Great place for a weekend brunch. Really generous servings of delicious food. Service was impeccable; everything was served with smiling eyes and friendly voices (through masks) and all the staff were attentive to our needs. Have passed by this Café numerous times, and now so glad to have tried it. Will definitely come back.

This might be a specialty coffee shop, but non-coffee drinkers please don't be deterred. The leaf Chai is wonderful, tasty and not overly sweet. The snacks provide a good option for a light lunch. There are a few split levels of seating, so is a good place for that meeting place in the heart of the city.

Really excited to see the amazing food delivered to our table this morning - visually outstanding and packed with flavour. I had poached eggs on beautiful crunchy crust sourdough and my dining companion enjoyed the chilli scramble which looked like something out of a MasterChef challenge. The service was super friendly and attentive. I will be back for sure. Great job.

We had fried chicken burger with kimchi and fries, schnitzel burger (which we ate before we could even click a picture) and latte. Everything was perfect but for me fried chicken burger with kimchi was the best of the best. I don’t think I will regret saying it was the best burger I have ever had in my life till date. The server girl was so nice, joyful and polite. She made our day.

The pancakes were fluffy and had a great flavour to them. The Eggs Benedict was a great dish and the pulled pork added a nice twist to a breakfast classic. The menu is quite limiting and their options for breakfast are a bit basic, but nonetheless, still a great place. The coffee was good also, the only issue is they didn't have any syrups (i.e. caramel) to add to the coffee.

Bright clean coffee shop near the entrance to Melbourne Central. Lots of seating, so easy to social distance. Good variety of coffee. I had the New Orleans cold brew with chicory, cinnamon. Cardamom topped with milk. Delicious. The burger was also very tasty. Chips were the weak link. There is also a good range of breakfast treats to bring me back. The menu is online via a QR Code but you order through the waitstaff.

Glad to find that Axil has finally opened up brunch in the CBD that is open in the weekend. You can't really ask for a better location than MC. Brunch menu is the same as other branches.

Great food. Great staff and AMAZING customer service. They will go above and beyond for each customer that will walk through the walls. As for the pancake that I had. I like the texture that it gave off. The cream and garnishes encircling around the food gave the pancake that appealing look. The black ice cream was a nice touch. I thought it was chocolate at first but I was nicely surprised when it turned out to be ice-cream. I cannot recommend this place enough to those who wants to have a coffee break and are in the CBD. 9 out of 10. Please come down if you can!

The place was so good. The ambience and vibe was so cozy and the food was excellent as well. I had the Baked Egg dish and it was so great. It smelled strongly of tomato but once I started digging in, I was pleasantly surprised to find it so tasty. Would highly recommend to try this place.

Gorgeous cafe, wonderful service, phenomenal coffee, good food but mediocre chilli egg scramble :( FOOD: We ordered the ‘Red Velvet Pancakes’ and the ‘Chilli Scrambled Eggs’. The red velvet pancakes were wonderful! The blend of flavours was great although the pancake was slightly soggy 😞 The brownie crumble made up for it however and I like how it was cocoa rich and not just a sugar brownie! It really made it taste like a red velvet pancake! The ‘Chilli Egg Scramble’ sounded AMAZING but when I tasted it... it was underwhelming :( The bagel was abit too hard for my liking so when I bit into it, it hurt my mouth abit. The chilli scramble was also not as seasoned as I liked it to be and the salmon was good but a small portion in comparison to the lots of microleaves and also cherry tomatoes. COFFEE: Amazing! Axil never fails with their coffee and when dining in; it is even better SERVICE & PROTOCOL: Pleasant and kind crew! They were strict with protocol and quick to seat! They also were cheery on a dull Friday morning. AMBIENCE: I had to give a special shoutout to the ambience; it is phenomenal! With it being connected to Melbourne central tower, I highly recommend exiting to it because it’s breathtaking! Overall, the cafe was gorgeous and a good experience but it was tragic that the chilli egg scramble was not the greatest :-( However, everything else was up to mark! (still leaning my bias to Axil in Chaddie tho 😋)

The coffees are good, the wait staff are generally professional, except that guy who throws cups. The spoon literally sled off, and he couldn't have cared less. The music is really loud too. Ok, now that we've gotten the reason why I knocked a star off out of the way, can we talk about the long black spritz, because it is glorious. Who knew mixing long black with Earl Grey and topping the concoction off with tonic could lead to a pleasant surprise?

Has the public become somewhat more feral post lockdown? The crew at this place did a stellar job at keeping things going despite customers behaving like wild pigs. Trashed tables and food on the floor. Coffee and food was brilliant, more so when one takes into account how busy it was, the public acting like animals and the staff shortage.

The team at Axil Coffee was absolutely amazing! My partner and I came in for a small iced coffee - which was fantastic, the barista was very generous on the ice cream. While the coffee was great - the reason for the 5 star review was that when a man in need came in, the barista didn’t hesitate to offer him a free coffee. We thought this was a very selfless act of kindness - especially during times where businesses themselves are struggling.

Came here to sit down and have a coffee break from shopping. I ordered an iced mocha with almond milk and it was delicious!! The ice cream made it sweeter and tasty. They checked that I could have ice cream since I ordered almond milk which was very kind of them to check. I didn't taste much chocolate, but my partner (who has more developed taste for coffee - I hardly ever drink coffee so I find it strong) said the chocolate flavour was definitely there. They seem reasonable priced for the city! My partner enjoyed his espresso. The flavours were great. We are lovers of axil coffee and usually have a few bags of their different flavours at home, so it was a treat to visit their cafe. The staff were very kind and lovely, and we had a lovely time chilling here. Great atmophere too.

My friend and I couldn't fault our brunch here the other day. Staff attended to us quickly and we got our meals very quickly. I ordered the corn & zucchini fritters which was such a tasty dish. The crispy sweet potato chips gave the dish the crunchy texture it needed and were super moorish. The salsa, poached egg and avocado complimented the fritters beautifully. My friend ordered the scramble which was such a pretty dish. She really enjoyed the flavours and would definitely order it again. The coffees were the perfect strength also. The only thing I noticed was the cafe was quite cold inside (and it's a very cold day in Melbourne), which was slightly uncomfortable and the coffee got cold quickly. The ambience is spacious, modern and very clean looking. I'll definitely be back in future to try their popular jaffles!

We had an amazing experience here on Sunday. Great looking store, beautiful food, wonderful attentive staff and of course great tasting coffee!!! Perfect location to stop and recharge when you’re out shopping or a quick coffee hit if you’re in a rush. The Croque Madame and Eggs Benny were mouth watering and I hear the Katsu Sanga is a wonder, I’ll be back for it soon...

My wife and I were looking for a quick weekday breakfast and were glad to find this open. The layout is super stylish and the menu a bit on the ambitious side, but any pretentiousness was brushed aside by the prompt, friendly service and generous serves of delicious buttered sourdough with eggs, house-smoked salmon and fruit toast. That and they were streaming Neutral Milk Hotel at 8am. All of that makes it 5 stars. Axil is like the hot girl or guy at the bar who at first you think is out of your league, until you find out they are super chill and down to earth.
