I love this place a MACRO-lot! As soon as we walked in the door the girls made us feel right at home in their tiny groovy venue. A very simple menu is being executed so creatively here. Small coffee house tucked away in a corner. Coffee was good, not the best in Hawthorne/Bulimba, but good enough. Toastie was very tasty. Ham, cheese, mustard, pickle, and mayo with rye bread.

I have been occasionally for the past 3 years and every time the coffee is constantly delicious . Props to the coffee shop who goes against the grain buy using non main stream beans yet still give more than amazing coffee. Amazing laid back atmosphere that makes you want to stay to collect your thoughts. Staff are always super friendly and care about what they do. Always one to recommend to your friends.

The couple that run it are super fun and lovely and all of the staff are really friendly. Seriously great coffee! This little gem is awesome for breakfast - I would love to see more vegan food options though. Having said that, their non-dairy milk range is impressive. Soy, oat, coconut and almond I believe. Do yourself a favor and try your coffee with oat milk - it's gorgeous. :)

Given the high reviews, I have no doubt that this café produces quality coffee - however I was unable to discover it during my recent visits. I ordered a flat white with the alternative milk being almond, and whilst it was drinkable, it wasn’t quite there. I understand that brewing coffee with alternative milk is relatively new and may add some challenges for baristas, however I believe it is something that should be mastered prior to offering availability. The person I was with at the time ordered a cappuccino with regular milk and seemed to really enjoy their drink.

Came for breakfast for the first time in a while and still as fantastic as the first time we went. Delicious sandwiches as always. We tried the iced tea made in house and an iced coffee both at the suggestion of the owners and both were delicious. We won’t leave it as long between visits next time 😍

I drive past at least 10 other cafes to make Microlot my regular! It's easy to tell when the owners (Simon and Mia) of a cafe know quality coffee, food and service and pass the same passion onto all of their staff. The house blend Meraki tastes like sweet milk chocolate and they have a rotating variety of top notch single origins available. If you drink alternative milks they have organic coconut, almond and soy. Try them out for coffee and breakfast. You definitely won't be disappointed!

If you want straight up good coffee in the Hawthorne, Morningside, Balmoral is Bulimba area don’t bother going anywhere but here. Best batch brew and single origin around, friendly staff and a cute but cool atmosphere. Love it!

Gosh we love this place. Don't know if it's something about the minimalist aesthetic or the quiet but attentive service, but I always feel peaceful when I'm here. Lots of friendly dogs visit as well, which is a bonus.

I'm conflicted. Service was awkward with the person behind the till seemingly overwhelmed with 3 people in the queue. Coffee was decent but didn't blow me away. Food was good and a decent price. Menu isn't massive, but totally acceptable for the size of the place.

There are also small outdoor seats next to it, so it's great to enjoy brunch in the morning. It's a famous local café, so there are a lot of Takeaway customers throughout the operating hours, and if the time goes wrong, the waiting is too long. It's a bit unfortunate that the milk is oat, almond, and there is no soy, but please try the latte by changing it to almond milk. It is the peak of sue. (Original) 이 카페 라떼 때문에 이사를 못가는 중...🤣 호주에서 마신 커피 중에 가장 고소하고 진한 라떼! 옆에 작은 야외석도 있어서 아침에 간단히 브런치 즐기기도 좋아요. 로컬 유명 카페라 운영 시간 내내 테커웨이 손님도 많고 시간 잘못맞춰가면 웨이팅도 길어요 우유는 오트, 아몬드 있고 소이가 없어서 조금 아쉽지만 아몬드 밀크로 바꿔서 라떼 꼭 드셔보세요. 고소함 절정이에요.
