Great selection of cakes, pies, and various goodies. The cannolis are amazing and the best ones I've had so far. Gerbino's has become one of my go to spots, and after multiple visits and multiple purchases, I can say that the staff are always friendly, the product quality has always been great and everything has been delicious! Definitely worth a visit.

There is a huge range of cakes, Italian biscuits, pastries, and more here. I had a delicious flaky crossiant and well made coffee here and got a loaf of wholemeal bread to take home. The bread was very good, with a nice crusty crust.

Love the selection of treats alongside the amazing coffee! The staff is always friendly and cater to your needs. Expect small queue's during early opening hours in the morning however not that bad. They have me hooked on their spanakopita. The quality of food is as good as italian suits!

We had a bit of time in between appointments and were already in Ashgrove so on a whim decided to stop by Gerbinos for a spot of morning tea. Our order: * Spinach mushroom Sicilian arancini, $6.50 * Pistachio cannoli, $5 * Iced coffee, $5.50 Yes that’s $6.50 for a single arancini, but believe you me that arancini was huge! I’ve actually never seen one in that size, so that was the impetus to try 😄 It was decent and a good sized option to keep me going until a later lunch. Wifey enjoyed her choice of the cannoli. The pistachio was the most expensive of various flavour options available, with the others priced at $3.85. There was a steady queue of customers buying their fill of handmade Italian bakery goods when we were there - always a good sign of the product quality!

My favourite Italian cafe. I used to visit their old outlet at New Farm. The main cafe is not the best location on public transport but well worth the effort for the huge variety of cakes and desserts! Usually there will be space for dine in customers.

Excellent pastries. Truly superb cannoli. Loses a star for the surprisingly poor quality of the arancini. The rice is pasty. This is not the way I believe arancini should be. Each grain should be distinctly separate but completely cooked through. In my view, either the risotto base has been overcooked or it has been stored too long and has absorbed too much of the sauces moisture. This is, admittedly, a tricky thing to get right but given the amazing quality of the other products here, I expected better.

We ordered cannoli spinach quiche, spinach roll, and caramel cheesecake, overall spinach roll was fantastically delicious🤤 cannoli cream inside was heavy , cheesecake was just the standard and quiche was ok. Except spinach roll I don’t think so I will order other stuff again. On the other hand staff was friendly and welcomed.

Things started a little rocky when my wife phone-ordered a mountain of cannoli (my Father's Day) only to have the young lady on the other end continuously laughing, to the point where my wife had to ask if she was actually listening and taking the order. Then, we arrived the next day to receive a box full of regular cannoli, even though we'd ordered the large. The error, luckily, was quickly rectified. Other than this one hurdle, everything in this store is great. Friendly and prompt service, awesome cannoli (I ate 5 this afternoon and haven't finished just yet!), and a great range of pastries, sweets, cakes, pies, quiches, arancini and more. As for the coffee, my wife raved all afternoon and claimed she'd drive back to the bakery solely for a cuppa, and we're a good 40 minutes away. She absolutely loved it.

If you haven't visited Gerbino's then do it today. This fabulous Italian bakery produces sublime breads, pastries & cakes. Make sure you try the Caramel Cheesecake. Their Chicken & Vegetable Pies are the best I've ever had & the Sausage Rolls delicious. Gerbino's pastry is not like commercial pastry you find in many bakeries but has that lovely, delicate, buttery, melt-in-the-mouth quality of the very best homemade pastry. The only problem with Gerbino's is there's so much on offer it's hard to make a choice. Prices are very reasonable too.

This is a local bakery I've been going to for years. They have been a life saver for so many parties over the years, the cakes are divine and always a crowd pleaser. If you're looking for a beautiful bakery with amazing food and good coffee this is definatley the place to go. Plenty of choices and the arancini is the most authentic I've come across in the area. Plenty of street parking. Fantastic sandwiches. Large range. If you love cheesecake 100% recomend the baked cheesecake - you won't want to share it.

Delicious sweet pastries. We grabbed a bunch of canollis and a few other treats. I also got a beef, bacon and cheese pie, and it was very good. Pastry nice and flakey, with good quality filling. It was only $5 too, the price a pie should be. It hurts me when I see cafes selling pies for $8 plus.

Going there today was a walk down memory lane for me... first time in many years. They used to do great pies. I was impressed the moment I walked in. The pastries looked wonderful but I wanted something more substantial and savoury. Asked for a Steak and Bacon Pie... sorry, all gone. Settled for a Steak and Mushroom with a bottle of Iced Coffee. Went outside where there were two or three vacant tables... all in need of clearing. The pie was ok but nothing special... the meat Very Chunky but no real mushroom flavour. The pastry was very thick and dry... too thick to be enjoyable. Some other folk had food delivered and the waitress took the couple of dirties from their table but made no effort to take from mine at the same time. She was gone in a flash. So... I'll go back to try their Italian specialties some time... they need to review their Meat Pie recipes though and ensure their wait staff look left and right to ensure good table presentation as they go. Gerbinos is a regular drop-in spot for my husband and self -- they do good coffee and we enjoy the fresh lunch selections. Staff very cheerful and obliging even when terribly busy. Unfortunately everyone else has discovered Gerbinos but we can usually get a table to enjoy a snack. Love their canolli - cakes amazing in the second room. Their icecream is proper Italian icecream as well.
