Felt like a nice community Cafe. Friendly staff and food was great. Asian Mushrooms (6/10) - my partner enjoyed it a lot more Eggs Benedict w/bacon (8/10) French Toast (8/10) Coffees were really good as well we had a mocha & cappuccino. Would recommend going

Very good service, they make the best ice mocha nice and strong. I accidentally dropped my ham cheese croissant and they offered to make my replacement. Snacks here are really good and tasty. Will be coming back regularly.✌😁

First impression was of warmth. Lots of timber, nice background music and friendly staff. The food was excellent, well presented and prepared. Coffee was good. Enjoyed the visit, fairly limited menu but you can "add on" to the breakfast menu if you want to.

Being a public holiday. We understand that it is busy but service was nevertheless quick and fast. Food is good. Coffee is good. Service wise ....can be improved with more communication with waiting customers both indoor and Outdoor. No proper idea of what is going on on or no one to basically tell us there was a waiting list to begin with. ANNOYANCE was shown by your staff who just said we just basically sat down without permission but either way served us anyway... Could have just told us that we needed to be on the waiting list and we were more than happy to give up the seats or go elsewhere. Other staff that served us was happy to just do their job only one staff showed ANNOYANCE and it felt uncomfortable being slightly discriminated because we are not from this neighbourhood. Overall, felt the experience was still dampened by ONE STAFF'S ATTITUDE. For this 3 stars. Everything else was 5 stars.

In my opinion the best coffee in seddon, wonderful friendly staff who know how to sell a delicious muffin. Had an experience recently where I ordered through Mr yum on their website and came to pick up.. I stood quietly waiting and the waiter came to check what I was waiting for and realised they had missed my order due to a system fault. They could not have handled the situation better and I was just really happy with the overall experience. Most companies wouldn't have even noticed me waiting let alone checked on me and went above and beyond to apologise. It was a heart warming customer experience and their food is all really good.

My favourite cafe. Food is always of good quality with great taste. Weekend specials are worth looking forward to. Well thought out. Great range of tasty cakes. And coffee on point.

Seddon's favorite Cafe I passed through on my way to work on a Monday found it to be very relaxing atmosphere. Music playing in the background not overly loud. Chocolate brownie was delicious 😋. I ordered a soy cappacino that was well made with quality coffee beans. I sat on the Common table that had a dry arranged center piece that added to the feeling of the place.

Came here with some friends for a breakfast chat, food was delicious and generous and the drinks were lovely. My friend had a turmeric latte and loved it and my hot chocolate that came with fairy floss was fun but I probably won’t get it again. Only downfall was the staff made us feel like we were a burden on them and we all had arm aches after finally sawing through the sourdough with the blunt butter knives 😓

Common Galaxia can get very busy during the weekends, would suggest coming in earlier (not sure if they do bookings). Staff are prompt and very friendly, wait times are dependent on how busy the cafe is. They have a reasonably priced menu, which is forever changing. Terrific food presentation. Waffles are cooked well and crunchy, not too hard or soft. The Nutella whip is not too overwhelming and there is enough for the waffles, Ferrero ice cream and crumble balance out the sweetness of the Nutella.

There certainly isn’t anything common about this cafe in Seddon. Beautiful wood features and very friendly and attentive staff. The menu has a great variety of options and some really good vegan choices too making it a great spot for everyone to enjoy a good meal. Parking can be a little tricky to find on the weekend but this cafe is completely worth the walk and drive!

My favourite local cafe in the West. They do great coffee, and food. I took my 7 year old niece and 10 year old nephew there recently and they haven't stopped raving about the fairy floss milkshakes they had. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great vibe. Recommended!

Kiki, Jerry and the team are like family. I have been going to Common (Galaxia) for years. I cannot recommend this place more highly. From the food, to the coffee, but most importantly for me, the people who create that vibe; Kiki, Jerry, Denis, Jordan, Kip, Sarah, Nat, Ariele, Kaela, Georgia, Nanette, Julien, Max, Rojit and Tom (I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone). Common has vibe in spades! The food is awesome, during COVID the team thought on their feet and opened the window and joined Skip. With a new born it was super easy to get what I needed EVERYDAY! Common folk you truly make my heart sing! My go to coffee is always, a large skinny iced latte with one sugar (even in winter)! My go to meals are (I couldn’t choose just one); Sushi bowl add karaage chicken Avocado with ruby grapefruit Pea and feta fritters THANK YOU Common Folk! ♥️

Great place to drop by for great coffee (they use A+) and friendly service. The shop's fitout creates a nice atmosphere for dining in and a reasonable selection on the menu for lunch.

🌱 dairy milk options available (oat/soy/almond) vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options (breads too) -- i went with a pal, seated us right away - they take a drink order while you're looking over the menu. Range of options, and a lot of ability to change to vegan / gluten free. The coffee is fantastic, some of the best within the West. The smoothies are rich & creamy - the only downside is that they still come with plastic straws. We had both the avocado/grapefruit on toast and the mushrooms w/ feta on toast and they were jam packed full of flavour. I ate it way too fast but oooof so good. The staff were incredibly friendly - not even just to us, but the other patrons around. The chefs and staff all seem to have a laugh which is really nice to see. Shout out to our micky mouse shirt wearing waiter and the tall chef with the accent and jurassic park hat! Thanks. [edited review, went back]

The chai latte here was one of the best I’ve had in Melbourne. Came in a teapot with about 2.5 cups per serve - especially good because it’s so tasty. Avocado toast breakfast was average and the gluten free bread basic. Nothing special considering there are some amazing cafes that go the extra mile with the small details. Would come back for the chai but food is a take it or leave it.

Nicely situated in the Victoria Street shopping strip. Interesting taste sensations and combinations on the menu. The Beetroot Bruchetta on Sourdough with Poached Eggs was a great experience. Their Iced Chocolate was prepared with cocoa (not topping from a bottle). Server was knowledgeable and attentive, without being obtrusive. Premises was clean and the tables hade plenty of space for side dishes and drinks. Recommended eatery.

Staff were polite and attentive which is the first thing I look for. First time I go to a new cafe or restaurant, I always order the eggs Benedict as I find if they do this dish well then it's a fair indication of the standard they set for the rest of the menu. Common Galaxias was first class. The hollandaise sauce divine and eggs bordering on perfection. Will go back to explore more of the menu and anticipate them getting 5 stars off me. Yeah not impressed tbh. Firstly. We said we wanted 2 coffee's, one being a chai latte and a latte. My latte came in a takeaway cup for some unknown reason and the chai latte came as then non coffee type and was told they could provide an espresso shot at full price to add to it if we wished... well we did state coffee at the start. Anyway. Breakfast wasnt that great. Sure it looked good, which would be the popularity of this place, everyone being able to Instagram their food. But In terms of quantity and taste, mine personally wasnt crash hot (both poached eggs overdone and next to no bacon on the bacon and eggs....) Many other places around. Wont go back here but it wasnt horrible. Worth a try if your an instagrammer not a tastiefoodeaterer!

Came here at 12pm on a Friday afternoon with a booking made ahead of time. Arrived and the place was pretty busy. We were shoelwn to our seats straight away by friendly staff and were given menus. Food: ordered the sautéed mushroom on sourdough with a side of bacon. Food was exceptional, portion was very generous and everything was just perfect. Food was so good i didnt take a picture because i wanted to eat it straight away. Drink: soy chai latte Loved the set up of the drink. Perfect. Look and feel: loved the decor and modern look. Staff: super friendly and attentive. Worked well in a busy setting. Highlight: everything. Overall: will definitely come back to try more menu items. This place is a must. Book ahead so you dont have to wait for a table.

This place is a little far from city and there isn’t much to do around the street, however it’s a very good place for breakfast. The staffs are great and food is fantastic. Make sure you can call them to reserve a seating! They are very busy on weekends.

Perfectly satisfactory Saturday brunch. Likes: Excellent coffee. Lots of good bacon. Untrimmed. Not shy with avocado. Fully half a fruit on the big breakfast plate. The peanut butter is excellently chunky and salty. Nice decor. Nutella milkshake. Yes. Nutella milkshake. Dislikes: Whatever the sausage was, in the big breakfast. Bland. Neither here nor there, but you might like to know: Some of the waitstaff are a bit too cool to be waitstaff. If this infuriates you, be warned: it's a lottery. Some are awesome. The goats cheese is of the soft, smooth, tangy variety. The kitchen doesn't work faster, just because the place is full: during peak times, don't come if you're starving, or impatient.

At first site you might think that is is a bit expensive for breakfast or lunch, but trust me when I tell you that you get what you pay for. If you want to enjoy breakfast or lunch, you can't go wrong with common Galaxia!

Common Galaxia is one of my fave places to go! The food presentation is always on point, they have a variety of coffee beans to choose from and the service is always above and beyond. Additionally they sell little jars of honey from Melbourne l, which make for great little presents. Highly recommend paying Common Galaxia a visit!

We go here regularly and love it. Their poached eggs are the best I've had anywhere. Their BLAT and their toastie is amazing. The cold brew coffee is fantastic. The staff's warmth and friendliness is next level. Never had anything other than a lovely experience.
