The food and coffee here are always excellent. On my last visit a few days ago I had one little niggle. They routinely serve croissants to tables along with plastic capsules of butter and jam for the customer to apply at the table. On my last visit a few days ago one of the plastic capsules of butter I received at my table was frozen and rock hard. I complained and the manager agreed that in future his staff would ask at point of sale if the customer wanted croissants buttered and jammed by the staff before they serve them at the table or brought to the table by wait staff with capules of butter and jam for the customer to apply. Well done Cibo Hutt Street for listening to your customers !

I remember when you could take the stairs up to the 1st floor room and the outside area up there, but it seems it is off limits now. Perhaps an issue for staff potentially stumbling down the stairs. What ever the reason it is a shame. It use to be a good get away place upstsirs. This is a reliable coffee pitstop. Open on those days when other places are closed. Generally speaking the next door flower shop is open on those odd days as well with this coffee shop. Good opportunity to get some flowers. Parking is generally good off Halifax or hutt st as i have never had issues on the weekend The coffee is good. Seems like new staff everytimr when i do make it around.

its fine for the price, but the sandwiches names are like 50 words long, and you dont get served in front of them when there is a line, so when you ask for a chicken type sandwich its a gamble of what type of chicken sandwich your going to get. like today, i thought i was ordering one particular roast chicken roll thing, and i got some other chicken roll thing. just give them normal names that are different from each other, or give them numbers.

A great Cibo, lots of outdoor and indoor seats, fast service. Can be very busy - for example at 11am on Dec 30 there was a queue of 10 people waiting to be served.

I visited the Hutt Street cibo (corner with Halifax St.). The nice thing about this branch is that it's located just near the flower shop and if you're lucky as I was, you can sip your coffee facing a very beautiful flower collection (it might be a disadvantage if you're allergic, but then you can opt for the indoor sitting, which is nicely, Starbucks-like designed). This exactly branch offers sandwiches, ice creams, muffins and I think everybody can find something. The prices are average to high (5 aud for a cold coffee, no extras added is kinda high). The washroom is mostly clean, but has no hook or shelf to put your handbag, so prepare yourself 🤔😁

Love a good Cibo! Staff are lovely, however there has been a few times where my coffee tasted terrible and I wondered if it was because of a chemical they cleaned the machine with? Or maybe it was the Barrister? Not sure.

Having read about the upstairs balcony from another google guider, I dared the stairs and stepped into the outdoors, away from the chatter, and into my own oasis to bask in the sun. With large cafe umbrellas available for shade on sunny days, you can enjoy the shine, without harsh rays. Tip: the upstairs screen door sometimes sticks a bit... don't be afraid to give it a bit of a shove and 'break on through' to the outside.
