This is usually one of our go to places for somewhere local, the foods consistently good, the serving sizes are huge, would highly recommend popping in if you’re around town. 8/10

Our family had a wonderful night. Food was amazing and came out in no time at all. We were seated outside and the server we had Lillian, did the most she could to accomodate us as it was a little chilly outside. We cannot thank Lillian enough for her service tonight. So polite and professional and very friendly. It was a wonderful night spent at Amstel. Will definitely be back!

What a great hidden gem? We went for a birthday lunch and we couldn't find a better place for the family! Be aware, you better be hungry because these guys really feed you! No need to look for a golden arches to top up! Service was exceptional in every way. We loved it so much that we wanted to join there and then. We will be back!

Big fan of this place. Bistro food is delicious. Sports bar food was average but wide choice of drinks. A number of large TV's with different sports televised in the sports bar both indoors and smoking areas, ideal for mates catching up. Trivia looks popular and keen to try it out sometime along with the grassed music area. A well kept, clean venue with spacious and diverse spaces which would suit any occasion.

Just celebrated my sons 21st with 12 people and we all thought the food was delicious. The serves were nice and large and everything was cooked perfectly. Special mention to our waitress Hans, she was very friendly with a beautiful smile😊. Thankyou all.

On the positive, kids meals are a generous size and all meals came out relatively quick. Reasonable craft beer selection. Otherwise, a bit underwhelming, last time was definitely better. Steak under done, surf and turf came out with deep fried seafood, garlic prawns missed the mark. Ribs not even warm. I also don't like the idea of table service, yet you need to leave your card? Seems a bit backward.

I have been to Amstel twice since recently moving too the area and can contest I will be back. The food is amazing with matching service. It has been very busy and a little noisey when I was there but I assume this only highlights it's popularity. Being a club you have to sign in or sign up as a member which really isn't complicated. Dinner was good but not upto the usual standard. They do awesome steak there and it's our go to place for a good steak. The steak was tender and cooked as ordered but little taste which is unusual. Maybe had a different chef this evening? We also had cheese and garlic pizza to start which was tastless.

2nd time coming. First time lovely, service a little slow but they were busy, meal was delicious and price was reasonable. I did think it a little odd that people were lining up in the dining area for the bar - seemed to be a weird structure and line was rather long, but again they were busy. 2nd visit I chose to come after my first visit being nice only to be disappointed. Entree beautiful, table cleared and we waited some time before receiving the main, I wouldn't say that they were overly busy either. Once the main arrived I realised that our cutlery had been taken. I went to the counter and asked for some, one of the knives looked as thought it hadn't been cleaned yet, to which I asked for another (I hadn't even left the counter) the waitress tutted and went and got me another. I returned to my meal, and found that my vegetables were not warm and my salmon was not overly warm either. I want to just think it was a bad night and some time later I hope to come back for a better experience.

My absolute favourite place for drinks and food. I love love looove their lamb shanks with mashed potatoes and the garlic cheese pizza. Rest of the food is also divine. The drinks are at a reasonable price no doubt. Customer service is top notch.

Great function place, spacious and a lot of instgrammable areas. Their light fixtures also added to a great interior design, ample car park space for events. They have a great sports bar, playground for kids and another nice space that has an airstream bus! Their calamares and porterhouse steak was great. They also have a ln ample space for smoking area but the service needs to be more streamed line and organize, the coke zero we got from the bar tasted funny but overall it has great ambiance and food!

The food just doesn't stand up to the décor. High priced, average pub food. For the price and setting I'd be expecting more upmarket pub food, paddock to plate, gastro-pub food. A shame because the venu is really nice, staff really friendly and attentive. The army of bouncers you have the wade through in order to get in or out of the place sends an...interesting message.

Newly renovated club. I gave it 5 stars because of the overall experience. A decent sized indoor play area with tables nearby so the kids and go and play while adults enjoy their meal. Facilities are nice and tastefully finished. Extensive food menu are on offer, it went on for pages. Appear to be parmigiana experts as they had a whole page dedicated to different types. Favourite was the scrumptious sticky date pudding which was moist and pudding-like (vs cake- like at many restaurants). Will return just for the pudding!

The newly revamped bistro has been a welcome addition to this establishment, with much much more to come! The dining room has a vast and open feel about it, the high ceilings are wonderful. There is limited seating outside which you is perfect for balmy summer nights. If you're bringing your family, be sure to book a table near the huge playground, it's so inviting, it makes me wish I was a kid again! The food on offer is absolutely fantastic, the menu is huge with soup, roast and curries of the day on offer as well as 15+ parmas, specialty steaks, warm salads and even a delicious Nasi Goreng (this is one of my favourites) If you're vegetarian or vegan, fear not, you will be looked after here, just ask the friendly staff and they'll help out in any way they can! Seniors and kids menus are also available, so there's something for everyone! This is something that Cranbourne has sorely needed for a long time and it hasn't disappointed at all! With such great value, why wouldn't you try it? Cheers!

I am a local 5 mins away, so given Amtels has newly modernised there restaurant , their revamp looks fantastic. Booking online with Google made it a easy process walked in and warmly greeted by the staff. My American T-bone was cooked exactly the way liked it (Rare). I would have liked to see another seafood like barramundi on the menu but nothing to complain about.

We celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents here, and it was great. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious. Meals were so big that we couldn't finish most of them. Very reasonable prices, and $5 membership for 12 months, which gives you all sorts of discounts and perks. We had a 30th Birthday for my daughter in The Courtyard at the Amstel Club. It's an absolutely stunning room, especially with the Airstream Bar. The staff were fabulous and so accomodating, especially Anna and Marita, and the security staff were great. The food was excellent. Everyone was happy with the drinks menu. Marita did a perfect job of cutting the birthday cakes and taking extra care with the presentation. All our friends commented on the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the venue. It was a perfect night and our daughter was extremely happy, as were we.

No Parent Room. The food was good and the staff were great, beautiful venue! This place is somewhere that seems welcoming to families, however not babies. I tried to find a parent room and there’s a change table in the disabled toilet that was it. I asked where I could feed my baby quietly and was told to go in the courtyard, I asked on a busy night when the courtyard is packed where would I feed? To be told she doesn’t know and that I can feed at my table. The issue here is, I don’t have a problem with publicly breastfeeding, however my 4month old is very distracted at the moment with all the lights and noise I want to take her somewhere quite to feed. And there is some mums that prefer not to publicly feed and that’s okay! I would urge the venue to think of this and not just put a chair in the disabled toilet. Would you like to eat your dinner in the toilet? We probably won’t be coming back but I still hope this is addressed because it’s an awful shame to loose out on customers over something so easily adjusted.

My partner loved the large selection of craft beers. We had our baby with us and the staff were very accommodating. A great family atmosphere in the bistro with the kids playground close by. We will be going back to Amstel Club again.

The place was good. Very spacious and inviting. My wife built her own burger. She ordered the brioche bun with her burger and when she got it that was not a brioche. It looked like a coles hamburger bun. She said it was bland. I order the traditional parma. Now there was no napoli sauce at all there was only cheese and ham. I didn't enjoy it at all. Very disappointed. Won't be going back there anytime soon.

We finally made there ourselves for lunch during a weekday. We were warmly welcomed and seated near the play area. We were advised of their promotions and to order at the bar when ready. As I ordered a kid’s meal, we were given a kid’s activity pack; which contained a great activity book, pencils and lollies. The meal also included a drink and ice cream. I ordered the roast of the day, which was pork. While we waited, the kids enjoyed the play area. Food arrived soon after ordering and the quality of the food was high. We all enjoyed our meals, despite it being difficult keeping the kids at the table for the meals. The play area had age appropriate areas for both of my kids and the most difficult part of our visit was getting the kids to leave. Definitely recommend this bistro. We are usually frequent cafe visitors, so we were impressed with how great they were.

Surely parmigianas and fried fish don’t take that long ... calamari missing off the $35 meal waited further 15 min to receive three calamari rings . Male waiter , when asked for assistance looked annoyed and inconvenienced Whilst I can appreciate sass , not good timing young man. Disappointed with the overall experience , from service to food . After spending well over $200 further $ spent on the way home at the golden arches as we left hungry. Will we be back ? Hmmmmmm ???

Over priced kids meals $13-$14. Used to be $10 for a choice of kids meal + cup of drink + icecream + activity book. To replicate same now cost over $20 for same options. Did get very noisey.

They seem to struggling a bit with the Covid restrictions and set meal times. Arrived at allocated 7:15 timeslot, food orders taken at 7:50. For some reason you still have to go to the bar to order drinks though. Kids meals (chips n chicken nuggets) arrived 20 mins later. 20 mins after that we enquired about the remaining meals, and was told that because our order included a steak (medium) and ribs, it would take longer, and the kids meals were treated as an entre (the menu does not even have an entre section). 20 mins later, food started to arrive. The Parma was hot, burger seemed good, but the steak and ribs were cold (the steak could not even melt garlic butter). When asked how meal was, we told them of the disappointment, and the manager came over. To his credit, he was apologetic, reasonable and a very pleasant young man (he added the extra stars to this review). Whilst most of the food was ok, the experience was not one we would like to repeat. Looking around the restaurant, it appeared that several other tables were also experiencing long delays in them getting their meals. Hopefully just a bad nite, and not the norm.

We came to Amstel for the first time since the revamp. The staff were so lovely and very helpful ( especially Grace ) The play area is just fantastic for little and big kids. The food is good value and we also had a kids eat free night, with a meal, drink, ice cream and activity book. Our son also loved the balloon man. Just an overall great place to take the kids for dinner.

First time customer. My daughter turned 30 yrs old so we booked for a table for20 people in the bistro. When we arrived we found the refurbished Amstel to be a nice and modern layout. The staff were friendly and inviting. We were ushered to our tables and I loved the selection of beers on tap especially the range of craft beer. I recommend the Jetty Road Pale Ale. Unfortunately what really them down was the timing of the meals from ordering till they finally came out took around an hour to an hour and a half. That wasn't just for our table either as I overheard a table of 3 next table over complain about the wait to the service staff. That's the reason I gave them 3 stars in saying that the service staff were great and made sure the dishes were being cleared. It was busy by the time we started to order as well which was from between 6.30pm to 7pm on a Friday night.

We stopped here for dinner last week. They are currently undergoing renovations, but it seems to be business as usual. There are limited tables, but you can also eat in the TAB area, which I'm glad we did, the food was incredible! I ordered the Greek lamb salad, and it was easily the best I have ever had!! There is a small indoor play area for the kiddos as well and the kids meal deal was quite impressive. My daughter cleaned her plate, the spaghetti was a huge hit! Will definitely be back, and I look forward to seeing the finished renovations.

As a first timer, trying to find the way in was an issue. There is a sign for parking but nothing for how to get into the building. So we followed other people who had gone around the back. Only for them to turn around and say "can't get in here. Must be around the front" so 8 of us headed around the front! Followed by other newbies. Nope! Can't get in there either. After everyone discussing the situation. Roufly a group of bout 15-20 now. I eventually asked a lady in the smoking area how to get in and she said "go around the back and right to the other end and that's where the door is". Really! Some sinage would be helpful. Once in, it is really quite nice with a lovely big heater on the wall to stand up against an thour yourself out as you have walked around in the freezing cold for the last 15 min in unsuitable but very nice looking clothes. The menu is quite good with a reasonable kids menu. I am not a big eater an struggle with the bigger meals but they had smaller snack type meals which I thought was terrific so I ordered a chicken snitzel wrap and a small bowl of chips. Lovely. There is closed function rooms if needed and of course you can play the pokies! Yea! My favourite. I will go back here again. Just will park closer to the entrance next time. Now that I know where it is.

Not to everyone's liking in that it's not flash and it has a pub feel about it. However, it has a very relaxed atmosphere, which is possibly why I see regulars here ever since I've been coming here. The food is priced at the lower end of the spectrum and gets cheaper on the steak and parma nights. Again, haven't found the food to be anything fancy but it's competently cooked and prepared to the point of impressing in a subtle way, given that it's priced fairly. I would also add that it appears that they're gone away from quantity and focused more on quality; parmas are no longer huge but are better in presentation and taste. Service can be cheerful depending on who's serving and how busy they are. It's definitely better than when we came here two years ago. Cheers.
