Nicest staff I've met in any cafe or restaurant in Tasmania. Waitresses were doting without being the slightest bit overbearing. They kept coming to chat with us. 😁 The owner took an interest in us after seeing my partner investigating his plants: then offered us a bunch of plant babies! Free! Just because! The food was absolutely great, too. Just a really nice, satisfying, memorable experience.

What a lovely spot. We always pop in when we are on holidays and the food and service is excellent in a lovely setting. I can’t praise the customer service enough I was in the cafe on my own today with my 6 month old who was not very happy. Grant went out of his way to help me and set me up with a baby chair and toys to entertain her. And when she couldn’t be settled he packaged up my lunch to take away. Such a kind gesture when I was clearly struggling with a small baby. Thanks again :)

Lovely cafe with excellent parking at the side of the cafe/ deli. I’ve found a lot of coffee very weak in our travels around Tassie. Not here!! The coffee was excellent and strong. We shared a bacon and egg toastie which was good. The food coming out looked excellent and plentiful. We will come back and try their soup of the day later. Lamb shanks and barley. Staff are friendly and have a positive attitude.

I had a really good experience here for mothers day. I had a gourmet steak sandwich which I really enjoyed, the only small thing I could say is the turkish bread could be just a little less toasted, that is it, but that is being very picky. My friend was happy with her meal & our share plate. Kids were happy with their meals, the burger & the vego lasagne. Thank you Barb & Grant for a lovely Mothers Day lunch 🧡

An outstanding place to eat in Deloraine. So family friendly, toys, change table, even a toilet insert for toilet-trainers! Delicious, fresh food made with local ingredients. Staff are uniformly friendly, helpful, professional. Great spot. Pricier than a bakery but more than worth it!

Outstanding eggs benedict. Without a doubt the best I have experienced in Tasmania in the last 6 years living here. Eggs were perfectly poached, bacon was outstanding, toast was ideal, and the sauce was both excellent tasting and perfectly sufficient for the dish size. Can highly recommend spinach as an optional extra since it really made the dish that much better. Will be back again and again. Nothing beats all day breakfast on a sunday.

Not the best coffee in town and set at the top of town on a roundabout where parking can be a bit awkward.Still a popular spot win a variety of sitting areas including a glassed in area that overlooks the town and surrounds. Probably a good place for a meal for passing travellers.

My husband and baby arrived in Deloraine late in the afternoon. Following a rushed check in to our Airbnb we looked around for a takeaway dinner. It’s a small town so as expected, not much in the sense of online ordering. I was very glad I came across Deloraine Deli who offered their full dinner menu for takeaway if you provide a dinner plate for meals that required a more tricky plating up. Loved this idea, and it also meant no wasted packaging. My husband and I enjoyed a very hearty dinner of lamb shank and beef cheek that night thanks to this restaurant. Delicious!

"No worries," said the boss, "he can sit over there." Had the best toasted banana bread I have ever tasted - and I have had my share. So we had another round. Well worth the detour.
