Great gaming coffee shop, very interesting venue, appealing for kids. Food looks delicious, flat white is acceptable. Staff are friendly and chatty. Off Bennett street, walking distance to CBD.

Brilliant coffee, great food, but it's the customer service and the community of this cafe that makes it so good. With so much 80s nostalgia and organised support for games and community activity. If you want great food, amazing coffee, and a welcoming community, make sure you find this hidden gem.

Such a fun and vibrant cafe, go in and feast your eyes on the constantly evolving nostalgic merch that decorates every inch. Definitely go in and have a yarn to any of the staff over a coffee or banana smoothie(with cinnamon) and a brekkie burrito.

A cute meet with a friend sort of place, all sort of games from simple board games to popular pop culture theme, and game display, I would say all age and everyone will be welcome in mad snakes. Movie nights, food, a easy meeting place to hang with friends.

Last night I went to games night and boy was I nervous! I went on my own to make new friends. After making the journey there, and getting lost, I finally found the cafe and almost didn’t go in. I get nervous when meeting new people. I fear people won’t like me and I worry that they’ll think I’m stupid. I fear rejection... don’t we all? So as I walked past the entry, I said to myself; “Just go in and say to the staff that I’m here to play games and they’ll look after me.” And they did. I just focussed on that one first move; entering the shop, and talking to one person. The rest was easy! After I introduced myself, the guy behind the counter said “Great! We need a fourth person to play ‘Hardhitters’” and then he introduced me to a small group of people and we sat down to play. I enjoyed myself and made some new friends. The cafe also took me back in time to my childhood. It was quite a nostalgic evening! It only took me 2+ hours to get my head around the game and I’ll definitely go back for more play. This is my favourite way to meet like-minded people: sharing an activity / experience with others.

The best cafe in darwin, retro decoration, boardgames and old video games. Mad Snake 2 has something for everyone. They run board game nights every week and lots of events, it’s a great place to meet new people. The owner is also a top bloke and he does a lot to support the local community and veterans.

Hands down the best coffee I have had in Darwin. The staff who work there are friendly, remember our order after two visits, and are always a pleasure to chat to. I love their selection of board games and the effort the owner puts into hosting games nights

We visited this cafe the first morning of our holiday and have been going back every morning since, from what we have seen they offer a Vegan bagel or wrap and a salad. They are all delicious and unexpected. THE CHEESE MELTS 😂 The cafe itself is chill and worth visiting. We had coffee/ hot chocolates and both were the best we've had since staying in Darwin.
