Happy I can get the Tasmanian curried scallop pies here that I fell in love with in Hobart. Banjo’s guarantees 6 scallops in each pie, and indeed there are! The “house cake” which is more like a custard tart topped with raspberries is good too. Banjo’s also offer outside tables, so you can have your dog with you as enjoy your snacks. As an incentive to try them, Banjo’s has a 50% off welcome offer if you download their app and order online. Their multi-buy deals are also good value.

Lovely place for a cuppa and morning tea! Staff are very friendly too. You have to try the Raspberry Housecake! It looks amazing and tastes even better! The bottom layer is filled with custard - deeelicious! 😋

Great pies, vegetarian rolls and sweets! A charming place for lunch or a coffee. Feels so bright & clean. Prices are reasonable and the staff are lovely too. Nice Coffee. A great range of bakery items. But definite lack of staff initiative, all the tables had food spilled and other peoples rubbish, tables in disarray. We needed to rearrange tables ourselves just to be useable for 4 of us at one table and worst of all ask for staff to come and clean the tables while we stood waiting for them to come. Not a great look for an out door cafe that people walk by and decide to stop or not.

I discovered Banjo's by walking through Moseley square the other day. Used to walk around alot. Just starting walking alot up again. So, back to Banjo's! This Tasmanian franchise is delightful for five main reasons, not in any particular order: 1) They are open from 06:00 to 18:00, 7 days. (Plus open till 19:00 Sat & Sun). 2) They have a wonderful, eye catching, clean shop layout (reminiscent of Beechworth bakery Bendigo store but better). 3) good, value for money, pricing. 4) Great coffee, drinks, food. 5) Brilliant, friendly, smiling service. Because they are situated in the premises that used to host McDonalds, they don't stick out that much just from driving down Jetty road so they are easily missed to the unfamiliar or like me, haven't been out and about walking for a while. So, because of this I would urge the franchisee to consider the marketing because with the right marketing, (letting the demand know there is this supply), this bakery will be the hottest gig in Glenelg! All the best! ☕🥐🥧🎂

The food was fantastic, eggs cooked to near perfection. However… the staff and manager there could not handle the few people sitting in the beautiful cafe. We were waiting for near 25 minutes for service and were severely underwhelmed. Will not be returning.

They sell the best pie in Adelaide! Tried their xmas speciality lemon pie and it taste heavenly. The crust are crunchy and had a good texture, the lemon jam are sour but not too overbearing. And the most important thing, the heavy taste after eating pie are not there. This place is always crowded but the ambiance is good and they have seating inside and outside.

Another lovely experience at Banjos Cafe!! As I walked in I was greeted with a "howdy" and a smile. When I asked about the desserts, a worker named Sophie was very friendly and helpful. I bought an apple danish and hot chocolate - delicious!! She even offered me a marshmallow with my drink. Will be back again :)

The location is perfect. Just 3 mins walking from beach. Everything is delicious and the price is reasonable. I love the pies here and my son loves the sandwich. The deserts are not too sweet and the iced coffee is nice. Absolutely will be back again!

My family found this place by accident and what a great accident it was! Called in for a late lunch and the food was sensational! We ordered pies, sausage rolls and fresh sandwiches and everything was 5 Star quality. The pies tasted fresh, their pastry was delicious and the sausage rolls were to die for! Every staff member we interacted with were happy and friendly, you could tell they really love working here! We enjoyed our visit so much that after a couple of hours of walking around Gelnelg we ventured back for afternoon tea! My only complaint is we live so far away from this store (we're from Victoria)

Looked as though they had been very busy, miminial amount of eats available at 1.30 pm holiday monday hot pastries good quality ,flavoured pies , coctail pies, and small sausage rolls only, not much else left young staff must have been tired as they were very blunt to customer when they asked for a particular flavoured pie that was sold out , and asked if there where more being heated Wont be back in a hurry . NOTE have been to franchise in Queensland this store is no comparison ,a lot to improve to get near the mark

I'm a regular here. Staff lovely. Pies, SRs, pies are 5 star. The only thing needing attention is the very important task of clearing and wiping down tables. The tables as I write this are dreadful. My table hasn't been cleared and I've been here an hour. Covid or not, cleanliness and presentation is most important.

By far they produce great products, in particular the breads..yummy! I will continue to travel to get there loaves. The staff are very friendly and attentive, but who ever does there rosters needs to look at again. Friday morning 11am you should be able to get served quickly but they were struggling.. Such a shame..

First visit I thought it was great. I live nearby and have used them several times. The pastry on the pies is not what was expected on an SA pie, the bottom falls away if you try and eat it on the run. The sandwiches are sometimes old and soggy. Their pasties content are different but good. The place is fitted out nicely and popular.

Nice quiet atmosphere inside although maybe a little dissapointed with the custard scroll I had. The scroll I had was little bit dry on the outside and a not as much custard filling as I was expecting on the inside. I'm willing to give this place another go and try something else on my next visit. I figure the bakery is only new and deserves a chance to grow. Good thing is the place is pram access friendly and the staff were nice. Of all the places around Mosely square it was probably the quietest but we did arrive around 3pm.

Pros: Great coffee. Great Pies. Awesome Desserts. Cons: Slow service. 10 minute wait for coffees. No one was clearing the tables. If they sorted the management and staffing out (and had a single line for queueing rather than 3 lines and no one knowing if people are queueing or waitng) and actually kept the tables clear then this would be a 5* review. Banjos arent run this badly in Tassie. This could be their flagship SA store if they got these things right.

If you are wanting to have breakfast, morning tea, lunch or just a snack that is made and prepared by the most wonderful ,caring staff with the most professional manner around, you must visit Banjo's in Glenelg. We were only there for five days and made it our go to place for breakfast and lunch for four of those days. We certainly look forward to our next visit to Glenelg .
