Comments of Le Bon Choix

I promised to myself that before I start my diet I would treat myself a beautiful 1 piece of cupcake😃 and here it is. Not only 1 but 2. They are perfect, not too sweet, and just melt in your mouth..
Z. C.
Best cakes in Brisbane. Delivers Everytime. Exciting flavours. Latte was mediocre...
J. K.
You will enjoy the the pastries and macaroons here.
Attitudes of some serving you is less than desirable.
Coffee is okay, made way too hot!
M. E.
I was here for brunch with a friend. The service was reasonably quick but the food was absolutely exceptional! The flavours, the textures, the technique in the food. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area!
D. L.
Large range of options for a dessert and/or bakery. Macarons, desserts, sandwiches and pastries as well as an interesting range of drinks (orange tea, spicy chai tea) as well as the normal hot/ice chocolate, coffees, teas and juices. All quite cheap for the appearance and/or size of the items.
Came here will my mum to get some lunch desserts and a drink.
Staff were very friendly, quick and patient.
We got the Pate A Choux (Chocolate & Hazelnut) and Amaliyah (Indulgent combination of Coconut, Cherry & Rose) accompanied by a hot chocolate and a soy mocha.
They were all delicious and very filling.
Personally I preferred to eat the Pate A Choux with a mix of everything as there was a lot of chocolate. The Amaliyah was preferable to eat in parts at a time as it allowed me to taste the flavours as opposed to being unsure about which flavour I was tasting.

Great selection of pastries! The beef pie is quite nice (if a little on the sweet side for a meat pie). Iced coffee is good too. Oddly they asked if I wanted salad I said no but they still gave me a lettuce leaf with my pie 🤷🏻. Not complaining because it was kinda nice but I just don't know if that is the salad and they just ask for no reason or if there is a more substantial salad they include if you want but give you a leaf of lettuce regardless...?
E. D.
Omg this place is a must, if you have not already visited.
Friendly staff
Amazing selection of delicious treats
Coffee was very nice
Quick service

I loved my experience at Le Bon Choix! Best coffee, delicious almond croissant and lovely staff. Thank you!
H. R.
Place was amazing! Fresh and delicious food.
Attention could be faster they took their time to bring the food to the table.
If you can improve this you are one of the best coffee I’ve ever been in Brisbane
Y. A.
a nice dessert shop in a beautiful location~
staff was quite friendly, may have been a bit stressed with the number of staff but all good~
ordered a strawberry tart, chocolate mousse cake, ice coffee and ice chocolate~
desserts were alright, not the best, feel as if they might be a bit old/unfresh which is unfortunate
drinks were okay too, we were told there was going to be cream on them but they came without cream~ we didn’t bother to ask so it’s alright~
overall a good experience~ worth a try if you like pretty fancy looking desserts🥰they are in a beautiful location though!
C. L.
My new favourite place!
Bought birthday cake for my granny, Pete was very patient and helpful explaining about the cakes. Will be back many more time!
Beautiful cakes matched with great service!!! ❤️❤️
A. A.
I am not a fan for any cakes..
But I liked the almond croissant here and the ambiance for dine in, they make good coffee as well
I believe all staff are nice and welcoming
R.
Whilst the mocha I had was nice enough, the attitude of the girl who served it when I asked for a sleeve to hold the extra hot glass was abrupt. You had run out and was told I could use a napkin to hold it. Best practice would have been to have wrapped one around the glass (like I have seen other cafes do) before giving it to me. However I know it os difficult to get good staff at the moment. I think I will stick to the Ascot store. Cheers
L. B.
Beautiful and delicious cakes. There is a small variety of savoury snacks, but no where near as many savoury compared to sweet.
The service was above average with fast turn arounds on orders and plenty of smiles.
X. C.
Great assortment of baked goods and cakes. Sufficient seating and friendly staff. Theres alfresco seating.
We ordered 2 flat whites, bacon and leek quiche, almond croissant and ham and cheese croissant.
Tasty food and they offer to heat up croissants. Great presentation and good coffee. Love this place.
My only gripe is the lack of parking.
E. Y.
Quiet for Australia day !
Lovely staff and great atmosphere.
S. S.
This is the place that marked my 18th and 21st, though the cake selections have changed since. My all-time favourite bakery in Brisbane, also served great coffee. Well balanced flavours and not overly fancy that you cannot afford – a nice treat for special occasions.
J. T.
Love the food here and the coffee is excellent, but it's not the first time I've seen flies crawling on the food. I guess they must love the food too 😅
K. L.
Awesome desserts!!!! A little pricy, the small cakes are $8.30, but taste amazing, not too sweet, the one I ordered have violet cake, cherry, white chocolate, and I believe some pistachio paste, LOVE it. Very chilled environment, toilets are clean as well. Would definitely come again.
M. J.
Lovely Cafe, great almond flat white strong coffee, mushroom pie ~ YUM! Enjoyed the music too. Thank you
M. V.
My kids absolutely adore the petit treats from Le Bon Choix. The presentation is always unbelievable and the craftsmanship does not end there. Cut open these culinary pieces of art and there are layers of bliss stacked with precision. But how is the taste you ask? Amazing! The flavours are subtle yet distinct and I haven't tried one I don't like.
P. S.
Personally I am not a big fan of Macaroons... I have had them in Sydney, Melbourne and during my trips to Europe and have never really developed a liking for them. Yesterday a friend took me to Le Bon Choix and highly (very highly) recommended that I try the Macaroons here... Reluctantly I got a box of 6. Damn... they were good! What a fantastic pack of 6.. should have brought a pack of 12. The family just loved it and so did I. Great taste and variety. Thanks folks!
E. K.
Le Bon Choix has the best cake options in CBD.
I like cakes. Not only cakes, and coffee was not really bad even their making so many kinds of cakes.
Various of cake are great!Sweet! Soft!

Staffs friendly : ★★★★★
tasty : ★★★★
Cake is best of best!!!👍🏻
Staff was very gentle.🥰
But Coffee was not good at.
There was not coffee...
Minus one star because of coffee.
(Coffee is 1 star...)
I hope to
coffee will be improved when I visit again.

The fancy baked goods here are a delightful treat, each made perfectly whether it's a familiar flavour or something excitingly new (my favourite is the Earl Grey one.) I also am always impressed with the quality of their coffee - it's lovely to find a cafe that doesn't burn their soy milk! And their bakery is great too, I love the freshness and texture of their bread. The long baguettes especially feel like I've been transported to France! The cafe itself is clean and airy and comfortable, and the staff are always attentive and helpful. Lovely.
M. A.
Love it!! Delicious French pastry croissant, macaron , tartans you name it, this place give you the feeling that you are in France🇲🇫 and very generous so aromatic coffee price wise so good for the awesome quality pastry you get, costumer service very friendly, but don't take my words for it, go and have your own experience 😀
B. S.
My husband and I love Le Bon Choix! The macaroons are made FRESH in house! I got a French vanilla latte and it was perfect. If you are in Brisbane it is definitely worth your time to check out this French shoppe.
D. P.
I consider Buttercrumbs (in Sydney) to be the best croissant artisan in Australia. When I read the reviews that this place made the best croissants in Brissy, I brought my whole family there to try their croissants. Much to my disappointment, their croissants were just a slightly better than average… coffee was just average…
K. H.
My girlfriend absolutely loves this place and their macarons are hard to beat. It’s a blessing and a curse to want to try everything but not having the space in your belly to fit it all in.
A. U.
Came in for a coffee and macaron, ended up buying a few cakes too. Wow - really impressed. Will be returning again on our holiday
K. H.
Quality cakes and coffee, gorgeous packaging, perfect for gifts or a chill place to relax and eat.
G. L.
Wow, awesome cake and a few French snacks, coffee is awesome and seemed to be ready really quick. The cakes are made the a very high standard and very fresh, I had had 2 cakes from there now, the price is a bit high for what I would usually spend on cakes but you get a quality cake which is very good flavour and presentation. The pic of the cake was side on but you get the idea.
N. F.
Large venue, so good for catch ups where you don't want to be bothered too much. Cakes and croissants are nice. Recommend checking out this place.
R. P.
Soo much eye to mouth candy here.
A must see and visit place for all your sugar and fat needs.
And they do coffee and tea, the tea isn't that good, but hey. Everything else.. in the words of my favourite European, Borat, "Very noiice!"
P. P.
Fell in love with all those colourful cakes, price is reasonable in CBD area. Drinks and pastries are pretty nice.
M. S.
Pretty decent pain au chocolat (but IMO the best is still the French pastry and crêpe stall at Davies Park Markets), the almond croissant was too sweet for my liking. Brought back a loaf of walnut sourdough which I think is good, and decently priced, too.
A. S.
Trendy little coffee and cake shop with a very European / French decor. Great selection of macaroons, and cakes with gluten free options available. For a hot snack, the gourmet pies are excellent. Friendly staff and nice views of the central part of Queens Street from the restaurant.
S. W.
One of my fav cafe in the city! The staffs are so nice and same as any dessert were yummy!!Absolutely visit there again👍
S. E.
The quality of sweets is good
Good coffee
They have to pay more attention to the cleanliness of the place
C. H.
Love their Fleur de lis and almond croissant!❤️
If you need some warming up, beat the chills with their winter warmer soup!
N. N.
Best cheese cake base I had.
J. P.
Le Bon Choix has the best cake options in Brisbane. I really love their Cakes. Not only that their Macrons and Almond Croissant are fabulous. The cafe is just awesome, I buy cakes for all the occasions from Le Bon Choix only. The flavours of cake are amazing, the softness, the sweetness, everything is just perfect, I feel I am in love with their cakes.
C. C.
Oh my...Don't go in here if your on a diet... Good old fashioned french pastry shop in down drown brissy. Really cool place to spoil yourself 😄😄
G. M.
Always a great atmosphere and friendly staff, so it's a great choice for a coffee and food. They have a wide range of very beautiful cakes and desserts, and a small selection of delicious savoury food. Highlights include Croque Monsieur (like a toasted sandwich but with bechamel sauce - delicious!), almond croissants and ham & cheese croissants.
J. D.
Whatever you do, don't get the almond croissants... I need them all for myself. This cafe is beautiful, the food is almost too pretty to eat and the almond croissants could be the key to world peace. They're that good.
B. M.
Good selection of pastries. Poor slow service.
A. C. M.
Went there on my birthday last Wednesday to get some macarons to share with my classmates and they were gone in a second! No wonder, they were incredible!!! And the girl was so sweet she made my morning with her compliments 😊
S. M.
I popped in on a weekend morning and it wasn't overly busy. The server at the bakery counter was pretty rude/unkind to two young boys who ordered before me, and was abrupt overall. The ham and cheese croissant was a mushy mess and just way too much cheese/beschemel for my liking. The coffee was nice and the barista was friendly.
C. J.
cake was great, coffee is above average, good atmosphere, suitable for meeting and catch up
S.
Le bon Choix Is an absolute lifesaver!
It was my mums birthday and I was so busy with work in the city I forgot about getting a cake.
I rang at 6:05 pm after they closed and the lovely lady with glasses picked up and said we will stay open for you.
I sprinted there and she greeted me with a warm welcome even though it was after hours and I quickly chose a cake and LE BON CHOIX SAVED THE DAY THEY ARE THE BEST I LOVE YOU!
M. T.
It’s my to go place for family birthday cakes, my personal favourite is Bamboleo. My grand daughter and I love their sandwiches especially their macaroons. The French bread are the best.
M. M.
Best cakes in Brisbane.
It has dine in area as well as take away.
No parking space for this branch.
Y. C.
The barista made me oyster this morning😂Great coffee, great service, nice environment, loved the fresh tuna focaccia too!
C. M.
Just grabbed some takeaway goodies, and they were absolutely perfect. Delicious and so pretty to look at. Not cheap, but fairly reasonably priced considering the quality. I'll be back again...and again...
s. k.
love the ambience very quiet and peaceful. perfect to come for nice coffee and pastry. The variety of cake and pastry are very tempting. I love to come here for my morning tea.
H. Y.
Clean nice place for breakfast. Bread was very crispy.
L. N. K.
Beautiful delicious pastries. Coffee was good as well.
Y. A.
Excellent variety of sweets, cute fit out and quick service.
j.
Always fresh pastries, bread, cakes and amazing macaroons. I can't remember how many times I went inside this place, spend so much money in sweets. Staff is also very nice which is so important :)
E. H.
Nothing special here. Overpriced and overrated I feel. Coffee ordinary also. Support local coffee shops rather than chains.
J. R.
Love going there. Feels like an European cafe. Great choice of gourmet cakes at reasonable prices. This time got myself a jam donut and espresso. My second choice is Apple Danish. Difficult to find a jam donut these days. They stuff donuts with all sort of things but not with jam. Was delighted Le Bon Choix offers a normal donut. Beautiful surroundings with a large tree (A fig tree, I think) and a monument to Thomas James Mooney who died on March 25th 1877 fighting a fire on Queens Street. The place is ideal to have a break while walking around Brisbane CBD...
김.
Nice colourful cake! Staffs in take away cart are very friendly. Great weekend spot.
m. g.
The cakes were superb, not to mention they looked very pretty! Lots of options and you can choose the whole cake or if you want to taste everything you can get single serving of each flavour! They have lots of seating inside and outside :)
M. M.
The best choice for breakfast..you must try the almond croissant its the best.not cheap 💔
M. O.
Delicate, delicious pastries and professional staff.
They offer individual cakes, pastries, macarons, sandwiches etc to treat yourself and special occasion sized ones too.
M. Q.
Beautiful ambiance and pretty cake! Coffee is also good!
N. H.
Absolutely amazing food and drinks and super service
O. M.
Nice place to have coffees and dessert. Outdoor seating is atmospheric. Coffee is good.
T. H.
Amazing pastries. Loved every single one out of the four we chose plus five macaroons.
K. L.
This place is amazing! Love the treats and the Nutellino is a must try! Not overly sweet too especially for a mocha hater myself and I thoroughly loved it.
J. M.
Truly amazing coffee and spectacular cakes. The mushroom quiche is out of this world.
D. E.
Exceptional food and coffee. Very well presented. Beware of sitting inside, the temptation of all that amazing looking food may prove too much.
F. B. (.
Super friendly, genuine service with fantastic, hot fresh coffee to go!
Amazing, beautiful and superbly presented mouth watering donuts, cakes, pastries, pies, freshly baked breads and the original classic French Macarons!
Well done guys, a fantastic effort...
n. j.
Love this place. Often I go this place to have a chat with myself in morning. Either you can sit in the shadow of tree or sit inside and virtually connect with queenstreet.
D. L.
my fave café for their cakes and nice place to chill 😊 though i noticed an increase on their price
a. p.
Great coffee, great location, great service and value for money!
P. T.
Had a macchiato and an almond croissant. The macchiato was just as strong as you want it to be, very well made.
The croissant, was incredible. The Lady that served us was very polite and professional too, all in all a great place for a quick bite.
b. n.
It was just alright. The sweet potato soup was great for a cold days

My absolute favourite bakery. Don't try their almond croissants they are lethal and very addictive.
G. A.
Afternoon visit after an appointment. Caramel slice was delicious. The coffee was dreadful. Two out of three of us Drank a couple of mouthfuls and left the rest. Unfortunately I won’t be back.
A. M.
I really liked the cakes here. The savoury food is good too, like the baguettes. However the cakes are much better. This place it’s a sometimes place for me because of the price. The donuts are so amazing, light and fluffy. You can order coffee and other hot drinks. I get m orders take away.
S.
I come here annually during Christmas time and always enjoy the vibe. Had a great chai latte, unlike alot of other places it wasn't overly sweet from syrup. Given that usually you pair your drink with something sweet from their delectable range of desserts, this balances out well. I had the Malibu macaroon which was on point! Lovely atmosphere, excellent French dessert. I do enjoy.
Z. J.
Everything was amazing ! Best coffee and cake!❤️😍
K. O.
Can't deny it's a nice brand, having nice food.
However, the management has to be improved.
Desert always delaying, and staff always looks confused what they are going to do next. (The one in Gold Coast).
N. L.
Beautiful selection of cakes that look almost too good to eat. But I somehow manage. Though I usually end up there for a quick weekend breakfast rather than cake. My favourite is the flaky chocolate croissant with a latte while my DH enjoys the quiches. There are also baguette sandwiches and some home made bread loaves available.
A. M.
The best almond croissants bar none. Do your self a favour and get some in you.
F. L.
I love a good coffee and cake for afternoon tea and there’s no better place for that than here. The cakes are both delicately refined and delectable. Try the bright blue one it is a winner! Also they do a very indulgent almond croissant with very generous amount of filling.
I. R.
At Pacific Fair- Lovely place for coffee and cake, Such a beautiful atmosphere . They don't do table service though, but we expected that. Our customer service was great ;)
A. D.
The crew love the almond croissants here and they are definitely next level good. Heaps of delicious pastries available. Coffee is ok, and service fine, not great hence the 4 stars.
W.
Expertly made French style cakes and pastries with beautiful flavours and textures. There are individual or large cakes, a wide range of macarons and pastries available to takeaway or eat in. The cakes are spectacular and a feast for the senses. There are also savoury items like quiche, filled baguettes, hot pies, plus loaves of crusty bread and baguettes to take home. Consistency in the quality of the croissants has varied, but I know the climate can affect the result. I've found the coffee really not to my liking here, but their thing is patisserie, not cafe, so if you are particular about your coffee, perhaps get it from a cafe where the core business is coffee. There is plenty of seating inside, or outside under a lovely big old tree where you can watch the world go by.
S. G.
I’m a big fan of their cakes I’ve had many over my time.. their sandwiches and snack menu are also great... Just wish they knew how to make coffee. One of the worst coffees I’ve every had. Not the first time that I’ve had a bad coffee from there. But definitely but you snack and cakes from there and in the alley way behind there is a great hole in the wall coffee shop
L. C.
What a lovely French cafe and patisserie. I have walked past dozens of times but in future I will be going in! Lovely coffee, a simple croissant is delicious (fresh one, sold out by 10:00am). And they do macarons which I love too. Really nice staff and round the corner from my favourite bookshop, perfect!
D. K. (.
A 3.5 star place, truly. The cakes are wonderful; though they are all very soft and moist, and the savory food is of very high quality. But the coffee is bad, and slow, and this is pretty unacceptable really. Go for the bread, buy a cake if you like pudding, but avoid the coffee.
T. W.
Open on ANZAC day morning (surcharge of 15% totally worth it!!). Thank you for an amazing coffee.
K. K.
Delicious fresh French food - a great niche little French patisserie and cafe in the Eagle St Pier vicinity.
The food may be a little pricey, but the area it is situated in is normally of the higher end mark. The difference is this little cafe provides deliciously fresh French pastries, a variety of quiches, and then Turkish or salami salad rolls on fresh large baguette bread rolls and other similar bread.
I like to splurge here once a week or so as the food and atmosphere are just so nice and relaxing, it's a great place to go to away from the work desk and busy environment. And some mornings but myself a delicious almond croissant.
F. G. (.
I'm crazy about this place! So much so that all staff know me. Almond croissant and chicken ciabatta (sometimes issues with consistency) always runs out with good reason. Their cakes are inventive, unique and out of this world! Donuts are incredible and the croquet Monsieur when done right is creamy, toasty, and yummy (a few months there where it was over toasted and dry). 5 Stars as you can't beat this place and the musical staff "bonjour" welcome!
E. P.
Want a touch of Paris? This is the place. They have all the pastries you could desire here. Some are so rich you can share one. Choosing just one is the hardest part.
P. F.
Le Bon Choix is an institution in Brisbane for amazing French cuisine. The staff are very friendly and the food is really tasty. Nicely laid out restaurant where you can see most of the food to help with the ordering process. Coffee's were well made and the food was very enjoyable. Something nice to treat yourself to surrounded by a lovely part of town.
R. S.
Yummo. Very french. Super tasty. HighlyReccomend
J. M.
Following a low quality experience at the Edward St location yesterday, we stopped by on our way at this larger store of Le Bon Choix, following some recommendations from local friends. The manager listened to our poor experience at the other location, and made it right to us. All the macarons there were fresh, had good texture and taste. The 2 pastries were tasty too.
Y. L.
It's one of my favorite bakeries. Their breads and croissants are delicious. Not to mention, they make the most beautiful cakes that taste great too.
B. S.
Great service and fresh baked items. The taste holds fresh ingredients. Cinnamon rolls were delicious and icing was not too sweet but generous.
H.
Beautiful cakes and nice staff
H. E.
Ordered soup on Thursday. Sweet potato and capsicum. Nice flavour but not even lukewarm. Not exactly what you want on a cool Winters Day. Disappointing. At least the coffee was hot !
A. T.
Amazing pastries especially the almond croissant, awesome bread, very good cakes/tarts etc but very average coffee which is what is missing to make it the perfect breakfast place. Recommended for everything except their coffee.
J. M.
This place is a paradise for sweet lovers. Best cakes in Brisbane! Highly recommended
P. B.
My absolute favourite bakery. Don't try their almond croissants they are lethal and very addictive.
C. H.
Prompt and friendly service. Great spot for studying. Ample seating and tasty coffee. The almond croissant is delicious. They also do an amazing job with their cakes!
E. C.
Upmarket French style patisserie on the corner of Queen street and Eagle street. They specialise in decadent cakes, macaroons, and other pastries but there are also sandwiches and quiches on offer. The cakes are fabulous looking and underneath a glass case, similar to a jewellery shop. You can also buy baked bread to take away.
There is full table service for dine in and outdoor seating facing across onto eagle street pier. The coffee setup for take away needs to be re arranged as it’s confusing and not entirely clear whether a customer should go inside the shop to order or do it from outside on the pavement.
Expensive but worth it.
F. W.
I love this place, good coffees etc but I'm gonna complain just because I am intolerant to the milk and they don't have vegan options like vegan cake or something like that, In my opinion and my advice is we are too much people with milk intolerant and we need dairy free options, please please. Thank you
B.
We ordered a pain au chocolat, 1 croque monsieur and 1 almond croissant. They were not over price. But the croque monsieur was pre-made and reheated. So it was sooo hard and it shouldn’t taste like this. Almond croissant was not bad, too sweet for me. But my boyfriend loved it - typical French. And the pain au chocolat was okay. It’s a chain in Brisbane I realized later. For those who really want to experience some French atmosphere they can visit here as the outside area made you feel like in Paris. But the food.....
B. S.
Excellent service and food, initially All was good until staff forgot our coffees and had to search back through orders and only made coffees 40min after we had finished our breakfast.
C. M.
Odd spot but lovely macaroons! Nice coffee too. If you can eat regular stuff, their pastries and such looked Ah-mazing!!! Very friendly staff.
R. K.
Didn't have the full range of savoury foods out when I ordered but waitstaff were friendly and efficient in bringing out our order.
Q. G.
Great french patisserie/bakery. Cakes are beautifully presented with great flavours that have different components that go so well together. Inventive and on point. Trusted cake shop for great events 💖 i rave about it to my friends
b. n.
It was just alright. The sweet potato soup was great for a cold days
L. B.
Fantastic service and delicious desserts. Taking some macaroons home for the kids as a treat.
D. K.
Nice breads, nice cakes. Most cakes are all mousse based, wish there was more variety on that. Spotted a few flies buzzing around and on the food as well.
M. _.
Best French bakery in the Brisbane CBD. This is the place where I have my weekend coffee. I like their Almond Croissant, Muffin and Macaroon. They have a wide variety of cakes. They always offer complimentary snacks, such as bread butter, fruit toast, almond etc. Staffs are lovely, polite, friendly, always welcome customers in French style as soon they step in the store.
A. G.
Very nice place and a very good breakfast
D. A.
Some of my favourite coffee in Brisbane. Sitting outside under the tree you could almost imagine yourself in Paris.
Cakes and pastries are always a winner for any office function and my 'go to' when you need a birthday cake in a rush.
Breads, rolls and sandwiches are also very good.
Service can be a little slow especially as they favour customers buying cakes over those ordering coffee. But if you're ordering cakes then you win.
You have to order at the counter but everything is then whisked to your table with a lovely french little bonjour.
F. V.
I can't imagine a bread that tastes better than a lightly toasted slice of French Battard from Le Bon Choix. Yeah sure the almond croissants are superb but you don't need one every day. Hmm, maybe.

Simply the greatest coffee and pastries in Brisbane
A. M.
Lovely staff and best cakes, breads and pastries. Great chai tea made on milk. As visitors to Brisbane we really appreciated you serving us at your closing time. Our trips to Brisbane are always highlighted with a visit or three to your shop. :-)
B. R.
Words cannot describe how good this place is. Walk through the door with a welcome bonjour your transported to a Parisian cafe and all the delicious offerings
D. C.
Delicious pastries and good coffee. Be wary of the high tables; the 2 we tried were super wobbly which is dangerous when dealing with hot drinks.
A. K.
It’s pretty good but definitely overrated, it’s quite popular due to scarcity of dessert café in CBD. It’s nice to seat outside during summer but it’s very windy around Eagle st Pier. The staffs are knowledgeable and quite attentive.
J. P.
Amazing sweets but coffee was alright. Def worth a trip.
A. F.
Best cakes ever, my favorite is lenette (the white hexagon).
W. E.
Truely excellent food, top notch, well valued and lovely staff. It’s a treat to go for lunch there anytime.
K. B.
Best almond croissant in Brisbane!!! Always crave a visit.. a must try off their menu
R. G.
Our favorite go to place when we want to eat some cake. looks amazingly good outside tastes perfect on the inside. Price are reasonable too!
A.
very good and professional staff. I go there only for the almond croissants. is not the best for having a nice cup of coffee , I tried 4 different le bon choix stores and is the same taste of the coffee. I think is the quality of the beans. The other suits are nice . the greeting of the shop Bon Jour. but when you answer in french no one will respond to u. so prefer English
B. P.
Dear God, this food was amazing.
S. F.
Just in for coffee and it was packed - for good reason. A pleasant atmosphere sitting under tree on a warm Brisbane morning. Friendly staff. Coffee was good but go there for the patisseries.
A. P.
great service, great food, what more could you ask for!! :)
very happy customer and have been for years now!
the Miroula cake is a big favourite of mine!! Delicious!
thank you for continually up keeping such a professional manner every time I visit.
M. J.
The best macaroons ever!!! Good place to relax, good cofee, strong but smooth, nice staff.
W. F. E.
This place is absolutely amazing! You really do eat with your eyes at Le Bon Choix and all the cakes are neatly lined up to entice you into devouring everything.
The Almond Crossant was so delicious and the best I've ever had. It had a rich tasting crunch and then just melted in your mouth. Best washed down with a chai latte (in my opinion at least).
The Apple Danish was also really good but that almond crossant was defintely the show stopper for me.
O. Z.
Not bad. However, far from real french pastery, and you have couple of bettee places in QLD. Pain au chocolat was under-performance, croissant aux amandes was a bit better. Coffee is Ok. probably expected too much.
M. W.
A favourite stop for many professionals in the CBD, Le Bon always has friendly staff, interesting pastries, great coffee shop in a wonderful "watch the world go by" setting.
Highly recommended for a mid-morning break.
c. w.
Very nice coffee and cakes to die for. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Will definately be back.
M. W.
Good pastries. Not very prominent. Walked pass a few times without noticing. Clean and well maintained but not very high end. Friendly staffs. Need longer open hours and a bit of bling to attract more ppl. Generally recommended!!! :)
A. C.
Great selection of savoury and sweet food for afternoon tea. The coffee here is also sweet enough for my liking however I once found a lipstick stain on my coffee mug.
J. C.
Bakery is absolutely incredible. Pastry chefs are clearly extremely talented and know their stuff. Very impressive stop in and amazing coffee!
J. S.
The best almond milk coffee I have had in Brisbane. Their doughnuts were light and tasty and far too easy to eat.
D. G.
Friendly staff, good variety of treats with savoury options, coffee was a little disappointing, overall it was a little pricey, but will return for a treat.
Z. G.
Meet my pretty girl here sweet and warm
J. H.
My favorite coffee spot in Brisbane. They even remember what I like when it is 10 weeks since I have been in...good service....always pleasant. Lovely way to start my day.
w.
Packing / The design is not bad, but efficiency is bad. Broken can see the cake if you don't see the horizontal to wrap up the cake. 1 out of 5.
Service / I'll cut it short. " cold " 3 out of 5
Flavor / 4 out of 5
Cost / Rather expensive, but not bad.
Cake- 9.8 Macaroon - 2.7
3 out of 5
C. L.
Lovely place. Donut was very messy to eat as alot of sauce is now on my trousers but luckily their black. Delious hot chocolate
J. R.
Excellent coffee in Brisbane CBD. One of the few coffee shops still open on the weekend.
I. T.
Cakes and almond croissants are amazing!!!!!!!
Coffee.... not the greatest but definitely go back just for the cakes and croissants
V. J.
Amazing cake selection and great coffees. Everything is done to perfection as you can see when you walk In. Will be back :)
C. H.
Great food. Perfect place for a weekend breakfast.
M. S.
Good cafe in Brisbane. They have variety of delicious cake and coffee. The sittings are also nice, can enjoy outside under the big tree in Brisbane or can relax inside. Service is also fast and good.
S. W.
Friendly staff and delicious cakes. Relaxing and cool on a summer's day
G.
Amazing almond croissants, rather sweet. Comfortable ambience. Very French-sounding staff, adds to the authenticity of the experience.
J. W.
It’s good but too sweet for me
J. P. (.
Great French bakery with sandwiches, coffee, and sweets! The macaroons are the best, but they are a bit hidden back in the corner. Don't miss them!
D. E.
Nice food fast service refreshing spot in the middle of the CBD
M. C. F.
You can't find a bad cake there. Beautiful and yummy.
J. C.
City cafe on Eagle St is prime. Coffee is manifique and the staff are awesome. Originally from Quebec, this place creates a momentary illusion of being back home.
E. P.
Usually the best place for fresh bread and sandwiches in Brisbane. However today they gave me sandwiches from the day before. I wasn't expecting that.
C. L.
Sandwich was not awesome. Coffee was burnt, customer service and the cakes were great though. Lovely atmosphere.
R. W.
I've been to a few different stores and the coffee is always consistently good and the caramel doughnuts are delicious. Worth checking out
A. M.
Very good coffee, and food. Quick service. Good location. All the staff can say at least a few french words and you will hear them a lot haha. Maybe too much.
m. e.
best croissants I’ve ever had. thank you for the wonderful experience.
*the macarons are really amazing also*
E. M.
So happy to have an authentic, fresh French bakery nearby. Love their almond croissants. I would highly recommend this delicious bakery.
E. L.
Le Bon Choix (Edward Street) provided the most amazing Masada cake for our celebration. It looked incredible and was absolutely delicious. We had a "full slab" which easily catered for 80 people. Thank you, Le Bon Choix!
E. H.
Best almond croissant, so delicious.. excelent food
M. H.
I love this place. I don't get in as often as I used to, but when I get a chance I stop by for the delicious treats. This is a great place to get housewarming or other similar gifts.
S. H.
Great pastry & sweets. Excellent atmosphere, with an open outdoor setting. Authenticity & sophistication is in the heart of Le Bon Choix.
K. G.
Queen St - Beautiful exquisite bakery/cafe with lovely friendly staff - please include more gluten free options :-)
D. S.
Excellent, wonderful choice of cakes, clean
Staff delightful
T. B.
I think this is the best bread in Brisbane. I love their salad baguettes, almond croissants, and doughnuts. The coffee is great, too.
S. R.
Excellent French bakery. Almond croissant, their baguettes or any of their cakes are favourites
Two locations in Brisbane CBD
S. A.
Few doors away from Brisbane Skytower so came here to grab some foods for breakfast. No panini was selling on that morning and only limited choices of breads. Good pain au chocolat.
R. C.
My favourite bakery. Their cakes are to die for and great for special occasions or a mini one for a splurge. Try the almond croissant, its my favourite
W. W.
4 star because we order 2 cakes but the waitress only gave us one spoon. Why? And she forgot to bring us another one when we asked.
K. Y.
Very good coffee. Have tried multiple coffee shops around downtown, this one is certainly one of my favorite.
A. H.
Absolutely huge selection of fantastic pastries and cakes. Will be returning again and again.
S. A.
Food is ok. Service is generally slow and somewhat full of attitude.
I don't come here unless I'm having a coffee meeting with someone else who wants to go there.
F.
Almond croissants were super nice!
S. T. M.
Croissant cheese was not the best .. was told to stand over there .. so didn't know how it works but ok. Next time use words like .. the order will be ready and provided you on the other side? a better approach .. stand over there is like I was in the way
R. E.
I used to go here all the time when I used to work at queen street. I recall the staff being helpful and possessing European accents. I was pleased with most of their offerings the standouts for me being a Croque Monsieur and Mille feuille.
D. S.
Pie was chunky and flavourful as always and the coffee was pretty good too.
M. L.
Super delish but the slowest service even when it's not overly busy
L. M.
Traditional style French bread. So good! Cakes look amazing. And almond croissant is to die for!
J. D.
Lovely spot, cakes and chocolates are great. Use this spot for business meetings. Central location
L. d. B. E.

S. B.
Favourite cafe/ patisserie in the city. Lovely place and good selection of foods and delights. The almond croissant is to die for.
M. S.
Good pastry and yummy cakes. Service was OK and not air-conned inside in Summer was quite disappointing. Coffee was passable.
A. “. E.
Great place to meet, eat and have a good coffee. The chicken ciabatta is my favourate lunch pick up and go.
L. C.
These guys have rye and sourdough options for the sandwiches. Which is great if you can't eat white bread
A. P.
great sandwiches for a quick lunch and cant go past their many high-quality cakes and delicious coffee.
J. G.
The bakery has a great selection of cakes, Danish tarts, muffins, buns and sandwiches. They are yummy.
S. S.
A lot of varieties and their cakes are all very delicious....certain flavours are slightly too sweet though imo.
W. K.
Delicious cakes. Good coffee. Great atmosphere. They need to open longer especially during summer.
S. H.
Very well presented with lots of pastries, cakes and fresh made sandwiches. No lactose free milk for coffees was disappointing.
s. “. w.
Omg. This place was the best. I could spend hours just looking at the cakes and the macaroons!!!! Omg take some time and visit this place.
G. R.
Not the best coffee I've had and the service is a bit slow. Had to remind the staff that I was still waiting for the table service. Croissant and coffee took 15mins.
J.
Slightly overpriced for what you get, but atmosphere is great. Desserts always scrumptious and nice packaging.
M. H.
Nice food. Strong coffee. Atmosphere is a bit cold but the outside area is nice
B. K.
Very very nice. Great food, great coffee and amazing desserts. However, it is slightly expensive for what it is.
R.
Lots of delicious treats. Definitely worth visiting and fairly reasonably priced considering the quality of some of the desserts.
N. S.
Service was fast, coffees enjoyed and almond croissants delicious. Would definitely return.
B. C.
The chocolate cake with layers of hazelnut, chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, white choc mousse with butterscotch chips covered with dark chocolate and dark chocolate twill was amazing. Do yourself a favour!!!
