Not a gourmet location but super convenient and helpful staff and not expensive. The big plus here is the good coffee that is well executed. Had a delicious double espresso from ONA Ethiopian washed process single origin beans. There was a mistake on a dirty almond chai latte but they just immediately made another one no questions asked! Only giving 4 stars because the omelette game could be stepped up but fix that and I’d give 5. The big breakfast was a hit with my lil guy who smashed it. Gluten free options available and almond milk for those who are evading allergy issues.

we went there for Vietnamese pop-up dinner on Friday night. the vast seating inside outside and nice back ground music. the most importantly chef's authentic house made Vietnamese food was so freshly tasty and also delicate. some of her dishes you haven't tasted at any other places in Canberra! you must go there to taste Vietnam:):)

This is my favorite cafe in the city, close to my work. I particularly love how consistently good the coffee is - flavoursome, textured, well balanced and (to my liking) not scolding hot. I also love there vege burger. Instead of your usual chickpea or beetroot patty, they use a hash brown and it's really delicious 👌

I was served by a lovely girl with ginger hair. She was super friendly and the coffee was great too. Would definitely recommend. Will be coming back soon!! Lots of choice for seating, the outdoor area has a really nice vibe

It has been nearly a year since I received hard boiled poach eggs. I haven't tried you guys again since, until today. I wasn't feeling crash hot today, but wanted some poach eggs. I decided to give Playing Fields another go. I got eggs benny. You guys did this perfectly. Thank you. I will order from you guys again.

After being on several restaurants during a weekend in Canberra this was the best restaurant overall , mainly in regards to the service. Excellent service ! Young guys , very kind people , very quick and delicious food. Keep like that!

I'm not a coffee drinker so I'm not the target demographic here but the food is always tasty and the staff are pleasant. I tend to skip the hot chocolate though, it's pretty much what you expect from a cafe but there is better hot chocolate in the city.

Coffee was so-so, then again, I prefer Vittoria - not a fan of ONA seads. Heads-up: tripple shot is still weak. B&E ($8) was dry and the bun was a microwaved-'refreshed' oldie. Bacon was described as being crispy, but ended up being bacon-flavoured weatherboarding. Egg tasted like egg - a good thing. Ambience is nice, but feels like ginger beards tied with a bow would not be out of place. Nice staff and good background music.
