As a lover of cakes, Laurent never disappoints. With branches scattered all over Melbourne, it’s always easy to pick up a cake from them. ☀️The sunny bits: The Charlotte is my all time favourite cake from Laurent. With a perfect combination of raspberry, beetroot and sponge cake, it’s a beautiful looking cake. Swipe to see a close second - the citrus tart. Full of tangy curd in a lovely buttery biscuit base. ☁️The cloudy bits: It can get a bit chaotic when they are busy but otherwise it’s all good. ⭐️The forecast: I can never say no to cake especially if it’s from Laurent!

The staff were friendly. The crossaints were nice, the hot coffees didn't taste good and were not even warm when they arrived. Toilets were dirty. Didn't have a french experience definitely not worth $20.

The food was ok, good even. But nothing special. The staff seemed nice enough to me, maybe a little short, but they were a little busy at the time. However, the coffee was so expensive for the size, and so very burnt. The coffee was so disappointing i couldn't finish it. I hate wasting coffee, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. Not a bad place to grab a baked good or roll or pastrie, but I wouldn't recommend it if your after a coffee fix.

We were at MLC this morning for our son’s VCE Music performance exam and since we were not allowed in, we decided to walk to the nearby Glenferrie Rd shopping strip. Popped into this bakery and grabbed some takeaways. Previously we bought their products from Coles however the ones here taste better. Could have been 5 stars if only we can dine-in. Save this for another visit upon opening up soon.

Brilliant service with a classic interior. Staff are friendly, welcoming and incredibly thoughtful. They saw that we were dining in for two and cut the pastries in half. Atmosphere is great as well! Definitely recommended the Berry Danish, so yummy.

I don't really understand why Laurent is as popular as it is. The bread is good, but otherwise the cakes and savouries are very middling and expensive for their quality.

Most the food and cakes are great, except for the ham cheese tomato croissant. If you just buy a croissant with no fillings it is delicious and fresh, but buy one with ham cheese tomato filling and it’s stale. I believe they use the previous days croissants to make these.

Three of us came here on a very warm day and decided to sit out back in the lovely outdoor courtyard area. We received wonderful customer service from Erin. I ordered the roasted vegetable sandwich and a caramel milkshake, which were both delicious. Thank you :)

The Coffee has always been very good. Selection of cakes and nibbles awesome. A little peeved that the price of coffee has gone up. If you like good coffee made well and presented well, this is the place to go in Hawthorn.

(Translated) Every time I am in Hawthorn, I take the time to visit Laurent Pâtisserie. It is a truly extraordinary pastry shop with a very varied and very French menu choice. The croissant is downright the best in Melbourne. The service is exceptional and the restaurant very clean and modern. Too bad I have never been able to meet someone who speaks French at Laurent's. With the covid-19, I wonder if the pastry shop is open and if we can eat and have a coffee there. If anyone knows the answer, please answer this question. Thank you Laurent. (Original) Chaque fois que je suis à Hawthorn, je prends le temps de visiter Laurent Pâtisserie. C'est une pâtisserie vraiment extraordinaire avec un choix de menu très varié et très français. Le croissant est carrément le meilleur à Melbourne. Le service est exceptionnel et le restaurant très propre et moderne. Dommage que j'ai jamais pu rencontrer quelqu'un qui parle français chez Laurent. Avec le covid-19, je me demande si la pâtisserie est ouverte et si on peut manger et prendre un café sur place.
