Comments of Daci & Daci Bakers
M. B.
Everything from the location, the staff, the coffee, the food and the pastries is top notch. Parking right in front could be tricky so try park further away and walk to the cafe. The highlight in my recent trips was the Hot Smoked Salmon and creamed leek with potatoes and poached egg. Warmed my soul on a chilly morning.
C. P.
Start your day here! Warm, laid back atmosphere can just about convince you that you're at a Cafe in Paris. The extensive selection on pastries far outweighs my ability to eat. We took on the advise of our waitress and went with the popular favourites. Mouth watering savoury and sweets! Wash it down with delicious coffee and off to another day of adventures!
H. G.
Great place for a breakfast. Good coffee, very good service and very good food. Try the avocado with duck egg and almond croissant.
D. B.
Edible art in an exquisite setting.
No matter what I've selected here it always exceeds expectations and tastes as good as it looks.
Seafood tart was delicious as was lime, rum and mint chiboust.
S. P.
Relaxed Parisian style bakery, cake shop and cafe. Yummy pastries make this a great place to start off your day in Hobart.
M. E.
Great coffee, amazing food- so many sweet and savoury delicacies to choose from! Picking just one is a real challenge, they all look like works of art! Trust me you'll return many times to try their amazing creations. Love it 😍
K. D.
Coffee and the cakes are just amazing.
Very friendly staff too, very relaxing nice place to have a good coffee.
N. M.
Loved the atmosphere and food. Had tomato soup and russian salad. Would prefer the salad warm, soup was hot and tasty. For desert, was something with lime === not too sweet, not heavy, loved it. Took the salad home and bought the chocolate bomb. Last one was so amazing. Easy mousse in chocolate but tastes great.
C. Y.
Great coffee and awesome pastries. Awesome customer service

Must try. Can be busy. Good coffee. Good Pastry and dessert selection! Attentive staff. Best is they open early and near the wharf. So we had brekky here before our Mona trip and the Wellington bus tour. Prices are surprising cheap if you will compare it to typical hipster cafes around. Serving js not big but food quality is great.
S. K.
Exactly what a good cafe should be !
Efficient service and good products
Coffee was really good
K. M.
An almost overwhelming selection, amazing quality, great service
K. L.
Very nice variety of treats, really enjoyed all my visits

Love it, beautiful and sophisticated café.
All the sweets (Macarons, Pain au chocolat) are very authentic which isn’t always the case.
Fantastic cake creations!
Great coffee and friendly staff ☺️
R. H.
The perfect lunch venue or spot to indulge in one of their divine cakes and pastries. I really like their staff team. They are gracious and very well presented. Always enjoy a visit to Daci.

I can only agree with all the other reviews... beautiful & delicious! Wackadoo!

Such a charming place to eat brunch! We were attracted by their European interior and their cakes so we decided to eat in, and it did not disappoint. Their pastries (chicken pot pie, plain croissant w/ raspberry jam, apple strudel w/ whipped cream) were terrific! So flakey and light. The jams and whipped cream paired so well with the sweet pastries, and the pot pie was flavourful. If there's anything to add I would say the filling of the apple strudel was on the lesser side, so more of that please :) service was amazing and attentive; they were extremely thoughtful and great to talk to. we've bought some cakes back home to try and can't wait to dig in 😋

Not often do we go to the same place twice when we are away on holidays but let me tell you.
Three dine in breakfasts and one take away breakfast and I'd go back tomorrow.
This is am awesome amazing cafe that reminded me of a cafe I went to in St Michel in Paris, France.
Top quality food, amazing service, well priced, Gr8 range, clean, attentive staff, perfect beverages.
Sooooo goooooood.
Take me back already.

Daci looks like a tourist trap with its fancy cakes on display in the window of a historic building, but oh, those cakes and meringues are just sensational.
And the coffee is really good, and, astonishingly, it serves the best tea in Hobart.
They’ve really nailed everything here.
And to top it off, they have an amazing selection of gluten-free treats – in a bakery cafe!
Daci is in a superb spot, just across the road from the parliament, and minutes away from the waterfront and Salamanca. The street outside is busy but there’s plenty of paid parking in the streets nearby and down at the waterfront.
Staff were lovely, fast, friendly. We can’t recommend this enough.

Best patisserie in Hobart. So much to choose from and so delicious. Loved visiting daily when we were in Hobart! YUMMO!!! 🥐🥨🥯🥮🍪🍰
R. S.
Amazing bakery with a wide range of sweet and savoury options. We had a large group of 11 people and easily found a seat outside on multiple visits. Everything we tried was full of flavour and quite fresh. Drinks were also on par with the high standard set by the food. A must visit for anyone in Hobart!
O. O.
Enjoyed my time at this cafe, I had Chicken Pie and it was on the dot...they got loads of options to choose from. Exceptional service, great coffee 👌🏻 highly recommended.
Will try Desert on my next visit 🤤
S. B.
Delicious range or sweet and savoury meals. Light and flaky croissants fruit tarts, breads, eggs, etc - all yum! And coffee - worth going just for the coffee. Staff were very pleasant. The relaxed Parisian atmosphere in the cafe adds to the overall charm.
T. P.
Great service and food.
I've been here several times.
I love the almond croissant and most of the pastries. The coffee is ok, but the hot chocolate is great. If you're looking for a great coffee go elsewhere,.but this is certainly the best for pastries and cakes. Would highly recommend
D. B.
After catching up with my adult children this is my first stop whilst in Hobart.
EVERYTHING I have ordered here has been exquisite - visually and gastronomically.
Quite busy at city location although less so at Sandy Bay. Lovely ambience and helpful staff.
J.
Ratatouille with baked eggs was flavourful.
Lovely staff, efficient service, quite a short wait for orders to be served. Bakery goods presented at front look scrumptious.
Quaint menu, if you are after something a little different - this is your place.
J.
Warm and cosy atmosphere. Excellent customer experience and superb service. Some of the best cakes that I've found in Australia...
Thanks Team Daci 😍
A. F.
Enjoyable end to our holiday. Lovely baked eggs with mushrooms and sour dow was so yummy 😋 sure it’s so full of butter that I better swim home to Melbourne haha but who cares I’m on holidays!
My gf had the baked eggs with ratatouille and large coffees which was well prepared also.
Unfortunately I couldn’t fit in a cake but they looked so good! I will have to return and have one next trip.
C. C.
Great service; good range of tasty bakery goods, sandwiches, tarts and pies, all with imaginative yummy but not crazy flavour combinations. My smoke salmon on creamed egg on rye was a great, not too heavy lunch! Quick, friendly service. Nice and bright seating area. Great lunch spot.
C. C. K.
Beautiful fresh food, good service also nice presentation. The display cabinet have so much choice of pastries and cake! You can’t miss this when you visit Hobart!
G. W.
What a delight! From the smell of hot bread to the distinguished decor, this place is inviting and appealing. I had the Continental Breakfast and added some bacon and it was all delicious, very filling, and better value than my hotel. I thin chose some things from the counter to take away and enjoy later. Definitely a place you must try when in Hobart.
J. P.
Ordered the croque monsieur + huon aquaculture smoked salmon, fried duck eggs and brioche + smoked salmon, caramelized onions and spinach tart. They all tasted delicious! Also, The staff were friendly and prompt. A great place for breakfast.
N. S.
Went here for breakfast and were impressed by variety of cakes. And they actually tasted as good as they looked. Just delightful! Salmon sandwich was over any praise as well. Apricot danish was not that good but nothing could be perfect. Service is very nice too. So well deserved 5 stars:-)
H. T.
Breakfast. The pastries look wonderful. Alas the spirit is willing but the tummy is not. I had the Eggs Florentine. A croque monsieur, Huon salmon on brioche and a chicken n leek pie. All good. Can’t wait to come back for the pastries. #maneklady #manekeats #manektravels
S. K.
Accidentally came across this place.
The cakes themselves looked amazing.
My partner ordered the roasted vegetable and hummus focaccia.
I ordered the Mediterranean pasta salad mixed with the roasted pumpkin, red onion, green beans, red rice, almond and feta salad.
We both ordered the Belgian chocolate milkshakes, as we both love a great shake.
We both shared the Cremé Bruleé.
Wow what can we say, everything was delicious and amazing in taste.
It was definitely outside the box for us, especially as we are both big meat eaters.
We would definitely recommend this place and we will both definitely be back.
T. H.
Friendly accomodating staff, beautiful decadent gluten-free selection in cakes, especially birthdays types. Love this beautiful baker, thank you x
S. S. S.
No doubt this is the Best spot for breakfast or brunch...Every time we are in city we make sure we dine here. Must try the cakes...
A. P.
We came here as it was highly recommended and got amazing reviews.
Unfortunately we got too late for their famed bacon and breakfast menu (kitchen closes at strictly 11am) so we settled for a Croque Monsieur. The waiter recommended it was it was full of Prosciutto which would hopefully satisfy our hankering for bacon.
As recommended, we shared one as it was very rich and filling. The bread was fresh and crisp from being fried Ina sandwich press and there was a mountain of cheese inside as well as a generous serve if the ham. Although it overwhelmed our palette with how heavy it was, it was very moorish and quite satisfying.
However, when we ordered something sweet this place became unstuck. We ordered a sweet seasonal Danish to start. It looked so appetising sitting in its glass case with its high puff pastry and glossy rhubarb filling. We figured that since this is a famed bakery, their basics would be out of this world.
How wrong we were. The pastry was stale and it lacked any crispness at all. Quite soggy and the rhubarb filling lacked flavour. We were so disappointed in what we feel should have been a very strong dish that we chose to forgo the cakes we planned to order.
Lastly, maybe it's us being spoilt in Sydney, but their coffee isn't as strong as we prefer (but this was true for all the coffee we had in Tasmania so maybe it might be a regional preference)
Overall we were disappointed in this place but we may give it another chance to sample their breakfast menu.
A. N.
A cute little cafe and pasticceria. Friendly staff, cakes and pastries deserving of its European counterparts. Must be place to visit on any stay in Hobart.
If I was to point out any faults - not the most accessible place. More needs to be done to make it more inclusive.
A. B.
Great coffee, delicious breakfast and treats to go. There were so many superb options for breakfast and lunch. I would highly recommend this as a food stop.
M. B. M.
berry tarlet pastry was very light with nice creme fraiche filling with berries. however, the chocolate stick and choc beans garnished on the chocolate eclair was completely tasteless although the espresso taste came through strong in the filling. it was okay but nothing to rave about.
to top it, service was really spasmodic.
T. S.
This cafe is a gem! The decor is nice and the variety of cakes and other baked items on offer is fantastic. Service is friendly and efficient.
S. L.
Had a great breakfast and excellent coffee in the very elegant environment. The cakes and bread looked amazing but I was too full to try any!!
w. s. y.
We chanced upon this cafe in the morning. The chicken pies & smoked salmon tart looked so good, we dived in and forgot to take pictures! We then ordered the Belgian Chocolate Roll & Tropical Fruit Slice to share. Both were divine! Must try if u're in the neighbourhood!
M. N.
A beautiful bakery that you can't miss when you have chance to visit Hobart. Its opposite the Parliament house and next to Salamanca market. Outdoor seats are available as well. We totally fall in love with this bakery.
F. V.
It was a fantastic experience having my coffee and lunch here. The waitress that was serving our table was very patient and nice, she placed cutlery and other stuff so delicately and with care that I really enjoyed their attention to the details. I had orange cake and chicken pie that were both stunning. The coffee tasted great too. Highly recommend! Very beautiful place with professional people that care about customers:)
A. S.
Just delicious! Believe all the good ratings, this place is so worth a visit. It was hard to choose but had a beef pie, coffee and Tarte Tatin. Everything was delicious and the service was lovely.
A. T.
OohLaLaa. So glad we popped in before dep Hobart this morning. Bucket List. Tick. Fine coffee. Beautiful cakes. Lovely ambience. Superb!!

I can see why this place is a favourite among the locals - aside from the beautiful colours which greeted me when I entered the shop, alongside the wonderful aroma of pastries and coffee, I must say that the savoury and sweets are very much well done!
Went back twice in my trip to Hobart, and the service was great too.
Tried both cakes and pastries and they were both awesome. It’s a pity I didn’t manage to dine in this trip, but will make a mental note to swing by and have breakfast or tea next time when I am in Hobart.
Located along Murray street, not too difficult to locate, but limited parking. It’s a stone throw away from the pier, and not too far from Salamanca market. So this might be a good stop to consider on Saturdays!
K.
Busy charming cafe near the Salamanca markets. Delicious sweets and bakeries. Friendly staff and great location.
l.
Holy decadent vegan options, batman!! 💙 Thank you Daci & Daci!

Great food. Great services 😍😍
U. T.
Great coffee, wide choice of savoury or sweet breakfasts. Top service.
S. W.
Didn’t try the dessert & pastries, but we had the Lamb and Chicken pies that were pretty good - not too gelatinous/ too much corn starch and the flavours were hearty and balanced. Tried the Vienna coffee but was slightly disappointed by the thickness of the cream. Would definitely try another type of coffee next time!
C. L.
A beautiful cafe with great service and excellent food.
-.
Probably overrated. For dining in at peak times there is nowhere to sit and even when you can find a seat - the tables are small and the service slow.
Consider taking away your preferred pastry
c. l.
Amazing selection of cakes, tarts and savouries. The cherry and pistachio tart was delicious and came with a generous helping of vanilla speckled cream. Large coffees and cute small gifts too. A great place to come hide from the cold.
H. R.
One of the best cakes we've had! It looks phenomenal and tastes even better! We wandered past and saw the full size in the window, so glad we came back to enjoy... seriously considering buying a whole one! Friendly and attentive service, great selection of cakes, and savouries :-)
K.
Busy charming cafe near the Salamanca markets. Delicious sweets and bakeries. Friendly staff and great location.
P. B.
A midweek stop found the cafe quiet on a Wednesday morning. This is rare as this place is usually humming with activity and pretty full, especially on the weekend when Salamanca Market is happening. Beautiful selection of sweet and savoury with a slant towards French/Italian cuisine
J. N.
Their coffee goes really well with their cakes. Particularly enjoyed their hazelnut dacquoise. They added a touch of orange to some of their cakes which may not appeal to everyone. Overall still a great place that deserves a thumbs up!
J. D.
If you are in Hobart you MUST come here. The coffee is excellent, the service is amazing & the food? OMG, the best cakes & pastries I've ever had. I wish there was one in Canberra!
U. T.
Great coffee, wide choice of savoury or sweet breakfasts. Top service.
E. B.
Best avocado on toast ever. And the cakes are amazeballs..... Just eaten the (take away) meringue and had to come back here to edit my review, but I can't add the 5 more starts I want to give them. But I can buy a house in Hobart and visit daily.
B. H.
Had a salmon + creamed egg on rye and a citrus tartlette for takeaway breakfast. For five minutes, I was lost in pure heaven. If you've been saving up your pocket money, definitely take it here every once in a while.
T. N.
If you're craving for something sweet, head to have the best desserts in Hobart at Daci & Daci Bakers! 😋
G. S.
Quick service and friendly staff. Food and coffee great. I had the waffles with chocolate cream and poached pear, out standing. Open from seven and short walk from Mona ferry or Salamanca markets. I will be back.
F. M.
Wow what a great lunch, just delicious and the service was so friendly! So pleased we found this place!
D. D.
not quite elevenses....so has to be second breakfast 🤗 Always look forward to visiting Daci & Daci. Great tasting food (best croisants ever), very friendly, courteous staff. Top marks 👏👏
Y.
I really love this shop!
It's very hard to choose which one to eat,
Cause all of the food looks sooooo good!
And it's also really delicious!
I will definitely come back again for this shop!!!!!
T. S. T.
A variety of breakfasts, pastries and desserts to choose from. Food tastes good but not extraordinarily special. The shop is pretty busy so do expect some wait.
N. M.
Dropped in here by chance after a quick trip through the Salamanca markets. The cakes and slices looked fantastic and the little lime number was a treat, but be careful the lime is strong (I liked it but others may not). The reason for only 4 stars is that the hot drinks were tepid at best. The staff were all great and I am sure if we raised the issue they would have fixed. But first impressions count.
S.
Best croissant in Hobart!! It is really crispy but soft inside😋 Coffee is also excellent.
O. C.
Great table service and pastries! Will be back to try out the other things on the menu!
d. m.
The cafe was opulent as described on their website but the feeling wasn't exactly welcoming. staff were friendly but the place itself is uncomfortable. Was not reminiscent of cafes in France if that is the desired theme.
All the food on display looked amazing but our order did not have the same wow factor when eaten. The sausage roll was dense and the meat was dry. Pastry was great. It was odd to see Croissants hidden away behind the staff on a low shelf. The outer crisp of the Croissant was nice but the layers were thick, it had no warmth and no hint of butter.
It's worth noting that alot of people appeared to be enjoying themselves but our experience was more looks then substance.
R. M.
Large range of delicious sweet and savoury pastries. Warm and friendly customer service. Smooth and delicious coffee. Take away or eat in. Nice decor.
R. S.
Finally, a good bakery and what an amazing breakfast! Duck eggs on a menu doesn’t happen very often. Excellent service too. Thanks.
N. B.
Such good food!!! Everything we had was heaven! Cake, sandwich, salad - so yum! Make sure you don't miss our!!!
K. S.
Beautiful pastries, fruit toast with lots of fruit and good coffee and lovely ambience. What else ?
B. W.
Enjoyed our visit to Daci & Daci Bakers.
S. F.
We went for tea and a treat. Settled for Rose Tea, which fitted the atmosphere. Service by the formally uniformed waitress was quick and efficient. The treats were as good as they looked - delicate, petite but sweet. Tea in a pot allowed too steep. Overall had a lovely arvo tea - it is all a bit pricey but you would/should expect that. One for the tourists.
K. C. S.
We had the Belgian chocolate tart served with cream. It was super good, excellent. Staffs were friendly and knowledgeable on the products and was able to advice us accordingly. Will be back for more desserts in the future.
R. E. c.
Great food and variety of meal options, service was good and quiet friendly.
Lacking table service would complement pricing and suit the standard such a place shows and cooks to, however this is only satisfying some people's expectations.
Would recommend a visit you will certainly enjoy the flavours and eye catching creations to chose from .
E. P.
Oh this is good. Really excellent coffee and wonderful food. There's a nice European vibe about the place, but the coffee is better than you'll find anywhere in Europe. Croissants, pastries, etc, are all world class. Can’t recommend highly enough.
L. E.
Fantastic bakery, one of the best I have been to in Hobart. Some delicious vegan pastries available too!
N.
Fabulous selection of bakery products. Highly recommend the pastries and the leek and artichoke tarte was jam packed with ingredients and super creamy. A great pit stop.
G. G.
Amazing bakery at walking distance from Salamanca market. Very reasonably priced and with great service
l.
Holy decadent vegan options, batman!! 💙 Thank you Daci & Daci!
J. D.
La nourriture délicieuse ! Great service and food. We'll be back!
T. H.
Great coffee, good selection of baked goods, great service.
G. P.
Awesome place if you want something sweet. The Banoffi was great and the coffee was very good was well.
L. M.
Great croque monsieur. Good coffee and delicious range of dessert
T. L.
It's ok. Decent coffee. Decent food. Nothing to shout about. The jam and the yogurt are good though.
w. p.
Just what the doctor ordered. Fancy but unpretentious. Lovely.
J. L.
We had a egg&smoked salmon croissant, and an apple strudel. The apple strudel was PERFECTLY delicious. The croissant was good in general but the egg and smoked salmon was quite salty. We had to drink a lot of water to offset the saltiness. Any chance to lower the salt level? It would be a healthier option too.
N. d. B.
Savoury food is pretty good but the desserts here are amazing!!!
L. X.
A wide range of selections available. Absolutely loved the croissants with jam. It is a short walk from the city centre and definitely worth a visit!
G. T.
Nice ice coffee and chai latte. A bit strong moca but the cakes were nice eniugh to die for
A. I.
Great coffee - soy lattes can be difficult, easily burnt and spoil the coffee flavour. This was perhaps one of the smoothest soy lattes I've had. Excellent selection of pastries (the croissants look massive) with Parisian interior decor - très européen. In the photo is a Nutella bombalini.
Only downside is the wifi isn't strong, in case you were thinking of coming here to do some work.
R. L.
Great service.. great atmosphere..food was great..went back for the eggs benedict..
D. L.
Almost like sitting in a cafe in Paris. Really enjoyable coffee stop with friendly service, great coffee and amazing pastries and cakes on offer. Best cafe we found in Hobart.
C. M.
Food - 5
Service - 5
Atmosphere/vibe - 5
Well balanced food, may require salt and pepper to accommodate your taste. Milkshake with real chocolate!!! Hot chocolate with real chocolate!!!!
This place is worth coming too!
S. G.
Was better on our last trip lacked the friendliness of last time. Coffee could be bettet
F. A.
Good place for a weekend rest. Desserts are good and staff was nice.
J.
Good coffee, even better food. The croquet Monsieur is a must!!! Banoffee was really nice too.
V. W.
Potato Leek & Bacon soup with sourdough. Just perfect for lunch. Coffee and staff are fantastic not to mention the pastries
M.
Great coffee, delicious food a choices
Y. W.
High class patisserie dine in experience. Try any pie and you'll know what they're good at!
M.
Lives up to the other top notch reviews. Perfectly made food and desserts, I was blown away.
H. M.
This bakery is authentic and to die for. The breakfast menu has such a wide choice and is a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and the bakery caters for bigger groups. The quality of the food is outstanding. Fantastic location near the waterfront also. Definitely will come back!
s. p.
Fantastic, as soon as we arrived in Hobart first thing we did was come here for breakfast.
R. B.
Great coffee but the real winner is the cakes. So delicious we wanted to try them all!
C. M.
So good, a must stop for a Hobart visit, so easy to accommodate for a birthday cake and I'm sure any other celebration too.
X. A. C.
I have gone several times to try different things during my stay in Hobart. Everything is fresh and freshly cooked or baked. Large assortment of breakfasts, good breads and all kinds of bakery. The staff is very friendly, professional and attentive. That is the desire to work!
D.
Nice place, bit cold of its cold outside. More 3,5 stats but can't give that unfortunately. 4 starts too much as that would be a place I definitely would go back. Good coffee , breakfast was very standard nothing especial but I liked the bread although my partner didn't so I guess it depends.
J. M.
Coffee is a bit blah but you don't go to Daci & Daci for the coffee, you go for the pastries and desserts which are simply divine. If you have a sweet tooth, even a slight one, you deserve to treat yourself to the offerings at Daci & Daci.
J. S.
Best coffee . Amazing cakes we were gob smacked by the selection and KATHERINE WAS A TREASURE!! HIGHLY RECOMENDED
J. A.
Went into to have lunch here and they have table service. Sat down and ordered drinks, they showed us the menu. The drinks came but we the girl that was serving us sat down and had her lunch which was fine but we waited for 20 - 25 minutes and no one came to get our lunch orders so we paid for our drinks and got lunch elsewhere. Pastries look really nice.
E. C.
Really nice place with a wide selection of breakfast items and cakes. Great for dine-in and takeaway alike.
M.
Food and coffee were delicious but they apparently did not have time to simply cut a croissant in half, despite the shop being half empty at 10am on a weekday
D. W.
Pastries yum what more can i say
Coffee is ok but go there for the cakes and pastries
N. B.
Very tasty (amazing) and very well presented food. We went back to this bakery 5 times in our 7 day stay in Hobart. 3 with a group and 2 by ourselves. Service was great. Location is perfect. I was born in Hobart and great to see beautiful stores like this. Please go here. Please. :-)
L. D.
Went for cake and breakfast. Tried eggs royale and apple strudel, both very tasty. The Italian waiter was friendly and attentive! He remembered my name and order of a few days before. Definitely will be back. Lynda
B. N.
Didn’t plan to drop in here but very glad we did. Just had a small breakfast made up of a range of toasted breads and coffee but couldn’t fault the taste and service. They do takeaway and gave cabinets full of pastries, bread and cakes. Outdoor seating also available. Great location close to Salamanca markets
R. M.
We had a sausage roll and ham and cheese croissant with coffees. The croissant was soggy (like they heated it up in a microwave) but the sausage roll was delicious. The milk was burnt with one of the coffees and the other tasted great. For a place that has a 100% price premium, they didn't deliver.
E.
Prefered the old style they had i could see the full menu infront of me at the counter too hard to image what is on the bland menu, milkshake was extremely sickeningly sweet..
N.
By far the best pie i've had. Service was great.
T. K.
Scrumptious sweet pastries with superbly baked dough in the assorted options of croissants bombalini and eclairs. Almond cake was one the most moist I've tried. Mocha was outstanding balance of cocoa and coffee. Iced chocolate was bit mediocre however for the price. We asked for filo veg pastry takeaway but sadly it wasn't warmed up as claimed so it was difficult to appreciate the flavours.
Service and ambience is top notch.
Can't wait to go back and try some of the other sweet pastries.
i. w.
Great food. Great services 😍😍
C. S.
Had the most amazing breakfast there. Ordered just pastries and coffee and was absolutely amazing. Saw some of the food coming out and it looked amazing too.
The staff are great also
J. S.
Pretty average in terms of service. Not sure if they were too swamped with patrons but it took a long time for us to get our drinks, the food came out faster than our coffees which is highly unusual. The table next to us had finished their meals before they got their teas which didn't bode well for our expectation. They also forgot to bring out our dessert/cake...
Food quality was decent, nothing to rave home about.
C. N.
Love it good food and coffee pleasant surroundings
J. C.
This is a true authentic french cafe experience. Everything freshly baked to perfection. Excellent coffee and in the words of the French it's definitely "Le Petit Mort' when it comes to the pastries. A perfect finale before we headed home after a special weekend.

We ordered assorted pastries and cakes to be delivered to a Tassie colleague and the team at Dace and Daci did an amazing job. The food was reported as delicious and they even delivered it for us. Many thanks!
T. L.
Just perfect haven't had a good pastry since Noumea
H. H. D. C. P. L.
I always recommend this wonderful bakery. Just like Vienna. Service is polite and attentive. Plenty of gluten free cakes which are amazing! Reason for not 5 star - prices quite expensive, coffee even at half strength is not the best coffee I've had by a long way, need more gluten free savoury options so I don't gorge myself on the yummy cakes every time I visit
D. A.
It was a bloody nice breakfast, scrambled eggs scrambled just the way I love them. The sour dough rye was spot on . Good service. The coffee was pleasing and refreshing. Plenty of well presented delicacies for sale.Interesting views watching the construction across the street..thanks Daci Daci a great start to the day and what a beautiful day it is in Hobart today..
D. B.
Great place to eat delectable pastries and as pleasant walk up Murray street. A very busy place but the staff are attentive. They serve alcohol but I chose a vanilla bean milkshake to have with a steak & heon mushrooms pie. They have a great selection of tarts for dessert
R. R.
The best coffee shop in Hobart...love it!
F. a.
Daci & Daci Bakery is a quaint little bakery on Liverpool st. The experience the customer gets after walking through the door is one of elegance. The store is beautifully furnished with perfectly timed mood lighting. At the front of the store, they have a shelf with slices of the many cakes they create. When on display, they look more like art prices than actual cakes. Whilst the prices are more on the expensive side, the desserts are worth every cent. The coffees aren't spectacular, but they are bearable. The savoury options are also pretty good. You can order cakes here too, and can have custom inscriptions if need be.
T. W.
Cute bakery featuring delectable sweets and pastries along with solid brunch menu items
p. k.
We had a yummy banoffee tart. Too many deliciousness too choose from. Oh my!!!
L. S.
Very happy. The staff were very friendly and served us well and the atmospherewas amazinh. The food was really good and very well priced.
V. T.
The croissants are sooo buttery. Great selection of savory pies and pastries. It's a little pricey and note that it costs more to have your pie dine in than takeaway so I recommend ordering takeaway and have them heat it up for you then go and eat in the park across the road.
C. T.
Quick table service, if you are out for a quick lunch or bite to eat. Wait staff are very friendly and efficient. Beautiful display of pastries and cakes as well 😍
Y. H.
Beautiful cakes and pastries. I felt bad eating my concorde cake as it was so well crafted. The service here is exceptional too. They were quick to address my tea bag when they saw I was looking for a trash bin. This was one of the highlights of Hobart for us!
K. R.
Is there a way to review with a 6 star grade?? If I could, I definitely would!! this place is incredible!! As a French woman with high standards in terms of bakery and pastries, I can tell you that his place is high quality!!! Too hard to choose first, and then you are never full enough to want to try other things! Don't miss it if you go to Hobart, this is a must-do!!
J. P.
Amazing bakery with plenty of choice. Meals were very well presented and service good.
C. M.
Hands down the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Customer service and atmosphere are very good. Exceptional food and very well priced compared to our Perth standards. Highly Highly Highly recommended if your passing through or staying for a while.
P. A.
Lovely ambience for dining in. Excellent coffee, smooth and rich in the French tradition. Smoked Ham and Gruyere croissant is worth the trip to Hobart alone.
A. L.
The bakery's interior is nicely designed, well fitted with the Victorian England vibe of Hobart. White decors with marble tables. The pies are one of the best I've ever had. The chicken white wine leek and tarragon pie is perfectly baked and crunchy. The chicken wasn't overdone whilst the flavours of the tarragon indicated fresh herbs. However he Vienna coffee was quite disappointing. The black coffee was sour and the cream was store bought cream, would recommend going for a normal white coffee instead for a cheaper option.
L. L.
Could this be the best bakery in Australia? It's certainly one of our favourites! Superb baked treats, from succulent meat pies to delicate flaky pastries to beautiful loaves of sourdough; excellent coffee; and efficient counter and table service.
K. M.
Their beef & mushroom steak was amazing. Next time I have to try their other pastries. They all look so delicious. We will definitely come back. Thanks so much!
m. h.
Fabulous venue for coffee cake and chat. Comfortable nice ambience great cakes and good coffee. We'll be back. Oh and the service was warm and friendly.
D. M.
Attention to detail, beautiful fresh food, great service, excellent atmosphere. Liked it enough to return the next day. Highly recommend the Eggs Hollandaise on Brioche toast and a side of cured bacon.
H. D.
Excellent food and the fill pastry with Feta and cheese was amazing. Definitely a must visit place when in Hobart.
A.
Average coffee - bitter, no complexity of flavour. I had to add sugar which I never do, but would have been undrinkable without.
Average service - new staff poorly trained, didn't know what a Danish was and brought fruit tarts to begin with.
Wasn't busy but our food took about 10mins to arrive after our coffee, and then because they brought the wrong thing it took even longer to get our Danish's... I like to eat my pastry with my coffee so this was irritating.
None of the staff asked how our food or drinks were at any point...
Decent pastry but not worth the inflated price.
Atmosphere was ok, no ambiance.
Not a nice experience, I recommend finding somewhere else...
J. B.
The food is fantastic! I recommend the avocado toast in the breakfast menu. Also the gluten-free almond bread is really good and we enjoyed the coffees and hot chocolate as well!
A. H.
Pretty little bakery café with a great selection of pastries and cakes in the counter and a decent breakfast menu. Had the bubble and squeak, and scrambled eggs with salmon, both of which were excellent. Really glad we didn't get the hotel breakfast that day.
W. S.
I purchased the Citrus Curd tart and it was fantastic. Plenty of options for those with dietary requirements also.
A. B.
Usually I'm a budget traveller but sometimes it is worth it to indulge yourself once in a while. This was one of those times, Saturday morning, probably doesn't get much busier but we had helpful friendly staff, fast service and great food and coffee, the cheese and ham croissant was fabulous (good quality smokey ham), and the raspberry Danish was delish. As for the Vienna coffee, I've never had one before but I hope they're all as good as this one in the future! I'll be passing through Hobart once again on my travels and will definitely be going back.
B. M.
Whilst staying in Hobart we visited Daci & Daci multiple times for either breakfast or morning tea. The food & service is excellent and we also purchased some of the preserves which are amazing. The bakery has the best cakes in Hobart.
V. K.
Its a famous cafe in Hobart and the cakes are popular. We were here for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. The avocado dish was quite good and was healthy as well. The cake we tried was also good, but have had better cakes in Tassie
S.
An incredible range of treats. The aesthetics are AMAZING, unfortunately the selection of treats we had looked better than they tasted. Worth a try, but not on the top of my list.
B. G.
Great selection of delicious pastries. The braised beef and Huon mushroom pie was the BEST. And the chicken and leek pie was just as good. Excellent coffee too.
M. H.
Daci & Daci is a very stylish pastry shop/bakery with great savoury & sweet delights in a European cafe location. They are open for breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea with a wide range of coffee & other drinks too. Staff are friendly and the service is good.Highly recommended.
J. J.
Funky and trendy. Warm and inviting. Varied prices for dine in and take away. Loved the vegetarian options. Short wait on the coffee but well worth it. Awesome variety of deliciousness!! Fun to look at aswell.
R. K.
Incredible baking as always. What else to say? You can't go past the almond croissants and the selection of breads too.
Classic French/European baking and I love it.
T. P.
The stylish place reminded me of a French Patisserie and in fact - as I then read - it was founded in 2011 by a couple of European background (Kosovo and England). There is a shop attached to the café and many people come here just to buy something. The menu card is extensive - with Breakfast items, with Viennoiseries, Savouries, Petis Gateaux and Patisserie.
J. M.
Daci and Daci has recently been redesigned and has stunning decor. The display units showcase the most visually appealing and delicious arrays of sweet and savoury fare. The coffee is expertly made and most enjoyable. You really must visit sometime
J. W.
Fantastic food and great coffee. There were lots of choices on offer savoury and lots of nice pastrys and desserts. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Defiantly worth a visit you will not be disappointed.
R. L.
Cakes are delicious. Croissants and pastries are great when fresh though they seem to microwave their ham and cheese croissants leaving them chewy and greasy. Coffee is average unfortunately.
S. D. M.
Just one word - Amazing!
D. K.
Not one for pumpkin soup but this bakery make the best pumpkin soup ever, oh and the pork and fennel sausage roll was awesome! (My husband commented). We enjoyed this lunch as takeaway on Thusday 15 November 2018, whilst holidaying in Tassie.
l.
Great customer service, very friendly and welcoming staff. Good coffee but on the expensive side at $4 for a regular and not anything to write home about. The sweets look amazing although I didn't get a chance to try anything.
L.
Bit pricy but good. Croissant is flaky and tasty, might taste better if warmed up. The smoked salmon pie is pretty tasty too.
d. h.
Great pastries, cakes and breads,. My favourite is a Clafoutis with seasonal berries on top. They always give you a little tub of thick cream, livened up with grains of vanilla. Combine with a good Flat White this combo makes for the perfect morning or afternoon wind- down.
K. B.
Found Daci & Daci ll whilst on holiday. My husband and I felt like we were in a lolly chop for adults. Such a sumptuous selection of pastry, cakes and savouries. All handmade it was such a hard decision to make. I decided on the croissant with butter and jam whilst my husband chose French brioche. Yummy. Don't miss this place.
N. K.
Always the best place for coffee & dessert in Hobart.
K. L.
Beautiful bakery with an amazing selection of pastries, desserts, savouries etc accompanied by great service. A must to visit if you are in Hobart!
T. R.
Here for brunch on a Sunday morning...a returning diner visitig the cafe whenever in Hobart. Excellent food, great desserts. Good indoor and outdoor seating - very pleasant.
E. J. (. I. C.
Enjoyed a lovely GF Frittata (one of the best I've had!!) and cake. Thank you to the server for being so knowledgeable on your product range to help me get the right items.
N. W.
Great selection of tarts, cakes, pastries and savoury items. The breakfast menu was very appetising. Granola with yoghurt ($10) was delicious and the scrambled eggs on French toast was to die for. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Will be back.
G. W.
Great selection of food. Freindly service.
A. D.
Excellent experience. The sweet potatoe tart and Chai Latte were superb. We came back again since our first day and enjoyed the Blu berries pie and smoked salmon and avocado baguette. Wow...could replace the chairs outside to be more comfortable. Pricey but good quality !
A.
We called in here on the way to the ferry terminal for coffee and brekky croissants to go. Nice patisserie but the service was somewhat lacklustre, perhaps more of an effort is made with customers who dine in...
S. J.
Stopped by for a late Sunday breakfast. Ate outside in front on a beautiful late morning. Food was very good. And while I did not have a pastry, they looked yummy.
S. L.
Food and staff were good. However the cup I was given for tea was very dirty and I'm not sure how the staff member didn't notice. A glass for water we had was also dirty. Broken dishwasher maybe?
E. P.
Nice coffee and really nice pastries. 🥮 It’s with no doubt a good spot where to stop for a short break!
L. X. Z.
Every time we travel from South of Tasmania to North, we get our lunch take away from here. Love their baked goods.
P. T.
This place has incredible cakes. Paid just $45 for a huge gluten free chocolate cake with custom writing (for work leaving doo). Which was really tasty even for me and I don't normally like gluten free cake. They also do individual slices of most of their cake which I have busy working my way through since! Mmmmmmmm Cake.... <Drool />
V. _.
Been here multiple times during my trips to Hobart, one of the best cake/coffee shops i have been too. These guys know how to make their coffee and their cakes/food are top notch, you can tell when effort has been put in, never had anything below awesome. Staff and owners have been accomodating with modification requests. I have been to some ritsy places in melbourne who are more expensive, they do not come close with d&d. The banoffi was one of the best i have had, within 15mins of my order the remaining 5 were snapped up, i will be back again for more!
N.
One of the highlights of any visit to the dock area of Hobart city. Very French feel. You see lots of visitors in here. As a local I drop down every now and then. Well worth the visit.
P. M.
Great coffee! The desert was also good!
j. g.
Loved the exotic European feel to this place. The coffee was superb and the breakfast menu was incredible
M. M.
Great cakes and pastries, wait staff are lovely, coffee is ok, could be a little hotter.
I come here often and the cakes and lunches are great, I have always found the wait staff friendly and attentive, definitively recommended for morning or afternoon tea.
D. C.
Have walked past and had takeaway coffee from here many times. Recently ordered a cake online for a special occasion and the experience of picking it up in store was berzerk.
The guy behind the counter was blatantly racist - having stood in front of the coffee machine for nearly 10 minutes, he failed to acknowledge me and instead greeted every other person that walked in after.
Having recently moved here after living in Boston and Melbourne previously, many people do seem unrefined and small minded. After the guy saw my expensive car parked outside, the attitudes changed suddenly.
Weird and unpleasant.
EDIT:
Tried D&D again and this time, the service was sublime. "One dirty fish spoils the pond" - highly likely that previous experience was an isolated one and behaviour of one person shouldn't define the business. The cake was excellent and would recommend others to try them out.
s. “. m.
Incredibly delish food! We had a Cornish pasty and Belgian Chocolate & Salted Caramel Roulade... wow!
G. G.
Absolutely recommended!!
The food was amazing!!
D. K. P.
The salmon with the duck eggs was just simply amazing! Also had the continental brekky, go for it if you want something simple! Service is quick and very good!
C. V.
Lovely coffee shop , lovely servers!
K. C.
Honestly the best patisserie I've experienced outside of Paris itself. The cakes are to die for, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I'm from Brisbane but my first stop when visiting Hobart is Daci & Daci.
H. D.
Great selection of pastries, cakes, biscuits, breads. Inside & outside seating.
D. H.
Good arrange of treats and breakfast options
m. f.
What a quality find! This gem of a cafe serves the most amazing fresh & tasty savoury and sweet delights. Fantastic selection, great service, lovely staff and good value for money. I cannot pass it by since discovering it . . .
J. J.
European-style and European-quality patisserie with genuine French and Italian baked delicacies. Wonderful creative pastries and meals and excellent coffee. Their chai is real steeped spices not the prepackaged add water stuff, delicious and tangy. Only drawback is they have a minimum eftpos of $10. I'm a regular at Daci, love it.
A. _.
Amazing breakfast, the pumpkin and feta pastry is amazing and so is the raspberry pastry
A. A.
Very good looking pastries and desserts, alright taste. I found my brioche quite dry (and that shouldn't be the case at all). Coffee was good
A.
Good was tasty, coffee was great, service was friendly and the croissants were phenomenal!
M. B.
We visited the Daci & Daci Bakery in Hobart an it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The selection of cakes, pies and gourmet sandwiches was exceptional, the coffee was great and the service was very pleasing. I wish we had a place like this in Canberra.
A. N.
Beautiful bakery with large selection of counter food, breakfast menu and coffee. I had a rather delightful almond croissant.
F. C.
A great place for brekkie, lunch or coffee/ tea breaks. Tasty and scrumptious salmon tart for lunch was the order of the day. Generous amounts of salmon and tasty dijoinnais dressing on side salad. Gorgeous decor indicates classy thought into the design and layout.
Cette café me rappelle de un boulangerie á Paris ou j'ai souvent acheté une tarte au saumon- délicieuse. 🗼🌍🍰🍮🥞
B. D.
Amazing food, all the dishes we tried had great flavours. Yummy coffee to go with breakfast 🌟
A.
Lovely experience it’s pretty close to fine dining, although the dining area and tables are smallish. All the savoury and sweet items we tried were delicious and table service was good too.
A. I.
Great food, service and ambience
J.
Beautiful place, amazing food choices. Great coffee. I had the granola and my partner had the croque monsieur for brekky. Would go back
M. R.
The food was excellent service exceptional atmosphere very friendly & welcoming definitely would recommend
P. W.
Beautiful food and baked goods, great coffee and service, and very popular with tourists as well as locals. Pleasant, relaxing atmosphere despite the busy location.
J. D.
Have taken visitors here twice recently. Stale croissants the first time, second time I ordered a salad, it had obviously been premade, limp lettuce and soggy Crouton's. Very disappointing. Would expect fresh.
C. B.
Absolutely awesome baked goods and food. Had a creamy cauliflower soup that will put a smile on even the saddest face. Top notch-don’t miss this place.
E.
Great bakery for breakfast and lunch
Amazing little place with incredible baked goods. My favorited is the lamb pie and the biscotti with a nice coffee. A place to try if you are in the area.
a. s. c.
Lovely food and coffee. Friendly staff and excellent service. The cafe is crowded but we didnt waited too long for our coffee and food.
A. C.
Superb pastries coffee and baked goods in a European style cafe. You can’t go wrong here
B. W.
Awesome bakery with excellent pastries. Great for breakfast as well. Note: you need to order at the counter so do not sit waiting for service like the reviewer below.
L. T.
You're spoiled for choice on healthy or sweet or savoury items for breakfast! The simple sourdough toast with butter and jam was filling, delicious and the bread was freshly baked. Worth a visit!
L. L.
Best coffee in Hobart and CAKES WOW
B. R.
The food was very delicious. A little different to other bakeries. You need to go in a have a look at the display of bakery products. So yummy.
a. j.
cozy feel, and friendly staff. however, meat was not fresh on my sandwich, coffee was not hot, and male waiter was snacking behind the counter. not worth the price.
J. F.
This bakery is excellent and is well worth the visit. While in Hobart this is a well located reasonably priced place and is somewhere i would definitely recommend to anyone!
A. H.
OMG the Coffees, breakfasts & fresh breads were out of this world . Only disappointment, they weren't open Sundays Boo
k. f.
Good coffee, great bread and range of desserts. Prices are a bit on the high side, but quality is quite high. Can get very busy on weekends.
K. J.
Be prepared for a half hour wait for food, sitting outside in the cold and the wrong order, if you come at a busy time. Staff are really friendly and the coffee is great but for some reason we ended up with a bad experience.
D. P.
Every single time we visit Hobart we make a bee-line to Daci & Daci and they never disappoint. Exquisite food beautifully prepared and presented. Exceptional.
A. M.
The best breakfast experience we've ever had. You have to have 2 courses!
R. W.
Great baked goods and breads, but tends to get crowded.
C. H.
Very friendly and professional service, but also a relaxed spot for kids. The coffee is very good and the pastry is awesome.
K.
Excellent almond croissant and pain au chocolat. Coffee ordered before pastries, but arrived after.
G. C.
Unique and Refined. Food is chef quality at kitchenette prices. Based on what I've seen and eaten, should be ranked higher on the area. Closes at 6pm!
M. X.
very thoughtful staff, bought a bunch of stuff takeaway, was worrying how to.carry it all without squashing the cakes, and take the coffee. she packed everything ready to carry and made it back without ruining the food, and didnt spill the coffee.
C. B.
Beautiful little bakery just around the corner from Salamanca, I had a little bit of a wow factor heading in the door to see an array of beautiful baked goods.
K. R.
Had yummy eggs Florentine. Not much breakfast options but the dessert options were overflowing. Good ambience
A.
Good service, some savoury options tasty but the sweets are the highlights.
y. m.
Just fabulous !!
The divine French pastries, great coffee, warm friendly staff and beautiful ambience with lovely french music in the background, all made for a fantastic experience. Do yourselves a favour and come visit x
D. C.
Absolutely delicious! Beautiful coffee, chicken pies, choc chip hazelnut cookies, raspberry bombolini!
D.
Mango passion fruit cake was not worth money but my friend had black forest which was good but overpriced ...
朱.
Nice place, have a good view for the pier. The meals are delicious. And l like the design of stair. I’m recommend this place.
A. G.
Excellent coffee and super pastries a stone's throw from the Hobart waterfront and Salamanca. Great breakfasts.
T. O.
Lack of eggs Benedict and a mediocre soy latte make this a 4 star. But there was plenty of other stuff on the menu, im sure if i chose better i could rate higher.
J. I.
Nice place, good food. Lady that served us could have been a little friendlier though, otherwise enjoyed the food and coffee.
J. A.
The food was awesome, the coffee was amazing and the staff were fantastic. The decor was also really funky and made for an enjoyable meal.
Y. K.
A must visit when in Hobart, love the selection of desserts. Only thing I can pick on is that they close at 6pm but start stacking chairs and tables at 5pm.
Z. F.
Exquisite. The service, the coffee and the food. All absolutely excellent. A fine bakery indeed!
T. A.
I stopped In at this little patisserie and i must say that I was thoroughly impressed, the presentation of the food here is in the Nines. This was an absolute treat and I will be coming back with every visit i make to Tas.
M. R.
Ridiculously Overpriced!!!
Lucky for them that service was considerate and excellent and the menu even yummier.
Nothing wrong with offering the breakfast menu all day people!!!
B. L.
Recommended by a local - breakfast was absolutely delicious. Coffee was actually large and the interior was cozy.
E. F.
Zucchini Soup and Beef Quiche
D. P.
Great looking and tasting cake designs and pastries. Cappuccino however needs more work. Was almost bland. However the place was cosy. I liked it.
K. T.
It was the best sausage roll I have ever eaten. And the pecan pie was amazing. We are glad we stopped in.
J. C.

Daci and Daci was absolutely amazing! Everything looked so delicious and the portion sizes were so generous! I'll definitely be back to try more!
J. K.
This is one of the best places we visited in our time in Tassie. Amazing soup, sweets and service. We have dreams about that soup!!
D. T.
Looks great outside and inside, staff are friendly, the sweets surprisingly taste frozen and mass produced lacking flavour but still nice enough... just
W. v.
Awesome blueberry and apple strudel! Good coffee and friendly staff. Go there if you haven't been yet
L. W.
Olive & basil loaf was the best bread I've had in my life and I consider myself very experienced in eating bread
N. K.
Great place with great food. Amazingly friendly staff.
A. S.
Excellent Hazelnut cake and Portuguese tarts, shame about the construction noises, but this, of course is not your fault. Pricey, but worth the $$
I. R.
I had two sweets and a savoury tart, the tart was amazing and one of the sweets was incredible and another was quite mediocre and in all truth disappointing, but generally very nice vibes.
C. T.
3 out of 4 dishes were great. Coffee is average but acceptable. Atmosphere was very lively.
K. T.

K.
Beautiful coffee and the fact that you can sit outside and enjoy the Adelaide Market
B.
It's ok, pretty average and the croissants are mediocre.
S.
Delicious savoury and sweet pastries. Logistically the shop isn't set up well to handle the large takeaway crowd.
R. G.
A weekly indulgence for my wife and I, the cakes and pastries cannot be beat.
European atmosphere inside and great people watching outside.
S. A. P.
Absolutely amazing. Great food, great pastries. My only regret was that I came here only once.

Everything is lovely, and when I speak to the owner I realise why they are still so successful in spite of the long term restrictions from across the street.
A. M.

Soo good! The Bourke St of Hobart. Tucked away behind the main harbour precinct this little shop has delicious HuGe pastries and pies, oozing Cornish pastries and much more. Simply can't get enough and keep going back twice a day while I'm here.

Average coffee - bitter, no complexity of flavour. I had to add sugar which I never do, but would have been undrinkable without. …
