Comments of Belair Hotel
N. M.
Atmosphere was lovely, staff were great, food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. Pricing was decent and the service was times very well as we had a big table of guests.
Highly recommend popping in for a meal and best of all there's a playground for the kids. So if you're looking to take the family somewhere kid friendly, this is definitely the place.
N. B.
A large Hotel complex set in a great location for a close up and personal view of the Mt Lofty Rangers. Multiple dining and entertainment areas here for public and private use. Well layed out, modern and we'll presented. Plenty of quality Food and Wine on offer to suit any occasion and all tastes..
T. A.
Lovely and spacious with a child's outdoor/indoor play area. The food is fantastic, excellent quality. I did wait 45 minutes for deserts which were forgotten, however the deserts were to die for.
B. J.
Excellent service and friendly staff.
I have been looking for the best schnitzel in Adelaide and finally found one.
It was a chicken one but the sauce was delicious.
All the plates on our table and surrounding one's looked amazing, .
Certainly will return.
Thank you Belair Hotel Staff
N. M.
Modern interior with great atmosphere, solid menu and awesome turn around time on food. Good variety of beers on tap and bottles. Wine selection perfectly reasonable. Highly recommended for a lunch or dinner feed. Bottle shop has prompt service and good range as well.
H. P.
Nice food, friendly staff. Obviously trying to get more fancy, though prices have picked up quicker than the quality of the food. Still a nice place to catch up with friends or family (nice playground for kids behind the bistro too).
m.
Nice modern place to dine, however avoid when busy as it gets quite loud so you almost have to scream to converse with others at your table , else food came in a timely fashion and staff generally quite friendly. We had the bbq chicken pizza and although it was very nice , it definitely doesn’t have much chicken on it. Cappuccino tasty and served hot.
J. T.
Delicious food with a beautiful view of the hills and friendly service.
g. p.
Absolutely perfect, food was lovely, with many options to choose from the menu. Meals came out together and very accomodating staff. Thanks
J.
They serve great food. 👍 Yum. I will back again.
T. S.
OMG. Had the roast of the day. Lamb, roast vegetables, Yorkshire pudding, mint sauce, gravy . The lamb just melted in your mouth, flavours amazing, the only thing that let it down was the roast potatoes. Not crispy and greasy, otherwise amazing. The service was lovely definitely recommended.
J. P.
Nice food, helpful staff. We had a lovely lunch. Would eat here again
J. C.
Casual dining with excellent meal choices! Great variety on usual menu with added choices on specials board. The restaurant also had a good selection on a separate vegan menu which appealed to 2 of our party.
N. D.
Pretty good food, nice range of beers and a busy clientele is always a good sign.
M. M.
It’s a pub! average service and good food, limited Gluten Free options, usuals like Calamari & Hot chips are not GF! There is a limited Vegan menu. Quite loud & busy as there is a huge enclosed play area for kids so
Very popular with young families.
K. V. D.
Family experience! Fantastic food and service Dining area a little noisy because of lots of children but overall a great hotel worth recommending
C. W.
I came here on Monday for lunch with my uncle to celebrate my birthday. I chose it because it's not too far from where my uncle lives at Pasadena and I like the view of the trees from the window. I was also hoping for the fire to be on because it was a cold day.
First of all, I mentioned to the lady who was taking orders that it was good to see vegan cheese available on the pizza menu. She then asked if I was a vegan. I said I try to be, so she gave me a vegan menu! I was impressed by that, but I told her it should have been on display. Her reply was they don't because they don't get much demand for vegan food. That isn't a good reason to me, as most people would not know there is a vegan menu if it wasn't on display and may eat elsewhere if they don't see any vegan food on the menu.
I ordered the vegan curry as I liked the ingredients, especially the cashews, but when my meal arrived I was disappointed to see peanuts on top of my meal instead of cashews. My meal also wasn't very hot. After I enquired to the woman who served me about the cashews, she checked with the kitchen and was told they had run out of cashews and gave me peanuts instead. I consider that to be poor customer service as the kitchen staff should have advised the order taker there was no cashews and if I was willing to have peanuts instead, I should have been given a discount or a free drink or dessert. It is also dangerous giving people peanuts as a diner could be allergic to them.
The fire was not on, also, so that added to the disappointment.
M. M.
Amazing food. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right ingredients. No complaints with service. Pretty good ambiance for a Friday lunch
L. S.
Great menu, fantastic play area for kids. Didnt see them most of the night. Kids meals came with chips and vegetable sticks which we loved. Nice decor and very friendly staff.
T. M.
A beautiful pub family friendly but menu was limited and was attempting to be generic Italian bistro. Have been previous and loved it but this time a little disappointed with menus variety.
J. O.
Great meals, great service very busy so book ahead
D. T.
$16 share plate - is soft shell crab sliders (changes weekly). Good value for money!
$20 for a nice char-grilled burger with fries. Burger bun couldn't quite stand up to the heft of the burger though.
Good ambience.
e. s.
great food for the price. it's was very crowded though, and due to its bad acoustics I couldn't hear my partner sitting 10 inches away across the table.
H. K.
Absolutely fantastic..beautiful setting, meals great, service 1st rate. Would highly recommend
J. B.
It was great. Celebrated my Grandson's 6th birthday. The roast lamb meal was amazing. Will get a cocktail next time too.
H. S.
I hadn't been there for long time but this hotel is really good. A great place to bring kids as well. The food was generous and tasty. The service very friendly.
B. B.
It was good the drinks were given straight away the food took 20-30 minutes the burger I got was alright
R. M. P.
Staff are lovely, food was so devine & very quick service.. Even pokie room is soo comfy and Emilia was very nice..
R.
Awesome food at a reasonable price. The beer was cold and the staff were very friendly. The kids enjoyed the playground while waiting for their meals. Will definitely be back.
D. A.
Menu changes more often than the line up of the Sugababes.
Kitchen is very well run. Toilets (including baby change) need deeper cleaning.
A. F.
Had my 18th here - event manager was so friendly and accommodating, flexible and was available last minute for changes etc. Great venue with amazing food, so
glad I had it here!
S. B.
The food was lovely and the staff were great at making you feel special. Good range of craft beers
C. E.
The food was absolutely amazing and excellent customer service 👌
S. R.
Food was great, service too, lovely vibe and atmosphere 👌
C. M.
A nice pub, great meals and very affordable, join there social club to get more benifits.the gas fires and outlook make this a restfull and peacefull place to entertain your guests. Well worth the visit and make sure you check out the kitchen.over all very impresive.
R. M.
Pretty good pub feed, nice menu, good variety and reasonable pricing.
M. H.
1kg of scrumptious wings and 2 imperial pints of tasty beer for $30 on Wednesday nights is a favourite with my family. Front bar has a good vibe.
The rest of the menu that I've tried is good too.
Heaps of space, plenty of outdoor seating, and a kids area too.
B. T.
Nice spot for family-friendly meals with views good for looking out to the hills and for train spotting.
The kid’s play area has plenty to entertain the young ones and the kids menu has a decent selection of favourites.
Q: Why are mushrooms invited to all the parties?
A: Because they’re such fungis.
For vegetarians, there are a number of decent options. The tofu poke bowl (with optional salmon) is a great mix of pickled vegetables, soy beans, kale and various mushrooms all with their own distinct flavours.
Heads up on the public holiday surcharge though.
T. P.
Sensational service, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice and chilled. The chorizo hot links were awesome, the BBQ corn and chips were excellent accompaniments and a good selection of beers. 10/10.
L. 5.
Had a midweek lunch here after many years since our last visit. Our table of 4 was very impressed with the quality of the meals that came out and the atmosphere was nice. The only negative was the rather lengthy wait for both main and dessert, but apart from that quite impressed.
I. N.
Really nice place :) had great food and the best hamburgers and calamari in town. Really good playground area for kids. Only down side is that it’s very noisy inside because it echos loudly.
S. H.
Had a small function here in the function room. Views were quite good, staff were very friendly, polite, and accommodating. There were a couple of gluten intolerant and vegan meals and chefs happily made different meals for them. Lunch was tasty and dessert was delicious.
r. t.
Lovely lamb burger. Very family friendly. Service was very slow though. 20 mins for kids ice-cream was a bit much
B. S.
Fantastic service from the tall gentleman 'Ross' at the Thirsty Camel. Impeccable knowledge and friendly service, happy to have a laugh and made my buying experience memorable and fun. Also smelt amazing!!! Thank you Ross, I will be back!
E. P. H.
4.5 generous serves, well cooked, delicious food, very good service, nice atmosphere.
J. K.
The new bartender was really nice, helpful and friendly and apologised for being new and slow (even though he wasn't).
Great wine selection.
Good selection of food, including a whole vegan section.
We had live music and he was great.
B. B.
Had a lovely roast pork here.
Was a bit loud at times though, but that can't be helped.
J. T.
Great value Senior lunch, lovely views but service rather slow. Nearly 2 hours for two courses and a coffee
K. C.
Great Beef Brisket and excellent hot sauce options. Matched with friendly service and good beer. Nice work Belair.
s. h.
Christmas deal. $30 Had a huge serving of Turkey . Fantastic meal. Fantastic service .
R. W.
Great place to eat. Good restaurant quality food.
J. L.
I have been to the Belair Hotel several times over the past 5 years or so and am never disappointed. It has a great family friendly atmosphere with access to a playground for the kids. Just went for coffee today, which was really nice but have previously had great meals there too. Always a favourite catch up spot!
D. M.
Nice place, beautiful food! Well done.
A. F.
Lovely lunch here, but please fix the acoustics. It's too loud to have a conversation with the person next to me, even more impossible with those further away on the table. Food delicious, view out the w8ndow quite astoundingly beautiful, but all totally overshadowed by the decibel level.
C. M.
Wonderful meal excellence service. A1++++
B. G.
Nice venue don't expect the food to be as good as the views to the hills, as all 3 dishes pretty boring
L. K.
First time at the Belair Hotel attending a function in the back room. The service and the food menu selection was perfect. Children enjoyed the play area. Worth visiting again.
C. T.
Service was fantastic. Food was disappointing. We've been previously and always had good food so hopefully today was just an anomaly.
M. H.
Great atmosphere,reasonable prices,nice portions
C. B.
Lovely service, very enjoyable.
Food great.
i. m.
Meals were really nice. Service was good and great views.
M. R.
Really nice atmosphere. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Great beer garden and the food was excellent.
C. W.
Food was delicious, service unfortunately completely let the experience down. Wrong orders brought out, meals brought out staggered, long wait times, I was missing a side dish off my meal. Our meals included dessert and after a longer than usual wait we still had to go and enquire about the dessert. Even after then it was a further 40min before they came out.
$$ it is on the upper end of what I would pay for a meal in a bistro and for that price I would expect a better dining experience.
Yes we are a week out from Christmas but even after the patronage had quietened the service was still poor.
K. L.
Absolute great place to stop by for a drink, chill out, and a play on the pokies, staff are awesomely friendly and love the popcorn machine and barista facilities they have in their pokie area
R. B.
Unfortunately our dining experience was not up to Belair Hotels usual standard. Eight for dinner on a Tuesday night, restaurant not too busy. Advised food would be 30 minutes wait. An hour later, we asked. It was then served.
Cold elements, salad dressing was not nice and the boar fish was tasteless. Others left elements on their plates as well. Especially for the prices charged for dishes.
Y. Z.
Tasty food and interesting menu, good service, nice ambience.
B. C.
We had a 90th Birthday party in the function room on Sunday. Lovely outlook. From booking to service to food, all was excellent. Perfect!
H. A.
Great food selection but can be a long wait at peak time (took almost 45 minutes for food on a Friday night, and I booked two weeks in advance!)
Y. D.
The new menu is excellent. We have had several of the new meals and they are full of flavour cooked perfectly. They still have the pub favourites but the new meals are worth trying. We prefer the atmosphere of the new Main Bar area. The staff are super smiley and friendly. Lucky to be locals 👍
D. W.
Pretty pleased with $20 for a Kg of Buffalo wings and two session ales. They got spicier but still tasty
N. C.
Had a great lunch here today. Yummy food & wonderful cocktails! Great service, we will be back!
j. w.
Been multiple times and eaten both when its busy as all hell and when it's a bit quieter, wait times are usually ok but the food is always good! I have never had a bad meal from here, every time im down this way I always come in for a feed
J. A.
Dining area is beautifully set out and the food is of high standard in both presentation and quality. Staff are professional and displayed impressive customer service. I ordered Salt and Pepper Calamari which was in fact the most tender and tasty Salt and Pepper Squid I have ever had. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience👍
R. C.
Food took too long, was dry but management refunded our money and we got a free pizza
L. C.
Great vegan selections, very helpful and welcoming staff
K. H.
Great food... And amazing staff. Thank you for setting a long table with easy access for my elderly grandparents. We all had a great time.
M. T.
We came for lunch on Adelaide Cup day. We hadn't been for quite some time but we always used to come here and loved the food and atmosphere. It was a bit busy and were told our meal may take around 35 minutes. I guess it was a bit longer although I wasn't sure but they brought the meals out and gave us a free drink due to the wait. I thought that was pretty good of them. My husband's steak was a bit more cooked than he wanted still pink etc but not medium rare. We pointed this out to them and they were so apologetic. And refunded my husband his meal. They went out of their way to apologise. I just think that this was the best outcome. It's hard when they are so busy to get everything right.....but they certainly made up for it. Their food is excellent and their customer service is beyond great. Thank you for a great experience.
N. G.
Loved it! Delicious food and great to take kids to.
D. K.
What a wonderful place to spend easter lunch... the staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the meals were wonderful. Our grandson loved the playroom and playground attached will definitely be eating here again.
H. M.
Very nice pub. Good food and selection of beer. Kitchen is in an open air area so can hear the head chef directing!
D. R.
Great service among best friends. A great menu and a view that stretches out across the Adelaide Hills.
What else could you ask for?
T. L.
Great food and service. Loved the view from the bistro all day dining is fantastic! Kids area is great too. A great place to stop for a meal :)
B. S.
great staff I had the fish special very nice but salad was overdressed and limp
z.
Beef and Bacon Burger was fantastic! Really tasty and well made, props to the chefs! But if you don't like kids or at least like dining in their company, ask to be seated as far away from the kids playground as possible. I wasn't sure if i was in a restaurant or a kindy! Never seen so many kids in one place in my life!
J. S.
Friendly, vibrant pub with modern decor, large dining area with 'kids lounge' which boasts a TV showing Nickelodeon, games console and beanbags to relax on. Children's room has plenty of windows allowing parents in the dining area to view children in their lounge. Kids lounge has its own exit door to small outdoor play set but this is more suited to toddlers and little people. Lovely feature fire place for the chilly winter days. Pokie room, sports bar, outdoor dining area and main bar serving bar meals and is separate from the busy family dining room. Food is good and reasonably priced with 'kids eat free' and other promos. Worth booking at peak times. Drive thru bottle shop and ample car parks.
R. F.
They will get more stars when their steaks aren't all fatty and cooked to our liking.
F. F.
If you're ordering food, don't order something standard like the schnitzel. My guess is, the chef's cook the more interesting stuff better because it's something different for them. Generally quite relaxed and modern feel, but the entire staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there at all. We had a particularly horrendous barman who had zero patience. He did everything like he had no time for it and like he was better than working there. Fact is he does, and that's not really the patron's fault. Really unprofessional.
Keep your staff happier and this would have been a 4-5 star. Food will be nicer, service will be better (can't just expect to make the pub look nice and have it BE nice).
W. S.
Good food. Good atmosphere. Great fun at trivia night Tuesday nights.
P. D.
Decent food. Nice location. Can't help the clientele.
Has a good menu including several vegetarian and vegan options. In the right part of the dining room you get a nice view of the Mt Lofty ranges. Prices are about average for this sort of eatery.
Our biggest annoyance when we went was the number of often squealling and unruly kids let free to climb over the chairs and tables. I felt sorry for the management who had a sign asking parents to keep kids under control which was widely ignored.
A. N.
Tasty lunches and friendly service, albeit a little overpriced for a pub.
P. S.
Met up with friends for a meal. Well presented and prepared meals - good serves on plates, very well priced. Left content , just a tad more than enough to satisfy. Very good vibe - family orientated in the bistro bar where we went - very busy. Check it out!
D. G.
Very well set up and loved the fire place in the restaurant area. The meal was good but they need to put more garlic on their garlic bread.
C. P.
Nice big tables which are good for groups. Good for kids with playground and kids meals with game sheet. Meals were good but the pork belly serves were a bit small.
D. O.
Sometimes the foods fantastic. Sometimes it’s average and sometimes there’s a long wait . Buffalo Wings on a Wednesday night special are superb if only you could have a cold lager with them on special instead of a dodgy craft beer . Cheaper beer in the sports bar than the over priced front bar . Roasts are pretty good
Went again Sunday. Had a butchers cut rump
One of the best steaks I’ve ever had
K. P.
Saturday night, in the little dining area outside of the pokies area. Away from the crowded boisterous main dining room. Great service, and I had the Three Little Piggies Pizza. It was really good, with exceptionally thin delicious crispy crust, and not swimming and dripping with cheese. Had the price of it not been so high I would have given 5 stars instead of 4.
B. K.
Nice food, great establishment. Had the gluten free southern fried chicken burger. Chicken crumb was a little burnt, but overall really nice.
Nothing against the venue but for time of night (8:00pm) did not expect so many kids...
B. “. M.
Always accommodating with good food. I like the flexibility of the venue, but I miss the pork cracking pizza. A long standing steadfast venue in the Blackwood area's local Business landscape. Good for family dinner, a quick feed, a game of pool, or a few beverages. Keep doing what you've been doing.
D. A.
Great food... Great service just took awhile to get food. Felt like Chefs were under the pump. Otherwise we enjoyed the experience.
R. W.
The food here is really tasty and reasonably priced. A good range of wine and a number of areas to enjoy it. The hours slipped by quickly which is a good sign. I've been here many times for lunch or just a drink and enjoyed every visit. Highly recommended.
T. W.
Simply the best. Not cheap, in fact quite expensive for a 'pub', but easily the best menu you will find outside of the CBD. Excellent range of boutique beers on tap, exquisite surroundings and decor, a real treat.
A.
Ok, meal was ok not too busy pricing a little high but not overly crazy
P. W.
I like this pub. Good food and friendly service in bottle shop!
P. T.
Good, friendly service and good food (although a couple of dishes were fairly salty) in an attractive, pleasant setting with indoor play area for the little ones. The wine was also good but be aware that this is a busy and noisy bistro setting, not a quiet, exclusive, dining environment. All in all, a very nice setting.

On behalf of my mum:
On the 13th September, 2020 my mother celebrated her 90th birthday lunch at the Belair Hotel. It was such a lovely occasion made extra special by the hotel staff.
A special THANK YOU to Leah, the events co-ordinator who assisted me in the planning, and effortless organising of the event. She handled all my anxieties and questions about the event, professionally and with great reassurance.
On the day of the event, Sam took charge of the event, and certainly outdid himself! He handled the afternoon’s event with much ease and skill, never wavering in his friendliness. I was asked by a few ladies to find out if he was “free” as they had single daughters they wanted to introduce him to. THANK YOU so much Sam, not only for your professionalism, but for going that “extra mile” to make the lunch such a success.
As for the catering staff- all persons present said that the food was simply delicious. They did have one complaint though: “the serves were so generous”, and Sam had to supply take away containers for those who did not wish to leave the delicious food behind.
A big thank you to an awesome group of people. You do an outstanding job , and such an asset to the Blackwood and Belair community!
k. h.
Only place that allows cocktails and has sexy staff
J. W.
food service was good, enjoyed the meal, staff friendly
J. H.
We had a private function. Excellent spacious room. Limited menu as there were over 40 of us yet plenty to choose from. Selected Mexican bowl. Disappointed that almost all of the dish was served as a cold dish. Even if the beans were warm would have improved the meal 100%.
M. M.
Great local pub. Prices have been rising consistently which makes it hard to rate as it is a typical pub. 10$ for a beer is just too much for Adelaide.
M. P.
Fabulous hotel - first time visiting and will definitely be back. Great food, great atmosphere and we had such a lovely night. The staff were fabulous!
G. R.
Standard comfortable middle-class hills pub
E. B.
Great family restaurant. Reasonably priced pub meals. The food is excellent at times, but we have had a few meals that isn't as great.
Great kids play area but door to indoor play area is next to entry/exit and we have seen kids slipping out to car park.
Good coffee and friendly staff.
J. W.
I had a prawn and blue swimmer crab linguini and it was delicious. Staff were very efficient and delivered meals promptly. We will certainly go here again.
J. v.
The food was ok, but my steak which I ordered was very rare, I ordered medium done. I couldn’t eat it. Service was quite poor, no water offered at the table. The rest of the food we had was really nice, the wine list is great.
They could improve on service and educate the chef on how to cook a steak. My husbands steak was charcoaled..
atmosphere was nice tho.
S. M.
I have been the Belair many times over the past few years and mainly because they accommodate children so well. My kids love the play area and spend the majority of the time in there (I like to go down the slippery dip too).
I have never been upset with my meal and am always full. They also have a great range of beers on tap.
M. D.
We had an amazing takeaway meal from here during the Covid lockdown - an amazing special of 2 pasta dishes plus garlic bread and a bottle of cleanskin wine for $30!! We had the vegetarian gnocchi for the pasta meal, and it was one of the best gnocchi dishes I have ever tried. Very high end restaurant-quality food at excellent prices. Looking forward to going back and dining in :)
M. 4.
Was a nice meal at a reasonable price.
Always very busy. Very pleasant atmosphere family friendly restaurant. I had a beautiful crispy skin pork belly meal. Very well done. Its a good idea to pre book as it can fill up fast. Only problem we had was finding a car park. We drove around both car parks for about 10 minutes and then needed to park in the street across the road.
N. W.
Last minute decision to go for Sunday lunch (2pm) with the kids (8yr and 2yrs). My wife's lamb roast was the best since being in Australia (9yrs)...just missing a Yorkshire Pudding! 😀 The BBQ chicken pizza was very good and the kids options are pretty good too. The place was busy but service was still in good time. Atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The kids loved blowing off some energy after lunch in the outdoor play area! The staff we dealt with were courteous and helpful. We'll be back again!
K.
Great hotel, the design is great, the seating and dining options are great.
The menu is creative pub foods. The drink selection is excellent. I also think the staff areal great and helpful. We had a large group and we were very well looked after.
A. B.
Happy place with a wide variety of dishes good service and a warm atmosphere enjoyed by people of all ages.
J. M.
good food. good service
R. W.
Much transformed from it's past horrors, it is now a modern family-friendly pub with multiple rooms and outdoor areas enjoying excellent views over a Belair national Park vista. Good food. Excellent drink options, including good gin selection. Can be quite busy and noisy and the witching hour. Often find you have to wait a fair while for food, but usually worth the wait, definite good renovation and worth a visit
B. S.
Very good food with a wonderful ambiance, just renovated and carpeted so quieter than tiled floors, good for talking
D. E.
Great service, and awesome food. I thought the $42 price tag for a Parmy and 2 pints was over-priced. I hope pubs and hotels don't try and make up for lost time.
E. M.
Really really nice pub to go to. Very cozy, yet spacious. Food is delicious and staff were decent although they did need some prompting to hand out menus etc. Food is a bit expensive but the portions are large and adequate.
A. T.
Lovely meals and setting. Had Salt and Pepper Squid and wedges. Great flavours and the aioli was delicious. A glass of Pikes pinot gris topped it off.
J.
The food is above average. But you can't hear yourself think in the dinning room on any night of the week because unsupervised kids just swarm the place. The place looks more like a upper class McDonald's with its playground attachment. Not a nice place for a pleasant evening.
I. C.
Was ok ... sadly just pub food.
I just can't get excited.... over food like I can cook better at home and cost less
A. D.
We love this place! The main bar is quieter and more relaxed than the bistro. The menu changes seasonally, and the quality is superb. They use fresh local produce as much as possible, and the wine menu showcases some great SA wines.
B. M.
Definitely a big improvement since my last visit. More choices, I had a steak, really enjoyed it 👌
R. V.
$67.50 for 2 Beef schnitzels a Pint and a Spirit n Coke.
No worries mate, but give me a schnitzel.
Ate it because I couldn't be bothered! Kitchen looks functional. How staff allowed it to come out as a meal....i can only put down to inexperience.
Probably should have a weight or size limit. Mine was small and overcooked. Probably worth $4.90 at a below average fish shop.

A lovely newly redeveloped Hotel with great seating and a beautiful view of the hills behind. Service is friendly'ish, we were there at lunch time and unfortunately so we're 100 local seniors, as they have special lunch pricing between 1pm and 3pm for seniors.
So, apart from their noise it was a very pleasant experience, the food was great (medium pricing) and the atmosphere very nice. Sit by the window and enjoy the view!
K. M.
Wonderful pub. Great meal. Friendly staff
D. J.
Excellent wings, friendly staff. Pool table. All you need. Oh and good beer, though would like more choices in the bar.
D. S.
Great food including a decent vegan selection, friendliest staff I've come across in some time. Plenty of TV's if sport is your thing and nice fireplace. Only loses a star for the hordes of children running amok in bistro and main bar seemingly unsupervised by parents.
G. F.
Very tasty food and extremely friendly staff.
Only reason i didn't gove 5 stars is the bruchetta was 3 slices of crusty bread, some vine tomatoes sitting on the smallest amount of sticky balsamic.
No thought or effort put into it.
But a great place for kids with its play ground. The food is generally spot on.
T. H.
Currently renovating the kitchen 12/10/19, so come christmas or 2020 it will be a great place for a meal. Music was too loud to talk but service and food was good. I will certainly go back to try the new kitchen and larger menu.
R. M.
Great meal. My steak was cooked to perfection. Really friendly service too.
S. W.
Good pub. have a family area, pet friendly front area and some good meal deals. Can't really go wrong.
R.
I love this place. Haven't been here in years but just discovered they have an Acoustic band on Fridays.. The menu choice was a little underwhelming and a little overpriced. Not many options for vegetarians or people that want to know if their meat is free range. Will visit again, but i feel like the quality of the hotel has slipped a bit over the years.
N. L.
The best roast lamb at a pub we have ever had, a perfect ratio of roast veg to meat.
J. o.
on fathers day, we were double booked for 12 people, the quick thinking staff, put my group in the conferance room . Kids could run around ,meals were good, made it one to remember. Well done
M.
Good venue and good food. My salmon and salad was pretty interesting in flavour profile, not something I would order again.
D. B.
Lovely late pm sunny spot to stop and have a glass of fizz. Great staff and Range. Our local!
B. C.
There was a lot to like about the Belair hotel.atmosphere was really nice food was really nice location excellent but a few drawbacks. Had to wait Very long time for the meals they came out staggered (not at the same time) and meals were way too big. If the fixed that I would give them a lot better rating.
R. M.
Another hills eatery that has had a substantial makeover! Dined in a few times and food was adequate and front of house and behind bar staff were good. Certainly will miss the Belair Hotel of the 70's. Now that really takes me back to simpler times when one NEVER dared dine there for fear of gastro. It was great place to drink like a fish, smoke like a chimney then depart the car park with massive burnouts. It really was a horrible dump.
But not anymore.
J. C.
The kitchen is clean and visible which I personally think is important. We went for wings night and had the pharoah wings which were not very nice. Service us always good and staff friendly but not really keen on the food.
J. R.
Good service, drink selection, and food
M. J.
Great views and excellent play area for the children. Eggplant parmy and crab linguine not my cup of tea though.
B. S.
Attended the hotel for lunch. 8 people. Excellent service from walking in until we departed by the bar and wait staff. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced.
A. r.
Excellent dish! Great presentation!
D. C.
Great environment, lots of different areas.
Big meal. Fresh with Quality vegy's. Accommodating. BUT!!! you may have to book as you may miss out...LOL.
M. W.
It's a nice hotel with pretty good food, but it really isn't any different to all the other suburban hotels that have had a makeover in the last 10 years.
The playground (for young kids) is good and the games/tv room for the older kids is a nice touch.
A.
Great location, was busy even on a Tuesday night. Great burger with perfect crispy chips. Also a great selection of beers on tap.
D. C.
We loved the Belair Hotel.i was with a mate of mine. And we both had the Sausage Mash and onions. Very very nice, lots of flavour we enjoyed it.
The service was very good although there were not many people there.
A. S.
Went to get some dinner in front bar, the guy behind the bar was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu and deals. Food was delicious and highly recommend the barramundi bites
G. B.
Good menu selection. Food was nicely cooked and well presented. Recommended booking before going to avoid disappointment? as very busy. A trendy, gastro pub for the hills.
R. E.
Dropped in for lunch at the Bistro (3 of us)
We all had different meals and all were excellent.
The staff were very polite and an asset to the business.
Thoroughly recommended.
D. C.
First visit after a long break away. The Belair has picked up their game again and we had a great meal - ribs and wings.
As usual, unless you have kids, the front bar is the place to eat as it much quieter than the bistro.
One thing that has never changed at the Belair is their fantastic friendly and helpful staff.
R. M.
It's ok, not particularly friendly in the front bar though.
A. L.
Average food although prices are high compared to similar establishments. Dining experience marred by poor acoustics in the venue, meaning patrons having to almost shout to carry on conversation.
J. J.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lived close by some years ago, so nice to revisit. Mind you it was pretty ordinary back in those days. Keep up the good work, we will support you.
K. H.
Front bar, steak was great with a fantastic mushroom sauce and then stayed for Tuesday evening quiz night, bit of fun.
G. C.
Flathead meal was very disappointing. Obviously cut into thin strips and heavily battered to give an appearance of a larger meal.
Meals were slow in coming on not a busy night.
Service of drinks and meal ordering were good.
V. C.
Food was lovely, service was warm & friendly. Can get busy and food might be a little slow but that just means more time to chat.
A. P.
Great atmosphere friendly staff and great little areas for childrens play and entertainment. Food was awesome but next time will be asking for the vegies to be cooked for a little longer...minor thing. Overall excellent & highly recommended!
I.
I had the vegan burger and oh. my. GOD. Delicious!!!!! Definitely the best vego/vegan burger i've ever had, and i've had lots around Adelaide. Friendly staff and super clean too.
P. L.
It was really nice to come here. It's a comfortable place to be and it is also family friendly with different areas where you can choose to eat. The only downfall is that the consistency with food seem to be noticeably different between cooks.
V. K.
Bookings advised for Friday and Saturday nights. Gets busy, so up to 45 minutes wait on food. Kids meals come out super quick. Then the kids go and play in the play area. Meals were great.
M. B.
The service was fantastic, it gets loud because it is busy and the acoustics make it louder still, the food was enjoyable
G. M.
ok - willing to give it another go after restrictions. having to walk to the other bar when the bistro has tapped their kegs is average. waited some time to be seated due to booking sheet misplaced
B. F.
Great lunch place. Good food & service
M. S.
Great place great food and service wish we lived closer 😁
J. B.
Dined in the restaurant on Wednesday 29th of May and found the food to be of a good to very good standard apart from one of our party having to send a steak back which was supposed to be medium but was very rare.
I was disappointed to see that the prices are edging upward to the top end of restaurant prices like many hotels who seem to have forgotten that they are hotels and not Michelin Star restaurants.
F. W.
Always a present expirience. Grest food but can be a bit loud if you go on a busy night.
L. W.
Friendly and helpful service from all the staff.
G. I.
Great place for a beet and a catchup...
L. D.
Menu generally good, service can be erratic at times. Outside of busy periods, this is a great place to relax and enjoy.
L. G.
Great service. Food was nice. Good value kids meal and play area although couldn't use outside as it's not covered and wet due to rain.
D. K.
Really Nice Venue. Staff Friendly & Helpful. I Ordered a Scotch Fillet Steak with Vege's (Birthday Dinner). My Friend & I Ordered the Same Meal. He asked for Medium Rare whilst I Requested Medium - Well Done but 'No Blood' (please). Both Steaks came out within a 20 minute time frame. Beautifully Presented. Both Steaks were Rare but my Friend is fine with Rare. I however had to wait for another Steak to be Cooked. When it was Served, it was Very Nice. So, just make sure you are Clear & Double Check how you like Steak Cooked. Plenty of Parking Available. Free Wi-Fi for Customers however, do be aware that when you Sign in - a Notification is Posted on Facebook to let everyone know! Wheel Chair Parking & Access Available. Recommend.
D. B.
We have enjoyed family meals here many times. There is a playroom for the kids, which helps entertain the little ones. Place can get very busy so if you don't time it right, food can take a long time to get out.
M. W.
I enjoyed dining here
c. G.
Since covidwe have been getting takeaway wings and schnitzels every Saturday night, they are beautiful packaged and taste amazing. Please keep it up post Covid
R. H.
My Family and I enjoy visiting the Belair Hotel for Lunches over the weekend and occasionally for a weekday dinner. I have found the food really good, well presented and the staff always helpful and willing. A specific manageress comes to mind, her name Andrea, a real asset to the business. ushered us in, took our order showed us a table and even followed up during and after the meal. Where does one find such service? Smiling and what is great there is a family atmosphere at the Belair Motel. My wife and I call it our "Happy Place".
C. K.
Friendly staff, great views - a nice place and reasonable prices
S. T.
Chicken Caesar burgers are amazing there!!! They also come with chips and this amazing dip. Only criticism is that I don't like their salad dressing which is vinegar.
Atmosphere is great
J. S.
We were the hotel with a group of elderly people for the lunch outing. They enjoyed the meals and the staff were great.
J. F.
Every time we go to the Belair it's good. Great service, great food.
A little quiet as you would expect on a Tuesday.
J. W.
Not a bad meal. Service was good . Its good that its family friendly but way too many children just running around. A lot of parents sipping wine while their children ran wild . No supervision. Wouldn't go again.
J. R.
Great place but small portions
D. N.
Sunday lunch. Had the battered flathead and the bacon burger with extras. Cooked to perfection. So great food, excellent service, no complaints, will come here again.
T. S.
Open windows by a diesel train line ruined the atmosphere. The food was ok and reasonably priced. Lots of seating and has a nice lounge area to meet people before dinner.
S. C.
Large pub with plenty of room for groups, heaps of TVs around to watch the footy. The food selection is pretty good and well priced. Plenty of beer available in their selection
J. E.
Nice place to enjoy a fair drink
J. J.
A great place for casual dining experiences
C. M.
Clean, spacious. Meals were prompt & enjoyable. Staff were friendly & courteous.
K. D.
Fantastic service. Great food and excellent prices..
M. H.
The food was good and well priced. Large selection of drinks
T. G.
Excellent food and if you eat in the rear bar it's nice and quiet. The main restaurant space can get pretty noisy.
J. 2. C.
Always have great food and wine selection and kids play ground!!
N. H.
Always good food, good vibes, lovely staff. Kids always have a ball!
R. P.
Pancake entrée was delicious. Main course generous, filling and tasty. A popular place for families and celebrations. The staff were helpful and friendly as usual.
C. S.
Great food excellent service. Congratulations great evening excellent selection of boutique beers.
t. b.
Awesome local pub, classy and good food.
Needs to be set out better so there is somewhere to stand up, dance or enjoy yourself after a meal.
J. S.
Well there's some money spent here 😮 great location up in Belair so easy to get to, extensive menu with some up market dishes, definitely worth a look,, I didn't get photos unfortunately wish I did.
R. N.
Not perfect but a nice place to eat. Better for meat lovers rather than vegetarians. Bit of a rush for prime dinner time then it gets quiet.
m. M.
Packed house thought our party of 6 would miss out, but the attentive restaurant workers soon found room for us.
Good food, good service, what more can one ask?
C. R.
Nice place with magnificent views.
The food was great but a bit expensive for fish and chips.
E. J.
Fantastic food. We were all really happy with our dishes.
M. M.
Always busy, food is nice. Front Bar is the place to be
S. W.
Wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce are temporarily off the menu due to COVID, but the kitchen found some for us anyway. Yum!
L. C.
Absolutely love the food here, the service was fantastic and it is such a beautiful place.
M. T.
Had the brisket for 2 . Beautifully cooked . Could of been a lunch for 3 people. Great prices and large meals. Will go again.
R. A.
The upgrade was much needed, but service could improve. Menu is nice. Food isn't consistent however, but on average is okay. Kid friendly.
K. P.
Absolutely beautiful overlooking the hills. Allows for opening the big windows on a nice day. Food was great and so was service. Will be back when we can!
M. S.
Great space and a kids area. Expensive though average $90 for a family of four. Kids eat free days are worth tracking down but be sure to book.
B. S.
Cavernous pub filled with families with kids. Good if you are a family with kids, go there. Not really great if you're looking for a quiet night away from the kitchen as a couple.
A. S.
Good pub feed, nice atmosphere. The fireplace is inviting on a chilly evening. Handy number of on tap offerings.
B. G.
How many times do you have to go before you're considered a local?
B. H.
Great views from the restaurant, well proced meals and delicious menu items. Happy and friendly staff make the dining experience above the rest.
H. M.
Standard modern Aussie pub with a front bar, sports bar, restaurant and expensive (by comparison with other local bottle shops) drive through. Food is good, not great, as is the beer selection.
J. O.
Excellent kid friendly atmosphere, amazing food and great service. Have been very happy with my experiences.
C. L.
Was a great lunch right next to the fireplace. Roast of the day was perfect.
R. B.
Nice food, a good selection of regular and craft beers. Nice decor.
M. F.
Great service, and good bread 👍
R. F.
Pretty good selection of beers and the normal alcoholic beverages. The food comes cheap I'd you're in the bar. Great Schnitzel with a beer deal!
J. “. H.
Character plus in its element. Adelaide is only just becoming viable towards a new level of business and excitement. J
J.
The food is above average. But you can't hear yourself think in the dinning room on any night of the week because unsupervised kids just swarm the place. The place looks more like a upper class McDonald's with its playground attachment. Not a nice place for a pleasant evening.
B. S.
Cavernous pub filled with families with kids. Good if you are a family with kids, go there. Not really great if you're looking for a quiet night away from the kitchen as a couple.
A. S.
Had a lovely meal. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There is even a playground for kids
G. C.
Flathead meal was very disappointing. Obviously cut into thin strips and heavily battered to give an appearance of a larger meal.
Meals were slow in coming on not a busy night.
Service of drinks and meal ordering were good.
M. E.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere warm and cosy.
J. B.
Good food and drink prices, could do with a bit more menu options. But duck ragout oasta was divine.
L. G.
Delicious food, good service and great atmosphere for the kids.
A. F.
Friendly service, clean, family friend and delicious food.
E. H.

Good food, however not a place for a quiet meal with the children's play area next to the dining area.
D. H.

G. B.
Excellent food, wine and service again .

M. K.
Just a average meal. Salt and pepper squid salty . Snitzell crumbs laking flavour.
S. M.
Fantastic kids playground situated right next to the dining area so we could relax with a drink and watch the kids run around on the play equipment in relative peace.
P. P.
Efficient friendly service and great food at reasonable prices. Good Seniors deal.
L. B.
Bit pricey (both the draught beer and meals) for a pub meal. Staff friendly but probably won't go back.
