Cute little cafe, stopped here for coffee and snack, the coffees were very good, and the chicken parma sandwich was yummy. Owner was also very friendly and helpful! Thanks for a good experience!!

This cafe is located in centre place, a really nice laneway with lots of cafes in it. I honestly don’t know why we picked Cafe Vicolino but it was great that we did. I loved their deluxe toastie. Imagine an avo toast topped with bacon, tomatoes, cheese and 2 perfectly poached eggs! Yum! And the turmeric latte was yum as well! Great service too!

Came here for lunch about 10 days ago and this morning picked up a cuppa and a muffin to go with my latte. Coffee was good. Muffin - raspberry with white chocolate chips was very nice. Had half for morning tea and half for afternoon tea. My lunch here was a simple scrambled eggs on toast. They were good but not great. It's an odd restaurant. There is no real layout to the place. Where do you line up for coffee? Where do you pay for your meal? For on display at the front and inside. The staff are nice but one guy is always so intense toward the customers. Kid friendly. Will fill your refillable cup.

Stumbled upon this cafe whilst wandering around the streets of Melbourne on a cold and wet October day. We were seeking somewhere warm for a lunchtime feed and this place was perfect. Friendly staff, and we enjoyed some very delicious Greek dishes. Greek Meatballs and Moussaka with a good bottle of Sangiovese to wash it down.

The cafe is located in one of the classic lanes of Melbourne; staffs were amazing too. However, didn't like the food much. Ordered a big breaky and the chorizo and mushrooms with herbs seemed like pan fried and really oily. Chorizos were thinly sliced as well. Only plus was it had good ambience and the quantity of food was generous. I will give one more chance and return one more time and may be try a different dish.

Food is fabulous! Good, honest wholesome! I had poached eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon. The eggs were perfect, still a little runny and of course the smoked salmon was awesome. The coffee was great. Price was great only $21. And the service - impeccable! Food was quick and hot! Thank you!

Nice cafe with tasty food we ordered a beef burger and chips and a roasted chick pea salad with lamb and a latte. All were tasty and the only thing is they brought out the chips 10 mins before the burger which is unusual. Still enjoyed the meals and would go again.

Cheap and fabulous.. Two words that often don't mix together unless it's describing Mitzi Macintosh.. The drag queen. Except with this you get a take away sandwich for 5 bucks.

This lane way cafe certainly meets my expectations with a variety of sweet cakes, slices and wraps! The lamb and Chicken wraps were delicious and fulfilling while the Matcha and hot chocolate were on point. Absolutely love this cafe. It is a must visit daily (and multiple times daily) when we are in Melbourne. The food is always spot on, service is very quick and attentive and the hospitality from this family crew is amazing. Makes us feel at home everytime we visit.

Great place for breakfast , greeted and felt very welcomed by the barristers in the front the moment I stepped inside with my bf, nice and quite & cute interior. , I ordered a eggs benedict and highly recommend it with tomato relish , it tastes like heaven. The chai latte I ordered was so good it literally cheered me up from a bad morning .

I've been here a few times before and have always enjoyed the food. Maybe today was an off day - the morning waitstaff was somewhat inattentive and disappeared for long stretches. I was fine as I managed to order my coffee and food. The man in the next table was not so lucky. He got his coffee then had to ask another staff for the menu and then no one came back for him. I could see he was getting agitated after about 15 minutes when he finally walked out. It was a weekday and there was only another 3 tables taken at the time.... not sure I'll come back.

We had two very nice breakfasts, and a couple of the nicest coffees I've had in Melbourne. Service was fast, food was hot and tasty. Its a small place with limited room so I dont get why some of the negative reviews complain about this...get there early and you'll have a great experience.

There is no doubt that Maria at Vicolino makes the very best Coffee in Melbourne. I drink my coffee Black with no sugar. When you drink coffee this way, the Barista cannot hide anything. The coffee is either good or it is not. Maria's coffee is not good, it is GREAT. I have taken a few other cafe owners there who were quite blown away. The Crema on the Long Black served in a glass is something to behold.
