This is a Hidden Gem! My husband & I love coming here whenever we are in the city! Staff are absolutely lovely & friendly. They are more than accommodating. They happily made my husband his sandwich fresh. As it was after normal lunch time & too early for dinner. But this is never a issue at all unlike some other places... (yes, it's happened more than once - after our first visit we have always returned!) Food is delicious, fresh & prices are fair. Their coffee is absolutely lovely too. 10/10 every single time!! They are highly professional & they treat EVERYONE with respect. Very welcoming, friendly & professional. They even say goodbye as your leaving & thanking you for coming. We highly recommend them & look forward to returning!

I ordered the Beef Thai Salad, which took a little time to come out, but it was so worth the wait! The beef was nice and tender, the sauce was so tasty and I was smiling eating this meal as it truly was delicious. Highly recommend this salad on a hot day for a very refreshing meal. I will definitely come back here again!

While there is a nice selection of food it came out cold. The coffee was hot though so that’s a bonus. The price is fair for a large coffee and eggs on toast so value is good. Guy who served me was grumpy and mumbled. I don’t know if he was like this because they were possibly understaffed that time of the morning as he seemed to be doing all the service.

For my first official espresso in Melbourne I wandered across Cafe L’incontro on Swanston Street, drawn to the performance of a busker outside whilst patrons watched from alfresco seating. Staff was lovely and my soy latte was excellent as was the sparkling water. The cafe had a wonderful artsy vibe to it with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The quality and portion size is very good, the prices are very reasonable and it's located right in the city close to everything. A nice quiet spot to sit in the CBD if you want to get some work done. Also my girlfriend spilt her glass of sparkling wine and the guy wiped the table and gave her a free one to replace it which was very nice of him.

The location of this cafe/ bar/ restaurant is unbeatable. I have visited them couple of time and while I find most people reasonably nice, I always observed a lack of enthusiasm in almost all servers/waiting staff. I am not sure if that is because the cafe is way too busy all the time and tires them out pretty quickly or it is because their management has created low morale in staff. Food and coffees are usually good.

A breakfast of French toast and a healthy smoothie was a great way to start the day. Happy with the portion size and the toast was cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely. Being a nice day I ate outside but there is inside dining as well. Nicely located on the corner of Little Collins and Swanston Street, it gets a lot of passing trade. Plus it has funky sculptures out the front. Wheelchair accessible if you head up the Little Collins Street side. Kid friendly. Pram and stroller friendly.

Very convenient location. After walking in and sitting down and reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned as there seemed to be a few that mention poor service and bad food. I found the service was fast and with the exception of the slightly abrupt cashier, everyone was lovely. The food itself was good with clean cutlery (normally not something I would mention but someone else mentioned how dirty theirs was). The prices and reasonable. The coffee was probably the worst part of the experience. It was overly milky even for a latte and left a strange after taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this place for coffee. The main selling point of this place is the convenience and in this regard it performs well as it was open on new years day and just off the main road.

This is one of my go to places, they make a good coffee which you can enjoy late at night. This is the one of the best places to continue your night if you are looking for somewhere quieter than a pub or nightclub. There are a few misses on thier drink menu, but that move comes down to personal taste.

Nothing to "write home about" with this place. I enjoyed my food but thought it was more expensive than the quality. Also, we didn't receive our coffee for at least 20 minutes until after ordering. A bit disappointing when you typically would have that prior to receiving your food (we got it afterwards).

Have been there twice, once on a Saturday night and once on a Tuesday. Both nights were really busy but the Tuesday night was really disappointing. The food took ages to come out and was cold when it finally arrived. Staff had forgotten parts of orders and just seemed like general chaos. I had the battered fish and chips - not something I would usually order from a cafe that I thought was a tourist trap. Great batter, nice and crisp, fish wasn’t soft/soggy, pleasantly surprised, and priced well. I’ve given a 5 star.

7pm on a Tuesday. Such lovely staff. The coffee here is nice, a solid 7/10; better then a place that doesn't specialise in coffee, but not as good as a boutique cafe. And they do a lemon lime bitters. The food is very affordable considering the location (mid-city WITH courtyard). This low price become understandable when the meal is presented with regular flavours and ... late night quality. Don't get me wrong, I adore this place. I've spent more time here than anywhere else in the city. It's just that ... it's usually 2am and I'm craving garlic bread and a cappuccino. And this place delivers on it's promises everytime. I'll never stop coming here.

This is the restaurant that i come almost once a week, i'll rate the food 5 stars. However, i gotta say they have to clean the toilet man. Since they only have one unisex toilet, they should probably make sure that the toilet is always clean for use. The toilet is either super dirty where somebody peed all over the floor or somebody vomits all over it. It's super disgusting.

Being able to get a super duber large Chai Latte for a reasonable price is a good thing. With the service being friendly and helpful, the environment being open and having a good location makes this a good late late night coffee or drinks trip. It also has a toilet that is accessible easy, and with a tram stop 1 block away, it is also very easy to get to.
