I really enjoy this place. It's a small place, where the front half sells bulk goods and the back half is tables. It's a limited breakfast menu, but it gives you the choice to select lots of beautiful add-ons (like broccolini (really yummy) or haloumi). They make a great coffee

I made a catering order for 60 people with Local Press Cafe and Wholefoods and I was extremely impressed. The order was fully vegan, gluten free and had a range of nut free options, and yet they managed to provide a delicious range of food across 5 courses. The amount of food was perfect for 60 people and I can't emphasis enough, it was absolutely delicious! I will certainly be coming back to the Local Press Cafe and Wholefoods for any future catering needs and I would strongly recommend that you do the same! Thank you!

One of the best Charcuterie boards you can find from a caterer. Awesome option for a corporate lunch. Also recommend their frittatas and quiches as well. Olivia was incredibly responsive and accommodating to our last minute request.

Excellent health foods store, Local Press Wholefoods has some of the most obscure ingredients desperate to get into your cooking routine. If you find a great vegan or Middle Eastern recipe, you’ll probably have to swing by here to fill it out. Among the herbs and spices are a great range or oils and vinegars. The café doesn’t quiet match up to the store’s superb offerings. The coffee grind isn’t optimised, so expect only a passable coffee - perfectly drinkable and you won’t send it back, but if you’re only allowed one coffee a day you’ll be disappointed. The food on offer is great quality with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, the menu is a little simple, so go here only relying on a small but delicious meal rather than looking for something mind-blowing. Seating inside is comfy and limited, outside you have a massive courtyard and plenty of room to soak up the sun. A great store that I strong recommend any cooks or gourmands become regulars at!

Best banana bread in canberra. The toastie was also to die for, we ended up getting a second one because the first was so good!! Quieter than the original which is nice, plus the bulk store attached is great to wander around

Best grazing boxes I've ever had!!! There was such a range of goodies in each box and all of the flavours went to well together. Most of the boxes were vegan and met our dietary needs perfectly. Olivia created exactly what we wanted and we will definitely be back! Cannot recommend them enough.

Local press catered for my morning tea. Their cakes and slices were delicious, and were very well presented with dried fruits and chocolate coated nuts. Everything was also dairy and gluten free! Thank you!

Oh my god. Attended today and had the best coffee since moving to Canberra 3 years ago. Such a special find; the bulk foods store is wonderfully set up and although I expected the cafe to feel crowded being in the middle of the store, it was perfectly peaceful and relaxing. Love this little spot, have always had delicious food in my lunch break and an amazing salad selection. Good place to pick up some bulk food as they have a great selection of things which I haven't found at other bulk food stores. Staff are always lovely and helpful. Great alternate to their busier sister store. Sadly the store is always so understaffed so I feel terrible for the front team members who have to juggle taking orders, making coffees and delivering food. Even in peak time on Saturday and Sunday there's is only 1-2 staff members out front

John and Alexandra catered for our family gathering with absolutely stunning food. Lush antipasto, sublime slow cooked lamb, warm and cool salads with panache, all presented beautifully, it made for a wonderful evening with family in the comfort of our home.

Date: 7 Oct 2018. Cafe: the tea was fine, the outdoor seating ordinary, but no sun protection. The seating is in the courtyard, which is nice and quiet. Bulk foods shop: the sunflower seeds were $8 per kilo like in Coles, Woolworths and ANU Food Coop. The nutritional yeast was about $20 per kilo if I remember correctly, which is cheaper than in Coles or Dickson Bulk Foods. Some of the other bulk foods were more expensive than in the ANU Food Coop or Dickson Bulk Foods.
