I had a lovely experience here at Mellow Beans during the week for lunch. The staff are so welcoming and seems like they know their regulars personally, loving the friendly atmosphere. In terms of the food, it's not extremely fancy but everything I tried is just so flavourful! The baos were so tasty and fresh, and the buns were nice and soft. The chilli scramble was light and fluffy. The chilli jam they served with it was absolutely delicious. They also have a range of sweet treats in the counters, I really enjoyed the danishes as they were so nice and fresh. Ditto to all previous comments. It is service with a friendship focus. However also professional in their customer relations. The menu open to wide choice. The meal of choice eggs benidict, was great and exceeded expectations. I would with out reservation reccomend Mellow Beans. 10+.

Superb. They give a high priority to food quality and it is evident from the fresh vegetables through to the self-made hash browns. Great coffee. Went two days in a row and the staff remembered me. Prices are reasonable, coffee is great, good spot to work while waiting for a meeting. Many seats meant no pressure to finish/go. Definitely the city's best breakfasts. Closed weekends. Staff all seem to be travellers on work visas. Very popular with local workers and well known to contractors. Reliable quality.

Food is fresh and they have Good breakfast deals ie. $6 - bacon and egg sandwich plus coffee. Both were decent. Okay for a quick bite (lunch or breakfast). Plenty of dining space inside and out.

This was a last minute decision to go here. Their online presence is a little iffy about whether they actually serve full meals, so we did pick out two other backup options. Fortunately for us, they did have full dine in service available. Unfortunately for me, they serve two types of chili scrambles - one in the menu, one on the specials board, and the name *is* slightly different. When I ordered, I specified the one in the book, and the waitress asked me a question that is only relevant to the one on the specials board. I clarified that the version I ordered (pointing again at the menu and directing her attention to the description) does not come with flat bread, but with a rosti. Lo and behold, I was served the version off the specials board. 😬 The waiter who sat us also did not clarify there were several types of fresh juice, merely asked us if we wanted drinks before we'd had the chance to look at the menu. It would have been appreciated if he had mentioned there were varieties other than plain orange juice. That said, every element was cooked well, and the flavours were good. I'd still come here again, but I'd probably be more proactive about specifics.

It’s very good Cafe to go whether you just want a quick lunch or a proper brunch! Atmosphere is chill and comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and their food is always fresh and delicious!!! No doubt, just go and grab a coffee with some food you won’t be disappointed!

Was here close by the office building for a short term onsite project. The (short hair) lady, Cindy at the cashier is very friendly and remembers us! Nice chai tea, she put some honey in it which makes it taste better! (Haha and I didn’t get drunk early afternoon with the ginger beer “What’s your magic?” ☕️ Cindy: Passion 👏that is awesome! Wide selection of salad, and not your usual 'run of the mill' items available everywhere else. Healthy, fresh, yet tasty and innovative. Great nutritious smoothies too. The staff are the best; I am treated like part of the family whenever I visit! Very importantly, they are clean and efficient operators with a 'can do' attitude.

Staff are consistently friendly and have provided the DHHS staff with beyond excellent service and assistance in this busy time. The wide selection offers an array of delicious meals, snacks and drinks that cater to every dietary requirement or preference. The atmosphere of the cafe overall, is very warm and everyone is always greeted with a smiling face and a positive attitude, despite the unsettling time everyone is experiencing. Their service is never overlooked by the DHHS staff - with everyone being under a lot of pressure, something as small as taking a step outside the office and be greeted by genuinely friendly staff and amazing service, can turn our day around. First visit for breakfast. Had an Urban breakfast, it was GREAT ! It comprised of four short cut bacon rashers, two lovely poached eggs, mushrooms, fried tomato, spinach and the BEST healthy tasting hash brown I have ever eaten on loverly toasted sour dough bread. Delicious way to start the day. Staff were excellent !!

Great Breakfast! Chilli Scramble is unbelievable! Beautiful, creamy scrambled eggs with bacon, chilli and a light Asian-style salad, served on a light, tasty potato rosti. Looked great on the menu, tasted even better!. Good, standard breakfast menu, all the favourites and great coffee. Fast, friendly service. Well worth a visit!
