One of the best Gluten free bakeries. They have loafs and different variety of sweets and frozen goods. The chocolate eclairs (cream and custard) are both amazing. Strawberry tart was pleasant and not too sweet (which I appreciate).
The only con I live across the river , need another outlet in Vic Park :D

Best gluten free bakery ever!! Love the buckwheat sourdough breads, especially the fruit loaf - it's so awesome it doesn't last long! Coffee and hot chocolate are really good as well as are their lunch rolls. Had one with roasted vegetables and salad - so good. Haven't tried the cookies yet....but they are tempting

Love this gluten free place and their baguettes! Whenever I'm near il always take a sneaky stop off and get one. They have a nice range of stuff that will surely please anyone who stops by I definitely would recommend a visit
R. S.
Awesome bakery. I love their stance on mask wearing. Its embarrassing to see all these ‘mask exempt’ people carrying on. Just put on a mask or stay home. I love the eclairs.

Best gluten free sandwiches/rolls and cakes I’ve ever tasted. Especially loved the GF cinnamon scroll 😍 Thank you! Please open a branch in Fremantle!!

This is a great place for a coeliac, especially if they're visiting Perth and have been on the 'hard-to-source-freshly baked-gluten-free goodies' road for weeks to months. As have we! We opted for some grainy sliced bread, fluffy light lamingtons and sugar-free date scones, all of which were delicious. They even serve coffee here. Very reasonable prices too. The owner who took our order was delightful and happy to engage. We appreciated her attention and welcoming nature.

An all time Perth fave for nourishing alternative breads. Gluten and dairy free choccy eclair is to die for!

Recently drove by and decided to duck in. Glad I did. Bread is fantastic, thoroughly enjoyed the Mediterranean lunch roll, and grabbed a couple of cakes which were nice to try. Thank you for accommodating for some vegan options as well as gluten free. I will be returning, especially for that Mediterranean lunch roll. Yummy!
A. L.
Amazing service, so much choice and incredibly high food quality standards. Keep up the great work!! I drive all the way from Armadale for the food here xxx
E. B.
Lovely selection of gluten free bread, biscuits and cakes etc.
J. F.
Best allergy free bread in Perth, highly recommend! Only frustrating thing as with most gluten free bread is the slices are quite small
S. B.
Amazing chicken and avocado roll. I also love the pizza bases, vegan pasties and dinner rolls. The peach frangipani tart is the best dessert ever. The paleo bread is amazing. I thought the doughnut could do with improvement, the dough was too savoury. It would be good if they stocked more pies and sausage rolls and pasties as they sell out so early.
J. J.
Nice selection of sweets stuff. I got the carrot cake, blonde, hummingbird, almond and honey slice and brownies here. The eclairs are good too with loads of custard.

Every single product on the store is AMAZING! Always fresh food and delicious gluten free option. I absolutely recommend this bakery!
Best attention from the staff, especially from Marina which was super great.
Thank for thinking in coeliac people!

My partner is coeliac so we usually buy things for her there and it’s impossible for me not to steal her food. Honestly everything taste amazing. The beef pie and sausage rolls are my favorites in town.
Great place!

Just found this place after a few months of imposed gluten & dairy free diet. Wife literally danced with joy when we left the shop, the selection of slices and cakes was so impressive. Tasted some as soon as we got home and will return regularly.... very tasty. We got a selection of cakes (hummingbird carrot and cupcake) next week might add in some savoury like the sausage rolls. So glad we found it.

Had a roast veggie roll, strawberry tart and a soy flat white. All delicious!😁 I've had the sourdough before at cafés and it's also delicious.
S. M.
Pricey but good, not a vegan but the vegan roll was the goods.

Drove a fair distance to get a gluten free lunch. Was hanging for a meat pie as I'd read reviews of how good they were. When I got there I was told they ran out of alot of things like meat pies which was a shame but there were plenty of bread loaves, bikkies and cakes to tempt the vegan or gluten free appetite
C. T.
Was so lovely to have a bread roll (including yummy relish) and a pastry that my tummy and my conscience could enjoy. ❤️ The higher price is to be expected. Also took home some frozen goodies that I'm still enjoying! If you need GF and vegan, this is definitely the place to go. 😊
D. B.
Great selection of allergy friendly bakery goods. Their cinnamon donuts are amazing!

Went to Strange Grains bakery today. I can't have gluten, dairy or eggs. The fresh bread was straight from the oven and was as good as any normal bread. Yum! Then I had a meat pie and sauce which made my eyes roll back into my head, it was so good. Then I had a strawberry tart which was pure bliss. Thank you Strange Grains... you were just what I needed today! I was starting to get a bit tetchy with my strict eating protocol. But today my belly is full and I am in food heaven!
A. K.
Huge range of breads and pastries, large selection of dairy free items too that are clearly labelled. My gluten intolerant daughter loved the lamington.
J. A.
Good selection, friendly staff and no gluten 😄
I. C.
Hands down the best GF bakery in Perth. Loaves aren't cheap but in a world where you get what you pay for, this bread is top notch quality. Available fresh or frozen. I usually make a monthly trip and stock up for my little coeliacs. Their other GF products are pricey so I stick to the bread.
A. L.
Peace of mind shopping somewhere that's 100% no gluten, they have so many sweet and savoury treats plus do great coffee with the alternative milks! Making this a Saturday morning must-do!
S. K. W.
The first gluten-free bakery I could find in Perth. Such a big relief for my partner’s mum as she is celiac. She doesn’t need to worry about being sick. Staff was friendly and lots of choices. They sell fresh pasta as well.
S. T.
Seriously the best gluten-free bread I have EVER had - unbelievably good and incredibly filling - you know it's excellent quality. I love that is doesn't have all the nasty chemicals you find in shop brought bread, and it doesn't taste like sawdust. It's so good!! I am also in love with their vegan, gluten-free desserts and lunch rolls - nom nom nom.
G. O.
Apologies for putting the wrong review here that was meant for somewhere else. Got some gluten free bits here for my girlfriend who was in hospital she loved all the bits I got for her and the coffee was good too.

I've been gluten free for 17 years, and this is the best GF bread I've tasted. The only other place that comes close is Deeks in Canberra, or pales loaves in Me;Bourne (Judy's) and Perth (Honest Goodness). You have proper sourdough here, and the bread is not filled with high GI flour like white rice flour and maize flour, but much healthier floors like quinoa flour and buckwheat flour. The paled loaf is a cracker, but my fave is the sprouted quinoa loaf. The pies are also the best I've tasted, although I wish they would do a beef pie without onion in it as I'm sensitive to onions. They also do amazing rolls, but I find the cakes a bit sweet for my taste. I do recommend the date scones, though, and the pumpkin scones are very pumpkiny. It tastes like real food, and sits well on the stomach. Considering the quality, the price is very reasonable.

I don't think Strange Grains bread can even be compared to the gluten-free bread one buys in the supermarket. The commercially produced loaves in the supermarkets are full of chemicals or taste like cardboard. Strange Grains have done an amazing job of creating an alternative for those of us who cannot tolerate gluten. The bread is tasty and wholesome and the biscuits/slices/buns are delicious. Fabulous customer service too.

I can stroll to this bakery and have tried their products on numerous occasions . Sadly I’m always underwhelmed with the bread products especially the fruit loaf.
I’ve been allergic to gluten for over 14 years with a hive like rash when I eat wheat or barley and have finally found a bread to my liking thank goodness. Not appropriate for me to say the name but it is marginally cheaper than Strange Grains and is made in Australia. The “big” two sell it but it flies off the shelves especially if it goes on sale.
During Easter I hang out for another great GF product sadly made in NZ ...
The hot cross buns I bought here at this bakery pale in comparison and would only give a one star as the white cross on them was inedible.
A. C.
The bread and cakes here are the best gluten free products available. My mother is coeliac and when I return to Ireland, I bring a few loafs for her. The hummingbird cake is one of my favorites 😋
C. M.
Love the food. Finally egg free pastries. Bread like it was before processed and refined foods. Delicious. A little expensive yet the quality makes up for it. It's not really expensive. Great bakery. Yummy.
E. D.
Why can't I give 10 stars love the allergy free bread I find it reasonably priced :)
J. T.
Sausage rolls and beef pies are a killer. Love it.
R. J.
Got a hot tip that this was the place to go in Perth! Wasn’t disappointed! Had the best bread roll since being diagnosed with Coeliac disease four years ago. Thanks for giving us such great choices! Cheers
J.
Awesome if you are someone who is coeliac. If you’re not, then go to another bakery. This place is like gf mecca- love the variety. It’s absolutely delightful. My only one criticism would be the bread has a sourdough taste to it and you do get a bit sick of this after a while, but it’s still fantastic and I’m super grateful it’s around! The bread lasts well in the freezer too.
D. M.
Unbelievable that these breads are gluten free. And I love the cakes, so delicious and no one knows they’re GF. Expensive but worth it, whether you’re coeliac, gluten intolerant or just trying a GF diet.
H. D.
I have tried many GF breads over the years, nearly all were tasteless, gluggy, cake-like and virtually indigestible. They also don't play well with other foods and toasting is virtually impossible. THEN I found Strange Grains bread. OH MY! All I can say is "Where have you been all my life?" These breads behave well in all bread situations and taste great as well. THANK YOU so much, and please never stop baking these creations. (Yes, I am obviously a grateful fan). The only downside is that they are more expensive than their glutinous counterparts, but I get that the ingredients and baking methods are very costly, it's just the way it is unfortunately. I have to agree, I don't think the negative reviewers knew that this is a Gluten free bakery.
G. B.
So very impressed. Such a treat to have delicious wheat/gluten-free versions of baked goods; the donut was very good. Range was great. Prices were just ok. Service was friendly.
D. C.
This is the absolutely best gluten free bread EVER. I get nervous when I leave the State because I know I won't find anything else like it and I rely on it so heavily. Do yourself a favour, if you are gluten free, buy some immediately. You won't regret it!!!
C. M.
As someone who has tried all types and brands of gluten free bread, none have lived up to the standard found at Strange Grains Bakery. It's fresh, it's chemical free and it's absolutely delicious.
J. F.

Excellent quality products, despite being a pricey. However when you want fresh bread and it has to be gluten free, no other place comes to mind.
