More of a delicatessen than a butchery, Suzy's provides many plant based wares for sale and accompanying toasties and homemade pies. I won't comment on the wares but the mushroom, roquette, chevre sandwich on sourdough with a pesto spread was delightful. Pricey at $17 but delicious.

The lady with a fly/flower tattooed on her arm was so helpful and kind. Thank you for your excellent customer service =) GREAT selection of nut cheese at a decent price (close to the price of animal milk cheese). The blue cheese is amazing! Apparently it’s made with the same mould as animal milk blue cheese so it tastes how I remember it tasting. I even saw an ‘All the Things’ cheese for less than a million dollars which is rare. We didn’t buy any of the meats but they looked tasty. We will be back to try them, especially the pastrami. They also sell hot food including pies and sandwiches.

Exquisite sandwiches in a deli setting, lots of vegan goods to sample. I particularly enjoyed the blue cheese and pastrami, Suzys is one of the highlights for vegan food in Sydney.

I've been here twice and I always kick myself for eating beforehand because their sandwiches smell amazing when they're being toasted and the pies look amazing. Both times the staff were helpful in selecting cheeses. Their pastrami and bacon is delicious and they have a large cheese selection from a variety of different brands. The store is wheelchair accessible, the door is a bit heavy but the staff have been willing to help both times I've been!

I'm not gonna lie, I do not like the lasagna nor the burgers at Suzy Spoons. But the vegetarian bacon is the best in Australia, hands down. Worth every damn expensive penny for the veggie bacon alone. Even keep it in stock in the family fridge.

I was looking for a place to order for some plant based sausages for an upcoming Bunnings sausage sizzle and was told to reach out to Suzys. I called the place and told them about our fund raise event for which we wanted to buy some sausages. All I was asked for is the name of the fundraise cause and that was it. I didn’t even ask for a concession. The lady on the other end instantly recognised our voluntary organisation and said she understood our pain and cause and offered us 180 sausages at a significantly lower price. She also helped us understand what varieties work best for fund raises. At the end of the call I said to the lady on the line that we were absolutely delighted and we’d like to thank Suzy. The lady replied, “you just have.. I am Suzy”. We collected the sausages from their absolutely amazing store at new town and wow what a collection they have down here. We have become such a big fan of Suzys despite not being vegans ourselves. Now we are looking forward to holding our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle at Lidcombe tomorrow. And for a change, we will serve the plant lovers the much loved and popular Suzy Spoons Sausages ! Having visited the store, tasted the sausages and spoken to Suzy herself, I’d say you’ve won not just our ratings but a lot of admiration and respect for what you are doing. Thank you Suzy Spoons. We absolutely love your stuff !

An amazing selection of vegan cheese and meat. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The Fine Cultures Smokey Cheddar is my absolute favourite cheese! I'm a regular.

First tried them at the Carriageworks market. Really impressed! I’ve had the kale & cauliflower and the polenta sun dried tomato basil sausages, pepperoni, lasagna and their mince and cheese pie. The taste is really delicious, but most importantly to me the texture is good. I’ve had other supermarket versions of plant based meats that tend to be very dry, lacking in flavor/or too fake tasting and sometimes gritty or tough texture-wise. But these are a revelation! Really succulent and flavorful.

Amazing selection of delicious and wholesome plant based food. The Kale & Cauliflower sausages are a favourite in our family and the mushroom and leek pie is delish! Lady at the counter was an absolute gem, she gave me so much advice about Veganism and protein/iron substitutes. The hot pies here are delicious and such a good, cheap snack to have on the way home. Love the french onion camembert, even my non-vego fam loved what i brought home.

Even if you're gluten free, I would recommend checking out their range of vegan cheeses! Absolutely delicious and so many options!! The BEST vegetarian sausages that have amazing taste and texture. Hard to pick a fav but maybe the kale & cauliflower. Vegan lasagne is incredible - so packed with flavour. Recently tried the mock pepperoni on home-made pizzas and it was good to have a flavour hit. We shop at Suzy`s stall at Carriageworks Farmers Markets and the service is always friendly and happy. I've been there a handful of times and so far my favourites are the Veggie Ball Subs(the vegan cheese is phenomenal) and Chilli Dogs. Definitely one of my favourite places for vegan comfort food. Also the service is good, the staff are friendly. My only criticisms are the tables are tiny and I could easily eat 2 or 3 chilli dogs if they weren't $12 each.

I'm not a vegetarian but read about this place and was intrigued. I bought two kinds of vegetarian sausage (one classic and one spicy) and both were extremely tasty. I won't be exchanging my pork and apple sausages any time soon but they've done a really good job and are a good option for vegetarians at a summer BBQ.

The best supply of vegetarian food you could hope for !! Great sausages and schnitzel, love the freshness. The meatballs were a bit on the salty side but I’d still recommend !! Also you can buy these at some of the health food stores or at Suzy Spoons itself 👍🏼

Fabulous vegan food, all made on the premises from top quality ingredients and definitely made with love. Sausages to die for, and, what is wonderful, is that no animal has had to die for this great taste treat. All vegan sausages, schnitzels, patties etc are made to Suzy Spoon's own recipes, and all are served in the cafe at Suzy Spoon's Vegetarian Butcher. Suzy's cook book will be available in good book shops from October 2014.

Food - 2/2 Ambience - 1/1 Vegan and Vegetarian options - 1/1 Service - 1/1 I actually tasted Suzy Spoon’s at the Newtown Food Festival and I was glad that I stumbled upon them. I ordered all the hotdogs they had on display - Sunday dog, Polenta dog and Chilli dog. My favourite one was Polenta dog because of that zesty sauce! However, that doesn’t mean the other two were ‘okay’ they were equally amazing. I can’t wait to go to their store and try more options!

Gorgeous vegan food, great selection of flavours, LOTS OF GF OPTIONS the smoked chilli sausage and the polenta, sundried tomato and basil sausage. Good cafe however, it's really pricey (6 sausages is $12) so not an affordable breakfast meander. Well worth a visit for any vegan/gf/vego food enthusiast

Recently ordered chilli sausages, rashers and veggie balls for a barbie in the park. The chilli sausages were absolutely delicious, weren't dry and held up quiet well. We may have overcooked the rashers since they were a bit too crispy. With the leftover veggie balls, I made a simple marinara sauce pasta and was very surprised by how packed with flavors the veggie balls were! Best pasta dish I've made in a while, all thanks to the tiny balls of yumminess. Will highly recommend and can't wait to buy from here again.
