Fantastic cafe on the Northside. Just enough off the main road that you might easily sail on by. Almost had a secluded little secret garden feel. Food here is fabulous and all a bit cheekily named, in keeping with the name of the cafe. Again, coffee- always important. Really good. Chorizo scramble and pesto with poached eggs and they were both delish.

I have driven past this place so many times without even realising it’s an amazing cafe with amazing food @mymistresscafe 🤩🤩 . Tucked behind a plethora of leafy trees, this place offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Ordering is made super easy by scanning the QR code on the table to browse the menu, order your dishes and pay for it as well 👌🏻👍🏻 . This round we got: • Eggs Monica (Sweet potato, feta, corn and zucchini fritters with smashed avocado) • One Night Stand (Black pepper Chilli Scram) 😍😍 . Wifey’s chilli scrambled eggs looked, smelt and tasted sooo good. There were bits of chorizo on the side of the dish too. Flavour of this was absolutely banging👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 . I got the fritters and was equally amazed how good they were. Not super thick but definitely super tasty. I also added some grilled halloumi for an extra bit of something something to go with this yummy dish 🤤 . Overall, super impressed with the food. Took ages for me to finally try this place out but super glad i did and would definitely recommend giving them a go if your nearby too 🎉🥳

We chose to sit outside and I was very impressed! I love the overgrown vines and the privacy from the road nearby. They are currently doing construction on the front but it still was lovely to sit outside regardless. I had the Strip Tease (chicken and waffles) it was delicious! I was a bit hesitant about the combination of maple syrup and avocado but it worked very well together! Portion size was huge and I was unable to eat it all- which is unusual for me haha 😆 I loved having Breakfast here and will be back to try other menu items.

Delicious and exceptionally modern service. Dined for a Sunday brunch with a group of friends and we didn’t have a reservation. This place, with its great rating, gets busy! Be sure to book ahead otherwise prepare for a 20 minute wait. The wait was worth it! There is table service but ordering is done through QR code which takes you to a secure website for your selection. I was extra picky today so I ordered eggs my way with a couple of add ons - it was perfect! Friend had the One Night Stand which looked amazing and she said it held up to her expectations. Coffee worth a second mug. Despite being so busy, the drinks were prompt and effort was made to bring out the dishes together. Only comment for the staff is to top up the water or provide two bottles for a bookclub of women on a Sunday morning. Looking forward to coming here again!

Lovely garden setting. Our table inside was quite noisy. We had to go outside to the bus stop to talk properly afterwards. The menu was amusing, but it was only on the app, we do not like using phones in communal settings and app ordering is not a streamlined process yet. The coffee was fine, the food was good, but both were above average prices. We had booked Sunday morning. It is a very popular place, and had a long queue with long waits. I do not think the long queue would be justified.

Was told to come here by a good friend and I’m glad I took her advice! The staff were super friendly from the moment we walked up the path, making us feel welcomed and ensuring we were comfortable where we sat. The kitchen was super accomodating with my pickiness and was able to cater to our every ask. The coffee was the best I’ve had in Brisbane and the food was absolutely delicious. Would 100% come again! Great food, good ambience. A delightful little cafe. A hidden gem in Clayfield! Will definitely go back again and again. They say "you eat with your eyes" and all of our breakfasts were beautifully presented. The food is fantastic here, coffee tastes great too. Having said this, I can't really justify the additional cost for having dairy issues and needing to pay $1 for an alternative milk. Granted, most cafes around charge extra for soy or other alternative milk, with the exception of Starbucks who do not charge extra, but $1 is a tad steep.

The $24 strip tease- chicken and waffles with avocado was very good. Not as sweet as others...it had a great overall balance and the avocado worked very well with the syrup and waffles . A little pricey. But manage to feed my wife and myself. We also tried the iced matcha - don't expect the strength of flavour you normally get with matcha drinks... this was not strong especially in comparison to some Asian matcha drinks. But it was still nice... this had more of a hint of matcha and something else.

Second time I’ve been here and both times I was delighted. Delicious food delivered by top notch service. The girls here are super friendly and considerate too. I very rarely end up in Clayfield. The last I was here was about a year ago, when I’d first visited My Mistress. I remembered the brekkie being awesome then, so we stopped by for lunch. Ordered the halloumi mushroom burger with a beef patty. To my surprise the ensuing result was a juicy 6-7inch high beast of a burger. My girlfriend ordered the pulled pork wrap which came with a mild spicy kick, and thick cut chips. The food is excellent! If this place were closer to where I live/work, I’d be a regular. Highly recommend you stop by.

Not a great experience. This place charges a 10% surcharge (on all payment methods) on a Sunday, to make up for the fact that they need to pay their staff higher on a Sunday. This isn't advertised anywhere and the first you know about it as you go to pay. Also, waited probably 45+ mins for some bacon and eggs. Would've given 2 stars, but luckily the food was somewhat decent.

Located in a somewhat unsuspecting location My Mistress is a delightful local cafe serving great breakfast and lunch!\ For our late breakfast we ordered the Waffles and Acai Bowl. The Waffles were cooked to perfection, dressed well in maple syrup and lemon curd. The Acai bowl fell a little short of expectations however and tasted more like a watery sorbet than anything else. The addition of granola is highly recommended. Coffee however was a little less than impressive and tasted a little burnt. Bewray that the mug is massive and only for the serious coffee lovers! Service is great and ambience and feel of the cafe is delightful.

Yum yum yum. One of the best brunches I have ever had. Ordered the Strip Tease which was totally fabulous. Two fluffy and decadent waffles with smashed avo in between and topped with deep fried chicken tenders and maple syrup. I actually quite enjoyed the smashed avo and thought it was a really nice touch and went really well with the rest of the dish. The chicken was crispy on the outside but so tender on the inside. The whole dish was seasoned on point and left me wanting more. Aside from the food, the service was great as well. The staff were welcoming and warm. The whole place radiated a quite inviting vibe. Particularly liked their layout of the interior, organic and natural. The whole experience was out of this planet. Completely exceeded my expectations. I don’t know about weekdays, but it does get busy on the weekend. We had to wait for approximately 15 mins, give or take. So if you plan to go, be prepared to wait.

This place is a great little hole in the wall located in Clayfield, from start to finish I our group were happy with the service and food. Being a Saturday brunch we knew it would be busy and sure enough we had to line up, but we were given an allocation and provided a table within 10 minutes. The venue has a nice atmosphere with dining options both indoors and out, with staff that are attentive to your needs. Considering their breakfast menu is quite eclectic ranging from chicken and Waffles to okonomiyaki I was pretty skeptical about their ability to do such different cuisines justice, but man did they deliver. I personally had the okonomiyaki and it was an umami flavour bomb, from the fresh sliced cabbage to the decadent batter which was balanced so well with pickled ginger fresh chillies fried shallots and covered in a rich kewpie mayo and hoison sauce and topped with a perfectly fried egg and some crispy bacon , everything hit home. I can't wait to go back and implore others to check it out.

Quirky little Cafe, drinks and food came out really quick. The presentation of meals were amazing and were very nutritious and fresh but felt the taste was pretty ordinary to what I expected for the price and how wonderful it looked (I ordered the Eggs Monica). The interior design inside the cafe is lovely but the bathroom was creepy, smelly and dingy so go before you come or hold it.

Overall, the food is great, the drawback is actually getting the food, 40 minute wait and one item never arrived. Detail: Went on a Saturday morning at 7.30am before it was too busy. Food ordered took about 40 minutes to arrive. We had an acai bowl as well which were told it would be ready in 5 minutes, every 10 minutes we ask, we're told it'll be another 5 minutes. Around 9.00am, we asked to cancel the order as we needed to move on

The menu although delicious is limited. My only complaint is the community salt and pepper dishes. The place is covered in beautiful creeping fig vines and has picturesque outdoor seating. Will be a wait if you don't book but it's 100% worth it. Real world review.. This cafe is busy, so be prepared. We waited 15 minutes out by the side with groups of others waiting for a seat. Getting a seat inside seemed to be a mission and so we got seated outdoors, as most were. The outdoor seating obviously had a bigger turnover for what became a very apparent reason. The outdoor seating was all mostly covered with shade sails and surrounded by trees and unfortunately in the winter months.. With no sunshine getting through.. it was freezing! I think it would be nice if they offered some sort of outdoor heating solution for these colder months, something like some outdoor gas heater lamps etc. Unfortunately, going with my trend of talking about the cold weather.. Our coffee was luke warm and didn’t really retain heat for very long. The coffee itself was really good quality and made to a great standard, although just wasn’t hot enough/went cool very quickly. Again on the same note.. I order a ham, cheese and tomato croissant and it wasn’t toasted/heated up enough. Both the ham and tomato were cold whilst the cheese was very mildly melted with a barely warm to touch croissant. The food wasn’t bad or anything, I actually enjoyed it. But again my only complaint comes from the fact that by the time I’m eating it, in the outdoor seating in the cold weather, it had already gone cold.. I was looking forward to a hot/toasty warm croissant and unfortunately that’s not what I got. The staff were all great and friendly and helpful. I did see them doing their best to try to accommodate some people out in the cold outdoor seating to move them inside when possible upon request. The mobile QR ordering was seamless and easy to do/use. Definitely happy to come back again, but might wait until it’s a bit warmer.

Conveniently located on a road intersection. One of the favorite cafes on the way from the north. Menu is quite tasty but it might need a bit of a refresh. Okonomi pancakes are very tasty and the coffee is nice and well prepared. The place might be a bit crowdy on the weekends though so prepare to be queued

I was hardly given a second glance once my food was delivered in a prompt, perfunctory manner, without so much as a warm smile and ‘enjoy’. After finishing my delicious meal servers walked past me a dozen times, not one of them inquiring whether I’d like to order anything else or bothering to remove the empty plate. I guess it comes down to the need for the waiting staff to see themselves as hostesses delivering an exceptional experience, rather than just servers here to ‘get the job done’, in a manner fitting for a fast food chain restaurant. it’s these little things that for me decide whether to come back again next time.

I'd rate this a "light" four stars. Great selection of both savoury and sweet breakfasts. Have tried both and can say that they were each great. Prices are standard if not perhaps a little cheaper than other similar cafes. It's definitely on the list for our frequent places to have breakfast. The only downside is that it can tend to get busy, so there may be a wait for a table. Service can also be a bit slow as we had to wait a while for our order to be taken.

Recommended to this place by a friend saying it was amazing and the waffles where a must try. Nek minit waffles with chicken was in front on me and oeh what a disappointment, waffles seemed like they where pulled from the freezer and over microwaved, couldn't even cut through it with the knife and the chicken was all crumb with a tiny sliver of chicken. Didn't finish and the waitress asked if everything was ok to which I said the problem, she apologised but no offer of replacement and still charged us full price. Why the 3 star rating is because the coffee was excellent and despite the seeming not to care my meal was terrible, the staff were super friendly. With so many amazing places around Brisbane unfortunately I won't be returning, an offer of replacement or not charging us may have changed this disappointing outcome.

Bit of a bummer there is limited seating for weekend crowds, it can be very hot in summer with aircon that can't really keep up and you cannot split bills which is not the greatest customer experience. The tables aren't crammed together which is nice for a change so it wasn't too noisy to have a conversation. We didn't wait very long for any of our food or drinks and it was all delicious. Perhaps too much hollandaise on the Eggs Marilyn but the Eggs Monica with a side of Beacon was perfect. Lovely freshly sqeezed orange juice but next time I would ask for no ice as it dilutes the flavour too quickly as it melts. Also good solid coffee. Will definitely be back.

I ordered Head Mistress and it was done to perfection! The poached eggs were extremely well done, the yolk held in place nicely and oozed out when poked slightly. The potato and feta ball was a nice addition, but I couldn't really taste the distinctiveness of feta or potato in it, felt like a yummy mash deep-fried. The mushrooms, bacon and tomatoes were great and really harmonised the dish well. The only down side was that the lights in the cafe were too dim for my preference. We opted to sit outside but we could smell fuel as the fuel station was just right behind the cafe. This is the only down side, everything else was perfect. Would totally recommend and revisit!

I had visited My Mistress on a few occasions and one thing I must say is it is so nice to be greeted by such friends staff! Popped into My Mistress for the first time this morning for a quick coffee and bite with the family. Absolutely blown away and will articulate a couple of the reasons. Service was warm, accommodating and genuine. It honestly felt like every team member loved being there and wanted to make sure you had a great experience. I've been lucky enough to have experienced coffee's made by master baristas through work, and today's was right up there. Milk was just right (about the 63c mark). Creme unbroken on the sides with a lovely rosetta. Coffee so absent of bitterness, you just know everything has been immaculately cleaned and is fresh. For a quick bite I had the salmon, dill, cream cheese and red onion toasted bagel. Quality ingredients in a perfect balance. My better half had a bacon, egg, relish, aioli, rocket, cheese bagel. She had forgotten to ask for gluten free and the waitress picked up that something was wrong. When asked, my wife said not to worry about it but the waitress happily took it back and had it remade with gluten free. I highly recommend trying...

This place serves the best Vanilla bean Panna Cotta in town. The granola it is served with is crunchy and subtly salty which really brings out the sweetness in the fruit, and the smooth, creamy Panna Cotta. Highly recommend this place for breakfast. Be sure to come early or just be prepared to wait for a table as it can get busy after 930am on weekends. Not very wheelchair accessible as it is quite cosy inside. Would recommend calling ahead to see if they can accommodate.
