Here is a theme done well! Had the pleasure of trying their vegan gingerbread and an oat gingerbread latte on the weekend and it was sensational. Lovely atmosphere too, so if you have time I would recommend eating/drinking in. Had a large over for takeaway for myself and some mates and nothing was too difficult! Lovely staff! Will definitely visit again when I’m in the area.

This is by far my favourite go to place in Harndorf! The staff are very welcoming, always provide great service and greated with a smile. The ambience of the upstairs area is perfect to sit, relax and enjoy the great food. Also laptop friendly which is a bonus. Ashton makes a killa coffee and is happy to answer or modify food if need be. The cute little free Ginger cookie with your coffee adds a homely touch. The in house made turmeric latte is a must try and the vegetarian foccacia is always a 10/10. Vanessa you've caught my eye with this place and will definitely keep coming back

Ham and cheese croissants were nice, slightly overtoasted on the croissant. But we probably waited around 30 minutes for 1 coffee, 1 juice, 2 x Ham and cheese croissants and a slice of banana bread to take away which made us late for our drive home, that's why the lesser stars. However it was nice and coffee was good and came with cute little gingerbread bikkies and the staff were lovely

We stumbled upon this venue during a recent visit to Hahndorf. The gingerbread sign drew us in and while deciding which gingerbread to purchase we noticed the syrup. After an explanation and sample we added some to our purchase. Can’t wait to try it on pancakes, and in coffee again. My husband said it was the highlight of his day!

We visited the Bean & Bikkie cafe on several occasions when we were staying in Hahndorf for the Christmas Markets. I would have to say their gingerbread is the best I have ever tasted. I bought several gingerbread gift boxes for Christmas presents for family and friends and they were such a huge hit. The cafe was one of my favourite cafes to visit and staff/owners were so warm and friendly. Their gingerbread syrup is also very nice to have on ice-cream and pancakes. Cannot wait to visit Hahndorf and of course the Bean & Bikkie cafe when we next go there for our holidays.

Best brunch in ages! We dropped in on a Sunday morning. Covid restrictions mean that the number of people inside right now is limited, but there is still a great buzz with people eating, enjoying great coffee and chatting while they relaxed. Very friendly and hard working staff kept everyone fed and caffeinated, while also dealing with take away orders through the large front window. I had the Smoky bean and chorizo cassoulet, while my partner in crime tucked into a house special omelette. Both were amazingly delicious and accompanied by large Belgian hot chocolates. This place is family friendly, offering some great adult food in a kid safe environment where children are welcome. The clash of cosy eating and working bakery make for a rustic industrial vibe which just feels comfortable and welcoming as soon a you walk through the door.

The salted caramel cheese cake is probably the best cake I've ever had from a cafe. Coffee is fantastic (and comes with a little gingerbread biscuit which is amazing). Service the times I've been there has been faultless. Amazed at this place and so glad I found it. Will be making the trip back to Harndorf just to come here.

The people are friendly and the brunch menu is excellent. Had chilli scrambled eggs and the fruit smoothie, and both were delicious. Also grabbed a hot chocolate and some gingerbread for the road - also delicious. Will return!

It is always pleasing walking into a new cafe and being greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Was recommended the “dirty ginger” coffee and a slice of sticky date cake.
