Comments of Poets Cafe
C. L.
Fancy little European style cafe overlooking a beautiful view. Poet cafe has very nice ambient, perfect for high tea setting. However that’s all the praise I can give for this cafe. Food is average at best, scones are doughy and can definitely be heated up in the oven before serving. Our flat whites has very nice textured milk but the espresso itself is on the stronger side, still slightly bitter even with sugar. Overall pleasant.

Gorgeous Cafe. Lovely views. Not much for vegans though and coffee was very expensive. $1.50 surcharge for decaf and $1.50 for soy/oat milk. Each coffee was $9.50. Bit of a tourist trap, but it is unique and very beautiful setting.
G. I.
What an afternoon delight! Wonderfully attentive and friendly staff. A very nice coffee for me and a tasty rose for my partner. The Poets sandwich and a fish of the day both super tasty, well presented and filling made for a fabulous experience. Even the music was wonderful to listen to and then of course...the views.
R. R.
Lovely restaurant , food was delicious and service/staff were great. Was raining so didn't get to see the beautiful views 😪. 10/10 🤗
M. F.
Amazing atmosphere, delicous food. The view is fabulous and the staff are just lovely, highly recommend
L. H.
Try the gnocchi and be sure to sit on the verandah for a cool breeze while you look out over the coastal plain towards Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Alexandra Headland. The atmosphere of German heritage, that is reflected throughout the rest of the main street, is quaint. We loved this Cafe and its decor.

Located in central of Montville hinterland, I fall in love with the first sight of this coffeeshop. There is a open window to enjoy a cup of coffee with the heartbreakers natural view. Standard menu, and very friendly services.
W.
We went there for an afternoon ice coffee lattes. They tasted really good coffee. This place has good view of the trees and forest, which is really relaxing on Sunday afternoon. We did get the cake because we had a big lunch. Their cakes look really delicious. The place was well decorated and staff were very friendly.
C.
Food was beautiful. The fruit on my French brioche was particularly tasty, and the servings are very big. Very happy with the service also.
B. C.
The food was okay. I had the garlic prawn dish, which was 7 prawns boiling in butter in a cast iron dish, with sourdough and a salad on the side. For $38 I expected more love and more flavour. But found myself dipping sourdough into melted butter and scooping cooked onion/garlic onto the bread. Although the view was nice it was overpriced in my honest opinion.
The $8.50 coffee was nice, but again..
R. P.
Delicious breakfast with great views. Make sure you get here early to get a seat with a view. Very friendly staff & decent menu. The coffee is nothing to write home about but the fresh juices and yummy food make up for it!
I'd the pancakes which must've come with local berries because the flavours were as I remember from my childhood! Actual taste of strawberry and raspberry🤤
My husband had the eggs Benedict with local smoked ham that he practically inhaled 😅
Would be happy to come back.

One of our favourite little cafes/restaurants. The service is great and the food is really good. I generally get the same meals each visit; however, they do tend to differ a fair bit each time. Some more consistency would make this a 5 *
R. D.
Beautiful place full of charm and the waitresses were so lovely, nothing seemed too hard for them. The food was amazing we had the Breshetta breakfast.
K. A.
First time patron 2 days ago and was most certainly happy with the service, coffee and food. Noticed another patron though not so happy being asked by a male staff member to leave her umbrella at the front door on her arrival assuming it was to avoid a wet slippery floor for safety reasons (to which I totally agreed with at the time).
However, after reading all the negative reviews mentioning the ill behaviour of this male person who must be the owner I’m not so sure I would ever return.
G. W.
Just passing through and decided on the spur of the moment to have a break. Good decision: great venue, friendly efficient service and delish food. Very nice coffee as well. Poetry to the taste buds.
C. W.
When in Montville we always come here for morning or afternoon tea. The cakes are to die for and the ambiance plus the view are great. We have had lunch here and it was lovely but the cakes are our weakness.
A. R.
We sat on the balcony, the views overlooking the valley were so pretty.
The food was fresh & the menu as you would expect from a classic countryside cafe.
M. M.
Nice spot for a coffee and Devonshire tea. Lovely tables outside and they allow the dog to sit with you. Views from most tables inside. Good cold water. Staff quite efficient. We've been quite a few times now and love just sitting outside - street side - eating and watching the passing parade. Parking about - or down in the car park.
K. H.
Great spot for brekkie. Food was good, especially loved the big breakfast and bruschetta. Coffee was lovely. Just wish they had a high chair for kids but other than that the service was fantastic.
M. S.
Always a favourite stop, spectacular views, great food and service!😊
D. S.
Lovely service, good food. The views alone are worth the visit. It was very loud when we went due to a large party, but the staff could not apologise enough or do enough to make us comfortable, even though it didn't bother us. Great place.
C. F.
Beautiful location with a view to the coast, good food and service too. Not cheap but good portion size and ambience so well worth it for that special lunch out.
S. S.
Cutest little cafe! Friendly staff. We didn’t eat much just scones with fresh jam and cream, and fries but it was delicious! 🥰 beautiful views from the restaurant.
Z. T.
The beautiful exterior really baited me for this lunch. Extremely expensive but not very delicious food served here. Excellent place for a date though.
C. B.
Had a mocha frappe and two scones with jam and cream. The mocha was smooth and a nice flavour balance of chocolate/coffee. The scones were fresh, soft and warm. Was greeted with a friendly smile and service didn’t take long. Beautiful views!
S. T.
Food is a little overpriced for what you get. We got the roast pork salad, side of fries and 2 drink which set us back $50. I guess you are just paying for the view (which we did not get unfortunately)
T. M.
What a quaint little café. The staff are all polite and accommodating. The view from the back deck was stunning, and the food was visual beautiful as well as delectable.
B. L.
Situated in beautiful Montville , where the forest meets amazing small town atmosphere, high up in the hills you will find Poets cafe.
Stop in upstairs for a coffee , spot if tea , and something sweet to treat, or perhaps your having a wedding or function and wish to impress friends, family and loved ones in this purpose built high end functions and reception room downstairs.
Ask a local and they will know Poets cafe ,
Is the place to go.
F. R.
If you like pasta, do yourself a favour and order the gnocchi or the spaghetti. A blast of flavours in your mouth.
Fantastic staff and the best Europe feeling ever.
S. S.
Food food and lots of it. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. A nice spot to what Montville pass you by while you eat or just have a coffee. :)
D. S.
Great place , great food, Ron and his staff were great . Thanks for letting us see the chapel it's stunning !
E. “. E. V. D. S.
We enjoyed our visit to the Poets Cafe. The view is beautiful and the cafe bright and airy. Our service and food was very good!
C. C.
Both the food and coffee was delightful, I got the buttermilk pancakes with ice cream and was a great mix of flavors combined with fluffy pancakes. Would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area, view is slightly obscured by trees but still really good
A. R.
Stopped in for morning tea. Exceptional and professional customer service and the food was also outstanding, fresh and tasty ham and cheese croissant with salad and the coffee was great. Thank you.
M. F.
Very nice mountains cafe. Great selection of breakfast food and treats. Great coffee and very friendly staff. All in a nice venue with plenty of seating and views.
G. C.
Thanks for helping with my child and the Calamari today. Yes it wasn't perfect, but you were great at swaping to something else and not charging. Much appreciated.
J. P.
Delicious salad for lunch. I recommend the roasted beetroot and goats cheese salad!
G. B.
Very nice and clean we just had afternoon tea. All food was fresh and delicious.
M. T.
The waiter we had was incredibly kind and provided amazing service. She recommended adding garlic prawns to the spaghetti which was a great compliment. The pan seared salmon with garden salad was everything I could ask for. Light & Delicious!!
H. K.
It was a great atmosphere, low soft music and fantastic food.
V. D.
Ambiance is beautiful. Friendly staff. Delicious desserts. We will come back again. Thank you.
J. L.
Very friendly staff. Prompt service. Tasty food! Very accommodating! Thanks for having us!
A. P.
Delicious, high quality meals with friendly staff and a good range of options on the menu - but quite pricey in the scheme of things. Some may consider the serving sizes a little small (for some meals). Nice views from the back deck.
S. P.
If you look at the photos you'd wonder why it's only got 3.6 stars. It's a lovely looking Cafe with a great atmosphere. But sadly that's really where it stops. It wouldn't take much to make it worthy of 4 or more stars but I think business is so good they don't need to bother, which is a shame because that's a choice to not try harder I reckon. A tea, a coffee and 2 slices of cake was $32 - a bit much? They don't have any high chairs for kids - that's a choice too - a bit inconsiderate? They could have at least a few. I get that they probably don't want the place jammed with hangry kids but on quiet days, why not be a bit more accommodating? Have a couple at least. You could argue it's dangerous not to have any. People will still go there with their kids, but rather than be secure and safe in a high chair they'll sit on normal chairs and be within reach of hot coffees and teas etc. Parents responsibility to avoid those dangers? Absolutely, but the Cafe could also help avoid them by providing something 95% of cafes have and cost only $25 from kmart. Also they serve prawns in a tea house - we were having a (nice) slice of cake and then the guy next to us ordered them, what a stink 😂 That whole corner of the tea room now smelled like a fish market 🐠
The pros though - the staff were kind and friendly. The Cafe is very picturesque, no doubt about it. And look, we're repeat customers and probably will be again. But all in all, it's just 60% of what it could be. Which still makes it worth a visit. If you've been before though, maybe give some other local businesses some love and skip it once in a while. They don't need your business, otherwise they'd be trying a "bit" harder.
A. D.
Starting from warmth of the staffs to location with a refreshing view, love the vibe here. We keep going back. They never disappoint. We went there for just a simple pot of tea and a bit of pastries. They never give the vibe of not being welcome. Best on the stretch and highly recommended.
R. K.
Apart from the AMAZING views and location, the staff are friendly and the food fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.
M. I.
Hands down this has to be my favorite cafe in Maleny/Monville region. Have been here so many times and it never disappoints. Love the service, food, ambience and gorgeous view...
d. a.
Such a delightful Cafe Great views lovely service and the food was spot on 👍
B. W.
Food, atmosphere & service was great!
M. M.
The coffee wasn t my favorite but the Poets cafe atmosphere and view is grrreat. I will go back there again
R. K.
Apart from the AMAZING views and location, the staff are friendly and the food fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back.
D. S.
Fantastic food!!! Wonderful location, a good quick bite when passing through Montville.
L. P.
The service here was the best part of our trip to Montville😊 Compliments to the chefs too as the bangers and mash are amazing!!! Sausages have so much flavour. Cafe drinks are great too! Thank you guys!!
D. S.
Great service and good food. The venue's position and outlook is wonderful.
S.
Food and coffee are excellent, a little expensive, but worth it for the good product
M. A.
Nice European warm homy decoration! We have been there a couple of times during our stay at Montville. Our waitress Gabi was amazing. The potato soup, the breakfast options, and the Chease cake were yum! We go back there fir sure
S. H.
decent place for a coffee. great view. food and service can be better. went for breakfast the other day and was presented with an unappealing plate. bit too overpriced for the fare presented.
d. a.
Such a delightful Cafe Great views lovely service and the food was spot on 👍
G. C.
A little pricey, but worth it. Great atmosphere and gorgeous view.
M. T.
Nice place with beautiful view. Good service and delicious croissant.
J. E.
A lovely stop over and had a very nice lunch
v. s.
It was a beautiful & elegant dining experience! I savoured the chance to dine there as I came at 3.00 the day before & they were only offering takeaway. I was tickled with the bumblebee table number! I had saved a drowning bumblebee 3 years prior in Tassie. Beautiful food in a really scenic atmosphere...
T. C.
A great experience! My Steak was cooked to perfection! The staff were great! and thankyou Ron, for allowing us to view that beautiful chapel without an appointment lol.. I had a great Mothers day.
Kind Regards.
N. D.
Celebrated my grandmothers 90th birthday here yesterday, and Grace was absolutely incredible to us. You made our day. Thank you all so much!!
J.
Food was awesome, but service slow at times. I had the salmon with cous cous, but the beef ragu was also amazing
C. J.
The restaurant was clean. The food was good. Drinks were fast. Staff friendly and polite. The only issue I had was we weren't asked if we needed top up on drinks and nor were the empty glasses removed till after we left.
K. J.
Delicious meal, friendly, competent staff and a great view. This has been a favourite restaurant of ours for many years. The food is always top quality. Today I had the fresh fish (coral trout) with a Mediterranean roast salad and creamy yummy sauce (pictured) and my better half had the garlic prawns with a side salad. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the pleasant atmosphere. A great experience all round.
B. B.
I dropped in for a quiet chai tea, then added an apple strudel. OMGosh just the freshest, tastiest piece of heaven!! Beautiful surroundings, great music and a perfect Friday afternoon treat.
M. M.
Quality food, coffee, and filtered water. Waiters were attentive and portions left you satisfied but light at the same time.
I’m surprised people have something negative to say about this place. We moved to Australia nine months ago from USA- trust me, Australians have a long way to go when it comes to cooking quality food and delivering good customer service. This was by far, one of the best places we ate in 9 months.
As far as the owner, I’m pretty sure I spotted him watching over and supervising the operations. I won’t judge because we’ve been business owners before and we know how it works behind the scenes.
Keep up the great work!
M. B.
Beautiful architecture, scenic views and a yummy salad
C. N.
Lovely place with beautiful views! We arrived as they were closing and they were nice enough to let us get takeaway drinks. Thankyou!
P. I.
Great location, atmosphere, music and food, and view, got it all
R. S.
A relaxing place in the busy town, nice food and lookout through large old trees to the bay.
B. W.
Food, atmosphere & service was great!
D. S.
Nice but there was bones in the Salmon fillet and they wouldn't serve gravy with chips
B. T.
Great food and superb views.
J. Y.
This is another of my must visits. Make sure you book a table with a view on the verandah as they are often booked out. The staff aren't always the best but I've never been disappointed with the food or the views. The toilets are always clean and very presentable.
A great place for a coffee before starting up the hill, for a good lunch break or to collapse into a comfy seat with delicious food and drink at the end of a big shopping day.
E. M.
We really enjoyed our breakfast! Wonderful outlook from the verandah overlooking trees and palms. The food was delicious and the customer service was great. They were accommodating for my children 7yrs and 14yrs. Overall a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
S. S.
Great views, staff & food.
S. N.
The view, the food, the attentive wait staff. All good and making of a great lunch spot. Good luck finding a park
A. R.
Sensational location, Divine Food, incredible service... I could have sat all day staring out those windows... I fell in love with this place. Great atmosphere.
K. S. O.
The food is very good offering menu options that are different and unusual. views are lovely with cool breezes but it takes so long for lunch to be served. Free coffee offered which was appreciated...but when trying to impress guests such delayed food delivery will unfortunately have to impact our selection decisions.
S. I.
My boyfriend and I visited this place today. We had a slice of strawberry cheese cake and a cup of coffe each. They are all delicious. We enjoyed our foods and the atmosphere here. Such a delightful place. I will come back one day.
J. Y.
Good on service meals on time friendly staff
C. M.
Great location in a beautiful building in the centre of Montville. Great views, good service, great food at reasonable prices. My favourite eatery in Montville.
C.
Get the gnocchi.. just get the gnocchi. 10/10. Thank you.
T.
We had rib eye and salmon for lunch. Both great meals. The view is lovely from the veranda tables. Moderately to expensive prices. It's probably best to book. The coffee and tea were great. Clean rest rooms.
L. K.
Good service nice coffee & scones, will be back
J. D.
Great service. Food was very good, with good service size. It came out quicker than we thought it would. Also a very nice view. A great breakfast experience.
L.
Very cute cafe and decor. Very French. Great cheese plate and Mac and cheese. Popular for biscuits
C. &. M.
Loved stopping in for afternoon tea, we enjoyed the plain scones & English breakfast tea, beautiful looking restaurant lovely view too.
P. M.
Food was well prepared and presented by courteous and friendly staff. Coffee was perfectly prepared - possibly as good as you can get anywhere!
The way in which the property is presented and the high quality of the food indicates that the management and staff really care about the business.
L. h.
Lovely food and service however the staff were not wearing face masks ???
T. M.
Great food, and amazing views.
P. F. d. G.
Very good service, nice food, friendly staff and a pleasant Cafe to visit.
T. D.
To all Cappuccino lovers. Do yourself a favour and go to Poets Cafe. If you think you have had excellent cappuccinos elsewhere, they will seem very ordinary, compared to the cappuccinos at Poets.
Poets Cafe makes the best cappuccino in Australia. They really do have it down to a fine art of making the best cappuccino. Obviously it is the meticulous attention to detail.
The food is always fabulous too.
D. L.
Food is great. Staff seemed strangely distant. Took ages to take our order? (Not sure if it was because we had kids with us? Re: no high chairs, so perhaps they don't want kids??
M. K.
Near closing time but they graciously served our group. Coffee was super hot but nice once it had cooled down some. Service was excellent. Lovely place.
J. D.
Initial greeting friendly, polite. Delightful setting with views of the country towards the coast. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgable in spite of having only worked at Paris for a week.(Top Marks)Three of our group ordered chicken and the fourth salmon as mains. We were not disappointed! The food was attractively prepared , tasty and enjoyed by everyone. The creme brulee passed all tests. A very enjoyable lunch.
B. G.
A really nice place. The food is excellent! Great views. Unfortunately it seems to be under staffed as the table service is not very attentive.
R. J.
Breakfast at Poets Cafe was excellent if not somewhat confused in the delivery of our order with our drinks order placed prior to the food order, delivery was completed in the reverse order. My Eggs Benedict were excellent and everyone complimented their meals. Bartender need to brush up on his Bloody Mary, yes they do have Worcestershire Sauce, Coffees were great but service needs a polish. Overall a nice experience!
N. K.
I love this place. The food is good and the view is spectacular.
K. H.
I like this place. I have only had tea and cake here, and that is fancy tea bag and not so special cake, but I still like it.
I know what I am getting.
I am getting enthusiastic service inside beautiful architecture with a lovely view in a super cute town in a lovely region.
If you simply tell them what you want, ie: please leave the tea bag out til it gets to me, they will lovingly supply it.
P. S.
Have visited this cafe a number of times over the past couple of years. Have always found the staff friendly. Food is consistently good in both presentation and quality. While some items may be on the upper end of expected pricing, still continuing to visit because of the food quality. Happy to recommend.
S. S.
Friendly staff and great food
S. R.
We were warmly greeted upon arrival and despite it being around lunch time, was quickly shown to a nice table out the front (being Valentines Day most of the tables with views or inside were taken).
The blackboard outside proclaimed a Cake and Coffee special “only” $9.50! We didn’t really reckon $9.50 wasn’t anything to brag about – after all if you figure $4 for a coffee then $5.50 for a piece of cake isn’t exactly a bargain (the other coffee/cake specials we are used to around here on the Sunshine Coast are normally about $5.50-$7.50)
So we opted for a large pot of Irish Breakfast tea to share at $7.90. It came out not long after we ordered it and there was a good quantity and was nice and hot.
It’s such a pretty spot we can see why it’s so popular.
M. C.
Delicious foods, friendly staff, nice music, great atmosphere inside and out
O. T.
It may just have been a coffee and a cake, but the opportunity to enjoy it in the romantic atmosphere of the building was an unforgetable experience. It is so nice to know that there are still such special places built and operated by such inspired people.
S. J.
Good service beautiful location King prawns were medium at best meal portions were poor and individual wine glass serve inconsistent to say the least Left very disgruntled
J. G.
Great views and great service, prices are a bit expensive for what the food is.
V. B.
Ordered Ploughmans Lunch which was supposed to be for 2 people at $30. Was a lovely combination of ham, cheese etc but not nearly enough for 2 people. Was given only about 6 or so slices of French stick size bread. Asked if we could have more bread which they brought to us but was charged $4 for baguette (No mention of cost when we asked). There was twice as much bread with the extra baguette which was what we would've expected the first time. Beautiful outlook which they capitalise on for quite expensive food and average service.
B. A.
Decided to check this place out as I believe you should always give some places a fair go. We arrived for breakfast and we were met with a nice bit of service and the waitresses seemed pleasant enough.
I ordered the Poached Eggs with Extra Avocado, with another Bruschetta ordered on the side by my partner. We found to be acceptable, if not a little below the par of what you'd expect for the price you pay. The coffee I had was below average and is the reason for a lower rating. My hallmark is that if I believe I can make a similar or better cup at home, perhaps somewhere needs to step up their game.
The decor is nice, with an old timey feel, and is consistent with its image.
Overall not a bad place to go if you're in a pinch, however there does seem to be better options in the area.
L. S.
Great breakfast, the best service and beautiful view
J. J.
The Garlic Gnocchi was superb! Crispy Salmon and salad was devine. The service was great, our waitress was incredibly helpful and friendly.
5+ stars from us!
L. D.
Wonderful Cafe. Lovely staff. Lovely coffee.
J. T.
A warm and friendly environment with great service and delicious food.
J. S.
Have visited this place on several occasions. Overall the food has been good and the coffee average. Outdoor area is nice to sit and enjoy your meal.
W. N.
Great location, but rather underwhelming and overpriced meals.
B. H.
The table service was slightly misguided or improper. My wife and I saw the price of the menu and decided to have coffee instead of eating. At $14 for 'fish fingers & chips' on the kids menu mind you. The coffee was pretty average. Weak and bitter. We won't return.
N.
Great serving sizes and staff were so friendly. Will have to go back along one day
L. E. (.
Delicious food, exceptional service from one of the waiters. Good service from another - she forgot my extra soy milk when I ordered a tea.
That said it's a fantastic resturant and am looking forward to dining again.
M. H.
Good food, good service, good specials - Atlantic salmon dish for $19.95 where it's usually $28-45 elsewhere. Nice salads on a hot day. Although the interiors were a bit bland despite the lovely exterior and location of the building.
D. W.
We had scones & cappuccinos.best by far.great food & extremely friendly staff. definitely coming back
R. D. J.
Wonderful. Friendly staff. Good services. I had the house Gravlax with shaved fennel and beetroot mousse and a citrus foam. My cousin's fried lamb brains with celireac mayo was lovely. Views to die for. Highly recommended.
P. A.
Great place to warm up on a cool Montville day.
H. R.
Great cafe, we had fruit scones and coffee for morning snack, friendly accommodating staff, highly recommended

What a beautiful building! We felt we were in a semi tropical version of Paris, the food was delicious and the staff, terrific! t
T. R.
Love to come here for lunch with my parter/family.
Absolutely wonderful staff, atmosphere and food.
J. M.
Amazing Moroccan chicken baguette. Loved the flavour and the soft baguette complimented it well. Salt and pepper calamari was so soft. We didnt see chilli in the description so it was a bit hot but still amazing.
R. p.
Great ambience, wonderful hospitality by Ammie.
The staffs were happy and helpful.
We were there for the breakfast and the food was great. Highly recommended.
M. B.
I absolutely love this place. Location, style, food, staff...excellent in every way.
I. S.
Gorgeous spot but very mediocre cake and scones.
B. S.
Cutest cafe in the whole inland. Must visit! And they have really excellent service and food.
So not only the atmosphere/ambient is great, but the food and coffee are too! Very romantic!

Good food and friendly authentic staff. The decor is also unique enough to make this place worth a visit. Can be a little crowded (again probably thanks to the good food)

This place always makes me happy every single visit
Z. S.
My wife and I had a wonderful lunch here while on a visit to Montville. We thought it was the most beautiful building in the main street hence our choice.....And we've returned a few more times.
D. B.
Had a great salmon baguette and Lyonnaise sausage, mash and lentils. Everything tasted great. Coffee was excellent and banoffee topped it all off. Lovely service by Holly - thank you!
R. V.
Great view, food and service.
C.
Yum! We came here for breakfast and I could not honestly fault our meal and service. The cafe and views were absolutely stunning!
S. P.
Used to like this place for the nice food and a lovely ambiance but was so disappointed with the dishes we had last time... Service was slow and inattentive as usual though.
J. P.
Food was beautiful quality, service efficient. We had a lovely lunch. Will be back again.
R. S.
Had a light meal of asparagus ham and poached egg with hollandaise sauce and it was nice but anyone could make this at home it was served stone cold and we asked our egg to be cooked a little bit more but it came out still half raw and uncooked.
p. l.
Breakfast was a good serving and well done.
K. S.
Great place to have brunch. Superb coffee, poached eggs were perfect. We always end up here when we are in Maleny.
S. A.
A great place to enjoy coffee with a view

Beautiful view, lovely atmosphere, friendly service with knowledgeable staff, good food and coffee. We stop here normally for coffee and cake when we pass through Montville.

The ham and cheese croissants are AWESOME!!!! The staff are kind and friendly.... thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍

Nice food and good service. You feel like you are up in the trees which is lovely. You get a bit of a view but somewhat blocked by trees.
C. S.
$6.95 for a mug of Lavazza coffee is way too expensive. $1.50 surcharge for extras (soy, extra shot, etc.). We aren't in Saint Marco Square.
S. M.
Great food and drinks, best toasted cheese sandwich of my life. Fast food service, good waitresses. Amazing views and excellent decor and atmosphere
F. S.
Poor service and average food. Nice views of the valley below. Good for tourists, but not for locals.
M. &. K. D.
Lovely place for coffee and or a meal

Can this place get more French? A couple of the staff speak French and it must have been a busy day, there were a few accented arguments behind counters. Food and coffee is ok. Pastries are excellent

Fantastic food and top quality service. Always love coming here

Excellent food, amazing desserts, great views, a little expensive but worth the price. One of my favourite restaurants on Sunshine Coast.

Beautiful setting, nice food and very friendly staff who provided excellent service
M. J.
Food range could be a little more diet friendly but great service, great coffee and best views
C. M.
Lovely spot with a relaxing ambience. The clear tarp is a bit of a distraction. View would be better if its rolled up on days with good weather.
A. T.
Great food.. fast service.
J. T.
great service, was greeted by a cheery waiter before we even set foot inside the cafe.
S. M.
Poet's cafe was a wonderful place for lunch, didn't get to see any new parents spectacularly shown the door, damn shame, however the food and atmosphere made up for the lack of a show!
T.
Food was very nice and the services was exceptional. Thank you for a lovely experience!
R. N.
beautiful surrounds, great food and lovely staff. highly recommend
N. B.
This is a quaint cafe in a great village setting . We came in for afternoon tea and cake late on a Sunday so I can't comment on the food but I'd delicately come for lunch if I'm local in the future

Usually this place is brillant. Not impressed on a week day. The food for what we had was too expensive. Bit disappointed as ive had such a lovely time before.
D. C.
Very lovely location, inside and out, good service, good food ... A lovely way to share our Friday.

Beautifil view and atmosphere. The cake tasted alright but not the best. It is a good place to be in the arvo to hang out over tea.
A. L.

M. H.
Nice area great view food and coffee were good
M. T.
Beautiful view but over priced. Coffee was good but $10 for a small bowl of chips is a bit much.

a beautiful setting, clean and tidy cafe, great value for money, menu was varied and the food was delicious...lost one star as the service was a little bit slow
M. D.
For a meal we dined the scenery Devine, the place for a date.
L. B.
Okay food, weird staff, interesting decor. Would go for a coffee because the building is cool but not worth it to eat.
B. B.
Wouldn't call it economical. Wagu Burger was ok, too much going on with it. They forgot the coffee we ordered, didn't apologize either.

Stunning location .awesome food .slightly strange to advertise opening hours at one time then tell customers not open for another 30 minutes but worth the wait.

Nice establishment, however, the food was below expectations for the price.

Good upmarket place to eat right in the heart of Montville. Not much of a view of the Sunshine Coast with the growing trees in the rear.
