Wandering through the amazing Queen Victoria Markets picking up lots of fresh fruit and veg before stumbling upon the Italian @CafeVerona.QVM where I picked up Sicilian Donuts and Ricotta Cheesecake. The donuts are soft and pillowey, a slight crunch, dusted with enough sugar without being too sweet, the dough has a lovely lemon flavour which elevates these donuts to next level. As for the baked cheesecake, wow, so yum. A lovely place and staff. We tried some hot chockie and their banatella waffle. Such a perfect combo for a chilly morning. The waffle could’ve been toasted a bit longer to make it crispier and gone with some ice cream instead of whipped cream to justify the $14 price.

Self service place in the market. Sicilian doughnuts were devine with fruit peel and dried fruits, coffee was also good. Worth a stop

Came in just as they were opening at 730. Staff were friendly (the gentleman serving us had an exceptionally calming demeanor). Ordered a chai latte, espresso, breakfast tart, and mini pancakes with berries and ice cream. Everything was amazing! Chai wasn’t overly sweet (which was lovely), the tart was crispy and warm (think croissant style bread) and the filling was just the right ratio (spinach, tomato, mushroom, egg), the pancakes were a little sweet bc of the ice cream but the tart berries balanced them out perfectly. Highly recommend and will crave this for a long time!

Inside the Vic market resides this great little Italian with some great pizza, pasta and more, including the the finest soup I have yet to have this side of the world! The enigmatic Chef loves to make a fuss of you and all the staff are equally nice. Soup is only served in winter months March- November, and comes in a bowl you can swim in, with a fresh baked bread roll. A must try just for the soup!

Ordered 2 pancakes and 3 coffee, would of been nice to get them both at the same time so my extra hot coffee (was really not really hot) that i ordered would of been still hot.
