Great atmosphere, amazing Staff and of course delicious food and coffee. Highly recommended. Their pastries and bread are a must try as well..
N. M.
Friendly staff, probably the biggest thing to consider when the coffee provided by each cafe in ACT has such good coffee!
Busy and wonderfully fitted out. Only place it lost a mark was the cleanliness, could do with a touch up here and there, wicked work from all and the guy running the outdoor seating section was great!
S. N.
Great local suburban cafe serving all day breakfast. Coffees were excellent, baked eggs packed flavour but a tad small in size. The eggs benedict was amazing.
Place has a great vibe, the decor borders on industrial and the open kitchen adds theatre.
Wait staff were friendly, courteous and prompt. Highly recommended.
S. V.
I had to make a new review! We usually come here to buy their delicious bread, specially the pumpkin one. We also have tried their coffee and it's really good. One thing I was missing was vegan options in their menu, but now they have a vegan menu and the options are very nice. We tried the vegan shrooms and the vegan mushroom burger and we were not disappointed. Will definitely come back to try the other options and as always buy more bread.

Very positive, energetic vibes from the heart of Watson.
I treated my family to lunch and enjoyed the outdoor setting. Plenty of space and plenty to see in this wonderful corner cafe.
The service was great and the menu had so many delicious items, that it was hard to choose.
Definitely would go back again.
L. H.
Friendly staff, nice food and great coffee!
J. B.
Food is good but getting expensive. What we did dislike was the weekend surcharge of $7:59 which is typical Canberra but ludicrous given weekends are the busiest times. Not the publics fault if it’s quieter through the week! For two people today it cost $86 and we left a lot of food on our plates. Might be time to have a rethink guys!!
C.
I really liked the atmosphere. I ordered the french toast with poached pears and walnuts. It was very pretty, but way too sweet for me. I enjoy the savoury taste of french toast (it was a bun) but it was swamped in sweet syrup.
L. C.
Great food, the pumpkin bread is fantastic, and good service but super super busy on the weekend! We got there pretty early and still couldn't find a table, though it doesn't help that you can't book a table for under 6 ppl, so it seemed like heaps of tables for reserved. They also have a bakery section and their baked goods and cakes look amazing! Definitely worthwhile checking this place out, just either book or be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend.
P. L.
I have had breakfast here several times and it has always been very good.
The service is quick and efficient and staff have always been friendly.
The potato rosti here is one of my favourites and the Danish pastries are some of the best I have found in Canberra.
L. H.
Boss place for brunch. Everything is super tasty, with a varied menu which caters for all sort of dietary requirements (dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free etc). I had the rosti burger vegan (disappointed I had to pay extra for mushrooms to replace the egg and houlumi though, if it's a sub should be no extra charge. Especially as mushrooms are much cheaper than those items). Coffee was great too. Nice areas to sit inside and out, with dog friendly front seating.
a. s.
As their motto says "FOR THE LOCALS, By the Locals" it is one of the best local cafes around the Watson area, I must have been there 50 times but never been disappointed by their coffee, food and service.
One of the best Cafe in Canberra &
I recommend it to anyone who has not been there before or looking for a cafe around Watson.
V. C.
Super efficient service . QR code or counter ordering available. Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent location for a quick brekkie leaving Canberra early on a Saturday.
P. T.
came for brunch. nice enough seating and staff. coffee came out cold and a milkshake was lost in orders. food was tasty when all problems were resolved
L.
Avo was a little too "blended to pulp" for my liking, try just serving half an avo, looks better on the plate. Coffee was good. Chips were a fail, awful yellow colour and tasted like old oil. You would find better chips at a dingy fish and chips shop down a side road in a country town.
S. F.
Great service - staff were really friendly.
They were super busy, but our food still came out quickly. The food looked and tasted amazing! All round a great atmosphere.
R. L.
First time here from Sydney it was Absolutely lovely and wonderful food the staff were fantastic I highly recommend this place but if there is more than 5 of you you must book on line as they get really busy and I can see why I will be back most definitely.
Y. L.
Food and coffee were great! I liked the simple menu, cafe interior and bakery. Almonds croissant was so good too ;) if a girl was bit nice who served me would make perfect though.
L. L.
Busy cafe in sub.
Great atmosphere, food was stand out !!!!
Definitely will back to try out more food.
T. B.
Delicious food. They are happy to edit menu items to cater for dietary requirements and there is usually a vegan cake option also. Would also recommend picking up a loaf of their bread to take home.
Pictured is the pumpkin bread dish with the egg swapped for a potato rosti, and the breakfast burger with the pork swapped for haloumi
G. R.
Nice brunch spot. Eat in or out. Some tasty options on the menu.
T. W.
The knox is one of those places that the locals own. Local shops, local food, local staff - local love. Food always hits the mark and with a onsite bakery and local coffee (Red Brick) you know that you are nourishing your soul and supporting a local family business. Breakfast on this occasion was the smoked trout eggs Benny with a fresh squeezed energizer juice. The perfect kick off to an 8degree Canberra Winter morning :) Gets super busy morning n the weekend so get there early or book ahead with 6 or more.
L. C.
WOW, a great cosy restaurant with great food and drinks. A nice cosy bakery and great friendly staff. I highly recommend The Knox.
G.
One of those institutional CBR cafes down the local shops that has become so popular it’s had no choice but to expand - a testament to how tasty the breakfasts, brunches and lunches are, and how friendly and chatty the atmosphere is. The menu changes regularly which adds variety.
L. P.
We've been coming here for years and are loving the bakery addition still. Most recently we've been into the fruit loaf and the new pizza flavours.
R. P.
Great suburban centric coffee shop with breakfast and lunch menu. The coffee is acceptable, albeit the slow barista. Food portions is ample and tasty. Saturdays seem to be the busiest mornings, but if you are planning a lazy morning and don’t want to go the city, this coffee will do.
C. M. (. O.
While restrictions are still in place, seating could be more spacious. However they are doing their best to control people coming and going.
Staff friendly, and good food.
Vege, vegan and gluten free options avalible .
G. B.
Purchased a chicken & mushroom pie absolutely the best pie I’ve tasted 👌compliments to the Cheff and great coffee! So Happi I live in Watson
D. M. J.
First time visiting, recommended as the second best place by trip advisor for 2017 and I can see why it was, the waiters were very happy and smiley, the decor inside was modern and welcoming, and the selection on the menu is modest and tasty!
We had the sweet potato frita and vegetable rosetia. Left away feeling warm and fuzzy and will definitely be coming back! Well done to the owners and the chefs!
C. S.
Delicious food and great coffee. This cafe has a lovely atmosphere, serving breakfast and lunch with an impressive menu and amazing specials. They change up their dishes seasonally and I have always been impressed with what I get.
M. R.
Fantastic food. Highly recommended, I had the salmon benny and chai latte.
S. S.
Surprisingly charming place. Wait was fairly quick even though we went during peak brunch hour, and they were hammered so the food took a little while longer than usual. Everyone enjoyed their food, it was a great atmosphere and we weren't cramped in like sardines such as other places. Worth the wait, decent food.
h. K.
normally its hard to get a table for 4 in sydney especially sunday morning, here has a big space so you'll get served very quickly. staff were friendly , pastry was nice too.
A. R.
My son and I had a delicious breakfast at this cafe on Easter Sunday. Being one of the very few cafes open that day, it was really busy (although maybe it’s always that way), but they managed the queue system very efficiently. Both my son and I really enjoyed our food and drinks. They also have a bakery, and the goods were flying off the shelves. Judging by their popularity, I can’t but assume that they’re awesome, too. I’d love to go again next time we’re in Canberra.
L. W.
I love the Knox, all the food is so delicious. I’ve taken my mum and my MIL and they have all loved it. From Benedict breakfast to the duck spring rolls. Yum yum. I also went for a plate of different sides so I could choose exactly what I wanted.
L.
Wasn’t all that happy with the quality of food, for the price I paid. Both the chicken pie and ham and cheese croissant was a little dry for my liking, and the custard danish was literally a thin piece of pastry, with a thin layer of custard. I have heard great stuff about Knox so happy to give it another go and try other items on the menu!
C. T.
Would love to give a 3.5 star! Been there twice. It is very busy, food does take a while to come out!
Great vegan menu! But would have been nice if the staff member knew the menu. I received milk coffee and eggplant instead of mushrooms on the vegan Benny. Partners vegan shrooms was amazing though!
G. M.
A good local cafe. Good bakery goods.
Food really good.
Clean Toilets.
Nice atmosphere.
Indoor and outdoor seating.
Now has a bakery.
Next to supermarket.
Free street parking.
E. C.
Love this little local cafe! Great coffee, decent food, and the atmosphere and staff is good too. Can get very busy! I love the industrial decor inside and the outside tables are very inviting. This is my go-to place in the 'hood.
P.
I arrived for takeaway at the end of peak hour on Saturday (1100) and it was very busy. I was there for takeaway coffee and nibbles and was greeted with friendly, fast service! I was given no number, they didn't need my name, they knew the oredrs well and promptly delivered. An unexpected gem in the middle of Watson. This is why I explore suburban cafes!!!
I'll be back for a sit down breakfast for sure.
A. M.
Very busy little cafe in Watson but rightly so. The service, food and coffee was superb! Definitely recommend trying the Mexican eggs and their Portuguese custard tarts. Highly recommend this cafe and would definitely be back!
E. M.
Delicious food, quick service, friendly staff. Pictured is the s'mores French toast which was incredible. My only recommendation is to not get a hot chocolate to go with it as you'll find yourself overwhelmed by sweetness.
c.
A must if your passing thru Watson. Top notch staff making great coffee and yummy food.
H. Z. T. (.
Wonderful atmosphere and good service! Wifi available and pet friendly (outdoor seating for pet owners). Will return!
A. C.
Coffee is excellent, and the service is fantastic. Staff are all super trans friendly!
M. O.
The food is fresh & delicious but coffee not so much. There is sugar on the tables but no teaspoons...
E. R.
Hidden gem. Watson residents are lucky to have such a great cafè at their local shops. Great coffee and quite possibly the best pastries in Canberra.
L. L.
There were lots of people. I waited about 30min. Dessert was fantastic and the coffee was fine.
c.
Great food and nice vibes! Was pretty packed when I went although food didn't take long at all
R. D.
Great new menu, whole vegan menu and lots of local wines and beers
A. F.
Great venue! Amazing food! Friendly staff!
We went for our Sunday brunch. My 8 yrs old ate all of his kids burger, which he usually has a half of the same kind. French toast was different and unique. And yum! Anyone can find something they like for their dietary and preference.
Our taste buds were all pleased (vegetarian, DF + GF, and small picky eaters).
Great outdoor seating for kids and furry friends, where they can enjoy running around in the sun. Grownups have some breathe.
Also check out eco-friendly and healthy items at their shelves AND not to mention their bakery section. I can continue talking about this cafe on and on and on. But nothing beats trying it out yourself. It's worth a visit.
k. h.
$4.50 coffee cup size. When I received, I thought it is espresso cup.haha😂
P. D.
Friendly service, great food and I definitely be going back for more.
P. W.
I came in for brekky last week and was not disappointed. I had the eggs Benny with smoked trout and the eggs were cooked perfectly! Very nice trout flavours without being overpowering, and the coffee I had was pretty good too. The cafe was very busy while I was there, but I can't fault you on that. The tables were well spaced out and I felt comfortable that you were following regulations. All in all a great breakfast spot! Five stars.
r. j.
A favourite after school location for coffees, juice and sweet treats. The freshly squeezed apple juice was appreciated by the children. The coffee has improved recently, being served in reasonably sized cups, and blended nicely.
K. M.
My partner and I went to the Knox meeting Watson, had the best experience and received excellent customer service. The manager was incredibly welcoming and managed a very busy weekend morning very well. the eggs bene was delicious and the coffee and food came very quickly even though it was so busy. Will definitely come again!
E. C.
Food and coffee were great, nice ambience outside even on a blustery cold Canberra morning. Staff very friendly and easy to interact with. I really liked the pay as you go setup which makes it easy when dining with others. Highly recommended, but make sure you book ahead as the place seems very popular and busy.
O. S.
First time here after hearing so many good things, came away impressed.
Super friendly and accommodating front of house staff (served by Katie, who was so lovely and made an incredible smoothie (her recipe!)).
Food is generously portioned, but a little pricey... Until you hear that it's all local! They charge the real price for food because they use real food. Came out super fast too for what looked like a reasonable service (not full, but close to it)
Coffees were pretty good, first one was beautiful but the second was a little astringent, nothing a sugar can't fix!
Very Covid-19 aware so good on them for playing by the rules.
Will be back
J. M.
Good food, especially for dine in when you can get a seat. No option to reserve a table for dinner service or lunch.
I've found the service when in come to takeaway food was a little lacking as my food was sitting under the heat lamps for a while before anyone collected it. The kitchen could have atleast read the name out for the order as it was takeaway and the quality of my burger was subpar with the bun being extremely soggy and the bacon a little stringy.
D. K.
A well loved local focal point with excellent coffee and excellent bakery items. All Watson residents swear by it 🙂
L. M.
The coffee was the best I've had in Canberra and it looked just as good as it tasted!
Price also matched the food which was average, nothing special.
Location was warm and really stood out in Watson however the staff weren't friendly whatsoever. Not rude but don't expect much.
S. B.
Great food and fantastic service :)
W. F.
The Knox was a very pleasant experience for me and my family. The local ✨vibes✨ are amazing and it was great to see a community come together. My wait -staff, Lucy hatch was extremely helpful and amicable. chooksy did an great job with handling the food and was a delight to be around :)
R.
I am glad you are open again. The Knox has a distinctive style of an urban cafe serving the cultured people from the suburb of Watson. Coffee and breakfasts are good.
D. M.
It’s understandably popular during the day.
The sourdough is really nice, and you can get it sliced or not. It toasts beautifully.
I prefer to eat in at night when it’s quieter, for a burger or pizza with a Bentspoke beer, it’s very nice then,
I. V. J.
I have moved from Sydney last year and this is the best coffee I've had in Canberra so far. I've been going through their selection of breads for weeks and none has disappointed yet.
P. K.
Great food and very friendly service. The weekly specials are usually very tempting. Dog-friendly courtyard out front.
K. T.
Great range of baked goods. Excellent pastries and selection of cakes! Food (as in full meals) are average. They are reasonably priced though
M. T.
Delicious food in a cool setting. Best brekky I've had in a while. Highly recommended.

The online ordering is a bit slow, but the results are definitely worth the wait.

Great cafe. Staff are great, location and atmosphere is really nice. Lots of staff!! Make their own juices.. delicious and food is good.

Great cafe at the Watson shops. Good bakery selection, the coffee was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended
M. M.
Nice staff, yummy pastries, not enough vegetarian options
S. B. (.
A great place to begin and end a Hash run! Tasty food and amazing bakery items.
P. B.
Great atmosphere, quick & friendly service & yummy food. Also delicious looking cakes. Great find in Canberra.

Love the food, seating was a bit cramped but very kid friendly.
J. T.
Nice coffee, great bakery. It can be a bit crowded and senms to be popular with the mum's in active wear crowd but a nice relaxing atmosphere overall. Just be careful if you sit outside as the mums let their toddlers run everywhere.
A. S.
Great food great service lovely atmosphere
R. P.
I love the Knox. Have been going here for years. The breakfast/lunch menu here is great, the new pastries are delicious, and it's an inviting atmosphere for families.
Please do something about the coffee. I honestly avoid takeaway coffee here, even though it's my local, as the milk is usually not frothed properly and the coffee more often than not is burned. Purchased one this morning and it is pretty disappointing for the price. Please get a qualified barista or do greater justice to takeaways.
N. C.
The food and coffee is always good here. The staff are super helpful even when the place is jam packed and after my 18month old kicked my drink over they offered a replacement. It's always busy when I go in but there's plenty of seating outside too. The fresh baked bread is also great.
G. H.
Made a quick stop in for lunch on our way home, we were made to feel like locals and had some of the best food and coffee Canberra would have to offer.
F. L.
The food is excellent and parking was not a problem. The place was absolutely packed for Saturday brunch and with no table service, the queue to order food was formidable. Getting a table was problematic (for the two of us) but luckily a lovely couple offered to share theirs with us. Unfortunately when they left, we were asked to share with a group of four, who were determined to whinge about, well, pretty much everything. With the expansion I think The Knox really needs to look at introducing table service and bookings.
I. H.
They make a decent espresso and the staff is very friendly. The fresh squeezed juice was quite good as well. Nice heated outdoor area. Efficient and friendly staff.
J. H.
Love the food, seating was a bit cramped but very kid friendly.
I. M.
A hidden but not so secret destination coffee and food venue. Very busy on a Wednesday and difficult to find a table for four inside (why do we sit alone at tables meant for groups?). A good range of choices with many vegan and gluten free options. Definitely a destination coffee and catch up venue.
D. L.
Love the great food and tasty. But menu can be improved a bit. I have been there quite a few times and I feel I have run out if options to choose from the menu. The "specials" menu is a bit boring and should have better items.
Other than that staff are lovely and food tastes great. Coffees and bakery items are wonderful too.
A. T.
My all-time favourite cafe in Canberra. The staff are warm and welcoming and the coffee is amazing. Not to mention it's only a short distance from my house, which is a big bonus. The orange and almond cake is phenomenal and I think I get it almost every time I go. 10/10
J.
Decent sized serve of well presented and tasty food. Head chef doing a great job! Nice staff and friendly place to eat.
P. B.
Great atmosphere, quick & friendly service & yummy food. Also delicious looking cakes. Great find in Canberra.
C. G.
Options for gluten free and lactose free - fantastic! Brunch is really tasty with a really good variety of options (gotta love rosti) and drinks-wise they also offer a nice variety (smoothies, trapped, coffees, lattes). Strongly recommend you book if more than 2 people. Comfortable seating outside with a pram. Good atmosphere and good amenities.
J. P.
Great all-day breakfast and lunch spot at the local shops with sunny alfresco tables and ample indoor room on colder days. Well-priced menu with a good range of dishes to suit. Am yet to try one of their many cakes, pastries or muffins which are all made on premises but they always look amazing. Excellent coffee and a selection of healthier yet delicious smoothies. Kid and dog friendly; can be busy on weekends but worth the wait.
M. M.
Coffee was good. They have changed their cake supplier and/or range and unfortunately not so good. I chose the lemon and blueberry cake and it was disappointing - the cake was dense and I could not taste the lemon 😔
p. c.
Cool cafe, terrific coffee and meals - and very good staff. Woulda been 5 stars but it's just so darned busy! A victim of its own success I'd suggest. Strongly recommended, especially during quiet periods.
R. H.
Nice vibe. Busy so obviously popular. Good grassy outdoor space next to cafe perfect for picnic takeaway if would prefer that to sitting at a table.
D. P.
This was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time! The Rosti was amazing, the coffee was great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, as there were heaps of things we'd like to try next time.
J. W.
Incredible bread, great options for lunch and solid coffee! Plus some of the friendliest faces around! Great atmosphere any time you step into the Knox.
S. C.
Very busy for a reason. Great food and coffee. There is a cafe and bakery section, so it has all your weekend brekky needs taken care of. They also do dinner and make some tasty cocktails.
T. Y.
Went for lunch here off the back of the TripAdvisor recommendation. The food was excellent, although our fussy children didn't have anything on the kids menu they were happy to try. The chips have turmeric on them, which is delicious (and thankfully wasn't a problem for the little ones). The dessert cabinet is amazing, and they were happy for us to order some to pick up later in the week.
D. G.
Great meals, great service, friendly staff. Good to bring a family to, or to bring your partner on a date. Caters well for vegans, gluten free, and they are extending the indoor tables area. There's a pleasant outdoor undercover table area too. Prices are not the cheapest, but still good value.
T. T.
Our local. Always bustling. Great coffee and excellent food/baked goods. One you should definitely check out. Be sure to book for groups of 4+ as it is often packed weekend mornings/lunch.
Z. G.
This is a fresh and vibrant little restaurant which provided a really lovely eating experience. There is an all day breakfast menu which is always a winner with me and I had some exquisite fritters on a bed of avocado which were really delicious. My friend had an equally lovely dish from the regular menu and then lashed out on a fabulous little lemon meringue tart which looked just lovely. The surroundings were lovely - we were outside, but in the shade and it was quiet (no loud music drowning out our conversation). The staff were friendly and helpful and we came away feeling happy and will definitely be back to try more of the treats on offer.
M. L.
Great place lots of outdoor seating inside too. First time Ive been there but great spot, and great food and Coffee
M.
The online ordering is a bit slow, but the results are definitely worth the wait.
S. T.
Knox is too cramped, dark and noisy to fully enjoy. Food is very expensive for such small serving sizes. It’s as if they think they can charge more because they are in supposedly trendy Watson. The coffee is awful, as others have pointed out. Yet you pay 50c more for it than other cafes. I’m giving it three stars because of the bakery which is the best thing they did.
L. H.
Lots of interesting choices on the menu. Decided on Mexican beans with chorizo and poached eggs. Coffee good but could have been warmer. Really busy at breakfast and they don't take bookings. We were lucky to get a table indoors. Wouldn't have like to be sitting outside on a cold Canberra morning. Even though it is enclosed it is still cold.
I don't like the fact that you have to order at the counter. I prefer table service. I wanted a second cup of coffee but I couldn't be bothered to queue up and order plus I felt rude interripting my friend to get up and order.
Parking also seems limited and there are 1 and 2 hour limits during the week.
Worth giving it a go. Loved the food.
S. W.
Wowsers! Just recently moved into the area, and I've just gotta say how impressed I am with the coffee and the lovely girl behind the machine. Heavens to bettsy! she's got it going on! go go go! I come here frequently now after tasting that sweet sweet bean juice. Highly recommend and tip of of the cap to you, me lady.
L. G. (.
Excellent breakfast, and wider range of cakes for later. Love the friendly service. Not too cold to sit outside, complimentary rugs are a good touch on a Canberra winter morning. Comfortable in the sun!
M. “. J. S.
Great place to chill and catch up with an old friend.
Inviting and interesting (yet not distracting) atmosphere and perfectly suited to being a small slice of Melbourne in a homely Canberran suburb.
Food is always tasty and well presented, coffee is always an absolute joy to sip, perfect for talking with a friend over.
Careful note: don't change your order too much, as the kitchen sometimes doesn't catch up in the stress of the moment.
D. W.
Food was on point, wishing I could fit more of the dishes in! The menu looks amazing and your coffee was delicious! Thanks for the feed.
C. L.
The Knox has doubled in size since I last went, plenty of seating and attentive staff.
Had the breakfast rosti with bacon and eggs, absolutely delicious. Appreciated the free sparkling water on tap! May have also stayed for a cake...
C. G.
Great cafe at the Watson shops. Good bakery selection, the coffee was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended
T. D.
Great atmosphere in the cafe, the danishes are amazing and coffee is good too. Scrambled eggs were really well cooked but a bit small on serving size.
C. W.
Delicious food and lovely staff. Get in early for a table, bookings are only for 6+ more. The wait is never long though and their service is very quick.
A. B.
Very busy but that's a sign of how good it is!
r. m.
The pastries are sensational and l know as l lived in France for a number of years. I left off one star because the particular waitress l got today was rude. Other people there have been very courteous. I can't abide rudeness in a cafe where you go for a warm cosy experience on a cold Canberra morning after a hectic two hours spent getting two tiny tackers really for school and daycare. No cant abide it. So one star down but the pastries! What can l say? Oh La La! So good!
T. T.
Double egg and bacon roll is amazing!! Soft milk bun, tangy relish, eggs cooked beautifully and the melted cheese just adds to the already perfect flavours 😍 can't wait to come back and try something else!
J. R.
A superb cafe serving interesting food in a suburban shopping centre. Can get a bit congested with the till right next to the front door but everyone seems to make it work ok.
I brought some interstate guests who were impressed because they had only had their boring hotel food and thought Canberra had no cafe scene. Well done Knox!
A. M.
What a great place for coffee or a quick lunch. The coffee is always good and the meals are yummy. Haven't had a bad experience here. Would recommend if you're looking for a local coffee shop to support.
N. L.
Great food and dog very friendly

Near perfect. Stunning coffee. Frappe combinations that are unique and delicious. Cozy and comfortable spaces. Friendly staff. Canberra's best eggs Benedict. A wagyu burger as good if not better than any I've had anywhere. The suburb of Watson is one lucky place. Local gem. 💎
A. M.
I recently had a private function for my birthday at The Knox. Dan was fantastic to work with to make the event enjoyable and painless. I wanted to keep it really easy and let the chef/staff do whatever felt best. They all made the night with excellent service and the share plates were so yummy that we were so full by the time dessert came round. I can highly recommend The Knox for that special occasion as well as popping in for brunch, lunch or coffee/cake...all home made. Thanks, Anne
J. M.
Absolutely superb coffee, mucho tasty food. The girls behind the coffee machine always super friendly and splendid auras. All in all a splendid spread. Would recommend.
N. M.
What's not to love here. Very yummy food, lovely atmosphere and interior is beautiful and always nice to have breakfast in.
Staff are very accommodating, took my dog and they made up a table for us outaide. Super Heroes!
R. Z. S.
Had a business meeting at The Knox and their coffee was some of the best in Canberra. Great place to visit, well established and staff provided a great service. Highly recommend and will be coming back for some more coffee!
L. E.
Nice food. Friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere
C. R.
Amazing food and the coffees were perfect. Busy, which is great for a place during Covid times and they are doing an awesome job with social distancing.
M. K.
A good offering for the suburb of Watson. The menu has an all day breakfast option, specials and kids menu. Nothing particularly fancy about them. Main menu's has a variety of warm salads, two burgers and pulled pork/beef. Good enough for breakfast or lunch.
K. H.
Fantastic cafe for a quick lunch or a catch-up with an old friend. They have a wide selection of food, and the decor is absolutely gorgeous. I always love a trip to the Knox.
M. C.
Very nice, great staff, they accommodated us by moving tables. Good service 👍👍
R. Z.
Very overpriced with an overly uninteresting all day menu. Food was okay. Nice environment is probably the biggest thing this place had going for it.
M.
Amazing food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere
T. H.
Good coffee, excellent food.
D. T.
Good chicken burger, good service and great live music on Wednesday night
M. M.
Nice staff, yummy pastries, not enough vegetarian options
K. O.
The sweet potato waffle was very yummy, but a small meal for the price. Lovely bustling atmosphere with lots of seating both indoor and out.
T. S.
Recommend the hollandaise with salmon for brekkie
E. M.
Great Coffee and super modern feel, very clean and lots of chic people. Food looked great but i didn't have time to try. Staff super nice.
A. G.
Excellent food, great staff, very popular so book ahead or u may have to wait.
E. R.
Love the food... And the milkshakes. Really great option for vegetarians, vegans and others with dietary requirements. Lovely staff and family friendly. Also dog friendly out front. Good vibe!
j. d.
Great neighbourhood cafe that has gotten too popular for its own good. Go out of peak times to enjoy their delicious meals and coffees.
M. W.
Friendly staff, excellent quality in the food served. The Knox has a great vibe and is pet friendly with outside tables. The coffee is pretty darn good too.
L. C.
Great food. I always enjoy coming here. Though I am taking off one star because of the water containers. They on the spigots are small and impractical for pouring more than one glass as its so slow. Also, they are almost always out of water. When you need to serve your self water, this seems a little hmmmf.
S. B. (.
A great place to begin and end a Hash run! Tasty food and amazing bakery items.
M. A.
Nice food, nice atmosphere, friendly and quick service. My only complaint was that the chicken panini needed more flavour.
They also have a whole cabinet of delicious looking sweet treats!
J. L.
One of the best cafes in Canberra, great friendly staff, delicious meals and lots of options. Always enjoy coming here!
M. S.
The Knox has a special bake section where croissants, snails, melting moments and pizzas are made daily. I notice they have the green keep cups initiative started by ACT Gov late 2019. If I wasn't so interested in weight management, I'd be eating many more melting moments.
M. C.
Was really busy but the food was worth the wait and I bought table toys for my 4 year old nephew to keep him entertained😊 no table service had to order at counter hard to get in and out of bench seat as we were a group of 8 stuck in the front window. Can only book if you have 6 or more only, there were alot of people waiting outside😊😋
A. M.
Hands down best burger I’ve had in a long time! We’re from Sydney and can’t find a burger as good as these. I’ll be back for more highly recommend.
J. 9.
The local hub every CBR ‘burb needs. Good coffee. Tasty brunches. Make sure you grab some croissants from the in-house bakery on your way out.
S. L.
I had a good chai latte here. Our server Solene was very friendly and quick to bring our coffees to us
G. H.
I have eaten French toast at probably 6 different places in Canberra, and The Knox has the best I've had yet! French toast served with gentle Panna Cotta, crumbled almonds and some sweet slightly caramelized liquid that I don't know the word for is the perfect satisfying yet not overwhelmingly sweet breakfast. (To a 16 year old boy)
R. G.
Stunning presentation of food. Tastes great too
A. T.
Decent breakfasts, dog friendly. Cozy atmosphere and now they've got a bakery so pretty decent place to go for a Sunday morning breakfast
A. D.
Great atmosphere, friendly service. Can be a bit busy on weekends. Food is quite good, but I don't think understand what's they don't just have a big breakfast...
K. W.
Awesome place for a coffee and the food is lovely. Great service with a smile...
B.
favourite cafe Northside! great coffee, excellent food & good service! highly recommended for any Dickson/Watson locals! quite the local secret
J. H.
Had some pretty average service here previously but last time was much better and the coffee was good too!
Z. B.
The most lovely staff! I made an absolute messand they were so kind and even made me a new coffee after idropped mine!
n. j.
Came here for breakfast, really great atmosphere. Nice local feel. Food was cooked well and really tasty. Busy place for a good reason
N. V.
Always delicious food and fantastic service!
R. W.
My fav place to have breakfast in CBR! Staff are lovely, coffee is amazing and food is delicious!! Thank you for creating such a nice community vibe.
C. M.
Vibrant eatery, making their own bread, pastries, serving delicious 'Adore' brand tea and fresh coffee, practising social distancing etiquette.
L. L.
Delicious coffee and lovely, friendly service. I had a chicken wrap which was awesome. I found it to be great value. Will be back again.
K. W.
Disappointing, particularly for takeaway. Crazy long wait times when busy and things are brought out very sporadically sometimes more that 30 minutes apart so takeaway pies were cold by the time we go them home (2 minutes walk away)
R. M.
Fresh bread made in the premises. Food is affordable. Place has a rustic and country atmosphere. Good place to hang out and relax.
M. S.
Best Benedicts and great coffee
G. T. G.
A lovely place to sit and order delicious food and good coffee. Dog friendly.
J. F.
Basically a good local spot but hot food service could be improved..nothing less appetizing than cold bacon and eggs
P. S.
Takes a while for the coffee to be served, but the pastries is really good, the indoor ambience is nice .. I love it
G. J.
Outside eating area very pleasant and well shaded
Barista efficient and welcoming
Made us feel welcome.
L. G.
Delicious food, attentive staff and good, strong coffee. Good options for food allergies and intolerances. Very happy with the experience!
L. M. A.
Great coffee and about the best bread in the bakery section in tha ACT. This place is a hidden gem!
A. L.
Super yummy and great serving sizes. We went there for breakfast and everything was so delicious. I would recomend this place to anyone.
C. B.
Fantastic food and great service.
Music is a bit loud on the live music nights though.
G. W.
Great little cafe. Convenient location. Relatively easy parking (free!). Has a good range, incl veg & gluten free.
P. G.
Very nice atmosphere with many busy staff, attentive as needed, and serving tasty meals from a nice-sized and varied menu. Prices quite reasonable.
C. B.
best blueberry muffin, although i think they've changed the recipe as there are way less blueberries now :(
Coffee excellent, food okay
M. W.
Great menu. The Salmon bowl was fantastic. The juice was also great
S. D.
Loved the coffee and food. Best experience ever great staff and people are friendly, I am telling friends and family about this place because it's one of the best cafes I have been to!!
G. J.
Truely fantastic. Great for families, amazing service and food quality. Must try the traditional iced coffee, 11 out of 10.
C. a. S.
Good meals and coffee however, the cakes and biscuits are sometimes old and stale. The cakes obviously sit around for a few days before a fresh delivery occurs!
C. B.
We popped in for breakfast and it was delish! Eggs benedict with trout was worth it.
A. J.
Staff were friendly, food was good, I like the simplicity of ordering black or white coffee only. Would definitely come back when time permits
P. S.
Great eats and drinks! Great vibe! Very busy on the weekends! Kids menu, fantastic handmade pastries and lots of scrumptious food options!
K. S.
Beautiful cafe and the tattooed chef out the back makes for a good perve while chowing down on some amazing quality meals 👌🏻
S. A.
Amazing food, friendly staff and quick service even on a busy Sunday! Great heating outside too for those cold Canberra mornings;)
J. R.
The customer service was absolutely above and beyond! Fantastic experience. Also, how goods live music in the spring!
R.
Brilliant coffee, excellent service and yummy food. Highly recommend this stalwart of the Canberra
C. W.
A new feature of Watson
Good coffee, plenty of staff, terrific bakery
L. H.
Busy place at the Watson shops. Very good fresh food, big serves. Only problem: the outside tables are infested with patrons' dogs.
N. S.
A great place for breakfast and lunch with a solid menu and fantastic specials, coffee is great as well. The recent inclusion of weekend dinner makes it a great all rounder
T. C.
Excellent food and amazing coffee! Really love the laminated menus too!
M. M. (.
Really lovely atmosphere along with great coffee and the best Portuguese tarts I've ever had 🤤
R. Y.
Nice coffee. Good place to relax and chat, catch up with a friend. As my first visit, it made a great impression.
A. S.
Good food menu and ordering is done through QR code app
L. G.
A trendy place in Canberra, who would've thought. Nice atmosphere, rare in the nation's capital.
N. B.
Good food. Not very classy, I'm afraid. Some new, cleaner menu cards would have resulted in a higher rating.
G. C.
It gets a bit busy on weekends which can make it hard to hear the conversations, but the food is good, the coffee is GREAT and the atmosphere under quieter conditions is perfect for a casual catch up.
A. T.
Good coffee, unique and delicious brunch option, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff.
P. M.
I only went once for dinner. It was nice, and food ok. Just a bit overpriced in my opinion (i should say I just got back from two months overseas, so actually a lot of places seem overpriced to me right now!)
D. S.
Consistently great food, best breakfasts I’ve ever tasted, always eat here every time in Canberra
R. B.
Like all cafes, might have good and bad days, it's popular for a reason though, generally very good.
J. P.
Very popular even more yummy
D. D.
Burgers are ok, definitely not a 20 dollar deal, if you're desperate for a feed and the takeaway isn't your choice then maybe consider this place
M. C.
This is my go to cafe when in Canberra (staying in watson). Their food is delicious and the staff are great and certainly know how to make a great coffee.
R. F.
Great place for having a morning coffee in the sun. Grass for the kids to play on. Crazy good milk shakes. Friendly staff. Busy after school drop off.

C. D.
My local coffee and food spot. The staff are great, it's always very busy we never have to wait too long.
K. S.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food! I would rate it five stars but part of me is too protective and wants to keep it all to my self.
D. H.
Good happy hour prices and an excellent pizza. Heating isn't great but no big deal - bring a warm jumper!
B. R.
Fresh tasty meals and reasonable size portions. Quality wines available. Well worth the trip.
K. H.
Delicious fresh food with a variety of vegan, gluten, dairy free dishes. I would definitely go back and highly reccomend The Knox!
C. P.
Absolutely fantastic! Called with 45 mins notice and they accomodated all 14 of us after my father in laws funeral. Food was excellent! Thank you!
L. P.
Great food and chill ambience but was sooo chilly there this afternoon and staff would not turn on any of the numerous heaters in the outdoor seating area.
A. O.
Always great, love the ‘local cafe’ feel and the great coffee.
G. T.

C. V. R.
Really good coffee, lovely staff and delicious breakfast menu with local twists.
L.
Great! My first choice of somewhere to go. Except they're somehow incapable of having clean water glasses; they've been like this for years now, always with the specks of junk attached to the insides.
N.
Nice atmosphere, even if it is like a hipster’s dream.
Everything is quite reasonable, service and price. So it is nice but nothing really special.
D. L.
Excellent food and coffee
C. E.
