Wholegreen Bakery in Waverley / Clovelly is a bakery cafe stocking a range of 100% gluten free products as well as those that are nut free, dairy free and refined sugar free. In terms of products, they have bread, tarts, croissants, pies and muffins, amongst many mores Bread wise, they have 4 types available including Plain, Seeded, Olive and rosemary, Activated charcoal and turmeric and Fruit. They are available as loaves, baguettes and rolls. They also have a pastry range including croissants, pain au chocolat, almond croissants, fruit danishes, chouquettes, lemon meringue tarts, chocolate beetroot cake and chai spiced orange and carrot cake. There’s also quiche, pasties and pies. I tried a delicious lentil and veggie pie that had a flavoursome filling and crunchy pastry exterior. They also have a great vegetable frittata (and other flavours too). Pop by and try it out for yourselves, whether or not you’re on a gluten free diet. I’m not, and enjoy it all the same.

I eat gluten most days but let me tell you guys... their sourdough bread blew me away! They're so good fresh and just perfect when toasted! Also appreciated is the great service that they provide. Two thumbs up!

This place is amazing for everyone! It's an entirely gluten free bakery so is completely safe for Coeliac's but my partner also loves it here. The prices are SO reasonable for such delicious gluten free fare and the staff are absolutely amazing. We've eaten here several times and have not been disappointed once; it's always so good we buy extra snacks to take home. Thank you for your Coeliac Paradise! Best GF bakery in Sydney! Five stars is well deserved for their attentive customer service and delivery. They have great selection of GF sweets, savoury and breads. Lemon tart and Sourdough bread Seeded is amazing! Can't wait to taste the whole range.

Clear labels for people who might have allergies to certain food, friendly staff, lovely selection of special bread like charcoal tumeric (loaf, baguette, or rolls), Olive rosemary, and sourdough bread. For the sweet tooth like cookies, brownies and muffins. They also have savoury quiche. They do have three tables for dine in. As well as hot drinks and cold drinks. It is a quiet neighborhood. I tried the quiche and surprisingly not too salty or sweet. More on mild side. They provide some kind of pesto although I didnt try as Im allergic to dairy. Because food isnt too rich in salt (unsure if it is the same with sweet dessert), a gem to find gluten free bakery, and friendly staff, it deserves a 5 out of 5.

Amazing treats and v accommodating. I stuffed up the date of a Xmas pick up order and the lady was so lovely she managed to still fulfil my order and cancel the wrong date with no fuss. Thank you so much!

Although not a local, every time I am around this way I make an effort to visit here and try a different item every time! This time I had the Pumpkin Frittata, Paleo Coconut Bread and the Prune Brownie (devoured this before I could take a photo). As usual the foods were delicious and the service was great! I was given some lovely vegan pesto for the pumpkin slice which added great punch to the dish! One of the few GF bakeries in Sydney that can accommodate for people with many dietary requirements (like myself) - would recommend to all, even non-GF folk!!

Wholegreen brings me SO much joy I can’t even explain - I was diagnosed as coeliac 14 years ago and since moving to Sydney I have been AMAZED that I can finally satisfy that pastry/cake/fresh bread-deprived child with the incredible products of Wholegreen. Along with my usual coffee (delicious) and pain au Chocolat (to die for), I tried one of the sandwiches today for the first time and that bread... omg. Ordered some deserts to send to my daughter during the pandemic and the delivery service they used "shook" the box around to create a delivery Eaton Mess. I have to say, when brought to the attention of the shop, Grace went way out of her way to make sure that it was corrected personally delivering new deserts to my daughter. That type of customer services is often lost, especially during a lockdown. I really appreciate the care that the put into the order. Thank you!

This is excellent quality gluten free food, just when you think the quality of gluten free us really improving wholegreen lifted the bar again. The lemon tarts were excellent although everything I bought (and I bought a lot) was excellent. I am definitely going to be a new regular.

Firstly, the food and coffee here is fabulous. It never disappoints! We have made special trips and are always more than happy to go for over a 1/2 hour drive to get here, but the last couple of trips we've left feeling disappointed because of customer service. The staff had attitude from the get-go, were unfriendly, unhelpful and plonked everything down without care. Today was the first time I've considered not to go back, which is a shame as the food is fabulous. Wholegreen Bakery could be such a special place for GF folk if the customers were served without attitude.

I just want to keep having their stuff!!! they do deliver but not the pastries!!! - this is my biggest issue here - they only make the pastries on the weekend and don't deliver them - come on guys expand your capacity we all deserve more of what you have got - it is an absolute delight

I don't think you will ever find a bakery which successfully creates delicious gluten free products as Wholegreen. While they may not be exactly the same texture as you'd expect, they still have a slight chewiness that you always wish to find without being crumbly. The combination of fruits and custard in the desserts with the right combination of sweetness makes me always buy more than I can eat in one sitting so always happy to bring it home.

The food is amazing! Its hard to believe everything is gluten free. There aren't very many places like this, so people flock to it. Can be quite pricey (I'm talking $7 for a piece of cake, sausage roll, both meat and vege pies, etc) but that's understandable. What's great is that they sell their pastry and bread that they use in their sandwiches and pies- you should visit just to try the pastry! Definitely recommend!

Being coeliac, I use to enjoy coming here for fresh gluten free treats. The one thing i recently noted that was consistant was the RUDE staff on every occasion. Even my husband who has occasionally picked up food here for me has noted the same thing. :( . Poor customer service. I have also had to point out to the staff to cover the baked goods as there were flies on them. They just stood there & said ohh. Not sure if i now want to return.

The food is amazing but consistently rude and poor attitude from front of house staff - especially on weekends. No smiles, seemingly not interested in developing Rapport with regularly returning customer. The kitchen go to great effort to make perfectly formed baked goods and the staff consistently destroy them with their careless handling of tongs.This has happened on at least five occasions now. I think cake slice would be better! They don’t ever properly warm food from their cabinet. We asked to cut a loaf in half and they wouldn’t despite being surrounded by knives. If the food wasn’t so good I would easily not come back. I could not respond to your answer below so I will do so here. You are referring to another customer, my bread was not sliced today.

The most delicious food! You can really taste the fresh ingredients and such a bonus that everything is gluten free too. Have been here a few times and am never disappointed with the food or the great coffee. A definite must try: brioche bun or the chicken, leek and mushroom pie. Seriously great gf croissants. Good location. You're usually able to get parking on the street outside. Would definitely recommend. The chef appears to be very passionate and knowledgeable about pastries...no small feat when they need to be gf. The charcoal and tumeric bread is my go to loaf. Shame they don't have many dairy free options. Folks with gluten sensitivities don't often have lactose intolerance. Coeliacs, however do. Would love to see vegan or lactose free range, grow over time. Irrespective, thanks so much for creating this great place!

Unfortunately my family requires dairy free also and there is only very limited options for this additional combination, but this place would be great for anyone who can eat dairy - lots of things that most coeliacs wouldn't have had for years!

OMFG!!!!! got here this morning after recommendation from work colleague, spent decent amount of money on pies, sausage rolls, bread and bread rolls! Had to try the seeded bread roll right away and sweet Jesus, this is the best GF bread I had in 5 years since I had to stop eating gluten, seriously I have goosebumps just writing about it! Kitchen Green is literally gluten free Nirvana. Cherie and her magical chefs create the most delicious coeliac friendly food in Sydney. The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing. Oh... and the coffee is some of the best you will find. GF baked goods are their specialty - the sort of good you can almost never find when you are coeliac. It is great food that you would never know is gluten free - but it is!!

One other staff member fluffing around after 5 min another staff came out from back area eating. The staff member was very nice . I ordered and left. The food I bought was delicious. Visited on a sat just after lunch, was super excited about trying my first GF sausage roll ever and... they were sold out. The girl at the counter was super rude and didn’t offer any alternatives and sort of just shrugged. Traveled by train and bus to get there since the CBD location is closed and... probably won’t be back. Ended up with a caramel chocolate twist pastry (delicious!) and a pan au chocolat (not good - was SO heavy, like 1/4 kg heavy for a tiny pastry).
