Comments of Joedy's Cafe - New Farm

This is a great cafe and has SO much to offer. Super friendly staff! Loyalty program for coffee to download. It’s quick, easy and eliminates another piece of cardboard in my wallet. Menus have COVID check in QR, no need to all have to go to a single location and wait to check in!
Dine inside or outside with comfortable cushions. Prompt table service and offered cold water even while waiting for y takeaway.
The coffee is wonderful and expertly made.
The menu is diverse with something for everyone and there’s a special for early bird coffee and a breakfast burger special as well.
I dined in the first time, then purchased takeaway the second time.
My order was the same, a plain croissant with jam and a long black, consistently superb both times!
The croissant is feather, light, fresh and buttery and the jam tastes as though it is homemade! I felt as though I was in Paris!
I am looking forward to being a regular here and trying many more menu items.
New Farm Park is across the road and a lovely place to enjoy your takeaways!

The drink was lovely. Sweet potato chips were ok, a bit soft not my type. I ordered a mushroom burger, it was extremely tall, cool presentation. However the mushroom burger meat was pretty oily, except that, the bread and sauce were nice. I won’t recommend the mushroom burger for vegetarian friend. Friendly staff👍and nice environment there.

We took the breakfast burger, nourish bowl and native French toast, everything was delicious. Hot chocolate are the best we had in town. Staff is really nice. Definitely recommend this place.

Great friends need to meet, we decided on Joedy's for Sunday brunch. Our table was reserved and we were seated punctually, the place was buzzing but we were served our drinks and the food (sublime, my eggs were cooked to perfection) followed shortly afterwards. A great morning had by all - we will certainly return - Paul

Drove up from the Gold Coast to give this a try, and was really impressed!! Had the avocado toast and chilli scrambled eggs. Presented beautifully with a delicious mixture of flavours! Also loved the refreshing, tranquil environment with views of the park. Definitely recommending to friends😊

Not behd- some dishes a bit salty but acceptable. Croissant bennie was YUM, btw defs ask for their chilli sauce on the side it’s magic stuff (I want the secret recipe). Shellfish in the dishes were cooked really well, the prawns and mussels were yummmm. Coffees were good. Oh I also really appreciate their hot chocolate menu- you don’t see such fleshed out hot choc menus outside of melbs. Will be back!

What a fabulous spot for breakfast. All the crew were delightful and friendly. The coffee was excellent! Our French Toast was over the top and delicious. Thanks Joedy’s see you next time.

Enjoyed the environment & taste of food but the thing is they are so busy and took them 15 minutes to even bring the menu for us!
Make sure you book your table before going
Apart from that you will get a tasty dish

We’ve been here today for the first time.
They have table inside and outside w doggies.
Doggie friendly place! Bring your doggies🙂
Today was really sunny day if they have shade or and parasol, that’ll great for someone who grab outside table.
Berry smoothie(has coconut tasty as well) and choc peanut smoothie was great.
I had lots of coffee yesterday so I ordered smoothies, this was good decision🙂
We’ve got Nourish bowl and chilly scramble egg w prawn.
I didn’t know they all included coriander which I cannot handle.
But my partner enjoyed it a lot.
Food was good except coriander.
I will ask to them get rid of it haha next first time😂😂
Good place for coffee, chilling out
You can check new farm park as well.
Enjoy your breakfast!

Finally first time to check out this cafe @joedyscafe beside New farm park and yes I found the reason why this cafe always busy because they are serving good food here. Their menu is variety and their staff is super friendly as well.
It is always good to start your day with breakfast goal like this.

Amazing food, the fish taco is so crunchy match perfectly with the sauce. Egg Benedict is great, love the sauce, just the chicken is bit dry. Smooth is refreshing and tasty. Great service and nice view looking at the park. Would definitely go back. 🥳🥳

The restaurant is nice with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly. The coffee is great. We ordered two meals: French toast was so great and highly recommended! the avocado 🥑 toast was okay but the avo for some reason hard to eat and the lemon jam wasn’t nice to add it with the avo toast meal. Overall was a nice experience and highly recommended to visit.

We just wanted some coffee and good breakfast on a Sunday and found a good one. We ordered for eggs and some juice. There happened to be a strand of hair on my hash brown as soon as I mentioned it the staff replaced it. The owner of the place was so friendly he even refunded it. Also yum food will defo revisit next Sunday.. amazing service ❤️❤️ must try and make sure you meet Joedy

I am sitting here, enjoying what I can only describe as the best & most exciting poke bowl I’ve ever had.
However, what has really blown me away is the way the owner interacts with her team. They are all smiling, talking amongst one another but not missing a beat in tending to their customers.
A beautiful atmosphere. Sensational! Absolutely fabulous xx

Great location to grab a coffee or a bite. Portions are generous and can’t complain about the food or service.

Nice & cosy place to catch up with friends. Food and coffee was lovely. Plus It is a dog friendly restaurant.

Food was amazing! We also called up super last minute for a reservation on a Sunday morning, for 7 people and 3 dogs and they were able to accommodate us 30 mins later. So nice of them! One thing is some tables are in the sun so probably would bring sunnies and a hat.

Food was delicious and everything was presented really nice. Reasonably priced with good portion sizes and friendly staff. Will definitely return :)

Great casual dining. We ventured here for Mother’s Day and they had a special menu. Lot’s of great selections for a family including children. Joedy’s is licensed so we enjoyed a few sneaky cocktails and wine. It’s located across from the New Farm park so best to get there a little early as parking can be difficult to find so you may need to park near a back street. Worth the walk from the car to Joedy’s☺️

One of my newfound brunch spots!!
Visited here on a Saturday morning and was blown away at the selection and quality of food offered :-) We ordered a bunch of brunch dishes to share between us and we were impressed by everything we had.
Highly highly highly recommend the chilli eggs!!! So delicious, octopus was cooked perfect :-)
The service was wonderful as well :-) We spilled some coffee on the table and plates and the staff were quick to help us rectify it. Thank you and will definitely visit again!!!

My go-to brunch/ catch up/ coffee date/ self date and work space cafe!
Food here is always 10/10 and incredible customer service from the team. Layout, plants, coffee and food is all 10/10! Love seeing all the families that come around too. Such a sweet community.

The food was good, however the service could be improved. We waited quite a while before anyone came to offer a seat, however then couldn’t locate the reservation. Once ordered, it was quite a while before the food arrived.
It’s great how local produce is sourced for all their ingredients.

Just had the best breakfast in years. I had the mushrooms, partner had the omelette special - both were exceptional. Coffee was delicious too. Joedy's are back!

Finally got around to trying out this place for brunch @joedyscafe 👌🏼
.
Nestled behind the corner of Brunswick & Sydney streets in New Farm, this place was packed with people when we got there - luckily we had booked 👍🏼
.
Food wise, we got the Mushrooms with additional bacon and the Nourish Bowl with a poached egg. Both dishes were great, I particularly loved the beetroot relish that gives the overall dish a slightly sweet and sour taste 🤤🤤
.
The V60 pour over was good too and comes with ice cubes to the side in case you want it cold. Overall a great first time for us, looking forward to coming back to try other stuff down the track 🤗🙌🏻

Busy little joint, beautiful staff and lovely food. Normally I am picky about my scrambled eggs but that was amazing stuff.
Only complaint is that it's impossible to cut the sourdough with the knives, I nearly lost my toast a few times!

Nice little cafe in a great location. Beautiful interior and outside shady seating. Plenty of free street parking around the park!
The menu is quite limited, so we went simple and got the brekky burger and a muffin. Would have loved to get another pastry but there was absolutely nothing else available in the cabinet, even at 9:30am on a weekday. Muffin was nice, burger was simple but still tasty. We also got two coffees- I ordered a cappuccino but for some reason received a latte. I asked and the staff just said she could add some choc on top (but I didn’t bother). Regardless, it was enjoyable and a nice blend.
The overall vibe of the cafe would be our main reason to visit again, but would love for some more menu/cabinet items to be added! ☺️

Absolutely amazing! By far the best cafe in New Farm! Staff, coffee and food here all great! Was a rainy day and staff were able to quickly move us indoors and keep us comfortable!

Joedy and his team have taken potential and transformed it into one of the best cafes in Brisbane. I adore the space, the atmosphere and the staff. I visit Joedy's often and cannot believe the quality of meals coming out of such a small kitchen. The staff are welcoming, efficient and you will often find Joedy behind the machine, doing what he loves. It's rare to see an owner so involved in their own cafe. Well done to the whole team, I can't wait to come back. If you're going, be brave and have the squid ink linguini... you won't be disappointed!

Lovely, attentive service, beautiful food in a funky chill atmosphere. What more could you want in a cafe?
I'm told Sunday mornings/ lunch can be crazy.. we got there 130 and we definitely beat the rush 😊

My favourite place to brunch in Brisbane! Great food, excellent coffee and always the best service. Our last visit happened to be on a day where they were down a few staff and we still felt looked after and our drinks and food arrived very quickly. Absolutely will be going back again and again!

Best brunch spot in Brisbane. Always busy but their customer service never lets me down. Come here in a Monday morning but there’s only a few spots left. The XO scramble is amazing and huge, which is quite big for me. Coffee - beyond excellent. Will definitely be back.

This is a great little spot tucked in by New Farm Park! The food is really nice and artfully presented. The staff are extremely friendly and will definitely return. Only critique, even though the bacon scrolls are pretty, they weren't quite done to my taste and were also quite small.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I now consider Joedys to be my “local” coffee shop.
The staff and team are super friendly and make an effort to get to know you.
The coffee and food are great, and the menu specials are changed often to keep it fresh.
If you are a new farm local or just visiting - make an effort to try these guys out.

Great coffee, fantastic food, and lovely staff. The trifecta. Opposite New Farm park, perfect for a Sunday breakfast. It can get busy but that’s a great sign. Pictures below, Ube Waffle, Eggs Benedict, Piccolo and 77% Dark Hot Chocolate.

I traveled from North Lakes to have lunch with a local New Farm friend.
We spotted this funky new cafe tucked around the corner over from New Farm park.
The staff are very warm and friendly, prompt service, nice atmosphere....
We really enjoyed the innovative menu, the highlight being the Black Rice Pudding with spiced coconut yoghurt, Mango and toasted coconut topped with fairy floss.... yummy
Special blend authentic Chai Spice Latte was fabulous.
Wonderful dining experience ...thanks Joedy

Lovely atmosphere and great coffee! The only issue was that they ran out of croissants for my eggs Benedict, but they did substitute it with a delicious toasted milk bun! My husband found the fries a bit blond, but otherwise the lamb burger was fantastic.

Joedy's is a well-positioned cafe just down from the corner of Sydney and Brunswick streets opposite New Farm park. I didn't take photos today which means I must come back around😊.
Pleasant staff that look at you when they speak to you was what attracted me back to this place after my first visit.
Previously I visited for lunch late last year, and I remember it was delicious. It had something to do with some delicious corn fritters, and great coffee.
This morning I sampled the omelette of the day, served frittata style rather than classic french. It contained asparagus, perfectly cooked tips, ( fresh) proscuitto, and ( a little) caramelized onion. It was a generous size and served with a roquette salad.
I enjoyed a long macchiato which was dark, strong and served with sparkling water. There was a perfect amount of foam so there was a slight soothe, without milkiness.
The classic pear juice had natural sweetness without additives( thank you!)
This cafe is a light- filled space that strikes the right balance between comfort and ulitarianism. You can hear yourself think here; the coffee machine is a background hum, and the music is loud enough that you can tune in if you're enjoying it but it's not irritating otherwise.
Pricing is the kind that keeps them in business( and hey I want that) but doesn't gogue you.
Great work! I'll be back.

Unfaultable.
It’s been a long time since my partner and I headed over to New Farm for brunch. We were keen to try Joedy’s, a new addition since we last lived here.
Joedy’s is a beautiful cafe practically in New Farm Park. The menu was exceptionally diverse ranging from cafe favourites to more outside of the box additions. My coffee was delicious and I didn’t leave a crumb in my plate.
I think what made Joedy’s really perfect for me was that it was an environment that didn’t discriminate. Elderly friends, mums grabbing a morning coffee, young couples, everyone was welcome here.
Can’t wait to return!

XO Scramble - 4/10 Eggs were good, very flavour some, smells heavy of fermented shrimp paste or fish sauce which I love, but a little too oily for me. Toast was stale. Pork kinda dry, just tasted of salt and not much else-- some acidity here would have been good. Salad was more of a garnish-- no vinaigrette or flavour at all?
Eggs Benny - 1 of the eggs were overcooked so no runny yolk, thought yous were a brunch cafe like come on 😅😔 Pickle brined chicken also oddly lacked acidity. Partner said this dish was just "ok"
Cold drinks were v good and refreshing. Service was decent, very friendly at the start but no meal checks at all. Interesting Asian-inspired menu but unfortunately missed the mark for me.
