Firstly and fairly importantly this place has great coffee! Really nice menu with lots of options for dietary requirements and delicious looking baked goods in the cabinet if you want a little treat. I went there with a few other friends with babies and the staff were really accommodating with 3 prams and tried to make us feel as comfortable as possible.

I ordered through the skip app pulled up in the 15 min bay outside, walked to the entry and was summoned past to collect my coffee order just as the barista was dusting one of the ordered mini cappuccinos. He was lovely, articulated my order and confirmed the different milk type on one particular order. The coffee met the specifications and was held good heat for the journey back to the home office. Thanks, I relayed the story to my wife, we agree the barista ‘makes’ the coffee, no matter what there is to work with. Even a great musician can produce exquisite music with an ordinary instrument. But Deedot have both great musicians and very good instruments.

We have been here many times over the last year and have never had a bad meal, drink or experience. The food is amazing and they are always changing the menu. Deedot is easily our favourite cafe on the Southside. The coffee is always great and the menu, which does change every few months, always hits the spot. The only point of feedback we have is with the Prawn Bao Burger that is currently on their menu at the time of writing this review. The deep fried prawn still have their tails on, which makes it bit inconvenient to eat if you don't want crunchy shell with a bite of the burger. Further, the bun they used when we went for lunch seemed stale? We're not quite sure what happened, but the bottom half of the bun was rock solid and impossible to bite or cut through. We fed this information back to the kitchen, so hopefully they watch out for it for next time. This was, literally, the only error we have experienced in 25+ visits over the last few years. These guys are consistently brilliant and will continue to be our go to breakky joint for the foreseeable future!

We dined at 10:15am on a Saturday. It was a rainy morning. Every table bar one was taken and our bust told us that things had been very busy up until that point. We took that table and in the next few minutes, the rush subsided. The menu was remarkable - so many wonderful things from which to choose. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. The coffee was great. The food was amazing. Every aspect was well presented and flavoursome, with the elements complimenting each other brilliantly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We’ll be back, happy to travel from Ipswich.

Beautiful food but the service variable depends on the group I go with… I don’t want to say that some of their wait staff are discriminatory but unfortunately true. I absolutely love the food and drinks in this place and I frequently recommend this place to my friends. With different groups I experienced different levels of service from the same staffs even when they aren’t busy. It’s unpleasant but I love the food too much.

A really nice and relaxing place to sit. Coffee is well above average and there are Milk Lab milks available. Breakfast was great, we don’t eat bacon so we were able to switch it out to salmon without any fuss, also could’ve switched to haloumi if we wanted. Banoffee smoothie is great. Accessibility note: although there is very nearly level access and the seating would be wheelchair friendly, there is a very small step at the entrance which could be trouble.

This cafe has some amazing food. I had the smashed avo on Turkish with bacon. Every bite was delicious and I could tell they had used quality ingredients. It’s a great little outdoor/indoor patio area to sit and enjoy your meal, while you catch up with friends. Child and pet friendly, makes this a winner.

As a former Holland Park local, Deedot was my absolute go to for a tasty breakfast. Overtime, the menu has evolved and changed, but the food is still wonderful, and the coffee is amazing. If you want to go on the weekend, booking a table is always a good idea for peak times.

Best Frappes, High Quality Menu, Slightly Pricey Quirky and diverse menu with Japanese influences, but still delivers a solid classic cafe menu. The mango, guava + lychee and pomegranate + raspberry frappes were to die for! The Stacks On and Bacon + Hash breakfasts were well balanced; the fetta and potato hash is amazingly light and fragrant tasting. Not many cafes can rival the menu, and despite being ~ $50 for a two person breakfast, the food lives up to the pricing. Overall an a great option for a quality cafe meal out.

This is a rough aggregate of the 4-5 times I've frequented here, mostly for brunch group dates where i've gotten to taste a range of meals. I think the menu has improved over the years, I've enjoyed it here more recently. Presentation of food is amazing and tastes like layers of flavours - a really special place that should be on any brisbanite's brunch bucket list.

I hadn’t been to deedot for quite a while but went for breakfast last week. I ordered the eggs Benedict with house cured salmon and my mum ordered the hash cakes 💥 both of these meals were absolutely delicious, the eggs Benedict had herbed hollandaise which was a nice change from the usual ✨ I’m definitely going to make this place my regular go to breaky spot again because it was 10/10. Reasonable prices and really quick service - I would definitely recommend 👅

I do like coming here. The atmosphere is good, though conversations can be a bit challenging with the road noise, but they are constantly improving their outdoor eating area! If I was to recommend this place to anyone it would be for the quality of their coffee in taste and consistency. The outside seating area is quite run down and could do with a good pressure hose. Coffee cup had chips and cracks in it. We only got takeaway drinks as there was a bit of a wait for a table. Very popular. Want to go again and actually get a table next time and try their food. The coffee here is usually not bad but can vary. The food on the other hand has been really good each time. If they have the specials up and it sounds interesting, get it! The more time attention a cook has to pay to a dish the better. The usual menu they cook every day is good but the specials are usually where the best food from a kitchen is hiding. I got chili crab rosti with scrambled eggs and a chive and chervil salad; I really hope they put it on the menu because I was blown away buy how delicious it was.

Ended up I had to wait a little while for the waiter to organise another table for me. The waiter should take note of this issue to ensure this does not happen again. This review is based on coffee alone : they do a good coffee here. They generally don't over or underextract, allowing the flavour of the bean to be experienced. Further milk consistency is on point and not overdone. They used to have more diversity in their bean choice allowing for an original experience of flavours, my only gripe. That being said. This is one my top 10 consistently good coffee venues for Brisbane/ Goldcoast region -> it's Very Good. Off the topic of coffee, I have found the food here to be exceptional. Try their stacks on! Delicious.

To be honest I was heading for The Rare Pear, but I thought I will try this place. So glad I did, excellent coffee and breakfast was really tasty I had Egg's Benny with crispy bacon and it came just the way I like it. All the staff were very friendly and one gent explained the origin of the Black Sheep Coffee. A thoroughly enjoyable surprise, keep up the great work team. :^)

My first visit in 2018 was fantastic, the chilli crab scramble was one of my favourite breakfasts if the year. Unfortunately, returning in 2020 was a different story. Food and service were overwhelmingly uninspiring, decor was in dire need of a refresh. Perhaps an off day, but I won't be returning to find out.

We went on a Sunday morning, it was really busy and waited before seating which was fine. Once we sat down and ordered there was no check in from staff to let us know there is a wait on the food. Always a pleasure to have breakfast at Deedot. The menu has a range of healthy and interesting breakfast dishes and a drinks menu to rival any cafe. Since the renovations a year or so ago the outdoor seating is far more comfortable. Does tend to get busy so I'd book ahead if dining in a group.

Recently visited Brisbane and my mum had moved just around the corner from Dee Dot. This became my morning coffee haunt as the coffee is excellent (having put up with rubbish UK coffee for years) having this place so close for a few weeks was a god send. Tried breakfast twice it was good but not mind blowing for what seamed like pretty high prices. Quality of the coffee will have me coming back next time I am in Bris though.

Honestly, it's just OK. I've had much better from hallowed ground just down the road. The clincher for me is when they came out after we ordered and advised that the menu recently changed and that we had to pay for a substitute we made. I mean honestly guys, it's $2 worth of stock and you wanted us to come back in and pay the extra because you stuffed up? I wanted to love it, I really did.

Quite average food, coffee wasn't very good. I've noticed a lot of highly rated establishments around Brisbane which just don't live up to their stars. This is yet another one - I guess it's down to the huge area Brisbane covers and the tendency for diners to be local and therefore ratings to be relative to other establishments in the area. Looking around its no doubt this is a 4-5* place relative to its direct competitors but relative to brunch spots in newfarm, the valley, Southbank and west end this place is closer to a 3*

Putting aside the open rubbish bins as you walk down side stairs into cafe, the place didn't feel clean. A simple pre-prepared toastee took forever to toast and the drinks were average. I actually like these people. They understand the nature of addiction, even if the base is legal. I love that I never hear them play Justin Bieber songs, which is also a giant plus. Darian is a worse coffee nazi than I am, choosing to drink water, if a decent coffee is unavailable, for example if traveling in the Simpson Desert, after leaving the Bakery in Birdsville, where one of course is able to get a reasonable coffee to go with one's camel pie. Coffee here is excellent, service is friendly, layout is interesting and one can bring one's pets (within reason).
