Pretty average food for the price. When I arrived the staff were pretty on the ball with greeting me and were polite. When I was asked to sit and choose a table, most of them hadn't been wiped down yet and had visible debris from other people's meals still left on them. The food arrived very quickly as did my drink, but the staff seemed a bit distracted chatting with one another. Pretty sure the tables were only wiped down because staff only noticed after bringing my food over that everywhere I could have sat was dirty.

Service was seemed friendly, but quite slow in some respects. The food and drinks came out quick, which was good. The food was presented well, but the taste was just ok. Both myself and my wife felt our dishes needed to be better seasoned, and had to add a fair bit of salt. The Eyefillet was slightly overcook, more of a medium well rather than the medium rare that was ordered. And it needed a sauce or something to go with the steak, as it was quite bland. Overall, customer service needs some work.

It's a small restaurant so there won't be many waitresses. You may have to wait a little. However, I am liking the new menu as compared to the one before. The king prawn spaghetti is good and the bugs (hope they are a little larger) are very nice.

Place is nice and relax, staff are friendly. The food was delicious. We had the valentines day menu, 5 course meal, it was really good, you get to try different dishes and flavours. I recommend it. Will be coming back.

Breakfast was amazing, stayed two nights at The Sebel (next door) and ate the smashed avo and the grilled haloummi. The halloumi was the better of the two and it is served with pumpkin and beetroot relish/sauce. Only regret that I didn't get that the first breakfast. Coffee was good too.

I have been to this restaurant twice now over the course of a week, and was impressed on both occasions with the quality & freshness of the food, the timely service by friendly and professional staff, and the great central location. However, on this last occasion, I was a bit surprised, as the bill came to $160 without drinks, before my Accor Discount was applied. This was a party of 4. However, what the restaurant was trying to pass off as a 300g eye fillet steak, was actually a scotch fillet with 25% wastage. That is why I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5.

This is a great place, I was having trouble finding somewhere to eat out with my multiple food restrictions, no place I went to had anything on their menu I could eat, when I came here, they had nothing I could eat off the menu either, but still accommodated me and just cooked something up specifically with me restrictions in mind, the meal they provided was delicious, the steak was beautiful and juice; the veg was flavourful and not bland, despite my restrictions, Thank U soo much to the cook and bartender/waiter for the amazing experience and effort to accommodate me!! I will most definitely be coming back 💖

Turned up to have breakfast today we were greeted by the waitress and informed that they were full but we were welcome to wait. Once we were seated she was more than happy to allow us to switch seating. As we observed Gia the waitress while waiting for our food, we were so impressed with the level of excellent service that she provided for everyone that was seated and for takeaway. Gia was the only waitress working and kept the food coming and hot drinks being served. She was cleaning and maintaining a great front of house. I can not commend her enough with how busy she was with NO help from behind the counter staff that she kept a smile and a very professional look. She must have been very overwhelmed with what she had to do by herself but she did an amazing job and really made this experience worth coming here. She deserves to be commended for her great service!

Absolutely wonderful. Loved Bobby's humour and friendliness and dead egg, inside joke; my husband likes his eggs cooked on both sides, which they obliged. Cassie's earrings, and the guy's patience and assistance while taking orders. We had a weekend at Sebel and thoughly enjoyed breakfast, cheese and wine plus cocktails. Food was delicious and cooked to our specifications. Wish this cafe was close to my home. Greg and Cheryl Pate 🙂

We went here on a Friday night for drinks. The interior was nice and cosy. The wait staff were lovely and checked on us multiple times to make sure we were OK. We ordered a couple of drinks and the price was super reasonable. My favourite was the amaretto sour!

We have returned many times. It has a nice cool corner for lover's, but get there early. A lot of lovers in Brisbane. Limited menu, but very high standard and friendly prices. Staff are most pleasant, unobtrusive, and attentive.

Read some negative reviews just thought I should add we had a lovely experience there for breakfast, staff friendly, pleasant environment food nice didn't wait to long chose to order through the phone which yes is a little painful initially but you also had the option to order at counter

Lovely atmosphere and ambiance, however is lacking in the service department. No staff manning the door to great people, had to wait for a staff member to notice us before we were seated. Unfortunately we also found a hair in our food, the staff handled this professionally and appropriately however it did dampen the experience.

My Mum and I both work in the city and normally stay clear of sit down restaurants as they can take a while to prepare your food, but with the express dishes from here we were able to come in, order and be out within the limited time we get for lunch. We have definitely put this place in our list of lunchtime hot spots.

Great food, Bad service I dined at the croft house a few days ago for dinner with 3 others and my experience wasn't the best. the service was terrible, we waited around 20 min to get our order taken after we sat down and the restaurant was barely half full , but once our order was finally take the food came out very quickly and all our meals were absolutely delicious and reasonably price. but yet again the service team let us down we were half way through our meals when our drinks finally arrived after asking wait staff multiple times. i think the service at the croft house needs a lot of work and attention so that the service can compliments the great food
