Been a loyal customer of this particular bakery for years, the quality of products always on point, classic style of sweets for everyone... Esp the quiche, what a perfect combination with their lovely coffee. I used to buy some and hold them in fridge for my morning rush to work, a quick 30 sec in the microwave do some magic sometimes.... Do give some time when you are visiting, covid has impacted the business and the operation has been working with understaffed, but their products always worth the wait.... Lovely people and sweets...

Been dying to put this review, I visited this cafe last Christmas, although it was definitely understaffed because of omicron, the owner and his pastry chef, worked in front and served us!! Good pastry, good coffee, and good service from both of them! Don't miss it and check them out!

Sensational cakes. We bought a selection of small cakes to takeaway. Each one delicious. However, customer service so very disappointing. Young female teenage staff member too busy chatting with her friend. She clearly saw us waiting to be served, however continued chatting. The young man who did eventually serve us was "Mr Grumpy". No eye or face contact, no "hello" or thank you".

I popped in this morning to grab a coffee and witnessed a very difficult family that was outraged that certain pastries were not in stock. I would like to commend the calm and collective young girl (new staff member)on the till that handled the situation very well because I don’t think I would have the patience to. Im a regular to this cafe and always receive fantastic service and great coffee.

Nice french patisserie on Bondi road. Great coffee, croissants and sausage rolls! Free wifi with friendly and great service. There are a few tables outside so you can bring your dog otherwise there is plenty of seating inside.

François Artisan Baker is up there with the best in Sydney. Great croissants as you would expect from a true French patisserie, lovely cakes in three sizes (bite size, medium and full cakes for celebrations), baguettes as well as quality pies and sausage rolls for the locals. Barista made coffee also available. For those missing the European bakeries this is the closest you will find in Sydney. Some seating inside but peak times may see you with take away (the latter is the case during COVID anyway). A bit pricy but you get what you pay for in quality. A recommended treat!

I go here about once a week for lunch. Though they are known for their sweet pastries, I absolutely love their onion and goats cheese tarte and baguette sandwiches. Coffee is great here too, serving The Little Marionette. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming, and love to have a chat!

We've been regular for these two years, a croissant is the best in sydney hands down I think after having tried other famous bakeries! My other go-to is fruit slice, coffee eclair, brioche on weekends and hot pies. They're all sophisticated and amazing but coffee eclair is top notch! Apricot tart cake on my birthday was just exactly my taste❣️

This French patisserie & bakery took me back to some delicious memories in France. The selection is huge from baguettes, croissants, beautiful tarts, cakes, eclaires to quiches and pies. The baguette was how I like them with a nice crusty exterior. The quiches (Lorraine & spinach) were both delicious with lovely pastry that's not overly buttery or oily and generous filling. Even the pie (steak and mushroom) was super tasty. Then there are the sweets. The fruit tartines are perfect & my favourite is the apple one which is slightly tart and light. All of the tarts are delicious & my favourites are the lemon meringue, fruit tarts, choc ganache & choc caramel. The eclaires were also lovely and light with a delicious pastry and is generously filled. Definitely want to try the vanilla slice/mille feuille next!

The apricot Danish was the best I've had. In the Eastern suburbs. In Sydney. Anywhere. The opera cake was nice, but a little rich. This I've had better of. The almond and plain croissants looked amazing but I did not taste. I'll be back!

Stopped for a coffee, which was pretty good. I then decided to have something light for breakfast. The young lady behind the counter suggested the ham and cheese croissant. It really hit the mark. The croissant had a beautiful crunch to it; and there was a generous amount of cheese and ham. I also bought a multigrain Vienna loaf. Beautiful. Great crunch on the loaf and a really nice flavour. Plus, it made really good toast this morning.

The best, most consistent bakery I’ve ever been do. Every item, from the bread, to the pies and cake selection are not just good, but exceptional. You will be blown away by whatever you have. My favs are the vanilla slice, the chocolate caramel tart, the goats cheese and caramelised onion quiche and the multi-grain Vienna loaf. Francois you make our weekends delicious!!!

This is my favorite place for my breakfast or lunch or both since they opened few months ago. Everything is simply delicious! I love the quiches especially the one with caramelized onions and goat cheese, I love the pies especially the chicken and leek, the croque monsieur is simply yummy! Beautiful sweets with cream Chantilly, beautiful french custard, chocolate éclair, strawberry tart, lemon tart, almond croissants, etc etc Awesome vanilla slice (sorry I can't remember the French spelling). Can't wait to try the bread that they baked fresh every day! Finally a good Pastry Shop in Bondi! The best one! Thank you to everyone who works in this shop! I know how hard is working in hospitality!

François is a genius when it comes to creating delicious desserts. I needed a dairy free birthday cake for my daughter but wanted something interesting & tasty, which isn’t always easy when you have special dietary requirements. François created the most magnificent cake in the shape of a giant macaron with a lemon filling. The cake was delicious and the lemon filling was absolutely to die for. No one could believe it was dairy free. I’ll never buy a cake anywhere else again!

For her 40th, I thought I'd take another stab at finding one in Sydney that passes her exacting standards after failing several times in the past. Suffice to say I found success with Francois' exquisite Black Forest. "One of the best I've had" was the official word from the judging panel (ie wife). Will be back for sure.

Bread & pastries: 5 stars. As a breakfast place: 2 stars. I love the baked goods, delicious croisants and pains au chocolats. Decided to have breakfast here and was disappointed. Bacon & egg roll was a bit dry, luckily I asked for the eggs to be scrambled l which made it better. The avocado on toast was the worst, almost no avocado. $3 to add fried egg with a dry, hard yolk (asked runny yolk) and cappuccino was more a flat white with some chocolate. Fresh OJ was good and service friendly. -edit- I've been here to many times to get bread and pain au chocolats to give this place 3 stars. So UP to the 4 we go :)
