each had a drink. It was wonderful! We sat in the backyard which felt like an immersive Italian courtyard. We will go back!!

I just want to say that my girlfriend and I had such an amazing experience here thanks to the wonderful and charming Francesca! She was so hospitable, lovely, kind and outgoing! If there was Anything we needed she would tend to it immediately always ensuring that we are happy with the service and food. The food there was amazing, we could not fault a single thing, such well cooked and beautiful pizzas, the pasta were also amazing too. We will definetley be returning to this lovely establishment and can only hope that the wonderful Francesca will be taking our orders!!!

Amazing Italian dishes with a real attention to detail for the individual tastes. Their pizzas are to die for. I also had their Gnocchi di Patata for takeaway once, and the sauce was hands down one of the best I have ever tasted. For takeaway the order was delivered very promptly. I booked a table for x14 (10 adults, 4 toddlers, 2 babies) for my Birthday at 5pm for a family friendly early time slot. I live locally and have been before with friends but also heard it's a good venue for kids. We weren't that impressed though. We were given a good table at the back (out of harms way with young children) and were well equipped with toys/screens to keep the kids as still as possible. The staff weren't very accomodating, no kids menus or help with drinks for kids. To be honest they just seemed rushed and understaffed and flustered by a table with kids. We kept having to try and call 1 waiter back as he'd avoid eye contact. We did a $59pp set menu as we were a big group and the food came out slowly even though we had pre ordered. 2 of the Mum's were asked to sit down when stood next to their own chairs rocking small babies. Food was nice - nothing to complain about but also nothing that special. Salads were drowning in dressing. Rating 3 stars as it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Would have been great to have had a few more smiles and a bit more accomodating service.

It was a good atmosphere but the food didn't really wow me. The flavours were lovely but a few dishes that my table ordered included king prawns in their description. We were left disappointed with the little pieces of (certainly not king) prawn pieces in our food.

We had lunch on Sunday. Both main courses were excellent. However: when asked if we want some still or sparkling water, we said still and got an open 1 liter bottle of water, turned out to be $11.00. Wine was nice house wine that came in at $50.80 for half a liter. That's $101.60 for a liter of (probably) cask wine, although nice. Basically have to ask everything carefully before you order, otherwise you overpay for what you get, mostly for drinks.

We had dinner here last night and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much since every Italian restaurant claims to be authentic and its nonnas recipe. However this place was much more than broken promises, we had a couple of delicious cocktails and real peroni red beer a selection of starters all perfect and flavourful and ordered 4 different pasta dishes all were perfection, i can not fault a single thing about this place from the hospitable service to the speed in which we were fed especially on a busy Saturday night. If i had to pick one thing, was i ordered the squid ink pasta special and it came with mussels but I wasn’t given a small bowl for the empty shells. I suggest sitting in the back before winter sets in as its as though we were transported to the streets of Tuscany.

Sunday lunch yesterday at Vino e Cucina was fantastic ! When my husband & I arrived for a quiet lunch we noticed there was a party booked in the courtyard outside so asked to be moved in, not a problem. The staff were very helpful & friendly plus the recommendation on which pizza to choose was very good. Starters of Polenta Chips, Burrata plus trout Ceviche were perfect !! It was almost too much food but we split a lovely Tiramisu at the end, paired with a glass of Chianti. Will definitely be back with more friends, an all-around great Italian lunch, thanks so much

This place is just splendid. We sat out the back this time which has a rustic Italian back garden feel to it which makes it feel very cosy. The food is great! We had the Spaghetti ai Frutti de mare and the Lasagna. Both are definite winner and I'm always partial to their Carbonara also :) The Tiramisu is amazing (definitely a share between 2 meal) and the wait staff are all friendly and attentive to your needs. This place gets busy so plan ahead!

We regularly hang out at Vino e Cucina on a Friday night to escape our children. It has the feeling of an authentic Italian Trattoria. Buzzing, but not too loud. Attentive, happy and knowledgeable waiters. Interesting and tasty menu. And a fantastic wine list. The manager, Angelo, is delightful and always ready with a wine or menu suggestion. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. We love it, And on the rare occasion we bring our children with us, they love it too!

The food and atmosphere were pleasant, but ordered a glass of house red which turned out to be over $24 when the bill came. When we questioned it the response was "oh yeah we have a 10% Sunday surcharge", as if $22 is then reasonable for house wine. I'm not saying don't go there, I'm just saying make no assumptions about the prices of drinks when you order.

LOVE the vibe of this place. There is a beautifully cozy outdoor space in the back and the front also has a handful of tables set up like a European cafe. The best pizza eating method. You pay about $25 and they'll bring around several different slices of pizza that you can try. And that's unlimited! Great outdoor ambience towards the back of the restaurant! Great for a fun date or even to hang out with friends!

This is a great place: I stumbled upon it on their "pizza all you can eat" night and left very satisfied (and outrageously full). Their pizza is as good as electric oven one can be, they served me very good beer alongside and both the service and the nice back patio were really nice. Half of the customers were born and bred Italians, which for these things is a testament to quality.

Wine list is sadly far too expensive. The wine offered by the litre etc is the house, which at $65 a litre you’d think would be lovely yet was no more than vaguely drinkable. Sadly a very disappointing night. Also not Covid friendly at all. Sorry I can’t be more positive!

Myself and my partner went to vino e cucina for the ‘all you can eat pizza’ night. On arrival we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, we chose outside as it was a beautiful Evening and followed the waitress out to the back courtyard that was actually visually stunning, authentic italian decor and wonderful atmosphere. We were seated and ordered drinks to our table, and then the all you can eat arrived, it was a case of the waitress walking around to all the tables and offering different slices of pizza one at a time. The wait between the waitress giving us both a slice of pizza and waiting for her to come back around again to offer another slice was about 10-15 mins at a time, this is why I didn’t give it 5 stars as it wasn’t really “all you can eat” we ate maybe 4 slices each and that was it, as they make you wait ages between each slice to make you feel full I think and don’t want to eat to much. However saying this I would return on a normal evening and opt for the standard menu and not all you can eat. Great location in the heart of Paddington and if you have room in your bellies after the food there are a few nice bars to visit around.

I had eaten here before at a group dinner out the back in the courtyard and it was delightful. The food was absolutely fantastically simple and so delicious, so we went for our anniversary last night. The food was really great. Only down moment was when we wanted to switch seats to find a more cosy one for our night it was a little too much for our waitress - she basically rolled her eyes and made us feel really uncomfortable. If you can't make people feel welcome then maybe hospitality is not the job for you. You will not be missed by your customers. The other wait staff were garalous and fun. I can't wait to book another group meal here. Can thoroughly recommend the ragu and the gnocchi (bet I've had in Sydney).

Was amazing, we wanted to sit outside but they advised us it would be a poor decision because it was about to rain. It did start raining and we applaud them for that call. We tried the gnocchi, arancinni and the hurray with tomatoes and it was sensational. The aperol spritz was extremely refreshing. We finished off with a lovely sangiovase! Sensational. Not sure what's changed in the last few years since I've been here (maybe the owners) but the service was really average, the pizza dough has changed from thick deliciousness to thin, and just fairly meh over, and the the entrées and carbonara were still decent. The real reason for the average review is cause they put up all the chairs and turned the music up at 9:30 and started to close while we were still eating. I get it, people want to go home early when they're finished, but like ruined the vibe, felt really unwelcoming.

For what I experienced, most of the staff are Italian and really friendly, they will be happy to recommend you dishes. So I was disappointed in not finding really authentic Italian... yes it is decent food (not cheap) but the lasagna was an anglosaxon rendition at its best, with plastic tasting parmesan cheese on top. Same with the pizza. The salad was good. I will be back and probably avoid anything with that parmesan but hopefully other dishes will be better because I love the vibe here!

Can't believe I haven't been here before; in short, Vino e Cucina is a buzzing, friendly Italian courtyard restaurant in a terrace with traditional thin base pizzas and a great selection of mains. Spaghetti polpette was perfectly al dente, with velvety meatballs, and the carbonara was creamy, rich and cheesy without being too salty. Lighthearted staff make this a great dining experience.

We came for a Saturday dinner, a busy time for any restaurant, and our experience on such a busy night can only be described as outstanding in every way. The food was exquisite, and the service friendly and professional. The zucchini flowers with four Italian cheeses were a delicious, a crunchy and a cheesy melt in the mouth moment. The twice cooked WA octopus with roasted kipfler, smoked mascarpone and salmon roe was delectably tender, and served in an impressive style with a big chunk of tasty tentacles presented on a black slate. The beef carpaccio with roasted capsicum, truffle aioli, rocket and parmesan chips was also divine. The homemade potato gnocchi with white wild boar ragu was an excellent combination of little fluffy clouds of gnocchi, complemented by a flavoursome boar ragu. The spaghetti carbonara with guanciale, eggs and pecorino was also a tenderly balanced combination of traditional flavours. The matching wines recommended by our waitress were beautifully selected and contributed to the flow of conversation and the enjoyment of the food and the bustling atmosphere. The Tagliere di Formaggi, a lovely selection of Italian cheeses was not just huge by Sydney standards, but was also filled by wonderful delicacies, served with a little ball of honey, was a little piece of heaven! Loved it. The desserts, the chocolate and mascarpone mousse with strawberry and white chocolate pearl and the orange and poppy seed pudding with salted orange caramel and candied orange were also absolutely delicious and a lovely end to a meal much enjoyed. The surprise limoncello finish was a lovely touch, poured semi-frozen like a fabulous alcoholic lemon slushy. As we watched it melt into a refreshing treat, we were flooded with fond memories of our last trip to Italy.
