Once we found out Cafe Henkel was reopening for dine in meals we made a booking for Saturday morning brunch. The food was delicious, great quality and generous serving. Staff are friendly and everything is 100 % Gluten Free. I had the chicken parma and chips. We will be back....

Quiet little cafe, with excellent food and very friendly service.
Lots of options that satisfied the coeliac and non coeliac, plus our child.
I liked that there were ample non egg based dishes, so the menu felt more like a restaurant than a typical Melbourne cafe. Plus, they offer sparkling water :D
Will definitely be returning

We had our baby shower at Cafe Henkel as my husband is coeliac, and the reassurance of no cross contamination was highly important to us. Jenny and her team pulled off our vision perfectly. The food was delicious, and guests didn’t realise it was all gluten free until told. Jenny was also amazing at catering for a few guests who are lactose intolerant too.
We’ve been in for brunch and the pancakes are delicious, would highly recommend! And we’ll be back with our little one in future! Thank you Jenny and your team!

This was my second visit to Cafe Henkel, so I’ve upgraded my rating and added to my original review...
Lovely room, good setup, and roomy. Friendly staff too.
This visit I had a cheeseburger (loved it!) which was served with their yummy chips, followed by the lactose free New York cheesecake (OMG!)...
Last visit (Feb 2019) I had a Tumeric latte, which was quite nice, and the Chicken Parmigiana (dairy free option). The chicken was unfortunately a little dry. I’m not sure what the sauce on the top was but it tasted like it was just tomato paste and not an actual sauce...It was also served with their chips (of which none were left)!
My non GF friend had some eggs this visit (cleaned her plate right up!), while previously others had a burger and gnocchi (which was a big serving!) which they said were quite good. The bun didn’t crumble so that’s a huge bonus! They all left nothing on their plates, so I’m guessing that’s a testament to that...
Thanks for making my cafe experience easy with all the GF options!

We held a 70th birthday function at Cafe Henkel in Brunswick last Sunday. It is a stunning venue, the food is five star and the staff are excellent. We had an amazing day and Jenny Maria and all their staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was all gluten free and sensational and being gluten free myself it was fantastic to not have to worry about cross contamination. I recommend this venue to everyone whether it’s a celebration you want to have or for brunch on the weekend. It is well worth a visit.

Fully gluten free cafe, accredited by Coeliac Australia, which also has a sit down restaurant area. My partner is a coeliac and enjoys being able to eat everything on the menu, and it's tasty for a non-coeliac too.

Great in house made pie and relish, coffee was great, staff super friendly and they have a surprisingly large, modern well kept bathroom available for customers. The pie was admittedly expensive at $9 but worth it in my opinion if you can't eat gluten. I personally would have preferred a normal gluten based pastry pie but I wasn't paying much attention when I ordered so ahh well. It was tasty enough but nothing beats real pie crust. The internal meat part of the pie leaves nothing to complain about . The chick serving me was friendly, helpful and polite despite it being her first day. They have an a'lacart menu aparantly but I didn't bother looking at it as I was there 20 mins before close and I'm not an a**h***! ✌️😅✌️

Pancake stack with Apple, Rhubarb and butterscotch sauce was amazing.
Dad the coeliac was spoilt for choice and couldn't make his mind up. He decided to go with the chips and loved them before finishing my pancakes :)
The coffee is also brilliant and would make any coffee aficionado happy.
Great service and great product, will definitely be returning!

I had heard about this place from the Coeliac Australia website and ate there for the first time today.
I had the beef burger and chips and seriously overindulged because it was so delicious. It was such a relief to just relax and enjoy the food without having to worry about cross contamination with everything you eat and drink! Can't wait to return.

I took my coeliac daughter here for a take away lunch on day 1 of Lockdown 4.0 in Melbourne and it was delicious! She LOVES the chips - a real treat for a coeliac knowing they aren't fried in the same oil as gluten! We can't wait to come back!

Food is AMAZING and they cater for most dietary restrictions. Have been here with friends/family who are not gluten free and they have loved the food as well. Highly recommend the big breakfast, eggs Benedict, chicken parma, pancakes and the fried chicken waffles (on the specials menu occasionally). Staff are wonderful too!

Excellent food and service. As a Coeliac, I loved that I could order anything from the menu without concern. Homemade veggie pie was fantastic!!! Loads of chunky, fresh veggies and great pastry

Took my Coeliac daughter to Cafe Henkel Sunday. We had a delicious breakfast! It was so amazing for her to be able to pick anything she wanted & eat off my plate!! Will definitely be back when we’re in Melbourne again!! Thank you Cafe Henkel!!

Ate with my partner today at Cafe Henkel for the first time as it’s a little out of the way from us and oh.. my.. god.. the food was delicious!!
We had a schnitzel ciabatta roll, fries and eggs Benedict to share. The ciabatta roll and the English muffin were amazing. They did not fall apart or crumble like you’d normally see and were fluffy and soft not firm and dense!
The eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was the perfect balance of flavours. My non-coeliac partner usually avoids hollandaise because so many places get it so wrong (too much of a mayonnaise flavour) but he absolutely loved it.
We love trialing gluten free brunches and have done so all over the suburbs, CBD and coast and my partner and I both agreed it was one of the best (if not the best) gluten free meals we’ve had.
Second to that, the lovely lady who served us and had a chat to us was the epitome of great customer service.
Highly recommend going out of your way if you’re not local to have a bite to eat here!!

I felt safe here given the lack of gluten, and I didn't have to be stressed by touching the kids' meals! The food (we ate from the all day breakfast menu) was exceptional. Will definitely be back.

We visit Cafe Henkel often when we are in Melbourne. The food is always lovely. The service is always friendly and very welcoming. There is heaps of parking available.
My sister and I have coeliacs and love that we can eat everything in store. My husband who has no food allergies just enjoys the fabulous food.

We enjoyed a delicious brunch here with our family today. My nephew is coeliac and he was over-the-moon to discover he could order and eat anything off their menu! Very friendly staff and vegetarian options offered too! Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely beautiful food! The selection of cakes was wonderful. The Hazelnut Roulade was so good. Two lovely girls served us they were so friendly and their customer service was a delight. I can't wait to go back there again!

Open early on the weekends, coffee is good and food looks really good. Of the main road so follow the sign. Overall very clean and comfy.

Quiet Monday brunch - when we arrived there were a couple of Uber Eats drivers waiting for orders.
The lady showed us around to see the large dining room and bar. It looked lovely.
It was a great way to have GF food without the weekend hassle. Great to be able to share my food with my Coeliac daughter without fear of contamination.
Looking forward to our next visit.

This place is amazing! I have a variety of dietary requirements (FODMAP diet) and both the wait staff and owner/manager went above and beyond to not only help me feel at ease but also prepare something super delicious and safe to eat!! Could not recommend them enough! Will definitely be back!

Came to this cafe with my coeliac friend, and was blown away by the food and service. The staff were lovely and we were given completary bread and yummy beetroot hummus. I had the mashed avocado and it was a beautifully balanced meal that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you!

We had breakfast there at 28th of April 2019, (today) we weren’t able to get the name of the lovely lady who served us this morning but she was so lovely. She was genuinely smiling all throughout. Food is also reasonably priced and yummy. Recommendable 😃
J. G.
Highly recommended. Fantastic atmosphere with friendly staff with great customer service. Great coffee and a wonderful selection of food which is so delicious. Good value for your money. Always looking forward to going each time selecting something yummy from their menu. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing to have a Coeliac Australia accredited cafe - with really good food - around the corner. Great for my coeliac mum, who was so excited to have a meat pie again! Delicious!! Worth heading down the lane every time.

The staff were so accommodating to us even though we ordered food 5min before the kitchen closed.
We were so thankful for their beautiful GF choices.
Highly recommend visiting

Henkel cafe is a delicious haven for everyone (including coeliacs). Everything on the menu is 100% gluten free. On top of their lunch menu, they have delicious cakes and desserts. Staff are also very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended!

A haven for coeliacs and people with other dietary requirements. My favourite is the vegan burger - highly recommend! Everything is gluten free so coeliacs don’t have to worry about cross contamination. It’s also accredited by the coeliac society!
J. G.
Very fancy styling and decent food. I rate it

Waited a long time for meal to come. Yes it was a Saturday but only 8 people sitting down between 2 tables. That's no excuse whether it's during the week or weekend
