2021 - Uncle Tetsu's have really out done themselves with their take on the French pancake, with the "Crepe Brulee". Loaded with strawberries, whipped cream and pieces of their original cheesecake. It's so light and fluffy, you'd literally inhale it! 2016 - Uncle Tetsu's really knows how to put the "moist" in cheesecake, these literally are the epitome of "moist". The famous fluffy and delicate texture is what earned Uncle Tetsu's universal acclaim. It's very different to the cheesecakes of the old world, with only a slight after taste of cheese, lack of biscuit base and overall loss of that, dense stomach real estate feeling. Just like eating a cloud. A "moist" cloud.

Their cheesecake is good but the crepe brulee could be better. It might just be me but the crepe brulee tasted a bit bland, I think it'd be good if they offered other flavors like chocolate or matcha for those wanting flavors stronger than regular custard. Nevertheless still a good treat that's worth a try.

I love the cheesecake from uncle tetsu. It's the softest fluffiest cheesecake that I have ever tasted. The good thing about it is that it's not very rich and creamy. My aunty really likes it because of this. It is unbelievable how soft the cheese cake was. The Madeline's were very nice as well. There was a subtle honey smell and flavour to the Madeline's. It tasted even better when I microwaved it for 30 seconds. I will definitely come back and try other flavours very soon!

Oh, Uncle Tetsu! Such delicious treats. The Creme brûlée cone is delicious, but so rich. My favourite is by far the chocolate cheese tart. Perfect as a small snack. So delicious! Consistently delicious treats regardless of what you order. The staff are always super friendly and lovely. Here’s a hint: if you’re just ordering a single item, ask for no bag. They’re always happy to place the delicious item directly into your hands with a napkin to save unnecessary packaging ❤️🌏

i found out about their crepe brulee through tik tok and wanted to try, i honestly wasn’t expecting to like it as i’m not a fan of overly sweet things but this was so delicious it was like i was sent to heaven after the first bite. they have 2 flavours (original or matcha) i got the original which has whipped cream, cheesecake and strawberries inside and topped with custard which they toast sugar ontop of to turn into creme brulee. i’m 100% coming back here on my next day off because i haven’t been able to stop thinking about it 🤤

Just went to Japanese cheesecake heaven!! We bought combo B to try the fluffy cheesecake and the cheese tarts. Both exceeded our expectations! The cheesecake had a light and fluffy consistency which just melted in your mouth, which was complimented with a subtle sweet flavor and the cheese tarts had a beautiful thicker layer of cheese on top and smooth and creamy centre, inside of a delicious shortcrust tart shell. I'm so excited to go back and get some more and they some more things on the menu 😋

They are not at all pricey and treat their clients with the utmost respect. The best thing is they use fresh items while baking things. Must try creme brulee crepe!! Will never find anything like it anywhere else and you can watch them make it before your eyes. They only make it during certain time periods (after 2:30pm I believe), be sure to check before you go.

I gotta say the Japanese cheese cake doesn't have the strong sugary taste that you normally get from other places. But I liked it a lot. Although the both cake and madeleine has nice mild smooth taste with freshly baked. Price is very reasonable I would defiantly go back. However the size of cake is size small in Melbourne standard, so you will need to purchase more than one cake 😆🎂🎂

The Creamy Cheesecake is so good. It lasts for upto 3 days in the refrigerator from the day it's baked. Heat it for 10-20 seconds if you like it warm, or enjoy it cold. It'll be amazing either way. I prefer it slightly warm as it melts in the mouth. Highly recommend Uncle Tetsu's.

Get the creme brûlée crepe noooow! A Beyond delicious; even better than expected. All ingredient were super fresh, and the strawberry was the perfect fruit balance to all the sweet custard and cream. Already looking forward to getting another. Note that they only make this at certain times (most afternoons to early evening) so make sure you’re there at the right time!

Uncle Tetsu did a great job for having the Crepe Brulee on their menu! I feel like it’s been on the menu for quite some time but suddenly blew up this year because of tiktok, is it just me or does anyone think that too? Idk time is a blur now haha Anywayy they’re so good!! I can see why people would line up for this. The first time we tried it, we only bought one. Next time we def need one each as I wanna have this goodness for myself 😝 PS: Do you know that they’re only available from 2.30pm?! Go line up at 2.29pm or earlier so you’ll be the first one to order 😝

Sweet little shop in the middle of Melbourne! We had their "crepe brulee" and were blown away with how many flavours you get in such a small package, I was half expecting to just have sugar wrapped in a pancake, how wrong I was.

I've always wanted to try a Japanese cheesecake and boy I was not disappointed! It managed to keep on my hour commute on public transport, which was my biggest concern. Absolutely delicious, so fluffy, incredible. I loved the halloween-themed stamp as well—I was absolutely gushing! I will absolutely be coming back before I leave. The cheese tart was one of the best things I've eaten as well. Staff was so friendly and helpful. All-around great experience. I hope they expand more in the US so I can have some of these delightful desserts back home! To sum up: would recommend, absolutely amazing, and super cute!

The infamous wobbly cheesecake from Uncle Tetsu lives up to the hype - for those who's palette who likes subtle flavours. The cheesecake was soft, light and fluffy and the cheese taste was a slight hint once heated up for a few seconds. It's recommended to be eaten refrigerated if you prefer a stronger taste of cheese - but to our taste buds the warm version was delicious. The honey madeleines was just as good. Crunchy on top and soft in the centre. If you like your cakes less sweeter than average - than this is your place! Mind the long queues, as at times it zig zags around, but we were lucky enough to simply walk straight in! Highly recommended!

However, the high price of $17.99 for the original cheesecake and 14.99 for the smaller Matcha Cheesecake is holding me back buy it again. The Medalanines are average. The Matcha ones is the best in my opinion for $3:50.

It's a small store which one customer comes in and out at a time, which has a line outside like a zig zag. I was very fortunate when I arrive there I was just behind by 5 people around 8:30pm, when I left the store there was roughly 20 people lining up! I can imagine the wait would be roughly between 10-30mins

One of the unique cheese cake I have ever tasted. It melts in your mouth and you can't stop eating it. I am a fan of cheese cakes, but sometimes it is hard to find the good one. Some are very creamy and some are too sweet, but their cheese cake is very balanced. I have tried their all verities but original cheese cake is my favorite and when it comes to madeliene, matcha flavour is my favorite. Staff is very polite and curtious.

I get the hype about this delicious sin. Luckily, I didn’t have to wait that long. There was no queue at around 10 pm on Friday night!!! The cheesecake was light and fluffy and more eggy at first but when refrigerated it became more dense and more cheesy. Both versions of it were awesome!

I am mad for uncle Tetsu’s cheesecake! I prefer the cheesecake chilled for a day before I eat it as I feel it lessens the egg-like taste you have when it is fresh. The novelty of the ‘jiggly’ cake and watching the make it is a highlight. When I came here a few weeks ago, they didn’t have the Matcha cheesecake that the Melbourne Central store had but the attendant advised that they would have it soon. It’s a must visit destination!
