Lovely for breakfast or brunch. Very hipster place and you can tell it clearly caters for vegan and vegetarian customers alot. Lovely food, very creative design on lovely bread, but had to pay $5 extra for a bit of bacon which was sort of dumped on the side as an afterthought. Lovely atmosphere and great service in this busy little restaurant/cafe. Parking is quite difficult to get here, but worth coming in to check out. It really has a down-south Melbourne-esque vibe.

Classic fixture in this part of Darwin, where live music and jazz gets periodically played and has a little stage installed in the venue. The day time menu is a bit restricted and drinking on the bar is allowed quite a bit later - not the place for a boozy breakfast. The evening menu is a bit stronger with several options and specials on the go. The pizza is tasty and of good make, thin crust. Drinks are decent..a bit more pricey than the average venue but it definitely has a very territorial feel to it.

Coffee and food has always been great, it’s just a shame the service here is extremely lacking. The employees never seem interested and couldn’t care less about their customers. A true shame as it has potential to be a really cool spot. After around 10 visits in the last 12 months today I finally decided I won’t be back. If the coffee and food wasn’t good I never would’ve returned after the first time. If you’re happy to forego service for a good cuppa and bite to eat you won’t go wrong though.

The food was great, could give 5 star for food. (Especially Baghdad eggs) A star lost is due to the table on the stage. It had many open wires and wobbly table. The view, the food and everything else was a great experience. For a successful cafe its really essential to give all table a comfy and cozy atmosphere. I understand all the cozy tables were taken so we were given the table up on stage. Must go for a beautiful weekend brunch.

Went in the evening for their wood fired pizza night and it was sooo good! Loved the marinated eggplant pizza with preserved lemon - never tried anything like that before. Gives nightcliff pizza man a run for his money! Of course their usual cafe food and coffee is always amazing.

One of the best cafe meals I’ve had in a long time. Had the delicious Baghdad eggs. Pretty sure the flatbread was freshly made which was much appreciated. On top of this lovely ambience to sit in during the hot Darwin day.

Coolest late-night bar and pizzeria ever ! We held a double 21st birthday party at the Lucky Bat a few weeks ago - and we could not have chosen a better place ! The staff were simply awesome - friendly, flexible and utterly professional. Everything from the home-made sangria's, vermouth, excellent wines, delicious wood-fired pizza's and yummy share plates, to the cool late-night ambience was terrific ! And best of all, it is a local cafe, which really cares about its local community. We cannot rate this restaurant and their terrific staff, high enough !!

This place has all the great qualities of a great Cafe. Lovely staff, great food and coffee and they refund you $1 when you use your own cup. That deserves $1 to their tip jar. The free WiFi is excellent recep too. Great place to get work done. It's busy yet not too noisy.

The pizza did not disappoint and the tap beer selection was fantastic. Very rarely do you get a delicious mid-strength craft beer on tap. Three out of four pizzas were delicious. The vegan was a bit boring but perhaps to be expected. Great vibes, will return.

Great pizza. Hipster atmosphere. Best salad is the pear and Gorgonzola. The gourmet don was also good. The leek one can be both great and not so good depending on the balance of sweet/savoury. 50% hit rate on that one. Capricosa was brilliant. A friend says the 5 cheese was not as good as the leek. Cabbage salad was a bit so-so. Was 99% cabbage. Didn’t taste of much else. Nutella pizza was shared among the group. Very happy with the liberal application of Nutella 👍👍. Will be back again

Went for 'the lucky bat laughs' comedy night and had a show with dinner. Great range of sweet and savoury pizza. The caramelised leek pizza in particular was a suprisingly sweet desert. the comedy nights are well worth the $10 (cash only) entry and are advertised on their Facebook page.

Pizza and salad was amazing though the flies by the window was gross and they kept trying to fly on our food. We moved and problem solved if you dont sit by the windows. I know its Darwin but It might help to have some fly captures as this is not a first time thing, it's happened the last few times we visited too. If you can over look it the food really is great

This place has good ambience with nice outdoor seats and luckily I also enjoyed the live band. The pizzas were authentic and it was super tasty. Yet, I only give 3 stars as it was steaming hot with limited airconditioning (likely due to the crowd) which made my stay less pleasant, I felt pizzas were overpriced for its size and amount of topping, our dishes came out one by one 2 hours apart so make sure you have enough time and patience. It looks like there are fairly consistent reviews similar to mine. If these things were addressed then I think this place will be loved my many!!

Always a great feed in Lucky Bat night or day! Great cocktails and drinks, pizzas at night, great brunch and iced chais in the mornings. Love the baked goods especially house-baked bread and pastries on display. Also a big thank you for having a branch in the Royal Darwin Hospital for staff coffees at the worst of the pandemic and ongoing. Amazing

The pizza capricciona was good, however the entree olive tapanis was absolute rubbish, disgusting. Too sour and heavy, and it came out with the main. Lucky Bat oversubscribes their capacity to deliver timely table service against their takeaway and uber commitments. Look after your dine in clients.

One of the best coffees in Darwin at the moment! Staff are awesome and very friendly and the Nutella pizza is so so good! My only less than positive thing would be that it can be quite slow for coffee, but not enough to deter you from going. Would highly recommend for anyone Looking for something yummy!

Great coffee. Food was good too. But service was cold and unwelcoming. Seemed they were annoyed we wanted lunch at 1.30. Maybe it was a bad day for them because Friends love the place. Willing to try again when next in town.

What can I say about the lucky bat cafe.. it's a different take on the usual cafe experience. They really pride themselves on the food and beverages provided. We dined in for a lunch break and the menu was odd, lots of dishes with a twist. Roasted seeds seem to be a common theme here. The homemade soft drinks where ok, but not really worth the asking price, a can of regular soda would have been better. Overall, if you want to try something different and quirky then this is the place for you, if you have stale tastebuds and can't handle anything odd then avoid.

One of favourite cafes. You can find us here most weekends mornings, especially if they have Baghdad Eggs one the Specials Menu. They also put on some cool evening events like taco night... Im from Texas and miss tacos, it was the first handmade tortilla I’ve eaten here other than the ones I make at home. Keep it up lucky bat, please put Baghdad Eggs on every weekend please.

Great little cafe come bar. We had some share plates here for dinner and a few drinks. Last Sunday of the month they have live local music which was great. Well worth a visit.

Nice place... Came around with a friend at 10.50am, grabbed the menu from the front counter, and took a seat. Went to the counter to place my order, only to be told the kitchen closed at 11am and all the menu items werent available after that time. It was 11.02. Pretty poor effort to only offer display food in a busy cafe, past 11am. Plus weekend surcharge of 10% and eftpos surcharge of 1.5%... But I believe this is standard practice in a lot of places. Maybe worth mentioning the menu items aren't available after 11am next time. Thank you.

I enjoy lucky bat for breakfast and pizza nights. The best thing they make is Baghdad Eggs, it’s so good but unfortunately it’s not on the menu full time and it should be. They held a taco night a couple weeks ago. Not good, i give them credit for at least being the only place in darwin to attempt their own tortillas. Unfortunately they were dried out and not good. Next time they should do flour tortillas. I’m from Texas this is simple - flour, lard and water.

It reminds me of the Perth coffee/restaurant scene in some ways, where at some places the emphasis is on the food, coffee and service, not the decor. Only one negative, it sometimes attracts customers, ( millennials?) Who are so loud it is a struggle to block out their conversation. I'm tempted to ask, am i in this conversation?
