Went to this beautiful restaurant for brunch today and it was the best. The staff accommodated us although we were a bit late and we must have overstayed as my friend and I were so emotional. The service was 5 star and the waiter was so friendly and attentive. The food was ordered and brought out swiftly. The food ....... was off the chain. Tasty +++ 5 star and the portions were nice and filling. Healthy 5 star ⭐️ suitable for Vegetarian 5 star and for anyone who loves a bit of meat or fish they also have that in abundance. I’m definitely going back. Went back for lunch the other day and same warm feeling. Now our favourite brunch place.

Was quite disappointed after reading the good reviews! Ordered chorizo skillet and the chicken and waffles. Food was not hot. Waffles were soggy. Nothing tasted like it was freshly cooked to order. Nice atmosphere location and decor though.

A great measure of a place is the people who are happy to line up and how often they are fully booked - both measures applicable to Commissary. The food is really well portioned, tasty and well priced. The customer service is efficient, welcoming and professional. I came here once and knew straight away I'd be back. OMG the pancake breakfast was the most delicious and eye pleasing I have ever had. The fruit around the plate, the orange infused maple syrup and everything was top notch. Staff lovely and service awesome. Recommend highly. 😊

Great coffee and food. A few GF options to choose from. I had the falafel salad with optional GF bread. Chips were also GF. Nice view across the park if you sit outside. Service was prompt and friendly. Great for a couple, business meetings, or even bring a kid or two.

The fresh juices offer too many delicious choices and I joked with my daughter we could easily order one of every drink to try. Great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. Have gone a few times with friends and the service, food and general atmosphere has always been good. Sometimes I’ve seen a line of people waiting outside on weekends for brunch so bookings are recommended.

Lovely spot for coffee and food. Very friendly staff and good service. The coffee and fresh juice were very good as well. We went there for breakfast and ordered two dishes; poached eggs and pumpkin and the omelette. The omelette was so bland and lacking flavours more cheese or salt and pepper might help. The toasted breads were very average ones. The pumpkin and poached eggs were tasty and nicely balanced. Sweetness of the pumpkin, sourness of the cheese and kale were good combinations.

Ordered the sautéed greens and the pumpkin plate. Sautéed greens were sitting in a puddle of water - spinach most definitely microwaved, very mushy. Next to no flavour either - needs a sauce of some kind. Pumpkin plate was fine - once again the pumpkin was clearly microwave steamed, not oven roasted. Coming from a hospo background these short cuts in the kitchen are pretty evident. Willing to try again, but steer clear of the sautéed greens.

Had breakfast on Anzac Day. Crowed and squishy dining area. Food was great, as you can see the egg was cooked perfectly. Coffee was acceptable but lots of room for improvement. 6/10 dinning experience.

Very trendy spot. Can get busy for weekend breakfast but staff will do their best to accommodate you. Great range at fair prices. I would recommend their smashed avo on toast as well as their coffees. We will be back!

The owners have been on the scene for ages, and it shows! Fantastic cafe located across from Victoria Park so it’s perfect for a post run/walk coffee. I’ve eaten at Commissary two times at the time of this post and both times the food has been outstanding. I go most mornings for a coffee and it’s always the perfect temperature and also consistent every time, which is a common issue around the place. It’s a great relaxed vibe and the fit out of the cafe is trendy. Attention to detail everywhere you look including sound proofing on the roof and bottom of the tables which I’ve NEVER seen in another cafe before.

Love this place for brunch, creative dishes. Been here a few times. We booked for 5 for Sunday brunch, glad we did as we had interstate guests and it was packed full, very loud as the interior makes it echoey but we were still able to have a conversation. Really tasty options and reasonable prices. The dessert breakfast menu looks interesting and I will definitely be trying next time. I had the eggs benny and it was cooked perfectly. This place is very busy on Sundays so try to book rather than rock up. Their instagram has great pics of other options if you are curious.

It's nice how they open so early, the perfect location to stop in after a morning walk or simply to watch the sun rise. The customer service and attention to detail was the real stand out for me - welcomed on arrival and will usually grab your coffee order immediately so you have a nice warm beverage whilst you review the menu. I'm a coffee person so the fact the baristas here make great brews is a flying start. The atmosphere and views are lovely, especially across Victoria Park. The place is pricey so be prepared. Arrived without a reservation and the place was buzzing with a good vibe. Ethan who worked there, warmly welcomed us and he was able to find us a table for 2 in the smaller room. He gave us water, took time to introduce us to what is on offer. His personal touch made the dining experience that much better. Ordered the food which was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. Ethan ensured we were enjoying our meals and because he took that extra step, we would be returning. We were not treated like a number but a valued customer. Food was good with the same instagram picture perfect setting, but the attention to the detail and the customer service is the one that differentiates a place from good to memorable and worthy of another return. Delicious food, decent prices, and friendly service. We arrived at noon on a Sunday and Commissary was super busy! Friendly staff seated us quickly, although I recommend making a booking in order to guarantee yourself a seat. The barista was excellent, serving up a great long black and soy flat white. The food and coffees came out pleasantly quickly, especially seeing as how busy they were! Large, satisfying serving sizes, with some interesting menu options that weren’t just your standard cafe fare. Will be back!

Had breakfast here on a Saturday morning, very busy but decent service however we were approached by 3 different wait staff within 5 - 7 minutes of being seated to ask if we were ready to order, food was good, French toast and smashed avocado very satisfying. The coffee... Less than good, very bitter, my mocha tasted more like a strong latte and my partners coffee, a latte, tasted like hot milk.

We just wanted something light on our way to Mt Lofty, so shared the Loaded banana bread and had a coffee each (bonus points for having Milk Lab almond milk)... the service was quick and all the staff were genuinely friendly. Great vibes and we look forward to our next visit - we were already eyeing off everyone else's meals to see what we would order next time!

The food here is very tasty! The location is ok, the view over the park is lovely! But it's sort of odd (it's an old hospital building). It would actually be a very luxury place if they put a bit more into the decor and fixed the acoustic in the restaurant! Very loud and noisy (the dampening material under the tables isn't effective, feels weird when you actually touch it and is falling off half the time!).

I live near Marion and work in Henley beach, but I will go out of my way to the other side of the city to get a coffee and breakfast on my way to work. The coffee is always perfectly made (you won't believe how rare this is) the owners have a passion for customer service and I was astonished at how they can recollect hundreds of individual coffee orders for all of their regular customers. After my first breakfast here I made a point to speak to the chef who made it to complement him. Love this place.

Kind service, good food, nice cosy atmosphere, good for a quick lunch/coffee/takeaway. They have nice orange juice, seems like they put a bit of watermelon in it which makes it pretty good. Burgers are quite nice, pulled pork has rich flavour but can be a little chewy. Falafel wrap is okay, somewhat dry but that's typical. Chips/sweet potato chips are crispy and not too salty. During the day window seats can be a little warm so keep that in mind (or ask for the blinds). Also, their pasta was actually quite nice which was a little surprising. Overall satisfied.

The venue looks out across the Adelaide parklands and its a lovely place to sit and admire the view. Its a good spot to stop if your riding a bike through the city as its just on the outskirts of the city and the food is yum. I stop here often on my bike rides home. Recommended

Smashing service to go with your smashed avo. Went with the girls for brunch as you do and they have us two high chairs for the price of one. Thought one of the girls was announcing a bun in the oven, but no cigar, these guys are just super accommodating. Sat around having a yarn over lattes and long blacks, and the breakie was delish and pretty to boot. My mate dropped her knife and like the hand of God, the waiter was right behind her providing her with a replacement before it the floor. Another nice touch was the padding under the table, crossed my legs and got a nice surprise instead of two weeks worth of black and blue on the knees. 👌🏻

Friends of ours recently recommended this place for breakfast and it definitely hit the spot. It’s a Nice clean restaurant, with a pleasing appearance. Coffee and juice came out quickly after ordering and were of a high standard. The staff were attentive, and even though the restaurant was quite full our breakfast came out not long after ordering, with perfectly cooked eggs, delicious salmon and smashed avo.. it was all very yum. I would like to see a homemade hash brown but I still enjoyed it. Hollandaise sauce was on point and the beetroot hummus had a nice zing to it. all in all a tasty breakfast and a lovely experience.
