Of course you see the best view of Brisbane while sipping your coffee here. The Cafe might not be the best in town but having coffee in the lookout is irresistible!

I watched as the same innocent customers had their food taken from their hands by swooping birds. The cafe staff replaced their hamburger. The ground dwelling Bush Turkey's are also problematic. It's just something to be mindful of and not be tempted to feed the birds. The best views are to be had here.

This special place is my go-to .. when I want to be out and about and do something and eat something Yummy, and not sure what to Do . I end up here. And it's always Wonderful. This was the first place I was introduced to on Brisbane when I arrived in July 2021, and it's still my favourite place. I doubt that will change it will always be special and a go-to.

For a highly popular and busy spot, you may expect average quality food! However, this is NOT THE CASE 😁. All 4 meals were excellent, with a more than acceptable wait time for the serve... The coffee was great as well.. Great work guys, keep it up 👍🏻

The only downside? The clientele! Come here most days and all the staff are super friendly, coffee is a bit bitter but thats how i like it, some of my friends do need sugar though. The wait is long, gets windy to the point it is impossible to enjoy the food. Otherwise a great place to visit not too far from the cbd.

Great view, cafe was very efficient, meal and drink order , didn't have to wait long and good quality. Wasn't expensive considering location.

Had breakfast here on Saturday. Arrived at 730 am and was already very busy and noisy, but there were some empty tables. Coffee was very good. I had the avocado and halloumi. It was only warm by the time I got it. Eggs were hard not soft and runny like they should have been. My husband had the granola. No spoon came out so had to wait for staff to get one. Milk was In a glass so when poured, it went down side of glass and slopped everywhere. Milk needs to be in a jug to avoid the mess. Other than that, it was nice sitting in the sun looking out over Brisbane.

We always do the hike from Slaughter Falls up to the cafe and the food is always great. We noticed a new staff member Zac today who was on point! His customer service and organisation of the staff was impeccable. Thanx Zac you are a legend! Would love to see the Panko Crumbed Calamari on the menu again!!

Big breaky and Vegan breaky are great. For the price though can’t say it’s amazing. The waffles say Nutella but pretty sure it was just chocolate sauce. Wait staff are friendly but the lady at the counter this morning was abit sour. Probably just come for the view next time.

Great location and atmosphere. Although it was at a peak time the staff were all relaxed, attentive and helpful. The food came out quickly and was good, considering the number and turn over of tables. My suggestion would be that chef could make their life easier by going with a tried and expected fresh tomato bruschetta rather than half a grilled tomato, cook mushrooms and two slices of toast. Sometimes the original form (like in the images) doesn't need reinventing for the sake of it. Well done to kitchen, foh and managers.

Cafe and gift shop with arguably the best views in Brisbane. Car parking adjacent. A great setting off point for various Mt Coot-tha walks or recovery from bike ride/ hikes. The coffee (and iced coffees during summer) are good as well.

Amazing outlook. Always known as one of the best views in Brisbane. You can enjoy the view from just about any table at the Cafe. Perfect for going for a walk along one of the many tracks and then coming back for an icecream. Amazing this is only a stones throw from the Brisbane CBD.

We came for breakfast. Lovely view and position. The food was yummy. And, the service was fabulous. It was quite cold when we visited but the staff were really happy to turn on the heaters for us so we could stay outside and enjoy the sunrise. I would definitely recommend visiting.

One of the premier locations of over 300° viewing rotating NE to NW. Moreton Island, Stradbroke, down to Gold Coast highrise (with binoculars) and mountains right round to Toowoomba and beyond. Gift shop and Cafe with lots of seating. Restaurant currently under restoration Oct 2021. Disabled access as well. Reaches 40° in high summer so pick wisely the time to go. Walks thru forest areas in every direction for those planning to earn their luncheon. THE best place for night time shots of the city. Amateur astronomy set ups occasionally allow the general public to view the more rare events such as dark spots on the sun's surfaces, eclipses and blood moon views. Strongly recommend a bird spotting scope or 10x50 binos to zoom in on things like Tangalooma (Moreton Island 5pm ish) dolphin feeding. That's so so far away and invisible with the naked eye.

A beautiful hill-station for a relaxing evening. A picnic spot for families with some restaurant and cafeterias right at the top of the hill. Windy and cooling in the evenings and you can capture the entire Brisbane city view from right here.

I went to the Kuta Cafe by riding a cycle. It was my first time on cycle and then I was really exhausted!! I ordered iced latte with vanilla syrup and it saved my life haha! 💪💪 And I remember tap water in the cafe was amazing. The flavour was so different than other cafe. If you visit Kuta Cafe, you must drink water.

This morning I visited the cafe. I was with my dog so I anticipated that I would be only able to get my coffee and croissant take away. However, I was pleasantly surprised by being able to be seated outside with my dog easily. I was also apprehensive due to the line being long that my coffee would take a while to come. A great place to have coffee or tea with a nice view of Brisbane City. Expect it to be crowded since it is one of the only 2 cafe/restaurant at the summit and a popular tourist spot. We usually visit during weekdays and at timings not clashing with lunch and dinner to avoid the crowd. Decent coffee and food with slightly higher price, which is expected.

What's not to like...good food, awesome staff and an amazing view! I visited the summit today for lunch. I ordered the fish and chips. At first i thought it was expensive but it was so worth the money. The fish was soft and flakey and the batter crispy without being greasy! Although busy, the staff couldnt have been more friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be returning!

I am really surprised that this cafe has such bad reviews! We go here regularly, especially with international guests and it always has been a good experience. The views are simply fantastic - best in Brisbane! The setup and cafe is very nice, not contemporary but it has a nice natural feel. Although parking is not overly easy, we always find a spot. The coffee is really good and we liked the food as well. The cake selection was better than the average cafe. Yes, its a bit pricey but hey, this is absolutely normal in such a location and no reason to be surprised. Staff was alright, its a busy place and they always look like they work hard to keep up with the crowds. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor has umbrellas to provide shade.

Love the views here. Probably one of the better views in Brisbane. I would much rather table service as you’re not guaranteed a table during peak times. I’ve never really had any issues with the coffee but your cakes taste stale like they’ve been sitting there for a day or two. I agree with one of the PPs that there should be an adequate amount of tables with shade as there are tables that directly hit the sun. Not ideal when you have kids but a great place to enjoy a coffee.

I went here for breakfast and ordered eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon was amazing and the service was good food came quite fast all in all the View 5 Stars, Service 4.5 Stars and price 4 stars (a bit expensive)

Excellent salad, very filling for a pretty good price! The cakes and slices look amazing! Sitting outside you have an incredible view of the city. There's free parking too, definitely worth a visit.

The Cafe is a lovely outdoor spot on a sunny Sunday morning. Being a perfect Brisbane day, it was incredibly packed with full tables right at the get-go. So the service was a little slow and food quality not quite what we've had before. I know it's impossible to predict, but on gorgeous days like to today, it might be worth having some extra staff on standby in the kitchen and serving.

We had a beautiful walk through all the trails from early in the morning till late, we were so hungry at the end and ordered a savoury snack with was very dry and so disappointing as looked amazing, we still ate all of ate as we was so hungry but I just thought I would mention it for future customers so they were not disappointed also and maybe they could change up the recipe, I come all the time and never had this experience, was my god Mums first visit and we planned for afternoon tea in a few weeks for my birthday which after this said not sure I want to! When talking to the beautiful supervisor she really apologised and gave us complimentary fries and a couple of cakes which was beautiful of her as I never expected that outcome at all ! I love the hot choccy and coffee here and honestly I am so great full and we cart wait to return for the high tea in a few weeks !

The food was poor, considering how little effort needs to go into presenting such a simple menu. The prices are reasonable and attractive and make it possible for visitors to sit and take in the special view of Brisbane. Someone needs to take a look at the food being served, question the standards of taste and the means of achieving that.

Whole beans (instead of refried) were fine, sour cream was nice, salsa/tomato stuff was horrible. Sour and sickly sweet and the guacamole was extremely spicy. Was a very generous serve (as it should be for the price $16) and easily would feed 2 kids and a not so hungry parent but it wasn't the best. Their are signs up indicating that dogs are not to be in the dining area but there was one there.

We have been to this place quiet a few times now, coffees are reasonable and from menu one of our favourite picks is wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli. Great taste every time it’s served really hot and fresh, coffee usually takes a while but considering mt coottha being a tourist spot the number of orders staff deals with makes it a bit tough for them however the time they take to deliver orders isn’t that bad You get amazing view with your drinks and food, sometimes depending what time of the year coffee is an essential there :)

The website says the café does not accept bookings or reservations at all (I just looked it up before writing to be sure). The staff over the phone told us that they do not accept reservations for the weekend. I wonder why that when we arrived on a wet Saturday, that all the inside tables and the majority of the outside tables were "Reserved". None of the staff cared and were not interested in answering polite questions about it. The location is lovely, and I have eaten reasonable take-away from here in the past, but the service? If you want food when you are at this great lookout, bring your own or be prepared to take it away.

You know those food establishments that by their location become a monopoly in their own market and by default slip into VERY average food and service. Well this is a prize example, the view is fantastic and gives a great perspective of Brisbane but don't expect much else. The coffee is not bad and the staff look like good people lacking inspiration. Why doesn't one of Brisbane s great coffee shop owners take control of this place and make it something we can be proud of.

Hi guys , we ordered 2 Kuta breakfasts and 1 eggs Benedict ,the tomato was green and not cooked,only 1 small butter to use o two preaces of Turkish bread ,the chipolatas needed more cooking , now this is ok I suppose BUT , the eggs Benedict arrived with a muffin sliced in half ,no butter on them ,spinach dropped on top ,two poached eggs and a bottled holanaise sauce ( not home made , now where is the salmon ? Bacon ? Ham ? ,nope not here ,so we tell the waiter who leaned across in front of me to place the other meal on the table for my friend ,we asked where was the salmon etc ,he went off and returned with a saucer with some salmon on it , I then asked if they had some cooked tomato ? As ours had not rested on the hot plate long enough ,sHe returned with half a tomato that had been nuked in the micro wave , I then approached the manager and told her about the missing salmon etc and told her about the zapped tomato , she said she had raised the issue about the eggs Benedict with the powers that be and the way the menu is presented , she was lost for words about the zapped tomato , anyway I left her and went back to my now cold breakfast and she later returned with a refund and apologies and expressed her frustration with her boss and chef etc ,so I will say the manager is the person who has to deal with the problems that are created by upper manegment , she handled it well and thank you to her ,I give this cafe 5/10 ,and ps - the souvenir shop next door sells stuffed koalas etc for the tourists, thing is they have a made in China tag on them mmmmm,I would suggest that this very nice place and a must see for all has some one do a once over to identify the issues that lets it down as a great spot for Brisbane to showcase its self to worldly visitors , I am nemo
