Maybe you've walked by this unassuming establishment before, with its unassuming entrance that assumes nothing, but after reading this review you won't be walking by. No, you will be walking inside to buy a delicious coffee and maybe a delicious treat or your delicious lunch or one of the other menu options that are deliciously available; except for times when you are not hungry or are in a bit of a rush or when it's after 4pm and even though you would enjoy drinking another delicious coffee deep down you know that it will keep you up all night if you do, on those occasions you might walk by. But when you don't do that, you will not regret it! Location: second to none General vibe: assumes nothing Coffee: delicious Perks: Loyalty Program Service: Outstanding, upstanding and all of the other standings Banter: 10/10 Noteworthy deals: Coffee + Treat! What else: they do catering 5 stars.

Great food and great pricing, I have dined here many times and have found the best time to go is between 8am and 11am. The coffees and chai lattés are great and not powdery too. Everyone that works there is always super friendly too.

A pretty 'nothing' exterior and decor is an unexpected front to super chef-y, fresh-as brekkie fare. I ordered smashed avo on toast and was surprised at the charge, thinking it was a mistake I'd come to this place that overcharged. When it arrived, I got another surprise. One of THE best smashed avos ever with two large PERFECTLY poached eggs perched atop with balsamic glaze. Soooooo yum. Coffee was very promptly served and was great tho could have been a smidge hotter...to compensate for the Canberra chill factor. Great service, friendly professional staff, very clean setting. Would not have come in had it not been for the positive online reviews. Would suggest marketing yourselves better with a more colourful sign out the front sitting perpendicular to your shop front. Great business name with top fare and coffee deserves some good branding/signage.

Ubereat order took an hour to arrive because Capital Grind is taking its time to prepare it. While before I order ETA was 10-20 mins. Btw I live 2mins driving distance away. I wonder why don’t you serve sloppy joe obviously you dig the sloppy part quite well. Edit: and the maple syrup in the Belgium waffle is not sealed so it spilled all over the takeout plastic bag. Really messy to get it together. I’m letting you know takeout customers are customers too. It’s wrong to treat us this way Re-edit: food is actually great so bumped to three stars. But take note and do better takeout service

My favourite cafe in the city. Rocky and Jarred are very friendly, efficient and service is excellent. Bacon and eggs is so yummy too.

Capital Cafe Grind does really nice breafasts and lunch, my partner and I have breakfast often. You can get the breakfast and lunches as a takeaway if you dont have time to eat in.
