I believe this is the best Carrots cake In Surry hills area and around Sydney😀. Also this place is famous for key lime pie. I’ve tried those native cake from Florida, and this place done justice to this pie. Sourness from the key lime juice and the sweetness from condense milk making this nice treat on hot day. My piccolo also not bad

This is a wonderful shop full of warm, helpful people who truly care to deliver great customer service. I am located in the US and I worked closely with Nadene to get a cake delivered to someone on the ground in Sydney last minute. From start to finish she was amazing. To top it off I heard the cake itself was delicious!!! Can't thank them enough for all they did to help!

Ordered a cake for my daughter's 18th Birthday. It was a tall cake with 2 layers and decorations. Beautifully baked and crafted. It was amazingly delicious too. Few cupcakes were ordered too for the event. They just flew off the cake stand so quickly, leaving us wanting for more. Cake delivery was on time as requested. Very professional and individual service. Highly recommended.

Amazing cake Shop. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Best to order your cake 48 hours ahead to avoid disappointment. Having said that I turned up on a Saturday without notice and they had some beautiful while cakes ready to go. I got the Red Velvet in the photo. And the coffee is quite outstanding as a bonus!!

I’ve been a sporadic customer with this cakery for 8 years. I love the location, serving sizes, prices and what they offer. But the cakes taste average at best (which is why I’m sporadic and only go when I have no where else to go). Another star off because of the rudest staff. I called to ask why there were two prices for pumpkin pie on their website (if you go onto their normal menu, it’s $40 but if you go to the thanksgiving menu, it’s $45). The lady on the phone didn’t have enough English speaking skills to give me a reason (or the correct price) so I went into the store to enquire and the older lady behind the counter answered my questions like I was the one in the wrong. If there’s another bakery that does rustic and home style cakes in the hood, please let me know because that was the last straw.

I was on the hunt for a good red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting which was harder to find than I expected. I came across Jillian’s Cakery and so glad that I did! You really need to give them 48 hours notice if you want a cake. Don't expect to be able to walk in and get one. I got lucky and grabbed one of the last small red velvet cakes before midday. They added some decoration on the top for me on the spot. The service was very friendly. I had the rosemary and lamb pie while I waited, which was delicious.

AMAZING! Running around Sydney CBD like a headless chicken looking for a decent size cake. I finally found the team at Syndey Cakery. They normally need a 3 day lead time, to create one of there amazing Chocloate Ganash cakes but they did a special for me and could have one ready for the next morning! This place a bit ghetto but the ppl who work there are lovely and the cakes are yum. Red velvet cake is the star. Yum. Ask for the cream cheese frosting (bit sweet but just don't eat all the frosting and you'll be fine)! The interior needs a makeover - so much potential!

11/10 for this amazing business. I bought a cake and the lady who served me gave me a 20% discount because I was buying it to raise money for the animals injured in the NSW bushfires. They even piped 'wires' on it at NO charge, the charity I was raising funds for. The red velvet was uhhhmazing! Very good cakes. My company buys their cakes for birthday celebrations as well. We were expecting a simple Chocolate Flour-less (being my favourite cake), but were absolutely blown away with the incredible flavours and textures, as were all of our guests. Jillian and her team are incredibly accommodating, and allowed us to customise the cake without sacrificing any of the taste and texture. Moist, dense, chocolaty heaven. It was such a beautiful cake, a great way to end the evening and more than enough to go around for seconds for everyone who just couldn't get enough! Highly, highly recommended! I love this place! It's just around the corner from work so I pop in almost everyday for my caffeine fix. Great coffee, friendly staff and the cakes are to die for! I have to stop myself every time I go in. I had a piece of vanilla buttercream cake the other week and it was probably one of the best pieces of cake I've ever eaten, hand down. Being an ex pat from Texas it was nice to find a place that makes American style cinnamon rolls (not scrolls). They were delicious and worth the drive from Bankstown. The family and I tried a few other sweets on the menu but honestly they weren't any good. The hostess was amazing and had a wonderful energy about herself which made our experience fun! I would return, but only for the cinnamon rolls.

The best savoury galette I have ever tasted. It is a must if you enjoy authentic buttery, velvet, short French pastry. Their cinnamon roll "scrolls" are impossible to go past and just warmed up a little by them in house with a good cup of coffee and you set. Also worth mentioning from what I've tasted so far are the pecan pie and the burnt butter banana bread. Both absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend cakery/ patisserie/ bakery and not seen very often in the city.

I had a wonderful experience ordering from Jillian'a. I ordered while still in the U.S. just before traveling to Sydney for holiday. My girlfriend's birthday was on the day of arrival. Unfortunately, this was a Sunday when Jillian's was closed. Jillian's was gracious enough to deliver the cake to the restaurant we would be dining at a day in advance. Everything is great here and worth a try (pace yourself: a slice every week of a new thing perhaps?) my favourite after trying most things is the tres leche (10 stars) which everyone always questions (cake soaked with milk and topped with cream?!?) but then becomes their favourite too. Jillian’s also does a killer vegan chocolate cake too. Delivery available in the CBD too. Our go to for office birthdays.

We happened across this absolute gem and will definitely be returning again! We bought a slice each of the vanilla and red velvet cakes and a piece of the brownie s’mores slice - all of them were so YUM and great value! The service was friendly, we even got a parking spot out the front. Access in to the shop is easy and it’s probably about a 5-6 minute walk from Central train station.
