This is a very busy cafe with excellent café style food and lots of healthy meals available on the menu. There are also lots of yummy cakes and pastries for those occasions you want to treat yourself. Despite the constant pace the staff, in my experience, are very polite and efficient. At a recent visit with a frail elderly friend I was particularly impressed with one of the servers, Willy. He was very attentive and polite. It is a good idea to book especially on the weekend and over holiday periods. No table service- order at the counter. It’s 4.5 ⭐️ from me!

Pretty cool place. Plenty of outdoor seating, and a great play area for the kids. Cafe menu consists of a lot of all-day breakfast types options. Diets are catered for. I had the Brisket sandwich, it was great. Nicely flavoured and juicy. Would happily have again. The gift shop has a great range of local food stuffs and such. Which I'd say was a highlight.

First time at Rodney’s for a work Christmas lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating available. You can also browse around the nursery and deli after lunch. I had the gardener’s breakfast but swapped out the bacon with smoked salmon. Generous portion - lots of mushrooms. It filled my belly until dinner time. I had a T/A coffee afterwards, though I thought it was a bit pricey imo. I was lucky to find parking on-site, but a lot of my colleagues had to find parking outside, either on the grass or side of the road. Make sure you read the road signs, some areas have 2 hour parking, others will have “No-parking” signs.

A lovely place for a summer lunch. However, the person showing us to a table for two did not notice my companion's walking stick. The metal table looked good, but like the chairs was rickety. On a brighter note there was a good menu and both enjoyed our meal. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Last Tuesday we celebrated my mother's 97th birthday with a surprise lunch at Rodney's. From 12 people plus highchair, our numbers grew with most of the great-grandchildren attending. The meals were absolutely delicious - compliments to the chef - and they were served very quickly along with liquid refreshments. The staff supplied a candle & lighter for the cupcakes we provided - all the staff went out of their way to make this occasion very special. With the purple '97' balloons blowing in the wind, the shower of rain did not deter anyone. Mum who still loves her pot-plants was very impressed with the nursery - we will visit again for some shopping & lunch. Many thanks again especially Ann-Maria for the late booking - everyone was delighted with the day - and there was no pressure to go early!!

Best place for social distanced family event, playground is little but in a safe corner so you can enjoy your meal while your children are playing. quality of food is okay for its price, but hope they could've improve it a bit .. Generous serves for both savoury and sweets. There limited seating indoors though ample table seating outdoors that is well shaded. Cool outdoor seatings, lovely atmosphere and live music too. More than the food, we enjoyed the outdoor vibe. Very simple and limited menu. Unfortunately, the dishes we ordered didn't impress us. The Gardener's breakfast was ok, but the beef burger turned out lil uncooked and cold too. Reservation is recommended if you have a specific table in mind or a large crowd. They also have a kids play area.

The setting is nice, and the food and coffee was ok. The scone recipe needs some work - you don't want a scone that crumbles to pieces when you try to spread jam on it. The coffees took 20 minutes to arrive, and we'd finished the scones before the coffee arrived. TL;dr: scones were too crumbly, coffee took ages.

Fantastic eats in a great, homely, fresh and unique environment. I can’t praise this place enough. Toilets are always clean, staff are always friendly and the food is always good! Parking can be tough on weekends but it’s worth it.

We had a very nice experience at Rodney’s Garden Café. We went on a lovely sunny day and were seated outdoors under the shade, surrounded by greenery. Our group ordered pancakes, and a chicken burger special, both of which looked delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my eggs benedict, and was particularly impressed by the best hollandaise sauce I’ve had in a loooong time (something hollandaise enthusiasts are sure to appreciate!). It’s clear that good quality ingredients were used. I’d recommend making time to wander around the nursery before or after as well 🪴

Adults food was great we had bacon mushroom and eggs and their equivalent of a ploughman's lunch. Don't bother with the kids lunchbox, the ham and cheese sandwich was a bit stale and wrapped in a ziplock bag and it arrived in a cardboard box like a happy meal. It included an individually wrapped piece of cheese, fredo frog, box of sultanas and a juice box. This could have all been served on a plate without all the wrapping such a waste. Serving it on a plate would also help child feel part of the meal/family.

An absolute delight even for a "family lunch trip". We loved the place. Every person from the staff was lovely, patient and knowledgeable. One of them wasn't sure about our question and right away called someone who could answer the question. We were "just looking" and ended up buying a gorgeous Japanese Maple. On top of that, the cafe is delicious and beautifully located so you feel really calm around the plants in a great atmosphere. Give it a try and judge by yourself 😊 you won't regret it.

Great tasting food and really fast service. There's a playground for the kids to play in and there was a local musician there playing music. It's a really relaxed atmosphere, with the sound of running water in the garden being a nice sound to eat to. Highly recommended, but book ahead as it can be busy.

Delightful cafe in a beautiful location! Had lunch here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the food as I am a vegetarian and options were a bit sparse. Thankfully, my corn cakes were delicious and the chilli jam was spicy (for me) but not overpowering. Will definitely be back again!

The staff lovely the Manager needs to address his manner & attitude. Stopped off for lunch there on Saturday the girl was confused on register he was rude & abrupt to her & I. Ordered food two out three meals good one steak completely raw just hit the pan and out. No apologies no sincerity. When returning with proper cooked food nothing was said just plonked it on table. Had to change water glasses twice as dirty. I appreciate everyone is struggling through this time I always give positive feed back to everywhere. But this I couldn't all because of the manager. He runs around the place with a scowl. The rest of the place is lovely worth the visit. But I couldn't eat there again. Lots of plates went back with food still on them so obviously its a problem. I couldn't give less than 3 because the rest of staff lovely.

They have carried out a refurbishment here since our last visit and have done a good job on it. There is good seating inside and a ton of outdoor seating . There is a good range on the menu and they had a good selection of cakes. The staff were very attentive and switched on in respect of Covid rules. We both enjoyed our meals, and drinks.

Lovely setting but OMG the food is so incredibly overpriced even when compared to Sydney inner west prices. Be aware of the 15% additional fee they charge for public holidays and probably Sundays also. Don't get me wrong, food is nice (although our poached eggs were all over cooked) but not worth the prices they charge.

Nice place to bring kids and have something delicious. There are lots of shady spots, under trees and umbrellas. In a hot sunny day, kids can still play and grown-ups can sit back and relax. I like the play equipment being natural, not too much plastic. I enjoyed my sauteed mushrooms and a poached egg on toasted sourdough, but kid's pancakes seemed a little smaller than we expected.

A crowded casual restaurant with inside and outside tables. Glad we booked to secure our small inside table for 4. The same tables are used to seat two guests. A sufficient menu with enough choices including "breakfast" items on a laminated menu. Lots of staff but still a wait time to get to your table and then to order from the counter. Drinks came double quick and the main food items - gourmet burger and an underwhelming garden plate followed soon after. Nice place for Sunday lunch with lots of people around just out of reach but restricting movement between tables. Food and drink was average but certainly acceptable. Need another visit or two before adding it to the possible destination list in Canberra. Room for improvement including a reminder that Gentlemen usually remove their hats and or caps inside. Only 3 stars because of hat policy, admittedly not a big issue but still an ISSUE.

You can get all your garden necessaties here under one roof at a little bit pricy prise but still affordable for the quality.
