Nice ambience, lovely crowd, and great service.
On the main food street, besides a convenient parking spot. It also facilitates an outdoor seating area.
Good menu with a variety of options, including vegan options.

I walked in here for the owner’s collection of teapots and quirky decorations, the cafe also supports Sheffield artists by showing some of their works here. If you planning visit this beautiful town you must have a cup of coffee or tea here.

An amazing experience on a Good Friday! The staff were attentive even on a busy public holiday. Quality products as well.
The owner was extremely friendly and made a new drink (free of charge despite my insistence to pay) after I accidentally dropped my first. I got a sticky spiced chai brewed with soy milk to take away, and it was unique and delicious!
I also love the wide range of products available for purchase in the cafe! I got a beautiful blue scrunchie. I would highly recommend this cafe and would visit again for a proper sit down experience.

This cafe is a hidden gem in the town of Sheffield, with beautiful and electric decors and lovely and friendly staff. The bathroom even has complementary perfumes! In terms of food, we got the Blacksmith burger, chicken and veggie soup and some scones. Everything tasted great (with a particular recommendation for the scones) and fuelled our stomach for the long drive after to Cradle Mountain.
J. R.
Very cute little cafe. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help an elderly customer in the store. The bathroom was very interesting and full of character with a little dressing table with perfumes deodorants ect and a little sign saying refresh your self. what a wonderful idea. there was blankets to use and they even offer bibs and wipes for babies. coffee was lovely and the pies just perfect!

This place is superb! I can’t speak highly enough if it. 10 of us on a cycling trip turned up for a late lunch and all had the most delicious meals, served with a smile at their new outside tables. Fabulous home made pies, good coffee, a range of home made sweets. Fantastic.

What a great coffee shop! The best we have found on our first trip to Tassie! Great coffee, superb service, a great ambience…..a must see on your to-do list!
R. T.
We had Beef &bacon burger and pumpkin soup. That was delicious. Thank you.

The owner of the cafe is pretty friendly, and he also supports Sheffield's artists by showcasing some of their work here. The decoration of the shop itself is interesting and the coffee is good. The staff could be friendlier though 🌚
J. Y.
Never thought I would found this gem in this little town on the way to cradle mountain. Thoughtfully decorated and lovely to look at inside and out.
E. R.
Loved the Gallery Cafe. Eating breakfast while looking around all the glorious things I can purchase and all the gorgeous art. Wide range of meals. Lovely service. Adore my scrunchie I brought. Will be a definite stop when going through Sheffield again
F. B.
Delicious breakfast in a fascinating cafe/shop. The kids menu options were particularly great, they do little meals with a few different types of food. Chai was fantastic and so many options!
M. O.
Absolutely awesome coffee, snacks and sweets in a beautiful, funky and cosy coffee shop. If in Tasmania and passing through Sheffield, it is a must!
J. T.
Highly recommended place to eat in Sheffield! It has a vegan/vegetarian menu with homemade vegetarian pies that are really delicious! I'm in love with the desserts too, which are not overly sweet with a nice, cosy atmosphere.
Am definitely coming back again when we visit Tassie!
C. B.
Sweet Cafe with great food (their lolly slice was a nostalgic gem) and reviving coffee after the scenic drive through Cradle Mountain. I may have bought too many pairs of earrings and a scarf, too. Well worth the stop!
H. S.
Plenty of seating available. Wide selection of decent quality cakes, sandwiches and pastries. Good option for a small town.
M. K.
Best chicken cheese pie ever! I live in Cradle and always come to grab one. Great coffee, nice atmosphere. Really recommend stop in here and grab breakfast or lunch.
D. F.
Good coffee, fast service and friendly staff ☕️

It was such a lovely lunch for us. The coffee is beautiful and has macadamia favour without extra charge. The pie is absolutely tasty.

K. L.
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, tasty cakes with great selection. Lots of nice gifts for purchase as well.

We dropped in this afternoon for a cuppa and scones. Can there be a better place ticking all the boxes in Tasmania, I don't think so! Coffee, scones, service, views, decorations, accessible, wheelchair friendly, ideal for singles, couples, families and groups! We will be back soon 😊

Amazing food and ambience! The pies are the best we've had and the coffee is great. Outstanding desserts. A really beautiful place to relax and enjoy a meal.
J.
Consistent good coffee. If your going to eat in Especially during the holiday times maybe call ahead and book a table. Otherwise staff are friendly and food is great too.
A. G.
Stopped in here for a much needed bite to eat and coffee after walking up Mt Claud. Such a cool little place!! Crazy collection of teapots!! Yummy bakery style food and breakfast choices. Good coffee. Funny toilet that you could spend hours in reading!! Friendly staff and fast service. Thanks guys!!
M. H.
Had lunch there twice and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely place, friendly & efficient staff and the pea & ham soup and pumpkin & vegetable roll were delicious.
A. B.
Beautiful coffee and big vegan brekkie! Takeaway is done so well for big brekkies too! Antiques are worth a look and the ambience is homely✨💝
S. J.
This place is great. The food is simple but tasty. Coffee is decent. The treat is all the collectables that have been gathered over the years
L. O. V.

R. O.
Very cosy and quirky Cafe, very friendly staff and I had a very good hot Chocolate, delicious, definitely come back.
A. Y.
Amazingly "beautiful" small breakfast and coffee shop. Wonder why big cities don't have places like these. A must go for all art and crafts lovers. Also lovely coffee and food.
P. L.
Huge scones, berry jam and copious amount of cream make this not only value for money but also delicious. Great coffee and friendly service add to the quirky ambiance to make this a must stop in Sheffield.
T.
Rating based purely on the coffee, it cost us $9.60 for 2 small takeaway lattes ($4.80 each), was quite weak and milky, couldn't taste coffee but that's common at country town cafes, some people like it like that. Wouldn't go back for coffee, not sure about the food though.
Y. P. Y.
Great food, great staff. The owner makes fantastic pies, love the Thai Pie the most. Apparently the owner was an Asian cuisine chef previously, he knows how to make fantastic authentic Asian flavours in his cooking of Asian dishes. Coffee is served at the perfect temperature, you would swear the staff are trained Battista's. The place is a little clustered, but creates a unique atmosphere.
A. F.
Quirky little cafe serving great home cooked meals.
S.
Blacksmith Gallery Cafe is always quirky with lots to see inside and outside and lovely food. This is the place I got to when I'm in Sheffield. Well worth a stop when I'm passing through.

I hardly ever give a review unless something is a really bad or good experience. Clearly a favourite, Blacksmith Café offers homemade pie and pastries, fluffy scones, hot chai and coffee and all we could dream of on our way out of the cold mountains. Definitely worth the visit
G. P.

T. W.
An eclectic shop of curiosities as well as a cafe. Warning; the burger is huge
T. L.
A little cafe with a lot of character tucked away in the main drag of Sheffield. Enjoy a nice brew next to the fireplace or take your coffee outside to the park, only a minutes walk, and enjoy the inspiring backdrop of Mount Roland.
M. B.
Nice quirky vibe. Great coffee. Be sure to try a sausage roll - delicious!
T.

Food was okay, however the coffee took almost half an hour to come and came way after our food. The staff were not welcoming or friendly and when we asked if we could put our coffee into take away cups to take with us, they were extremely rude.
C. B.

The decor was unique and gave a welcoming and relaxing vibe. We stopped in for breakfast, but there was no breakfast menu on display. We found out there was one and it was fairly is light on, and the meal we opted was average. The coffee was great however.

Delicious food in a quirky little place. Lots of little knick knacks and humorous little things throughout the cafe.
The mural on the outside of the cafe is amazing. See if you can find all the mice.
