The food was good, but would be better if there were more staff in the front. Had to wait quite long just for someone to get second serve of rice and even to get more water. This was when it wasn't even too busy.

I had a very niece experience here. I'm on vacation looking around for a place to have coffee and breakfast. After walking down mitchel st. And passing many places I come to the end and what do I find. This place. It was just switching over to lunch. I ask for coffee, and look at a menu. It's the lunch menu and I really wasn't ready for lunch. I say I'll just have the coffee for now. Then the charming waitress tells me they are going into lunch, but if I wanted to order something from breakfast I could. So I did. Well the bacon and eggs and toasties were perfect. The place was so nice and relaxing. The atmosphere was perfect. It was great. I loved it. I'm full now, but I saw Laksa on the menu. I haven't had a good one since I left Hawaii a month ago. I will have to come back for it. You will have to try it too. You might love it too. Good tunes in the background.

I celebrated my 70th Birthday in style at the Rendezvous Cafe in Darwin on Saturday 25th May 2019. The staff had allowed my friends to store a Red Carpet in the building and this was rolled out prior to my arrival. The staff were amazing, acceding to all our wishes and coping with a group of 18 noisy but friendly people. The entrees were served swiftly and there was an interruption for speeches and the like. When we had finished that, our main courses were on the tables almost immediately. All the food was beautifully prepared and served very well. It was really delicious! Their menu will cater for any taste. We partied well into the night. I have to hand it to Rendezvous Cafe for meeting an exceedingly high standard. You must try it.

Fantastic food, nice decor, very reasonable prices. Staff were obliging and eager to please. Not licensed for alcohol, but only a $2 charge for a BYO bottle of wine. Great value! Thank you.

When I visited it was bright, clean and quiet, and the hostess was very polite. I ordered a Chicken Tom Yum soup and loves every bit of it. Not spicy, it arrives quickly and was fresh and large, and tasted fantastic. They even brought out a jug of cold water without prompting which was nice. Definitely going back. 😁

Went here with a small group of people, service was good, but food came out at drastically different times. But was pretty tasty. The beef rendang was a bit disappointing though. The chicken bites we got as appetizers were great though. They don't serve alcohol but you can pay a corking fee and bring your own. Lovely spot in the city.

Great lunch time restaurant that has a variety of meals! I've come here a fair few times during lunch hour and my go to is the dry noodles! Very delicious, affordable prices and friendly staff in a casual atmosphere. What else do you ask for when dining out?

Very friendly service. Authentic and delicious Malaysian food. Famous by locals for it's devine laksa (if you like your laksa rich and creme this is he best one in town for me) and yummy chicken rice. Try the freshly made ice tea. Very refreshing. Good price and very fast service. Very old established family run restaurant which used to be in a very little space in a backstreet mall and was always packed at lunchtime with locals. Moved a couple of years ago into a bigger more generous space. Tasteful decorated with comfortable seating. Still packed at lunchtime. Go early or late or book a table to avoid being disappointed. You won't regret it!!! Would give it 6 stars if i could.

My girlfriend and I love going here for the Laksa. I've been a fan since their days in the cramped shop in the arcade in the mall, they were always packed back then. They offer a variety of Malaysian and Asian staples, like Laksa, hainanese chicken rice and various soups and stir fries. Their sizzling Mongolian is my favourite right now. They're in much bigger and nicer venue now but their prices are still fair and their food is still great.

I thought a spicy laksa in this tropical darwin weather was a little strange (typical melbourning here). But after having a wonton laksa at the Rendevous Cafe, my god! What a treat, not overly spicy quiet light actually and one of the best I've had. Considering I may only order this soup once a year in Melbourne, I'm amazed laksa soup is so popular up in the top end. Well done Darwin.

Rendezvous is home to a loyal and longtime following of Darwin locals who come mostly for the famous Rendezvous Laska but also for the other tasty Asian dishes that are a staple of this small family run restaurant. It can be quite packed at lunch during the week days as it is very popular with the city work crowd. Limited seating so booking ahead is recommended

Located in the dying heart of Darwin city, this cafe is a fresh breath of air to most of the dining experiences I've had whilst living in Darwin. The Staff are really courteous and the food was really well prepared and tasted fresh which is unusual for Darwin culture. I'd love to visit them again, but being located in the city with it's unusual punishment to anyone that drives a motor vehicle it's hard to justify the frustration. I'll be back, one day.
