I am not a huge fan of brunch but definitely enjoyed my time here at Addict Food & Coffee - especially since the weather was beautiful :) We decided to grab Big Breakfast ($20), Green Breakfast ($17), Truffle Mushroom Potato Hash ($18.5), and Son In Law Eggs ($18.5). I personally recommend Big Breakfast and Son In Law Eggs👌 -Big Breakfast - chorizo, tomato, roasted field mushroom, potatoe hash, avocado, toamto relish & poached eggs on sourdough toast. -Green Breakfast - sauteed kale, spinach & broccoli with peanut dukkah, hummus, snow pea tendrils, lemon and a poached egg. -Truffle Mushroom Potato Hash - truffle mushroom duxelle, hash, roasted field mushroom, caramelised onion and a poached egg. -Son In Law Eggs - crispy bacon, chili hollandaise, coriander, fried shallot & curry leaves on roti They were all delicious but I personally found Truffle Mushroom Potatoe Hash a bit bland - heaps of shredded mushroom but... that's pretty much it. I felt like it needed additional flavour to complete the dish. Son In Law Eggs on the other hand tasted amazing. Roti with chili hollandaise sauce was surprisingly good! Highly recommend this dish :) But overall, I felt like you get the most value for money with Big Breakfast - actually looked like a proper breakfast than a typical "brunch". Simply but hearty👌 Definitely worth visiting!

The venue has a really nice vibe to it and the staff are all super friendly and attentive. Coffees came out quickly and were okay, nothing amazing though. The food was a bit of a let down. Although it looks amazing the potato hash meal had way too many mushrooms. I love mushrooms but this was overkill and they lacked in much flavour. The bread in the sweet and savoury meal was dry and super tough. Overall, an okay meal but nothing special.

Good food but bad ambiance. Unlucky to come on peak period and it was busy, that said, it’s a good sign that it’s busy, means it’s good. Good: Food was great, with the chilli scrambled eggs topping the charts. Has a QR MENU called Mr Yum that gives you details on the menu options with good photos. Bad: Disappointed that the “BIG” breakfast came relatively “small” compared to the chilli scrambled eggs (as shown in image). Only 1 piece of toast Vs 2 piece in the scrambled eggs. I mean mine was called the “BIG” breakfast, not the small and compact. Recommended Addict changing the name. Same can be said for the “Crispy” Bacon, you had my hopes up only to have them come soggy. The Really Bad: The dish washer was outside the kitchen, so the sharp and loud “clink-clank” of glasses just made the whole experience bad. Imagine that on peak hour, it was just non-stop. Recommend sounds proofing the walls or just not have seatings close to the dish washer.

I still think of this lunch from time to time. It was this mouth watering concoction of squeaky fried halloumi and sweet greens that gets me craving halloumi during this quarantine period. This is like one of those minimalist hipster cafes that has a small but effective menu and accommodates for a good long awaited catch up with a dear friend.

On a quest for fritters today and mission was accomplished in this popular spot. Enter three deliciously crunchy corn, kale and quinoa fritters wearing their haloumi hats, trailed by tart coriander and jalapeno yoghurt. Add two poached eggs with yolks that burst in your mouth paired with green tomato and cucumber salsa and the ensemble is complete. Wholesome ingredients that leave a slightly tart aftertaste. Service was brief but complete. The bright contemporary setting was functional and a pleasant space to have a quick bite.

Have made the effort to make it here on two seperate vacations. The inside is urban industrial themed which is very paired back, stylish yet peaceful. The food is the main star. Had breakfast here on a Wednesday morning 7pm. With two tables occupied, service was fast and coffee was 10/10 FANTASTIC. Ordered an almond croissant and raisin scroll which were on the sweet side but delicious nonetheless, and also a big breakfast which was hearty with a moderately spicy choritzo and wedge hash browns (first time seeing such)! Absolutely will go back again to try more of the menu - pricing is very fair!

What a place! It's was very relaxing to sit and read here drinking coffee. I ordered a chilli scrambled egg and boy was it good. I'm not a spicey person so it had quite a bit of kick to it. One of the best chilli scrambled egges I've had. The bacon on the side was also googled the way I like, chard, but not too crispy.

Do yourself a favour and have the fried chicken burger. Damn awesome food; versatile menu to cater for all appetites! Reasonably priced for a Fitzroy cafe. Oh and I failed with the image cause the food and coffee tasted too good.

Addict was a pleasant surprise and the food was good. The Plateup was questionable whereby the fritters were presented as blobs, rather than patties as they normally would be served. The dish was played up in a quarter of the plate, leaving your imagination to run wild in thinking that something was accidentally left off the plate or a suprise extra portion would arrive with great fanfare. Alas, one must bring the dish into the centre of the plate oneself to realise that it was a normal size dish. Staff were attentive but never talked to each other. This lead to our table being asked the sales questions at least three times each. If they get their Plateup and service communication in order, it may deserve a five star rating.

Coffee was nice, though a touch too bitter for me. I think that is a preference thing, though, as my wife really liked hers. Anyway a sugar helped. My daughter loved her egg and scarfed it down. Scarfed! At one point the staff put on sole very loud, upbeat music and she started dancing along, so good job there. It was only like a minute, and then, silence? Odd. At any rate it was a fine experience and we had a good time. I would have loved to try the soft shelled crab with eggs, but alas it was not to be. Next time?????¿¿¿

Addict Food and Coffee is a cosy cafe just off the main streets of Fitzroy. The coffee was great and the food excellent for the price. For the tea drinkers among you they use lose leaf not tea bags if that's important to you. The location is quiet enough you won't have a ridiculous amount of walking traffic if you are wanting to sit outside. The one thing to be aware of is the size. If you have a large party 6+ you might struggle to be seated. Considering how popular it is you may even find getting a table for 4 a bit of a challenge. A solid choice amongst the many available in this area.

Service was prompt but the food was way too salty for my taste. We got the Truffle Mushroom with hash and Big Breakfast. I thought the mushroom in my Truffle Mushroom was salty but my mate had it worse. Would definitely be much better if they didn't douse their mushroom in salt. The hash was definitely their redeeming item, although I would still consider it to be on the salty side. Overused the word "salty" now in this short paragraph. In conclusion, I would be keen to return for some coffee but maybe not the food anytime soon.

On my recent visit I really enjoyed eggs Benedict with beetroot hollandaise, corn fritters and avocado. Whether you're a vego or vegan, you can find something here. Eggs benedict very nice and hollandaise was perfect. Corn firtters excellent. I'm told the breakfast board is to die for. The interior is funky and modern - quite minimalistic but still warm and inviting. Service was great and the staff were extremely helpful and eager to please. be happy here. Attracts a lot of regulars and locals. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/Stroller accessible. Parking pretty good.

I have been in the past year has always been amazing, the staff is amazing and so friendly and not once was I disappointed.
