This place is an institution in Lindisfarne and justifiably so. We had eggs benny and Spencers best which is a brioche bun with bacon, fried egg and spinach. The tomato salsa that it comes with, is sensational good coffee, fair prices and great service. Looks like only open until mid afternoon but they start at 7am. Very smooth all round they have a separate takeaway section which is a clever idea.

Service was absolutely incredible. Came here on Easter Sunday for takeaway since it was one of only a few places open. Asked for pancakes and was told they weren't on the menu, but the lovely staff offered to make the mix up specially. Delicious food.

A great place with great food and staff. They are trying their hardest to accommodate everyone with this pandemic and even though they must be under considerable stress and worry, they still deliver great service and food!

Not enough stars to rate this resturant, 10 Stars from me. A fantastic place to eat, food is delicious and the friendly staff are amazing. I have never been to a resturant where the staff make you feel like one of the family and nothing is a trouble to order. My favorite place in Hobart to eat.

Really happy with this venue. Have asked a couple of times for small changes to menu items, and staff have had no trouble being accommodating. Parking can be tricky, if any trouble usually lots down at Simmons Park. Strongly recommend to anyone. Easily my favourite cafe eatery on the Eastern Shore.

I was somewhat disappointed, the food was very ordinary. I had the pork belly burger. It was simply a couple of small pieces of pork belly on a bun with coleslaw , cucumber and shoestring fries. The person I was dining with sent her pot pie back because of the lack of meat in the pie. The coffee was good though. The interior decor is very plain. However the staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Had breakfast here with family and food and coffee is great. Premises is large for a cafe but there is ceiling noise defusers installed to reduce crowd impact. Service is attentive and polite. Great to see lindisfarne with its own quality dining.

Food was great and nice atmosphere, however chaotic. Our reserved table was in a weird spot and a poster was fallen on the table behind us, waitress kept glancing at me funny after some minor kerfuffle. Kinda weird that the waitstaff weren’t wearing aprons or badges to show that they were taking orders so we were a bit frazzled when some lady approached our table with coffees, and then left saying “Oh well” I think she was confused and got mixed up. My point is, you’ll be very lucky to get a spot outside.

Always stellar service and delicious food. We've called in when they've been flat out before and they've somehow managed to magic up a couple of seats and accommodated us with a smile. It's great to have such a nice place to eat on the eastern shore

First time visit to Spencer's and we enjoyed the experience. The food was very good and the staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very patient with our small group of oldies. The cafe was really clean and well presented although it did get a little noisy at one stage. The cafe have mainly mitigated this by having sound absorbent materials installed - which a few other eateries could learn from - but you can't always mitigate against loud people! Will definitely go back as we really liked the venue and food.

My son and I came for a visit. We didn't make a reservation. Although very busy, the staff were kind enough to make space for us outside and we really enjoyed our chai and hot chocolate. The café was very clean and welcoming and that have good bathroom facilities. Recommended!

Great food and service. Great atmosphere. The reason I took one star off is because I ordered the club sandwich and it was too big to eat (I wish I had taken a photo) it was delicious don't get me wrong and so were the home made chips and dipping sauce but the sandwich consisted of three very thick pieces of toast and in between was a piece of scotch fillet and a chicken breast. It was impossible to get your mouth around. The plate was also too small so it was very hard to deconstruct it and eat with a knife and fork. I enjoyed it though and would go back again.

Fantastic cafe. Spencer's is my local and I've been there countless times for coffee, breakfast and lunch. The entire team are just beautiful, and the service is uniformly attentive. Nothing is too hard for them. The food is excellent, with a very well balanced menu and specials. No wonder it's always very busy! I can usually get a table, but there often aren't many spare, so booking is a good idea.

Best place to get coffee on a Sunday. We took the dog for a 10k walk today just as an excuse to go and get coffee from Spencer's. They also do really nice food. Bonus points for being dog friendly (outdoor area only).

Spencer's Friday dinners are something special. Only opens 1 night per month, 3rd Friday, it is well worth the visit. Great food competitively priced desserts to die for. If you are around, I can thoroughly recommend going to Spencer's. If you can't make dinner why not call in for coffee, cake or some little treat. Staff know how to treat customers, that's why I keep going back.

Had gone to try for first time. Was disappointed with my lunch but others looked ok. There is plenty of room. You dont feel crowded or cramped like you can do in smaller cafes. Went for Mother's Day. Supposedly it was busy but it didnt seem any busier than any other decent cafe in Hobart would be on a weekend. The breakfast menu, was a slimmed down version of their regular menu which I'd heard was quite good. This didn't bother me overly but it was a little disappointing. I ordered the home made beans, w/ chorizo and mushrooms - can't complain they were pretty good. I did ask for some bacon on the side but was told they weren't doing sides today, this was disappointing because my father in-law was sitting up the other end of the table eating eggs bene. Surely they could just cook twice the bacon and give me half of that? I was happy to pay and it was a very very very simple request. But it was a no can do said the waitress. This couldve easily has been a 4 or even a 5 star review, but some things leave a bitter thought in your head. I'll be back, we'll see if they improve on their service.

Third experience here, haven't had an issue until today. We ordered coffees, devonshire scones and savory scones. Coffee was lovely, savory scones were beautiful, devonshire scones were microwaved to the point of a rubbery tough texture. Once we had finished and proceeded to pay we were then told rudely 'we have had no complaints before on our scones'. Now, I understand that things happen, etc. However, rude customer service isn't the way to go about a 'complaint'. We were not offered an apology upon departure. I have always had a great experience at Spencer's until today.

My first visit at spencer was last week. I was served by an employee called Oscar, we had a little chat while he was making my coffee. Very friendly guy he was. He said he was new in town but let me tell you his coffee probably is the best in town. Thanks spencer for your service and great food.

Spencer's has some great food options from the more healthy options like avocado and egg with sourdough to the sickly sweet pancakes there should be something for everyone. The down side to Spencer's is it can get crowded and noisy, however there are a few outdoor seats for the warmer weather. Parking is also very limited.

Great local cafe, friendly staff and high quality food. They really are good hosts here, it's one of my favourite places to eat. Have been several times and cannot fault their consistency.
