Such a busy little Cafe with a great vibe. Tucked away in the suburbs so no noisy cars of the city. I counted about 8 staff members so that gives you an idea how busy and popular the place is, and they were the ones I could see. Staff were happy and friendly and took our order as we stood in line which made getting our coffee much quicker 👍👍. Do yourself a favour and grab a great coffee.

There was a good range of dietary variations on the menu from the humble bacon and eggs to Tempe burgers and very good coffee. I was impressed by the speedy service. Being new years day and arriving during lunch hour I was prepared for a wait but my coffee arrived within 5 minutes and my Tempe burger probably 10 minutes after. There was plenty of staff and friendly as well. Very impressed.

Visited for the first time on a whim, and enjoyed a delicious Eggs Benedict with a coffee. Staff were cheerful and efficient, food was good and quick to come out, it has relaxing and friendly atmosphere. I sat in the air conditioning indoors, but the outside seats looked very nice too for a cooler day. Prices a touch on the higher side but not over much, worth it for quality. Will definitely be back.

Best local cafe in Rapid Creek. Fantastic and friendly service. Delicious selection of food, excellent cold brew coffee and great juice of the day. Also a good spot to do some work in a clean and quiet space. Came back a number of times and received the same high quality of service and food each time.

A hidden gem found! One of my friend suggested me this place and it is truly worth it... Being a vegetarian very rare places serve good breakfast and lunch. Must try the mushroom and halloumi roll... The super salad was great too.

Number4 bus corner #Ryland & #Rossiter then short walk. Noisy (bad acoustic). Large coffee creamy and smooth (4.5$). Hollandaise with salmon and spinach was tasty ($18.5) but not memorable. Friendly staff, efficient service, clean presentation. Popular with locals. Relaxing outside setting. Good for Sunday date short walk to nightcliff shores, but no views.

Amazing coffee. It can be hard to regularly get good coffee at some places but always had a good coffee here. Ate a meal there today for the first time. Highly recommend. Great service too

Love this place! Been here many times and I've never changed my order...I come for this beautiful chicken burger that just drips sauce that I come back for over and over. My grandmother says this place she had the best steak burger of her life but i cant give up not having this chicken burger when i come. Looks simple but its divine. Also look forward to the drinks they make for the day.

Had my birthday brunch there with family and it was excellent as always. Despite being super busy the staff had things well under control, never appeared rushed and were still able to take the time to ensure that everyone had a good time. Highly recommend!!

Cafe Central makes the best breakfasts at affordable prices. Bought a B.E.L.T sandwich and savoured every moment. Cafe layout is very stylish and clean with friendly staff everywhere. (Coffee is really good as well if you're into that).

Have been to the Cafe Central a few times, it’s a cute little corner secret in Rapid Creek! Tucked into a tropical corner of suburbia, it is a gorgeous little spot to hide from the Sun and have some brunch with some locals. Delightful staff, great food with a decent variety of drinks and fodder. Could be a bit quicker in service though!

Cafe Central isn't my local cafe, but I wish it was. My wife and I just had a takeaway Bacon Lettuce Avocado and Tomato (BLAT) roll and I'm definitely going back this week for another! And the coffee was A+ too. AMAZING!

Cafe Central is located in a small group of shops in suburban Darwin. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Indoors the aircon is very effective at managing Darwin’s climate. The staff are welcoming, friendly and super efficient. The food is lovely. I had breakfast here and was very impressed with my order. Now the coffee. A cafe without good coffee isn’t a cafe to me. I wasn’t disappointed with Cafe Central whose barista understands the simple art of making a good cup of coffee with a temperature not seen since a trip to regional Italy. Not too hot. Lovely flavour and very good crema. Well done! If you are looking for a good coffee, place to eat or to grab a quick bite then this is your place. Congratulations to owners and staff for creating a very special place.

Great Cafe I like the freshly made juices, & the coffee. The coffee is smooth without the nasty bitter after taste. Just good smooth coffee. They have a loyalty coffee program if you like a free coffee from time to time. The menu is good they offer a variety of hardy breakfast options. It's a breakfast & brunch kind of place. I like the veggie fritters & I like how you can start with eggs on toast then add what you like. I order my poached eggs with beans & feta they have a number of choices depends what you like. Service is good the only thing it gets so busy it's difficult to get a indoor table. The indoor area has all hard furniture no soft furnishings to absorb the noise it does get pretty noisey. Out side seating doesn't have the noise problem and you can have your dog outside with you. Treat yourself to a good coffee & really tasty muffin they are good!

Great little cafe! Meals are a bit overpriced, so I only get my coffee from here now. Friendly and helpful staff, sweet and quiet little location and great coffee. Reusable / Keep Cup friendly! I've always seen people take their dogs here and water for them is provided.

Recommend to us by one of our friendly long term locals in the know. Definitely a great find. Food is fantastic with generous portions and cooked to perfection. Great service and great coffee. Two things Darwin needs more of. We will certainly be back for another visit.

Food was delicious, the iced coffee was nice, but would have liked a bigger glass for the price. Wait time was pretty good, table service was a bit of a shock for a cafe, took me by surprise. I'd only recommend that water needs to come out chilled, or ice provided with the glasses. We will be back ;-)

Always feels like this place is insanely busy!! Finally managed to get in, and wow was it worth it. Truly a great experience. Amazing food and customer service! Food was warm and came out quickly. Yes, it has a central location ;easy to walk ,ride or drive. Pathways to Rapid Creek and the whole coast in both directions. It opens early.I ordered a steak sandwich and it was well presented and tender.Homemade touches in chutney and sauces.We meet for breakfast,great menu.Staff are nice and approachable.Dog friendly .People friendly.

This little gem is my favourite cafe in the northern suburbs. The staff are fantastic and always remember me and our kids. The food is really fresh and delicious, very affordable prices too. The coffee is really good and their barista recently won the local barista smack down! Boxes of toys for kids to play with inside, areas outside to dine with your dogs and great music is always playing. What's not to love?!

They say all the great things in life you have to go on a journey to find. Cafe Central is exactly that, a hidden pocket of joy to which is now a regular for myself and many locals in Rapid Creek. Their coffee and menu encompass similar qualities of cafés found down south (Adelaide and Melbourne) only they've put their own creative spin on each item. The staff and managements enthusiasm and passion for quality food and efficient customer service is evident from the moment you step inside, the crew are well trained, laid back and extremely attentive. The manager/ owner is an absolute dude, definitely a guy you need to have a long endearing chat too. I recommend going for a casual juice or coffee and enjoy wilfully daydreaming on the alfresco dining area or inside whichever you choose (to which they hang and sell artwork from local artists for you to gaze at) and if you are peckish the Avo Smash is packed full of flavour which always makes my mouth water. The prices are pretty standard for the quality presented and certainly a delight to put in your budget on a weekly basis. You'll average $18-$25 pp, that includes a meal and drink. I generally like to keep this establishment a secret for myself to enjoy, however, it is often selfish not to share such a delight with friends and visitors to the NT. Keep up the good work!
